I am a double hater cant stand Trump and I am a farmer, i dont use immigrants because i just grow crops that can be mechanically harvested and I have a small farm, But in the past I used to manage large farms where we had a lot of immigrants most were illegal and people don't understand why they're illegal It's because there is an arbitrary cap on how many migrants can come from Guatemala and Mexico if they wanted to come legally just a normal worker They have a 60-year waiting list so it's just impossible to come here legally. Most of these people are very hardworking good people that come here to work for 5 to 7 years save up money and then go back to Mexico or Guatemala build a house and start a business in their own country. \n\nThis year i begrudgingly voted for trump because for me the biggest issue is with the federal and state regulations that make farming much harder than it needs to be especially regulations on diesel engine emissions that cost me tens of thousands of dollars a year and many months of not being able to use my equipment that I spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on. And Kamala was the one who enforced the CARB emmisions standards that diesel engine manufactures have to comply with to sell into California which is the biggest consumer of these engines. \n\nLike right now I have my pickup truck that's been down for 6 months because of emissions problems and so many of the vehicles have emissions problems that the parts to fix it don't even have an ETA because they need to fix so many trucks and I have two other tractors broke down that I can't use all my friends that are farmers have a lot more and dems want to significantly increase emmisions standards in 2026. \n\nYou simply can't grow food at scale without reliable diesel engines There is no alternative The vast majority of food is planted and harvested mechanically in the US The bigger issue with food is not well illegals get deported It is will the diesel engines run to harvest 90% of the calories in plant them. \n\nWe have robots that can milk the cows most of the things that migrants harvest can be harvested mechanically and they are in other parts of the world It's just cheaper to do it with labor once that's not the case it will be mechanized. I would prefer to keep migrants here but give them legal working status if they have productive jobs and they pay tax.

It literally takes YEARS, DECADES for so many people to even get citizenship. But this lady is okay deciding the lives of other people because for her, getting her citizenship was easy. First this would be very costly. It takes money away from citizens that could use the monetary application like the homeless. Next, working illegals pay into social security that they will never use. How will those funds be replaced? And finally, many illegals are well known to be cheap labor for farmers and AG related businesses. Removing them drives up food costs because US citizens will need higher wages or US citizens will not work those jobs and create food shortages. Undocumented workers paid 96 billion dollars into Social Security and Medicare through the INT. They are not eligible to collect from those programs but there work help sustains them. They do work Americans do not want to do. Hotels hire them, farmers hire them, meat packing plants hire them, construction companies hire them. Removing them will be a disaster. Immigrants, both documented and undocumented, commit crimes at a lower rate than natural-born US citizens. That is a statistically proven fact, and it makes sense considering that if we speed, we could get a ticket. If they speed, they might get deported. That's a fine to pay versus a potential death sentence... most people who immigrate here are trying to escape the very things they get accused of doing. Look, I'm not saying that people coming in illegally is a good thing, that every one of them has good intentions, or that border security is acceptable as it is. This woman is right. We need people who are willing to sacrifice their time and their old citizenship to become Americans. She sacrificed a great deal to become a true American citizen. I do not want to be a citizen of another country although I have spent time as a guest worker LEGALLYin other countries. I was not allowed to take jobs in those countries (Japan and Germany) that native workers had the right to take. I was not given benefits or a right to vote. I had a passport which I was required to carry at all times because as a foreign worker I could be stopped and questioned about my legal status. My passport showed my working status in country with the appropriate stamp. I accepted these restrictions as part of my working conditions. I wanted to keep my own citizenship as an American although I could have worked to obtain the fluency level required and the citizenship understanding of law and legal procedures to become a citizen. It would have taken time and waiting for an application to clear. That is what it would have required but I wanted to be an American. I did not renounce my citizenship lightly…nor should anyone without work and thoughtful consideration of what it is to BE a member of that country.
