I am a Jamaican Canadian 42 year resident of Canada. I agree with your perspective 99.9%. Keep up the good work. Social integration requires fast track educational courses that stresses the importance of savvy customer relation procedures, gestures and practices. They must see it as not imposing but the norm in accommodating diversity in a multicultural city. Once they perceive the integrality and its inextricable component in smoothly assimilating, they will see the inevitable need to compartmentalize as this helps them to fit into their new welcoming family. Be reminded, in Canada, out of many, one family.

This is a very good thing. Many Canadian youth cannot afford to go to school, they should have the first opportunity.

There is a reason for this, even though I think doors should be open to anyone that wants to become canadians.\nThe reason being there is not enough housing. And that is throughout Canada. There is a lack even for people who already live here.\nThey took too many immigrants compare to many other countries. But the provinces did not put money on housing for many years. The same with schools and not enough teachers.

yes canada is not racist and no one can make such generalization. however it is clear by many comments that racism clearly exists. international students are not just from india. they are from many countries. many come from nigeria also but rebel news or harrison and others would not say one word against anyone who is black. if all these people were from uk or europe then would this even be an issue to anyone? be honest. i am not taking sides. i been in canada for 40 years and my loyalty is to canada and for sure i would say there was lot of racism when i came in 1988. from grade 6 to 9 life was terrible here. things changed over time and my kids have not experienced racism for most of there life here but now i am seeing the bullies type that i faced are returning more and more especially online. rebel news and harrison (forgot his last name) are motivating such people. i had 2 racism incident in last few months. majority of indians are not trouble makers and are amongst the richest community in all of canada with the lowest crimes. many indian doctors, nurses, IT sector, engineers etc... now where does the problem lie. it is with poor immigration policies which lowered its standards. the requirements has to be raised higher and highly educated bunch is who we should bring in. many people from punjab india are involved in crimes and drugs and these are the people involved in the separatist movement and jagmeet and justin brought them in for votes. they need to go and so do those who are not loyal to canada. those of you who are racist i can give you a history lesson of the kkk or the crusaders but i know too many good people who i rather not group with you. in fact there is no need to go that route. you can never get rid of all blacks or indians out of canada. we have a history and we have every right to feel canadian as we obey and contribute to the economy and abide the law so f-off.

Glad this is happening! First, because the govt. should put their citizens & their heritage as top priority. Secondly, because permit to study doesn’t mean permit to permanently settle down. Don’t use words like racism during protests. That’s not racism. Canadians are much more tolerant as compared to places where many of us come from - places that are pure classists, casteists & extremists! Yes, this exists in 21st century. Finally, there is no deeper philosophy involved - learn to respect & assimilate in a new country. Work hard. Follow the rules. I mean these days I am seeing people failing to follow basic civic sense & social manners. This is creating a problem for the entire community. We clearly don’t want this to happen to the real hardworking and sensible ones!!!!

Canadian multiculturalism has changed. It used to be you came here and became a Canadian... While still bringing in bits from where you came from. Now it's they come here and complain about Canada while bringing their whole package of where they came from for us to accept. I'm tierd of people assuming white Canadians are racist for feeling uncomfortable when their cities are being over populated with non English speaking people (and by the way... They have no insentive to integrate. Immigration 60 years ago was Europeans coming in... I remember my grandmother talking about how the Italians and Portuguese and Germans were coming over in large numbers and it was a shock to the system... But they at least learned the language and integrated. Why are we condeming Canadians for not wanting cultures today from coming here and putting their foreign culture above Canadian culture. Besides higher English requirements, Canada ?? also needs to check for national security risks.\n- Many Chinese students don't come to Canada to study,\nbut to grab Canadian intellectual properties and \nto *launder corrupt money by buying up big houses.*

Isn't this CLEAR EVIDENCE that a significant number of international students only come for work and immigration and not for education? I'm not saying they are doing anything wrong; people will do whatever based on the incentives available to them. Work and an eventual Canadian passport are just too good a deal to pass up for many international students.

Personally I don’t care if they have problems. They can take pay cuts or shut down if the business model doesn’t work. We can’t let these institutions damage communities by flooding them with people that they can’t house and are taking housing from working Canadians. These are the people the universities depend on to keep the lights on, the water flowing, the streets cleared and many many other things. Price them out of the housing market and they will go elsewhere and when the university needs a tradesman they won’t be able to get one. With the lights out and the pipes plugged the place won’t appeal to any students and they will go home.

Sounds like post secondary education and the Canadian citizens are finally reaping what they’ve sowed. For a generation and government who love to apologize for the past, they have committed so many of the same crimes it’s laughable. The weak, breed weakness.

The Fifth Estate had a great piece on what is actually going on in India and how this people are being scammed. They think that they're talking to a recruiter for a college, when in reality, it's a travel agency. It's sick how Canadian colleges have exploited the weaknesses in the system, and the government has allowed this to happen for so long. And now, after 9 years of Trudeau, the Liberals and the NDPs are back peddling trying to repair the bridges that the helped build and break. They gave the impression that I or any other who had a concern with immigration might be possibly racist or xenophobic. Our government weaponized words to shut our voices down. No immigrant, especially those in India, should be scammed to such an extent that they are living in a country they've never been to before that is bleeding them dry. Our government wants to conceal the reality of what's going on in Canada from the rest of the world, because they want this to keep happening. High cost of living. High cost of food. No incentive to start a family. This policy making is destroying so much Canada to offer to so many.

