Since my childhood to being as grown up man in the mid life, Canada is still under the shadow of USA.\n\nTwo things:\nCanada still empty after decades of issuing immigration visas.\nThis video is also a reflection to prove Canada is better than US, but people don't buy this from many years.\n\nI don't agree on education cost, in US there 100s of options to get enrolled in economical schools and to have on campus jobs, which is the way of paying tuition fees. \nA point on weather and living conditions in winter should have been discussed, this is the reason people leave Canada for dealing such a cold.\n\nNice video.

Nothing is the way it was years ago ,Today our society has changed , Certain things that were accepted years ago are no longer accepted in todays society .Its new Governments and new Generations of people that think differently than the ones in the past .Things are different ,Besides that, you cant blame people of today for things that happened in the past by people the generations of today didnt even know. That isnt in any way even fathomable. But if there is hate floating around Canada for some ,maybe the hate isnt for the race of the people, but for the individual and their behavior towards others. When someone is angry at someone else for whatever reason and they know nothing about that person ,BUT,they feel they need some form of revenge They call names in anger of what little they see or do know about that person ,Usually its just appearance ,race, nationality. I would like to add that same happened to me in my father's case who passed away. The officer was hostile for no good reason, not once but twice. I am still trying to get any information from them. He openly threatened me that he will not provide me with any information and that he is the only point of contact to get information. Why? I still struggle to understand. If they can abuse their power to hold death over someone, why not right? Like the lady, I had provided extensive documentation still threats. He accused me of random things, spoke in a very condescending tone from hello. He was extremely upset about me calling from USA for whatever reason. I fail to understand where is humanity.

If someone get medical request for Canada Tourist Visa and stay is only for one month. What is the reason????

I get it this is a issue of religious sensitivity. I’m from Canada and we cannot open carry knives or firearms it’s against the law, even pepper spray is illegal. In the USA the law differs from state to state and schools and universities have their own policies. Usually you can get permission to carry a kripan in school if the blade is not sharp and it’s hidden under clothing. Schools are always understanding and allow it. Sikh or not, religious reason or not, if you openly carry a knife strapped to your chest to a crowded university like the guy in the video did some one is going to call the cops on you. Have some common sense. Yes, religion is a right but it also comes with responsibility.

I know that the actions seen out here in the video is kind of an extrem, but I believe whatever measures were taken it was for the welfare of keeping everybody safe in which my Sikh brother had no bad intentions but it was all an honest mistake.  According to my understanding he could've worn the Kripan under his T-shirt.. no disrespect to nobody but I'm here with all my Love and Respect to all.. \nAnd He being out of India.. people might have heard or know about Sikhism but respectively being in a totally different country it'll be a cultural shock to some of its fellow country's residents and that too he is in an educational environment or zone where a lot of unfortunate events had occur in the past few years due to violence.. so taking these reasons and unfortunate incidents under consideration.. our dear Sikh brother did not do anything wrong in openly carrying a Kripan (knife) for it is his cultural right and had gone some kind of a rituals in order to carry a Kripan for self-defense. But people will still feel some kind of uneasiness when it comes to weapons seen in and around educational area or zones. \nSo whatever measures had been taken for the safty of all.. especially by the security as he was doing his job by understanding the situation. No heard feeling to nobody but I just wanted to get my point across regarding this incident. N I know my Sikh brothers n sisters will definitely come to an agreement of understanding in what I'm trying to say..

Okay people, correct me if I'm wrong. Though arresting him is an extreme step, I just think it's not necessary to wear a Kirapani to uni. If it is an cultural event, then you can make a point about the police and uni bieng insensetive. But I see no reason to wear one in a normal day. I dont get the reasons that are not the Taxes/High cost of living/Healthcare\n\nEverything else is really just subjective, weather, lifestyle and homesickness are things I've never had an issue with, this is subjective to where you live in Canada as well. I love that I have hot summers and cold winters, its the best of both worlds. I was raised here by immigrant parents so maybe this is an issue they've had but I grew up in a extremely multicultural area in Toronto, I experienced my culture much more than the Canadian Culture and others as well.\n\nIn my opinion, while Canada isn't perfect now, it will only get better in the future. As long as people don't abandon the Country and the government doesn't abandon its Citizens than I have high hopes for Canada. the health care part you mentioned is wrong. It's on a urgent need basis. If you need the help you will get it. If it's a broken bone that isn't life threatening then yes, you will wait.The healthcare being free isn't the reason its understaffed. It's because despite the taxes we pay the governments keep cutting and allocating less and less money to our health care system, instead opting to spend it other places, please your over simplification of things is very mis leading

