Transition meds are heavy duty narcotics. Impossible to deploy these people. Most CANNOT meet the medical requirements. A high percentage end up on disability and stay on our dime for life. Totally unfair to the taxpayer and their fellow soldiers. I do not believe CNN here. I've read too many articles citing all the negatives of their treatments and outcomes. Sure there is undoubtedly some that thrive but, as a group, they are a large drain on the military.

There is nothing about not having trans in military not having value. The Navy trans as a woman is not a woman so when did he/she transition, Before or after. She can look female but he is a he with all the advantages of muscle mass. Since he actually passed the physical stuff indicates the maleness prior to transition. If the task is for the most powerful, most cohesive, most advanced and most feared military - they you don't just have an obligation to arm them as well as you can, you have to look to everything that impacts morale and how the military budget it spent. The efficacy and morale of the military as a whole is the priority as far as setting policy goes. People with flat feet can't join and there's an argument to be made that they're better suited to serve.

They do not meet the medical standards, and do not need to be a distraction to the other 99.98% of the military. In basic training, there are open showers. Young women go thru enough stress during bootcamp, and they dont need the added stress of having to shower next to a naked man.
