It's become a nightmare here not just for young people but everyone looking for work. These huge line-ups are not even new. For those who remember when Target opened stores here in Ontario and the massive line-ups for those minimum wage part-time jobs! It was insane. This has been going on for over a decade now. But it's even worse than people realize. They neglect to mention that female students at places like U of T turn to prostitution to survive. Not just a few, a significant percentage! There are entire websites devoted to students looking to prostitute themselves to pay rent and tuition! Wake up people! If government wants to get rich off of people, get our pay higher, don't just shovel more into the fire.

Immigration was fine up until the Liberals decided to become globalists. Before that all immigrants were united under the Canadian flag. The Canadian experience, being Canadian, and honoring the Canadian tradition were all real things. Then the Liberals came along and pushed Canada into becoming a multicultural state where everyone became a hyphenated Canadian. Fast forward to today and the hundreds of cultures in Canada are all in Silos, caring more about their original homeland over their adopted home. They've even brought their ancient disputes with them. It's a sad state of affairs. Ultimately designed to divide people, kill the Canadian identity and keep Liberals in power indefinitely.

Immigrants to Canada leave for the U.S. because Canada prefers “high value” immigrants (e.g., physicians, engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs with excellent track records, occupations that are expensive to train and/or individually contribute a lot to the GDP) that the U.S. would also like to attract. Not only can many of these people make more money in the U.S., but they often encounter more help and/or less restrictions with professional licenses (e.g., most states have an industrial exemption for engineers, and do a better job at helping foreign doctors and nurses get their licenses to practice medicine). How many times have we heard of a foreign professional reduced to driving a taxi or becoming a housewife when they move to Canada because an immigration official didn’t properly inform the immigrant of the hoops they would have to jump through, and the provincial professional association offered minimal, if any, assistance? \n\nThis PhD student (and others with more academic than lucrative educations) may think he’ll have it made moving to the US but I think he overestimates his value. The small liberal arts colleges that may have hired someone with his background are decreasing in number or changing to a more technical focus (usually to computer science because it doesn’t require expensive labs needed in medicine or engineering). American students are now more critically examining what degrees, if any at all, will lead to better paying careers, and I doubt Myanmar is on their radar as a money-making opportunity.

So brutal. I have a 15 year old looking for her first job and all her friends ate too. Guess what.....all those jobs we used to get as we entered the workforce are gone. Every single DQ A&W grocery store McDs etc jobs go to foreigners. So where will all the high school kids work? They are becoming despondent and depressed. It's really sad. I am curious to know how many people under 30, who are from Canada, still see their future here? or are planning to move to another country. I am in my 40s, and watch every day as justin gives away everything I have worked for in my life. I will be selling my home soon, most probably to an immigrant family, because the cost of existing here has become way too high. Canada is not diverse anymore. When you go to GTA you will only see Indians and Blacks more. Australia accepts immigrants which they need. Australia don't care even if you study in Australian university but if you are not in their required profession list then you won't get PR. But in Canada you just need university degree and you can apply for immigration and you will get. Thousands of people who were rejected in Australia ended in Canada. And now international students mostly Punjabis coming for rural areas and end up becoming truck driver. Trucking industry is so saturated because of Punjabis. We don't need labour class because we have people for that. What we need is skilled people and educated which is short here.

Most of these immigrants come into Canada have no skills nothing I am a skilled tradesmen and I see what’s going on. It’s very scary not saying that the immigrants coming in or bad it’s just they have no skills and we have young people here that are born in Canada, that could be better to set the skill skill trade. If the boundaries were pushed outside of Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, things may become more affordable. All the land in between Toronto and Windsor. I see many homes once occupied by a family go for sale and become an apartment building for students and/or immigrants. So many people going into the homes that traffic increased many times , moving trucks any time of the month (they must rent by day or week?) and they really pack them in. A 4 bedroom home can see 10 people in it, they don't use the driveway, it sits empty in most of the homes that sold for this purpose . They are generally quit and very inconspicuous except for the people in and out all the time with backpacks on. My only complaint is they they move, they trash the furniture on the side of the street for the neighborhood to enjoy until the city picks it up. \n\nThe person owning that home is making bank on the rentals. so I see why they don't want to stop this.

