There's an old say from my country that goes: the cat whose belly is full, always find the tail of the mouse taste bitter. So the immigrant, like a hungry cat, comes to Canada for food( opportunities) and once his belly is full, he then starts complaining of the taste of the food. You ladies just named every single reason why an opportunist can't stay in one place. I live, as an immigrant in the US, and Im a physician, and I can tell you while the Canadian health system is flawed it is far better than the US. Your 8 hrs+ waiting in the ER is literally a standard waiting time...so please be PATIENT! ( just getting a little sarcastic here, i know it sucks!) 35 to 40% of my money go the government ( although i feel they take 50%) and life is not that cheap ( a lot of Physicians leave expensive places like NY because they can't afford them anymore! ) have you heard of HOMELESS workers in LA? ( some have 2 jobs but still can't afford an apartment and live in their cars ) things are hard everywhere, especially if you are an immigrant living in one of the coldest place in the world (btw nobody called you, that was your choice, so suck it up!) I hope one day, while Im still young, I can go back home to work for my people, and not when I retire and tired to have my people work for me, how selfish and opportunistic is that mentality! The Nomad life most of you like, is killing a country spirit and Culture and it's no longer feasible in modern society, since the lands have borders and names and inhabited by people that value a sedentary life. The idea of people going to the foreign countries to get their passport so they can travel the world, sounds so individualistic...which Nation can develop with that kind of thinking of their citizens?....definitely not yours.

Canada is to me the best country in the world. Having in various European countries for a decade, and born and raised in Africa, I frankly can’t complain about life in Canada. I’m not earning a high income but thank God, I live a decent life. No debts, all my expenses are funded by my decent income. Plus, I travel around the world since I got my Canadian passport.\nI understand all the arguments in this video but I will not leave Canada for another country.

Canada is similar to America minus the gun violence, when you come from a almost homogeneous society where you are the majority ethnicity/tribe is used more. I have to respectfully disagree with you girls on the tax system in Canada. You mention that you cannot be a millionaire or a billionaire. \n\nI really think that is the problem with our generation, excessive greed, everyone wants to be a millionaire/billionaire, but the reality is most of people in this world will only live an average middle class life or below, that has been the case throughout history in every country on earth. \n\nInstead of wanting to be a millionaire you should strive follow your passion and to master your craft, and if and when you do so, the end result maybe you achieving millionaire billionaire status \n\nThis how most rich people got their wealth, they worked at their craft and had passion and eventually they got the wealth that came along with it \n\nI agree with Canada's progressive tax system, the only problems we have run into since 2010 is that the government has been misallocating taxes collected and giving co-operate tax breaks. But the principle of the progressive tax system makes sense, because up until recently (2010ish) it prevented the nation's wealth from accumulating at the top and in the process increased the velocity of money.\n\n This enabled business to thrive because money was constantly changing hands instead of being concentrated at the top. \n\nThis had an overall effect of enabling most Canadians to join the middle class and in turn make Canada an attractive destination for many immigrants including your selves \n\nIf Canadian system did not have a progressive tax system, there would be gross inequality with all the associated problems (crime/drugs etc). \n\nI really think prospective immigrants should be realistic about their expectations before moving to Canada to avoid dissatisfaction. \n\nIf you could not be a millionaire in the country you were born in and of which culture you belong, but some how you believe that you can move half a world away and become a millionaire. \n\nYou know part of the reason you could not even achieve middle income statust in Africa (I am from Africa as well) let alone be a millionaire is because all the wealth in most African countries is concentrated in the hands of a few corrupt bastards in the government. \n\nThis concentration of wealth at the top is possible when there is no progressive tax system and ensures economic equilibrium in all sectors of the economy\n\nIt is the reason why there is no jobs or opportunity for young people in developing countries \n\nDo not get me wrong you can still be a millionaire in Canada, but you will have to really earn it, there is no shortcuts in life\n\nPatience, passion and perseverance is the key.

