I am able to achieve the American dream in two years with an average salary( single income) , protect myself and my family with 2nd amendment right. 30yr fixed mortgage rate at 3.0% on a brand new house what Canadians would consider a big home at 2400 sq foot home. White Brampton millennial resident who grew up in 99.9% white East Coast here- this video does not provide an accurate representation of the entire city. It shows a tiny sliver. Brampton’s crime levels are lower than most other GTA cities. I feel safer here as a single woman than any other city I’ve lived in. There are Indians calling back home to their families in India in the middle often the night and they often go outside so as to avoid disrupting the sleeping members of their household. This makes me feel very safe bc I know there are normal ppl out late at night and it dissuades criminals. For the population size of Brampton, the homeless population is very low. There are folks who do sit in front of that church - tho it’s not at all dangerous like you said. There is a homeless enclave hidden in the woods behind a shopping plaza too. I see almost no homeless ppl. The biggest problem about Brampton and other suburbs of the GTA is that there are many scammers. They scammed their way into buying homes with fake T4s. They scam the CRA by not claiming their rental income so they tax evade. They use all this extra money to buy more homes which they rent out and fraudulently put them under their family members names to avoid designating them as investment properties meaning they don’t have to pay capital gains tax when they sell. T

I understand. I'm going back to Europe after 17 years!! I'm a certified teacher with a brilliant teaching career in Europe and I cannot teach here. Everything is so expensive and I cannot make it anymore. I agree, it's just very sad, it's our life, our dream. I came to Canada with a lot of love and with the willingness to give all my heart, potential, abilities and skills. I cannot make it anymore...my soul and heart are slowly dying. I'm 55, I cannot end my life working two or more jobs and moving every two to four years because landlords keep kicking out of the house old tenants because they raise the rents. Over $3000 a month. Who can afford that? I'm a single mom. Buying a house is impossible as well...\nSo I'm going back to my country. Over half of my young 20 to 30 year old friends only managed to move out of their parent's via some combination of couch surfing or cramming themselves into small spaces with other friends\n\nIt's not only NIMBYs, the zoning regulations are ridiculously restrictive and make developers waste land on giant mazes of single family homes that will inevitably be bought up to cram 40 students into each.

There is a single Gurdwara in Timmins, and Northern college in Timmins is full of international students mostly from India. Just to clear up what buddy said at the end. I moved from Brampton to Timmins and am seeing the same trends here that I witnessed in Brampton.

We have the same problem. I actually like the people, but….somehow, immigrants have managed to have been able to acquire the vast majority of retail jobs in our area. How is that possible? There are businesses and fast food chains with not one white person working as an employee. I spoke to a former worker that was at one of these businesses for years and asker her WTF happened? She told me that the company hired a new manager from India, within 6 months, half the staff were Indian, local students were not being hired for part time jobs, only Indians, by the end of the year, every single employee was Indian. \nShe along with other quit their jobs because….not because they’re racist, but because not only were they being treated differently than the now majority brown workers, but they were being made to feel excluded because…the manager and the new staff all spoke a different language, they would all work together in a group not speaking English at all, saying things and laughing making it pretty obvious that they were making fun of the white employees. The “manager” would ignore the white staff’s complaints and he would then seemingly punish them by giving them less hours, change their duties and give “the good shifts” to the new brown people to the point where the white people were made to feel alienated as well as cutting back their hours leaving them with not enough hours to make a living. “This is Canada Mother Fecker” these people need to speak our language when they’re in public or at the workplace with “Canadians” or…employers should fire them. I will note, that the A&W that this happened at, has changed not only by every single employee being brown, but the service is not near as friendly, they all speak to each other in a different language behind the counter.. the seating area is not even close to being clean, the tables usually are left with trays and garbage that aren’t being cleaned as customer leave. It so bad sometimes that I literally have to pick a dirty table and remove the garbage myself because every available table has not been cleaned….and the bathrooms …. I don’t even want to talk about it they’re so disgusting. And when you complain….they turn to other employees and speak a different language… so we have no idea about WTF they are actually doing or saying about the issue. “ Thank you Sir, we will take care of that.” And the next day…it was the same. I’ve stopped going there along with everyone that I know…our work crew along with our families can no longer support such a dirty, rude and disrespectful business.