After reading the comments it's funny how people still thinks where you are born or your country origin is home. Imagine thinking that's the definition of home to begin with, sometimes I Just shake my head when I see people using such content to define home. Home dosen't necessarily have to be your country origin or whatsoever. This is such bullshit. nothing you say makes sense . All countries have the ups and downs . There's no reason why you can't save money in Canada maybe you should read the book The Wealthy Barber and you should learn more about money. I am near retirement and it is such a treat not to have to worry about paying for anything and having a guaranteed income when I re— . What you doing have is your private insurance company denying you coverage and you have to refer to them every time when you need a particular blood test done. I can have my patients have MRIs or CT scans within 2 days if they need is there a giant . What you need is Doctor Patient Advocates. It hit me hard that I loved the idea. But the next day, I took a very deep thought about the grass always seeming greener at the other side. I noticed here in Qatar life is not what I had anticipated, why now risk of going to Canada with the same hopes of a better life and pay? I discussed it with my wife back home (Uganda) and told her I would rather stay in Qatar and focus then go back home as my children need me more than they need the money I think I will get. Very good video. I am an Australian citizen, and I share your views. Also I want to add another reason why I prefer Canada than Australia. Being originally from Peru, I currently live in Peru, my wife is also Peruvian and a baby with 5 month at the time of writing, however there is no family reunion visa to take my whole family (only my baby who will hold Australian citizenship but not my wife) so I cannot take them both, because migrations force my wife to apply to the Partner Visa, that cost AU$7850 (US$5,600) plus agent fees, documents, ticket price, and other cost. Also the waiting period is about 24 to 28 months. So if I return to Australia, I first need to find a job, then save the $5,600, send and amount of money to Peru during my absence, then wait about 2 years and spend about $10,000 to $15,000 extra to bring my family to Australia. The cost of waiting carries a lot of anxiety, health issued due to the uncertainty and may damage my marriage, And if I get to my wife a Visitor visa, she is not allowed to work and study, and I must pay private insurance, and for experience, private insurance policies and gap costs are very high. Of course visiting my family every 6 months is costly and timely prohibited, an economic flight from Australia to Peru costs about US$2,500 and takes about 1 day or 38 hours, add also the jet lag and day difference.\nIn contrast, Canada allows me to take my whole family in just 3 months, my wife can get a working visa, and if we decided to reunite in 6 o 9 month, I can go to Peru every long weekend to visit my family, a flight from Toronto to Lima is about $500 return and only 8 hours so I can go to Peru and come back to Canada in a long weeked, a luxury imposible to do if I lived in Australia. \nWhen my father passed away here in Lima, I was in Australia at university, and due to cost and time, I couldn't go to give him a farewell and to his funeral, a issue that regretted; for that reason, my mother-in-law, who needs care and being my wife, her only child, after facing my own experience, we decided that Canada and not Australia, is a better choice, if something happens with my in-law, from Canada my wife can see her quickly.\nThank you for sharing in this video

Interesting points, I’ve had friends leave but they always preserve their citizen status just in case they get sick. Health care is so expensive for example in the US that people lose their homes to pay for surgeries and medications like insulin. So its definitely valuable to be Canadian if just for health cost reasons. Have the people that you know that have left Canada renounced their Canadian citizenship?

There's an old say from my country that goes: the cat whose belly is full, always find the tail of the mouse taste bitter. So the immigrant, like a hungry cat, comes to Canada for food( opportunities) and once his belly is full, he then starts complaining of the taste of the food. You ladies just named every single reason why an opportunist can't stay in one place. I live, as an immigrant in the US, and Im a physician, and I can tell you while the Canadian health system is flawed it is far better than the US. Your 8 hrs+ waiting in the ER is literally a standard waiting time...so please be PATIENT! ( just getting a little sarcastic here, i know it sucks!) 35 to 40% of my money go the government ( although i feel they take 50%) and life is not that cheap ( a lot of Physicians leave expensive places like NY because they can't afford them anymore! ) have you heard of HOMELESS workers in LA? ( some have 2 jobs but still can't afford an apartment and live in their cars ) things are hard everywhere, especially if you are an immigrant living in one of the coldest place in the world (btw nobody called you, that was your choice, so suck it up!) I hope one day, while Im still young, I can go back home to work for my people, and not when I retire and tired to have my people work for me, how selfish and opportunistic is that mentality! The same in Uk, the cost of living in London and London living wages is no where reasonable compared. You’ll have to move outside London or living in share accommodation to be able to safe to get on property ladder.

