Well, I am leaving, yes. Although I am very grateful with Germany, I work in IT, and I don't hold a diploma, but I have more than 20 years of experience in the field, I always been offered jobs beneath my experience, only because of a paper. I am Italian and was very enthusiastic when I arrive 4 years ago, but the way I was treated was mostly bad, that led me not wanting to study the language anymore, people were so agressive in the streets. When I needed the back of the justice, it was never on my favour, even when I was right, as I was hit in the street by a stranger who made my face bleed, police said that it was nothing and that it was the opposite, even when they had evidence. I was mistreated at a hospital in Schwabing, München and medical attention was refused, police didn't help and they requested my to litereally scream for help, and I did because I was bleeding on a place I didn't know, with -4 degrees, without any jacket. I even tried with the discrimination line, which doesn't work, and if you write them an Email, they will say they cannot help. I Will never understand that level of cruelty, not to mention 5000 Euros I had to pay for a ticket, because I suppousedly scratch the car of a person and because my Kaution was never returned, tried, but never got a lawyer, because you need to pay for the air you breathe in this country. ARD, what is that? You pay for the right of internet, and you pay internet as well, the desorganization with the states is massive, and often times, you will get a letter in your box post having to pay somehting else. My energy and money was completely drained. I just had it. Despite of everything, this country tought me great things, like discpline and hard work which I really appreciate and will take this knowledge...somewhere else. I also became better human being as a result of being exposed to all of the bad things. But I am isolated case, not everyone goes through these things, I did, and to me it was more than enough to wanting to Auf Wiedersehen. Unfortunaly Germany prefers to keep people who did not come to the country to add something, crazy as it seems, they would allow more people who rape, do not respect their culture and commit other crimes, instead of really welcoming people who came here to have a better life. Germany is currently too focused on other countries problems and failed on attending the needs of their citizens and the citizens who came to live here, including europeans, as myself. I truly believe that Germany is a beautiful country, München is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen, and has astonishing landscapes and vibrant nature. But...

This rant is just that...a rant. All the complainers on this video that have come out are right wing trolls bent on trying to shape Canadian's minds to get the Conservative Party in power.

Unfortunately the EU has to turn a blind eye to it because we all know these human rights laws will lead to the collapse of Europe as we get flooded by foreigners who if they had the chance would destroy our societies as they have done to their own.

For me a Québécois, we missed the boat in 1995. Too bad if you don’t like it but we got screwed by newly arrived immigrants back then and we are being drowned by immigrants now. The difference is that you too in the ROC are being drowned. I am a Quebec nationalist, it’s in my guts. My family has roots going back to New France. Canada has always been an imposition for us just as we to the First Nations I guess. That’s unfortunately neither here nor there at this point in history and I apologize for it. I could blame the Trudeau government but any government in Canada would do the same for neoliberal/conservative ideological reasons. We have a neoconservative government right now in Quebec. They have practically killed our nation from the inside in order to discredit the social democratic and socialist tendencies that did so much to develop this nation. These are the ones who would literally step on their grandmothers neck to attain higher status in life. Since for me this place is where I feel the most a part of and have understood long ago that the ROC had done everything to negate us as a people a nation and the dream of an independent country with close ties to the ROC is and probably never was in the cards, I have started hoping for some kind of political union with mother France since it has become painfully clear that Canada as a strong bicultural self respecting truly independent country is a bygone notion. Just look at our military, it’s a monumental farce. Look at the insane levels of immigration, we cannot support this!! PERIOD!!! Look at way we genuflect to the US’s economic visions without questioning anymore. The Quebec people are a nation, Canada unfortunately is only a notion. For me getting out of Canada is also a reality except since this place never was one of a cash cow there only to send funds to some family elsewhere I believe we Québécois and Québécoise, with the respect for the First Nations that we have always owed them, need to go our way. So leave Canada, in fact there are too many of you already. We are not the US, we cannot afford the social chaos of savage predatory capitalism. What is bringing this confederation down is exactly that. Wanting to cram Canada, all its constituent parts into an Merican hole. No matter the price. Goodbye Canada you hardly wanted to know us.