I couldn't agree with you more. Canada has become another one of those mindless Totalitarian states like American China, Russia, etc., etc. I spent 10 years in China working as a teacher. I went there because I was fed up in my country and when I returned it was worse than when I left. As I am now 68, if I can afford to leave again I will and I'll never return again. I told the Chinese who knew me I was returning because I missed the land, but I never really missed the people. Now that I'm back, since Jan. 2022, I want to leave again and I will and Never return. Health care in this country is in the Sh*t-house, it's impossible to get a family Dr. In part I returned for medical reasons, but now would rather die than have to deal the the Canadian medical bureaucracy - REALLY !!! No disrespect to this man but how do you live in a country for 15 years and not pick up at least an elementary level understanding of the language. Especially English. English is one of the more easier languages to learn. Even easier than spanish since you dont have to worry about conjugation of verbs etc. Alot of English is just memorizing words and knowing basic grammar to string those words to together. Even broken english or english with a thick accent is good enough since most people will get the gist of what your trying to say over time. I understand putting yourself out there when you dont know the language may be a bit embarrassing since you may mess up alot but most people are pretty patient. I don’t honestly know these people live day to day not being able to communicate with most people.

Racism is only going to get worse because those who cry RACISM every step they take are abusing the term. Frankly i am tired of it, what about racism against white people that want to live in their native countries? We have all these immigrants of different culture and color come to our countries and try to turn it into the very country they fled from in search of better life. And if you oppose them, or ask them to try to live by our cultural traditions since they came to our country, they scream Racism!!! I am from India, since my childhood I was curious moving abroad any developed countries, when I moved to Canada I lost interest. There is no life it is just a developed country. Weather of Canada is very depressing.

The one thing that stops Canada being a great country is the French langauge. I have been to Vancouver many times since 1990 and the real second language of Canada is Manderin Chinese. It is only federal staff in BC who have a smattering of French.

I understand this fully as I came to Uk as a child 60 yrs ago. .. I feel the same way today. These western countries lack sense of community and neighbourhood... and spend most of their lives in loneliness thus leading to depression. 14 years ago my father passed away and I brought his body back to India .. as he loved coming and spending his retirement years back home in India.\nI miss him so much and also have started coming to india every year since his death.I’m also retired now. \nI have come to understand how people from our countries look forward to emigrate to make a better living and earn money without realising the consequences that this will have on our lives. \nThank you so much for this video.?

so well explained. Iam an Indian living in West Africa (Ghana, Nigeria, Benin) since last 23 years. Indian life and norms of socialization is very much like the African way. I have never lived in any of the developed country but I can relate to everything you say because I have relatives who live there and have told me exactly what you are saying.

I can agree with these comments if your not American, growing up we had all that interaction with family, friends and neighbors. Life n times have changed in America due to gun violence, especially in large cities. Socializing is different in every state in America and in every country. I can understand how if your not accustomed to our ways of life even today, that you would prefer your ways of living back in your hometown and your Country. If you live in a big City in America and moved there from a smaller town in America, you will be feeling some loneliness, that's normal to us in America. If your American then you adjust to making n meeting new people, that hasn't been so easy with the pandemic for anyone. To compare our homes in one community from another or even from another country, is just criticism. We don't have a specific way of living, as far as our homes are constructed. This is how as American's we have always lived, small homes, large homes, big cities, small towns. Since the pandemic we do find ourselves spending more time inside due to no fault of our own. We do have different ways of living but so do other countries which we do enjoy when we visit. If you want to learn more about America and our lifestyles and history, you should do that. Every Country has it's government rules n law's and we try to abide by them, that's what makes our Country n Our Nation Great, that's also why many people come here to visit or work and study. Loneliness can be anywhere, depending on the person you are and reaching out to make new friends or just acquaintances is important. This change is going on in Europe as well - not only America, however its very different in each part of Europe. USA is a huge country, with very different climates and communities, so lets not generalize. In Europe, i am from central eastern europe, yes, ppl tend to stay more and more at home, since the internet age. In the 80s more kids were outside, but its still way more community friendly than in some parts of the US where they dont even have sidewalks on the streets. In Europe, southern ppl still spend much time outside (spain, italy, greece), and the dutch, scandinavians, germans are traditionally colder ppl. The rest is technological change + covid effect and lazyness. + ppl are stuck to mainstream media which pumps them full of shit, fear and they are scared from each other - and try to compensate with buying more useless stuff.