Canada has become an exclusive club for people who want to own a home or own real estate. Supply side issues but open immigration has made it a real estate haven for investors from all over the world. Black money or not, you can easily bring drug or money laundering, or other dishonest (a.k.a haram) money into Canada, and law enforcement is asleep at the wheel. It has been obvious for a while now that immigration of any kind is no longer beneficial to Canada or in many cases for the immigrant. Housing is out of control expensive and the health care system has deteriorated to alarming levels as there are not enough doctors or nurses or beds to handle the preseent population. Now the prices for food, fuel and most other things have become increasingly expensive and with inflation and interest rates being a concern the issues are pressing from every direction. To be blunt, we do not need any more people entering the country for a few years until more housing can be built, more hospitals can be built, more doctors and nurses hired and inflation and interest rates brought under control. There is evidence that the economy is going to join the party as far as things to worry about and available jobs could lessen, not a good thing.

Canada, where we are told to go green, while they tear down millions of trees. Where we pay taxes on used items that other people paid taxes on already, In BC, where we pay the highest booze prices, where the working man struggles, while Counceller's and politicians buy $200 wine, on our money. Our country can't continue to sustain this problem anymore. I'm sorry that other countries are dealing with corruption, desperation and injustice but if we keep allowing people to break the law by entering illegally and attack citizens without consequences then our country will become just as corrupt and disorderly as there's. We should have laws and policies that are supposed to prevent this kind of thing. But, here are the (long-term) advantages of living here, vs. The Philippines:\n- free healthcare - no matter how rich you are back home, wealth can be depleted if a major illness strikes;\n- free education for your kids up to highschool and opportunity for your kids to enter worldclass universities after highschool;\n- government programs that actually work - Worker rights are upheld, doleouts when you lose your job, 12-month mat/paternity leave, doleout/govt match when you save for yr kid’s university educ, tax rebates for whatever you save for retirement, retirement income even if you never held a job, infrastructures are maintained, transparency and stability of political system; \n- safer environment - yes, greater crimes lately, but still one of the safest places to live. I live in greater Toronto, and sometimes we forget to lock our door at night or leave a bicycle outside and nothing happens;\n- commitment to the environment - the country adheres to protecting the envt. You can drink water from the faucet. Strict laws on recycling and waste disposal. Greenbelt protection on forest and conservation park areas, even in the cities. Canada also has the world’s biggest water supply...in today’s global climate change, were decades away from water wars;\n- a beautiful country with friendly, humble and relaxed people who observe work-life balance

We had to move out from Brampton bc it become terrible place to live. 3000 sq ft beautiful homes in nice subdivision. House next to us, 4 families in one house crowded like rats. Indian music playing laud in garage on Sundays. About 15 kids seating on top of 6 ft fence staring in our backyard. Couldn’t enjoy life anymore. Crime start to spike. Today people blame on Liberals, however that was during Conservative government of Brian Mulroney. Those immigrants destroy city. I hope they all leave Canada.

In Canada you can make $300,000 in a couple of months. Numbers reported are true and its going to increase in 2024. I live in the capital and I see dozens of distress home sales due to increased mortgages. People face high taxation, heavily overburdened healthcare system, unaffordable rentals, loss of jobs, grocery prices over the roof, rapidly increasing crime rate and robberies, uncertainty about the good days again. Canada used to be a good place to settle, but now there are dozens of other countries that are welcoming with an affordable peaceful life. For Indians, there is absolutely no reason to hunt for a job or better life here as it involves start from the scratch for everything. India is rushing to become the fastest growing economy in the world with millions of opportunities and a solid political leadership, a history in the making.

Canada, Australia, New Zealand, USA, and the UK have simply become nightmare for immigrants who are lured by the commission agents for a better future. The government of the five countries pretty much allows the immigration scams to flourish because more people simply mean more money and cheap labor. Basically, it's an indirect slavery into a trapped system that completely destroys your ability to get out of it. These five countries do not have an organic ecosystem to grow in a self sustainable way. These are largely consumer societies depending on the import of goods and food. The import of people generates more tax to keep these countries going. In a nutshell, extreme dirty capitalism will destroy these countries soon.

Saddly, hate crimes are everywhere: christians are hated in some muslim countries - the so-called aposthasy can destroy the lives of many people - and they have to practise their religion in secrecy... and in western countries you will be hated if you're a muslim citizen. Partly because less people moved in 2020-2021 to become eligble in 2024 for citizenship remember that. Covid PRs were delayed landing or were sitting out and they would have met 1095 days late 2023-late 2024. This will trend up overwhelmingly in 2025 when all suddenly arrived in 2022..

I would return home if i wasn't sucked dry here with no resources to go back. I’m Canadian by birth and this would not surprise me. If you go to large cities like Toronto you would be hard pressed to find someone who was born in Canada, the amount of homeless and mentally ill people is staggering.\nHousing and rents are unaffordable unless you have a government job.\nI’m 63 now and always considered Canada to be a great place to live but for the past 20 years it’s become just like any other shitehole.
