I was denied the ability to serve or even be in the reserves because of my ulcerative colitis and monthly transfusions. if you’re pre-transition, you don’t belong in our military any more than I do

My concern is many of the problems we have today is not coming from those who conform but from those who wants to flip things over. I think the trans issue has a lot of complications that really don't need to play out in the military. I accept the body God gave me and I can't imagine what people go through who can't. It's concerning though that while they're fighting their internal fights it may project on to others. Just because this one man didn't doesnt mean everyone is like him. Should be a case by case basis and not a blanket policy.

Trans soldiers means weak military

I hate Trump and everything he stands for but transgenders serving openly are contrary to the principle of good order and discipline. No matter what people think transgenders are not respected by their subordinates and there has to be respect to be an effective leader. In this man's case he flies as a crew of 1 and possibly 2 so he doesn't require respect from his subordinates but a frontline combat officer leading a company would get zero respect and would probably get fragged. The standards have to be the same across all branches and all jobs and that's not possible. The military is mostly populated with southern and mid western men and they will never accept this so as a veteran I support this move to ban them. I would also like to see the standards restored in regards to fat heterosexuals too. There's nothing that says lack of discipline like a fat soldier whose buttons on his BDU shirt are about to pop and they can't see their toes.

It sounds to me he’s still in service. Where’s the problem here? Is this an assumption that he will no longer be able to serve? \n\nThe military counts are down because the prev administration wrongfully terminated these soldiers for refusing to take “the”vaccines. Citizens are not motivated to sign up because of all the crazy woke policies the military were enforcing. And many men and women with their beliefs are scrutinized, ignored and are forced to accommodate the entitlement granted to these group of people while everyone else’s are disregarded.

the fact is that those who transition have to take hormonal treatments for the rest of their life. regardless of the qualities someone who is trans may have placing them in military units create problems. in addition there is the fact that transitioning may have other long term health effects that would raise the cost of medical benefits for our soldiers and veterans. this is not the simple issue of discrimination based on sexual identity that CNN wants to portray it as. whether we have a tax based economy or a tariff economy in the future up until now it is the American taxpayer that has had to fund military expenses including health care for our soldiers and veterans.

The mental and physical health of our military troops - especially its leadership - must be a top priority of The United States of America's military.

how many trans in the military are there really? What surgeries does he had? Just fake boobs but kept his male organ? Because if he did got castrated that is a lot of ongoing medical treatments. Fake boobs need monitoring too and they have to be replaced after 10 years.

As a retired Marine, we do not need transgender's in the military. He is a NOT a she, regardless of what it says. Don't ask, Don't tell was bad enough, but it worked because this type of immoral behavior wasn't blatant as it is now in our military. There are 2 sexes or genders just as GOD made them. They join the military thinking they will get free surgery. If you believe you re something different, it is perversion and nothing else.