Canada is NOT a good country to live in. \nThe last 30+ years between the constant increases in taxation. The criminally high cost of housing, high cost of commodities, i.e. food, clothing, fuel, utilities, and since we are now suffering from the ineptitude of Justin trudeau, more and more canadians are looking to leave the country, myself included, for the sake of our financial wellbeing, our peace of mind, and reprieve from the seemingly endless cycle of hurry up and wait for healthcare needs, personal matters, and dealing with multi tiered, multi layered government regulations for nearly everything. I personally have contacted consulates general of 12 different nations from the EU to the pan Asian region as well as the US, and will not be living in Canada by summers end 2022. Canada is a land with great resources, great opportunity and potential, but for a place with so much supposedly smart people they do alot of dumb things. Been here 7 years now and I have seen so many issues that have obvious solutions but because of some weird culture or heritage or whatever they just keep doing the same thing until it hurts them. The real estate market is an absolute MESS and everybody knows. Money laundering, realtors colluding to set prices, blind auctions etc you name it. But they are just gonna keep doing the same thing until the country is in a major recession. Then everybody is going to be crying for bailouts. The health system is a MESS. Trying to find a doctor is like finding a needle in a haystack. They have them driving taxis instead, claiming that their qualifications arent as good. Yet they dont have enough doctors or nurses to support anything. Coworkers whose spouses work in those industries let me know they have to be working ridiculous shifts because there are not enough people. The taxes are ridiculous. I work in I.T. and taxes are like roughly half my salary. Many coworkers have told me all the illegal stuff they do to get around the taxes. Which I don't do because I wasn't raised like that. But people get taxed so much everyone is doing some thing to try to bypass it. And if you dont know the tricks or dont want to do them, you just get screwed. People don't talk about real issues here. There is alot of fake positivity and optimism because they dont want people to get sad and suicidal from the really long and harsh winter. I used to wonder why there were so many train delays until some one explained to me that many people commit suicides in winter by stepping in front of the trains. The only thing propping up this country is the constant influx of immigrant slave labour through the college system, (Like a ponzi scheme). But the immigrants are going to stop coming here if they cant even afford to live at all. Even the regular citizens cant afford it. So what will the country do after that, since there is an elderly population and not enough people to support the industries? Right now most of the immigrants come here and save up there money to go somewhere else or back home after they realize what a shitshow it is. I even have coworkers born and raised in Canada who are telling me they want to leave. Canada needs to stop patting itself on the back for doing stupid apologies and stuff like that, and actually do economically sound things to stop digging themselves into this hole. Great potential for this country but I don't know if it will ever be realized.

I live here now for 13 years and I agree this Reference and Canadian experience BS is reticules!!! Furthermore discriminating since some non Canadian Countries eg. This is a good analysis. I find that the people who find Canada worthwhile are people from developing countries who are wealthy, and have children since the education system is good, and it's safe. If you're single then I don't know whether it's worth it.

I am from NYC and I always wanted to visit the Maritimes since I was in 3rd grade in 1987-88 when I saw them on a Atlas that I had ordered. In 2006 I got to fulfill that dream. I started in Halifax and I toured Cape Breton Island, Antigonish, the Acadian country and the Cabot Trial.\nMy tour guide a warm friendly former Lieutenant in the Canadian Army made the trip for me! We went to PEI and rode bikes on beautiful trials. We crossed the Confederation bridge stepped foot on New Brunswick and crossed right back to Halifax.

Back then immigration was better but globally the cost of living is nuts in most countries especially Europe and add climate change so keep in mind forest fires floods and earthquakes when you move not just work. I've never lived in Canada but I come from Australia and I moved out to a cheaper place since I work remotely. Prices in the developed Anglo-Saxon countries have skyrocketed and its no longer sustainable to live on an average income. If you have any skills that allow you to work remotely, do it and move to a cheaper country. You'll live a much more comfortable life.

