As a white Canadian who loves living in Canada because of how MY friends respect and invite all people of all colours in our lives - it breaks my heart to hear this.\nHER WARNING IS NO SURPRISE... US is about the only country in the developed world (and maybe world in general) where you can go bankrupt or lose your life despite having a good job, nest egg and even health insurance. The complete and utter lack of control over who has guns and who doesn't is the problem. Canada is not perfect and guns are avaimobile but the majority of canadians do not own firearms for their own protection. Hunting yes, and there are gun enthusiasts.That's fine, but on the whole.Most canadians do not have a pistol or a nine mill in their fucking bedside table. Increase access to guns equals increased opportunities for accidents. This people are fallible guns are fatal. I really do not agree with the Republican sentiment.And the NRA bias bias regarding.I have a right to have a gun just because I do. If more americans understood what that particular constitutional right actually meant you might have less gun violence.

Who produced this? A Conservative Party, Moscow or Republican-backed group? Who has interest in cynically manipulating this data and avoiding any kind of perspective? Living in Canada, my quality of life has decreased these past years, but not any worse than elsewhere in the G7. This is dangerous, malicious and irresponsible hogwash.

This is why there needs to at least be a threat of lethal force. Trump and his administration were too extreme in one direction and now Biden and his administration are too extreme in the other direction. This is exactly why there needs to be a moderate political party. Republicans voted against the bill trying to fix this and giving joe the power to close the border for just this very situation. \n\nGOP's Birder Union wanted this, Border Security and Patrol officers wanted this....speaker was already against the bill before he was even able to review it.\n\nTrump administration had control of congress and what did they do to fix this. Why did the Republicans block the border security bill?

The American ideals have moved north. We use to follow the UK and Europe but more American companies have bought out Canadian ones. Thanks to the Free Trade Agreements. Our Conservative groups are now like Republicans and with Americans buying up everything soon we will all be like Alberta. So very sad.

One time expense of 206 million to round them up and send them home. That is not limited to the southern boarder but all the Islamic coming through Canada.

This is so odd for me because I am having a similar experience, but in the opposite. I live in a small town in Michigan, USA that is very Christian, conservative, and republican. It's very much a place that I want to leave (so maybe in that way we are similar?), but most of my family lives here so it's difficult. I crave a sense of community where I can be surrounded by like-minded people. There is a feeling of division, one that I think is amplified by social media. I don't want to add to that separation, but it seems like there's a hard line in the sand and you're on one side or the other. \n I could never move away from my home country! It's so weird watching other people do it, and it makes me think about the people who stayed during mass exodus in, for example, Scotland. It's like, I share ancestry with Scottish people, but they don't have an immigrant-based background. Ya'll stayed? How does that work?? And here I am, staying. Does that make sense?

Im just gonna say this. I generally vote Republican. In case anyone forgets, thats who protects the constitution. Furthermore, i can take in a mother with children because women and children are our most vulnerable people. Blame the republicans they won't vote for border security

This is NOT emigration! This is invasion! Pure and simple, these people are invading our country, and this has got to stop! If the GOP wants to win in 2024. Pass a law telling all illegals to go home. It will be voted down in the Senate or if it passes both houses and goes to Biden's desk, he will surely VETO it as quickly as possible! With that to use coming up to the election, the Republican Cantidates can hardly lose.

Sad story is this was started by Republican businessmen that hired Central Americans to work their farms homes and factories as cheap untaxed laborers. But when they got citizenship they voted Democratic. And still even now Republican states complain yet will not use the state militias to defend the US. They just play Anti-Democratic Party politics with it.

Like you, I know someone happy with their job, location, medical care and opportunities, but they are also very uncomfortable with the political situation - I'll just say it - Republicans. You need only look at Trump and its followers. Guns over lives (including kids), billionaires over poor, religion over others' freedoms (gay/trans/abortion, etc), mass spread of misinformation (Fox news, OAN, etc) and a personal selfishness and anger which was made very clear during COVID times. It makes them feel like they are walking on eggshells, at least compared to Canada where they lived before and people would look out for each other more (even if they didn't know them). They like the weather, job, opportunities, the USD buying power, and their friends, among many other things, but it just feels excessively risky to them dealing with the combinations of these things. I can completely understand why they and others might want to leave the US.