As much as I could make more money by living in the States no amount of money could make the anxiety of potential school shootings worth it. I know my kids have essentially 0% chance of that in Canada. Also getting cancer won't ruin me and my whole extended family financially. It's a mixed bag, I love aspects of both country and right now the affordability crisis here is awful but with the Liberals out of the way we'll bounce back. I would love to see a Conservatives + NDP + Green Party coalition, let conservatives run economic development, NDP the social programs and Green party be the climate watchdogs.

I came back to Canada in 2022 after 20 years living abroad, and it's been a mixed bag. Getting a good job is extremely difficult as international experience is rarely factored into potential employers decisions to hire - even if the companies you've worked for are Fortune 500. If you didn't work for that company in Canada, good luck getting the same position. You'll be working in a junior position despite your previous job title. My wife is currently going through this. She went from Project Manager at one for largest companies in the world to junior developer at a small company. Pay is.......not great.\n\nI've been lucky with having a lot of support of family and friends. A lot of the clients I've started to work with in my profession came through people I know. I never would have got these opportunities on my own in that amount of time. It would have taken years. Nepotism played a big part.\n\nTo come to Canada, and start a new life without a solid support system would be absolutely brutal right now. I got really lucky, but my situation isn't normal. I wouldn't recommend anyone (Canadian or immigrant) to come back right now if they're been gone for a long time. The rent alone is enough to turn anyone away.

Indo Canadian here. Anti Immigration <> Racism. It is about selecting need based immigrants and not project Management diplomas. We need nursing, Doctors etc and not Uber drivers. For those who are in healthcare qualified and driving ubers need a path to certification. The Other aspect is scapegoating as immigrants are the easy targets. While real issue is the policymakers who enabled this mess. Essentially promoting falsehood, setting false expectations and getting wrong allocation of immigrants. This is also fueling fodder to far right which are using this for scapegoating the victims over policy makers.

My impression is that Canada has few opportunities for immigrants. They have to have local experience before they can get a job in their fields, but that creates a Catch-22 situation. Also, the Canadian economy is not doing too well, with low productivity, minimal investments in research and development, and an over-dependence on extractive industries and real estate. I think your family emigrated there at the right time, when Canada was at its best.

If you can move to the US, do so. While there is tension down here, it is by far the freest nation. Look at Europe, they're going down the fascist route, same with Australia, NZ. And Canada unfortunately is entering that realm whereby your rights are going to be extinguished. Even with a change of government, when you are beholden to an inbred, foreign crown, it gets harder and harder. South America is no different. Don't kid yourselves, places like Costa Rica sound like an idyllic place but there is crime, poverty, nasty insects. Moscow on the other hand is not bad, it's like the 1980s in the US there, sure the infrastructure is sub par and they do have crime but aside from the proxy war going on, it's an option if you are of Russian decent. Your best bet is still the US, if you can wait the years, pay all the fees, jump through all the hoops, unless of course you are an illegal, non-white and a potential Democrat voter.

I was actually thinking about moving to Canada. But the last few months and countless videos of people getting the hell out of there has put me right off. The whole Western world is in free fall and those in current power seem hell bent on bringing us all back to serfdom in a weird one world government which seems to be the way things are heading. You are living better than 90% of the world population. You dont have a right to whine about it. Consider yourself lucky you have a roof over your head, you are not being bombed or persecuted and dont have to worry where you will need to get your next dinner from. Try London England, you’ll find it’s 3-4 times more expensive than Toronto. Or try living in Congo or Palestine, it’s a lot safer than Canada. \n\nSeeing fellow Canadians complain like babies when we have it so good compared to other places makes me EMBARRASSED. Life in Canada isn’t that bad! The cost of food is the same as England £4.50 for strawberries ($8.00), £3.00 ($6) for milk, and £5.50 ($9) for cheese but gas £2.90/L ($4.10/Litr) way more costly in England. It seems like it’s mostly Canadians who ONLY know Canada and immigrants who expected life to be magically easy and handed to them… ? ?‍♂️ I had to learn to be grateful living outside of Canada, the whole world is facing inflation right now! Europe and North America. But Canada isn’t as bad as many places. But then again, I’m not a quitter. The best way to survive is getting a good education and a stable and high in demand career. They need to use the model of other provinces. Tenant should pay the rent into court pending the hearing. If tenant turns out to be right, then he/she can get their money. If wrong (which is usually the case) then at least the landlord gets the money rather than having to chase the tenant for years.