I'm Asian from Republic of Korea. I liked USA but since a few days I'm really hating that country because of racism against Asians, Black people, people who are different religious. I've not seen other countries being this racist as America. I'm not saying that everyone from USA is racist but sadly i'm sure majority of them are! American people think that every Asian is Chinese and they call us Virus, they tell us to go back to our country if an Asian visits. I’m a Canadian Citizen through my parent since age 5 years old and has lived in Canada almost of my life getting tired of how the system worked, deep down it’s like socialism system through the world it’s a greater country to visit but to live and raise your family it’s really a struggle almost in any aspects of area . Even though I’m working as a nursing field I realized Canada it’s really tough on work employment really discrimination etc….I’m here in USA so much freedom and life seems much decent living as long you know how to narrow it and live a peaceful life . Canada is my dream country,since I was young.Manitoba is my dream province.And 6yrs ago,I penpaled with one Canadian lady who died of cancer.I will be there and work there.

I left Canada to have a better life overseas some years ago, and I'm very happy with my life now. I grew up in Toronto and moved to Vancouver with my family later on, but neither places had weather conditions we wanted. Toronto winter is too long and Vancouver has depressing non-stop rain for six months. On top of all that, everything there got way too expensive to live and everything is too slow... Did I mention endless road constructions everywhere since forever ago? Well, some of us tried very hard to stay but sometimes migrating can help. \nCanada is definitely a beautiful country, but beauty isn't what makes our lives happy in reality.

I agree with all the points, but this situation is not only in Canada but everywhere. I will start from my home country India, Since graduation I was working as a part time teacher and I deadly love that profession. To qualify myself I did so many courses, internships, attended workshops, completed my B.Ed and M.Ed but everything went vain when I started searching a job. The amount of hardwork I did was not at all recognizable, salaries were so low but still I worked thinking may be later I will get an opportunity but to a disappointment it never happen. Later, I moved to UAE thinking maybe here atleast I will get what I expected, struggled for 5 months to get a job luckily I was on a family visa. I lowered my expectations, ready to work on the lowest salary but still I did no job. Finally I decided to go back to my home country but was still applying for the jobs thinking to not loose hope till the date of my flight and believe me the next day I got a call and got selected the same day with an average package not the lowest but still I was happy. So I think difficulties are everywhere it depends on how you are dealing with them and mostly being positive is the main key for success. Even I am deciding to immigrate Canada, have many friends their who are happy with their lives but it doesn't mean I should keep my hopes high but the best thing I can do is accepting whatever is coming to me and being grateful of whatever I have. (BTW teachers are underrated everywhere)

canada is great country to immigrate if you come from money. and your family can comfortably bankroll your stay there. but if you are going too canada thinking you'll make money, well lets just say you will be brutalised by life there. the best time to move to canada is whn doing an undergraduate degree since you get to start from the bottom in matters of work experience and build the social networks along the years. it is sad to hear cab drivers in canada most who are immigrants were doctors, some even surgeons back in their home country

Justin Trudeau seriously caused a huge immigration issue of Mexicans and south americans coming to our country. Like dude I was born in Canada and my parents are immigrints who came legally so I can tell you my side. A non biast side. Since I live and work here I can tell u most people of colour r welcoming, however most people who are here and have trouble finding work dont wanna see more people come and make it harder like texas and arizonia. They dont wanna have a min standard and have a reguee take their job at a quarter of what ur asking. What Justin Trudeau did was really stupid IMO. U opened the door to millions of reguees. This causing a issue more for USA, so they jump 2 international borders. My personal view is lets stip immigration. CLose the border. WE gotta take care of who we have here already. I have a following question, it would be highly appreciated if you could clarify.\nYou mentioned that PCC required from any country where you have stayed for more than 6 months in the past ten years. I am bit confused here; for example: I am an Indian, who has stayed in UAE for 3 years and I am currently staying in NZ since July 2019. Does that mean I need to obtain PCC from India, UAE and NZ ? Or the recent country which is NZ ? However it won't be an issue to obtain PCC from NZ and India.

Since taxes seem to be biggest interest. This is latest stat for average household: 40% to taxes and 32% to living (home, food, transportation) with taxes expect to go up even more under current government. And FYI, weather in Vancouver is mild but has one of the highest standards of living and homelessness in Canada. And we don’t have “free” healthcare it’s socialized. So going to clinic for basic check up is ok but anything more there are long wait times with many choosing to go out of country to get treatments. It’s important to be mindful of the propaganda about Canada or any country really. I love my country but it’s not a wonderland.