Thank you for sharing the truth on our immigration crisis and issues related to the foreign students. Government should not have allowed to bring spouses and their children to Canada while they are on foreign students visa. No other countries allowed this. This created a crisis in rental industry. They started draining our resources such as rental, school, healthcare…etc. no student should be allowed to work in any of the industries. They are taking away Canadian citizens jobs. In last 2 years I have spoken with many Canadian students and they are unable to find summer employment. This has to be stopped. Wake up Canadian politicians and government.

Reason is because Government bringing sooo many Indian students nonstop compared to other countries the job market is saturated with Indians working in every Tim hortons not other races. They dont know English and very poor customer service. So naturally Canadians hate this situation. Government has to stop bringing vast Indian population to this country.

Im a first generation indo canadian ,and our government has let in too many immigrants into canada .for me as a small construction business owner it is getting harder for me to get more local jobs due to immigrants starting up their own construction companies and then charging next to nothing for the jobs they do.and when they mess the job up and don’t have the funds to fix their mistake due to their low prices,they either do a shitty job or walk off the job.

I have always made friends since childhood with people from other countries or background. I just have seen so much changes with small local businesses having a complete change over and I wonder where all the staff that worked their for so long are all gone, and it's now all Indians. I truly do respect and made good friends, it's just so many Indians compared to anyone coming from other countries as well, and there should have been a limit as Canada just doesn't have enough housing, as the population was always low. And yes I do understand that India has a mega population! There are some cute Indian women that I have met, but their parents want nothing to do with a white Canadian

As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!

Actually, the problem of too many international students and job competition can be solved easily, as long as the Canadian government has the courage to stipulate: International students are not allowed to work during the academic term, except during holidays. Canada would immediately solve this trouble.

I accept your message as a positive effort, but take exception that you are ambassadors for India. That is my main concern: many immigrants are not just keeping their old culture but forcing it on native Canadians of all descent. \nFor refugees, it absolutely boggles my mind why you might want to recreate the very situations that you are fleeing from. \nFor Indians specifically, I’ve noticed a tendency to hire only other Indians, excluding Canada from Canadians and I don’t appreciate it. If people from Mexico stop coming to work for Canadian farmers during harvest time, no one will want to work for such low wages as they do. This means farmers would have to pay more to local workers, which raises two questions: Can farmers afford to pay more to local workers, and are you prepared for food prices to rise even higher?\nSo why doesn't Rebel News focus on all the 'refugees' who enter Canada, don't work, and receive various types of financial support? Surprise, surprise! How many fuc…. Indians do you allow to move to Canada and filter into the US, before you realize, there are 1.6 BN of them, enough to make real Canadians a minority in their own country. The US will soon crack down on the hordes who take advantage of Canada’s completely loose and ridiculous immigration policy, to use Canada as a spring board into the US, their real first choice, to make money, and eventually bring more Indians as soon as they can. Liberals sold Canada to the Chinese, and the Indians or any other immigrant with a bag of money. How desperate was the Government for more revenue, after they take the lions share of working Canadians, but over spend more. Crazy, that they need more money for Immigrant freebies, and beneficial programs, while they tell taxpayers, immigration is a solution for their constant shortfalls.

This is an honest video and I like that. I moved to Canada in 2010 and I moved back to Europe in 2021, so I am a Canadian immigrant and citizen now. I personally don't blame the Indians, I worked with people from India and I love a good tikka masala. Only Trudeau is to blame in Canada. But in India there are people who scam your Indian students, telling them they could go study in Canada and then become citizens and this is why now Indian students are protesting, because they realize they have been lied in India. So Canada is not to blame for this incident. Students must understand - they come to another country just to study, then go back home. And everybody must understand - when you move to another country, you must learn the new country culture. The Canadians must not adapt to the Indian culture, the Indians must adapt to the Canadian culture. I remember when we came to Canada they told us that if we do a crime, we would be deported back to our country. And now so many people do crimes and nothing happens. This is wrong. My point is - the main blame goes for the government, but some blame goes for the new Indian migrants too.

It’s sad how many foreign workers are taking all the restaurant, security, engineering and gas station/convenience store jobs. It’s annoying to be at Wendy’s, BK, McDonalds, A&W or a gas bar/convenience store and see a group of friends/foreign workers working behind the desk, then all of a sudden change their work jacket from (for example) Wendy’s to a Skip the Dish sweater and deliver the food they just made. That tells me the system is failing or people are getting paid cash under the table. It’s time for these big companies and the government to step in and stop this. There is multiple examples in my smaller city in a daily basis so I can just imagine how often this happens in bigger cities. Mean while local Canadian born and raised people and their kids can’t get jobs. Stop subsidizing these foreign workers at the very least or donor to all of us. That would put a stop to at least have of it.