Racisms is a big issue, apart from wages , language, & loss of direction; companies need workers, politicians say otherwise, immigrant wait till government takes a stand, but any way I am skilled worker, I don't want to get abused by right wings and racists. So good luck.

Canadian immigration is a joke. I earned a masters here from a reputed university, spent so much time and money, 6 years later I became a permanent resident. I was so grateful. Now, anyone with a sob story in the name of “persecution” can just come here and actually get government money for a good while to settle in. And now, we have entire flight crews just simply “claiming” asylum. The government has made everyone who took the right channels, faced so many hardships in the way are effing losers who could’ve just gotten in through the many bogus channels. i love this country, but it has gone to the dogs steadily since 2015.

Hey! I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada,population around 1.2 million. We have a huge awesome river and river valley that is utilized year round. There are non stop festivals, right now we have the Cari West the largest Caribbean festival in western Canada. Our tap water is amazing, my daughter rents the main floor of a renovated house that includes a garage for 1,400 a month. Gorgeous south side neighbourhood within walking distance to anything. Lots of imperfections as it is a big city and yes there is crime but it does not define what I do and where I go except possibly late at night. The cold in the winter is tolerable for the most part but that doesn’t stop any one from outdoor activities. Just put your warm clothes on and just get out there. I get fed up with winter when it drags on but all of a sudden we’ve been having record breaking heat this summer so I am looking forward to Autumn. We’re 4 hours from the fabulous Rocky Mountains and the wonderful city of Calgary is about an hour 1/2 from there. Alberta is my province and Edmonton is my home. The rest of Canada varies from one province to another. PS. We’ve travelled to various locations in the U.S. and were always treated well and enjoyed our visits, just sayin!

Same problems everywhere. Its not racist or far right to demand a limitation of immigration. In Germany its very difficult to find room to live. Often the state pays for the rent of immigrants which makes it way more difficult for German inhabitants to get room to rent.

Never voted right but there's a kind of immigration that is happening now in the West that is simply tearing at the stability of things. Even here in Portugal, it's getting out of hand. Immigration is a privilege, not a right. It’s their country, their rules. \n\nI’m an international student too, and I’ve worked in the U.S. for 3 years on post-graduate work VISA on a high-skilled engineering position. But I failed to get my U.S. work visa since it’s a lottery process. Despite wanting to stay, I have no grudges against possibly leaving. It’s their house, it’s their rules.

Some have tried to enter Japan, but could not get in. They didn’t have employment, no funds, no home in to live in Japan. And Japan has a large elderly population. So they have rightly said sorry we can’t take them on. We have an elderly population to look after. The Japanese have said if they can speak basic Japanese, have money to support themselves, a job that is permanent and permanent residence you are allowed to enter. \n You can’t really claim asylum. As you are sent straight to a centre and then deported. I look at Europe and I feel so sorry for them.

Because I live in Atlanta and my son is homeless in Charlotte and he was homeless in Atlanta and all I see are homeless people lying all over the streets! I've never been conservative or anti-immigration, but the situation is getting out of control. Canada has always been a country of immigrants, but in my country, Poland, that hasn't traditionally been the case. In recent years, the demographic landscape has changed significantly, and it's not just about our Ukrainian neighbors—over a million have arrived since the war. We're also seeing an influx of people from developing countries, many of whom come under false pretenses, enroll in private universities, or attempt to cross our borders illegally to reach Germany. Right now, we're at a loss, and the most frustrating part is that while we need skilled immigrants, we're instead getting unskilled individuals who don't even make an effort to learn the language. This isn't sustainable.

No wonder people do not want to rent out nowadays with disgusting rogue tenants like these. The system is broken. And the govt does not give a damn to fix it. The govt is equally responsible along with these rogue tenants for this ugly mess, all the govt wants is to tax vacant condo home owners for their own policy blunders and lethargic system. Who in the right mind would want to rent out after seeing this. My sympathies go out to these condo home owners for the plight they are in who are running from pillar to post to get their dues and to get these rogue tenants evicted.