This is not just Brampton, it’s spreading from city to city throughout Canada. White flight is in full effect and every single time 1 person moves, like 5 foreigners take their spot.

I lived on brampton a year after moving to canada, 1977. Went to high school there. I escaped after all of these years, i really have a hard time visiting some of my friends that are left there. The biggest issue i see is that there are multiple families in a sinhle family dwelling, and if you do the math, the schoolbosrd is always inthe red and looking for money. Simply put, yhe education levy on property tax generally is meant to cover 2 children per single family dwelling, not 6 not 8. Hod forbid something happens to you, it is quicly covered up otherwise race gets brought into the mix. I was rear ended by an indian lady 5 years ago, she was charged, i was a lame duck at a red light, could not move as i would hsve been tboned. She was charged but she fought it in court, i was contacted to confirm my appearance from the police officer that was first on the scene the day before the trial, the subpoena was never senr by tge prosecutors office. The prosecutor was angry that i showed up, he had already made a deal with her and dismissed all charges. Would thd same stick have bern used if i rear ended her. This is the isdue with brampton, indian is ok, everybody else, not so much

It is horrible that we are seeing an increase in homelessness, drugs, and declone of heslthcare system. The rich don’t pay their fair share in taxes just loop hole tax invasion with charities. People go in debt for an education. People on single parent Disabikity or Welfsre incomes besides minimum wage are closer to the poverty line since the Inflationery hike’s incline to decline. Doctors and teachers don’t make enough to keep up with inflstion. There are family doctor shortsges. I can’t afford to live here anymore, healthcare has declined, personal safety, fuel costs, insurance etc. most of all our politics are a mess on all three major parties. The AI, bots and trolls on the internet are telling them what they want to hear in order to stir up hate and entitlement. The real problem are politically slanted channels like this one. Don't get your panties in a twist: nothing in this video was a lie. Nothing not true. But like far too much now, it simply seeks to project a vibe to capitalize on the feelings of its targeted audience. Immigrants, drugs and big government, oh my. Is that really all there is to this though? Are your feelings that there are too many immigrants or the simplicity of a solution such as just lowering the price really all there is to it? Ask yourself: what role does the government play in prices that are too high? Does the city of Toronto own the buildings or set the prices? Who does? If the government came in tomorrow with the military and took ownership of all of the buildings and single family dwellings in order to lower their prices and repurpose the land more efficiently for denser urban housing at lower prices, how would you respond to that? Or should the government spend all of the money they are making to buy up properties at market value and then rebuild for more efficient, cheaper and denser housing? What would your response be to that? Immigrants: there are too many. Is it that simple? What would the population of Canada look like in 20 years with just the birth rate of non-recent Canadian citizens (ie no immigrants from the past 15-20 years)? That there is a problem is obvious. Playing on the feelings of group A or group B, showing them the things they fear and presenting it as something everyone does not already know while deliberately ignoring other vital parts of the problem is predatory at best. Your feelings, opinions and gut will solve nothing. Blinding yourself to entire parts of broken systems will solve nothing. Videos and channels like this seek only the engagement that the algorithm demands. It will only deepen the mistrust between citizens and their fellow citizens and citizens and the government, that is, their fellow citizens that have been elected to be said government (not some invading outside force beyond all control) and increase the polarization of groups in an already strained society. I've been homeless before too. Absolutely sickening how foreigners get special treatment in housing simply because it looks better globally. THEY CHOSE TO COME HERE! They should have done their research before coming. In a world where information is so easy to come by, its beyond irresponsible to move to a new country without doing research first. If you move to an Islamic country, your daughters *won't* have the choice of wearing or not wearing a hijab. Depending on which country you choose, they may also not have the option to drive a car, reman single or have a profession. I was misdiagnosed for year and could have died when I went to the emergency room. I needed surgery and was told my wait would be two years. Then, when I went to Serbia to have life-saving surgery, the government would not refund the cost, because they decided it was not an emergency—I “could have survived with a catheter”. The doctors in Canada are kind and lovely people, but they are just overworked. The system is completely broken. I’ve been telling all my European friends who are thinking of immigrating to Canada to stay far away. Is there a single government service in Canada that is functioning well?