I listened to your chat. I did not appreciate some of your reasons for why people leave Canada. First of all life is what you make it. There are lots of things to do if you are interested in being active. Canada is a very beautiful country and there are lots of places to visit and enjoy. \nYou need to educate yourself about what people are paid in the US and Canada. The minimum wage is a lot higher in Canada. I suggest that you leave Canada and then you will appreciate what a wonderful country we live in. Go to Trinidad for example and buy groceries ...pay over a thousand dollars a week for food, then tell me that food is too expensive in Canada. (25.00 for a box of cereal)!Go to a hospital there and you will wait for a whole day just to be seen. Yes, we have a shortage of medical doctors and nurses here, but they are trying to fix that. Sure we pay taxes, but if you or someone in your family needs a heart transplant, a knee replacement or whatever, you will get it FREE in the hospital, and while you are in the hospital, your bed will have sheets and pillow cases. Drive your car on the roads in Trinidad and the potholes will ruin your tires, not to mention the frame of the car. Your taxes also maintains parks, roads and bridges for the safety and enjoyment of everyone. The government has no control over the weather, so complaining that it is too cold or rainy is up to mother nature. During the lockdown I am sure you received money from the government to help you, everyone did. Do you think other countries paid their people money to help them get through this crisis?? NO!\nI love Canada, it has been good to me and I never regretted emigrating here 42 years ago. I go traveling to other countries and I see how other people live and I am happy to come home. Appreciate what you have or if you are so unhappy, use the passport that you said is so powerful.

I don't know exactly where you live. Like every big country, they is more boring and less boring States. Many of the same reasons would also apply to the US. I think getting your citizenship/passport is important so you have the option to return if you decide to leave. I lived in Canada but currently reside in Florida. I don't miss the long winters but I like the summers there. I think the crime rate and health care costs are a big plus in Canada. We have Miami beach but frequent shootings there have kept me away. So it boils down to an individuals choice.??

First of all I'm guessing you are in Toronto or Vancouver or Calgary maybe Montreal, The most expensive places in Canada to Live for sure. I live in Manitoba where the cost of living is pretty close to the cheapest in Canada. Yes minimum wage is $11.95 and apparently going up shortly. Canadians don't pay much more than Americans in taxes. Infact, the taxes for rich Americans is higher than for equivalent incomes in Canada. However, Canadians get much more from their government than Americans. I think the reason why Nigerians complain in Canada is because the initial process of getting documents and setting down is too easy in Canada, so when they settle down to work and realize that they actually have to work hard to pay for the goodies, they begin to complain

It's worse in the US especially for middle income earners. They are taxed over 30 percent and still paying for their health insurance which is expensive. The immigrants crossing the borders are getting free food, free Healthcare, free housing and free phones. Hence the reason why they are coming in large numbers. At some point, this country will collapse.

I have to respectfully disagree with you girls on the tax system in Canada. You mention that you cannot be a millionaire or a billionaire. \n\nI really think that is the problem with our generation, excessive greed, everyone wants to be a millionaire/billionaire, but the reality is most of people in this world will only live an average middle class life or below, that has been the case throughout history in every country on earth. \n\nInstead of wanting to be a millionaire you should strive follow your passion and to master your craft, and if and when you do so, the end result maybe you achieving millionaire billionaire status \n\nThis how most rich people got their wealth, they worked at their craft and had passion and eventually they got the wealth that came along with it \n\nI agree with Canada's progressive tax system, the only problems we have run into since 2010 is that the government has been misallocating taxes collected and giving co-operate tax breaks. Free healthcare is not free we Canadians have to pay for it and that is one of the reasons why our tax is so high and having this kind of healthcare means it will take you a long time to get treatments done and we have to wait a long time to see a doctor where places like the USA you have to have insurance or pay cash but you get it done quick and don't have to live with pain for a long time but if you are in need of emergency issues right away they will get you in as soon as they can but for non life threatening issues prepare to wait a long time.