As someone living in Quebec I can confirm.. housing prices just seem unreasonable for someone with a modest income. pretty much had to keep living with family and pay them a rent that is liveble with.. Heard other people who can't count of family had to share single person appartments with friends and sometimes even random people in similar situation. Its honestly terrifying to think about potentially having no home despite getting a modest income..\nThe medical scene is probably a bit better but still not that great looking. Quebec had (dunno how it works in other provinces) a system of Family doctors that the medical system sort of relied on. yet there is barely no family doctors left. I can't buy the meds I need without a doctor giving me the prescription but I no longer have a family doctor for the last 5 years. I've been jumping through hoops and all just to get somehow to extend or give me another year of prescription.. I need those meds for life though....\nFood situation.. I guess sure the prices have increase but for the most part we(me and family) are still hanging on fine. However restaurents have gotten too pricy so we had to cut luxury out of our life.

So I had an accident last week, I got a a fair amount of metal shavings in my eye and I lacerated my eyelid, it took 5 hours to see a doctor. A friend of mine has property with a lot of wood on it , he was behind on property taxes by $200 and the provincial government (basically owned by J.D Irving here in New Brunswick ) are trying to seize his property. Our government is owned by large corporations and our leader is a stuttering idiot who wants to tax us more on every single thing we need to survive.

Why not have a government program that pays new immigrants to build housing? Denmark has a program of simple, affordable housing for single parents where there is a shared large kitchen and everyone participates in making dinner 2 X a month and doing clean up 2 X a month, but you get dinner as a group every night. It's great for working parents, plus there are built in friends for the kids. We need more cohousing options.

Healthcare costs spending in Euro counties isn’t a fair comparison because it ignores the nature of the geography. Canada is the 2nd largest country on earth by land area and much of the country is made of smaller, remote regions where it is beyond expensive to render heath care services onto the population. There isn’t a single Euro country with a population as spread out as Canada. I wish more people would move closer to urban centres so that it is cheaper to render services to them, but the fact is, you won’t find a single Euro country that deals with providing care to these extremely remote towns that make up so much of Canada. We have entire provinces that are mostly comprised of remote, hard to access towns. It’s just an unfortunate fact of the nature of where we live.

I think everyone is missing the point here. I Don’t support Israel’s retaliation, but I wondered why the Arab world has not taken in a single refugee. Poland didn’t condone Russia’s attack by taking in hundreds of thousands Ukrainian refugees. If Egypt, jordan, Quatar, to name the immediate Arab Neighbors would rally together to get the women and children out of harms way, surely the outcome would be better for these poor people. \n\nSadly this is not the case and it appears as though this conflict will never find a solution, as long as both parties are not able to set aside their millennia aged quarrel, acknowledge each other’s deep roots and belonging to the same land, and accept that they both come from the exact same bloodline. The exact same seed of a man named Abraham. Both parties need not to like or even tolerate each other, but they both need to respect each other’s right to co exist within that space. I’ve heard some disgusting vitriol from both sides, honestly. Both sides have and are behaving like animals. Infact animals are more civil, as their disputes are settled in a more humane manner, without the casualties within their communities. Yet, despite being created in God’s image with the ability of sophisticated communication, both sides are unable to get past their own hurt pride, at least for the sake of the innocent lives that have and continue to be lost on BOTH sides, to finally squash this matter once and for all.\n\nGrowing up I had a cousin . We both were the only Sons of our respective immediate families’, born to identical twin sisters, 3 months apart. From\nA young age everything was competition between us. Who ran faster, jumped higher, threw further. Every thing we did, and we spent a lot of time around each other, was constantly turned into a “who does it better”. This resulted in us usually throwing down as one of us, feeling like we may be on the losing end of any given task, would just get frustrated, and start soccer punching the other. And my cousin and I from the time were off the diary to the day we both matured, would THROW down. We would literally just start throwing punches at each other, it was honestly impressive how we both would manage to land equal amount of hits to look like literal bloody hell, and guess what, even those fights became competition as even our dads would throw money with the others pitching for their favourite. Fortunately, our moms, the only adults in the our community, looking back, people would just pick a side and watch as go at each other, than pull us off each other, would come stomping out of the house grab each one of us by our ears, gives us a good smack in the back our heads and sit us down, look each one of us straight in the eye, and say something like, “cut it out, you two are family, more brothers than cousins” they would demand that we both go hug it out, have a bath, if we managed to do that peacefully then we were allowed to partake in dessert that evening or allowed to stay up a little later watching tv, or whatever . My point with this overtly personal analogy is that both the Palestinian and the Israeli sides should be dragged off each there by their figurative ears pulled, sat down, scolded and reminded of their ancestrial ties to each other and to the very same land. \n\nBe honest with yourselves, some how amongst all this hate, vitriol, unnecessary death of innocent lives, are you, and those you rally with be truly ok with your opposing side coexisting harmoniously beside each other? If the answer to this question is no, the other side can not have any claim to this land and needs to be removed to god knows where, if not off the earth all together then it’s your people, not mine, that are doomed. We’ll still be chilling in North America, horrified at the unfolding events but chilling nonetheless. Although it somehow claims to not be doing so, the actions of Israel demonstrate a gruelling callousness towards Palestinian life or right to life, and the staunch calls of the constant pro Palestine protests, calling for the eradication of Israel, none absent of a deep, hate and disgust towards the Jewish people. Both are in need of serious internal reform. Honestly as a complete outsider, SHAME ON BOTH OF YOU. I don’t care who started it, or who said or did what, at this point it is imperil that this end immediately. And as an outsider, I think it’s is important that pressure be applied to both sides to put their weapons down. I don’t recall the last time anyone even mention the Israeli hostages, putting any pressure on Hamas to do the one thing that would definitely appease the Israelis. In the same breathe, Israel needs to be further pressured to stop being so trigger happy and lay off of it. \n\nI can only hope, I guess. In the meantime i should really refrain from ranting on YouTube.

I may receive a lot of criticism for my opinion, but I feel compelled to share my experience as a resident and worker in this country. I immigrated to Canada from Ukraine in 2022 and have since been living and working in Winnipeg. This country has offered me numerous opportunities, even though I do not hold high-ranking positions. My wife and I are able to save a bit of money for unforeseen expenses. Just when I started to feel settled and thought that things were going quite well, I encountered numerous videos claiming the opposite, particularly highlighting the scarcity of affordable housing. \n \nDespite the prevalence of such content, my personal experience differs. I pay $725 for housing with a salary of $2.3K, which I find to be a reasonable balance. Some might say I was fortunate, but affordable housing ranging from $800 to $1000 is readily available in Winnipeg, and this is just one city's example; there are many other cities across Canada. \nFrom my perspective, the issue of housing affordability is overstated and not solely attributable to the country's policies. Such scenarios can occur in any nation if half the population desires to reside within 4% of its land area (namely, Toronto and its vicinity), leading inevitably to soaring prices – that's simply economics. \n \nIt's not my place to dictate how Canadians should live, but it appears to me that the crux of the problem lies in the uneven distribution of the population. As the second-largest country globally, Canada can comfortably accommodate 40 million people or even significantly more. However, this necessitates a collective understanding that concentrating the population in a single city may not be the most prudent approach.