I couldn't agree with you more. Canada has become another one of those mindless Totalitarian states like American China, Russia, etc., etc. I spent 10 years in China working as a teacher. I went there because I was fed up in my country and when I returned it was worse than when I left. As I am now 68, if I can afford to leave again I will and I'll never return again. I told the Chinese who knew me I was returning because I missed the land, but I never really missed the people. Now that I'm back, since Jan. 2022, I want to leave again and I will and Never return. Health care in this country is in the Sh*t-house, it's impossible to get a family Dr. In part I returned for medical reasons, but now would rather die than have to deal the the Canadian medical bureaucracy - REALLY !!! This is the reality we face after the excitement of moving to Canada fades off. The worst for me is the fact that you get this 'big job' that pays well and after it all, govt has a way of redistributing it. It's really frustrating and it discourages some people for looking for higher paying jobs bcos at the end, govt still takes it. My wife, my 3 kids and I used to like Vancouver but not anymore!!! The weather is why we plan to leave for good but also the expensive rents! I also heard about horror stories at many hospitals (and yes, I have worked in Africa and to be honest, Africans hospitals are way more functional than the ones in Canada in terms of human aspect… there they care, Canadians do not give a shit about anyone!!! And I am saying this as a Belgian!!! I have some African colleagues at work here and at least 80 percent of them either want to go back to Africa (one is actually going to start an Afro business there and build his own house) or move to Europe (one of them plans to live to my homeland Belgium and two others in France as apparent the pensions there are way better than the Canadian one) as soon as they get enough experience in canada! None of us at work , including me, want to retire or get old here in Canada! For me personally, it is the Canadian extreme loneliness and lack of willingness to open to others that really shuts me down… I am fed up and and tired of paying taxes in a country where some (not all) hospitals and some retirement homes treat patients like … objects, not human beings! I was born in South Asia, studied and worked in uk for 5 years. Immigrated to canada and stayed for 8 years and am currently in Hong Kong for some family reasons over the last two years in covid. What I can tell is there is no place like canada in the whole world. It’s heaven on earth. I get it that you can earn a lot of money outside canada , but you cannot get peace of mind and tranquility as you would het in canada. I miss canada every day and would be going back soon.

Being someone that has travelled the world there is no country better then another but.... The cost of living and stuff in Canada yes it's high but we are in a recession ? the housing market has changed jn the past 10 years... It's hard for anyone not just immigrants.. The thing about having experience in a country and not being able to transfer it, there's a reason for that there are plenty of country's that have alot. Of corruption most places u can get fake degrees by paying enough money ;) Indonesia is a big one and we have alot of immigrants coming from there... Imo ca t really blame. Canada for. I love Quebec, its history, its culture, its language, its way of life and Quebecers in general. I get used to its climate, its six months or so of winter, but still with nice, hot summers. I also put up with the high cost of living due to the multiple taxes to be paid, the highest in North America, which means that, paradoxically, it still costs less to live here than elsewhere in Canada and to the social safety net Quebecers benefit and which is the envy of many citizens elsewhere in the country. The shadow on the board: the hostility and racism of English Canada, including most Anglophones in Quebec and the allophones who join this recalcitrant community towards Quebec and Francophones in general, the ambient wokism, the complacency of the mayor of Montreal, Valérie Plante, who has transformed the city into a huge bike path, Justin Trudeau's hypocrisy regarding Quebec legislation for the protection of language and secularism, which he intends to challenge before the Supreme Court of the country . Spot on with everything. I always rant to my friends about all of this. I’m moving to Europe from Toronto. I have a few options thanks to my work but still trying to decide which country. I guess theres a reason most Europeans don't immigrant to Canada anymore compared 2nd/3rd world countries. \n \nLifestyle, food quality, work culture etc. I love F1, soccer and European history, so thats always a treat while im there. I can’t see myself getting married and raising a family in Canada. Europe is beautiful and the center of the best of everything. \n \nCovid also exposed how corrupt the government is here as-well as the media. But people In Canada obey and love it. \n \nI'm thankful for the education and childhood I had in Canada but its time to move on.

I agree with you esp the first two reasons. Im an immigrant from the Philippines.. have been living here for over 13 yrs and i am DONE. I hate how i can ONLY get my life for the 2 months of the year.. i am not a big fan if the cold. No matter how much clothes I wear during the cold dreary months, i am freezing. Plus it’s soo repetitive here. Living in the lower mainland, you do the same things over and over. Beach, lakes, park. ? they get boooring after years.

Ok. I think the 1st reason says it all. You were not happy.\nI moved to Canada (Montreal and then Toronto) from Spain (Barcelona) and it has been nothing but positive for me. I could drive earlier, studies were so much more practical, I had asthma and it went away (lot less air pollution), jobs were better, bigger houses, less people. Don’t get me wrong, Europe is great but I love Canada as well.
