My family waited ten whole years for paperwork’s and an interview, we did everything possible to save money and lived frugally as possible. I understand where they come from but as a legal immigrant it angers me to see people just shoving their way into the country. What about the ones that did it legally? If you let people come in by just shoving their way in then you might as well put up a welcome sign and have open borders. I know they were stopped but we’re getting to the point of just high fiving as people barge in.

How about we don’t let any of them in. If I ran across the Canadian border to live I would be arrested

I live in Toronto Canada and I’m sorry they keep letting people in , no one can afford rent, they say there’s jobs but it’s only for new comers, they get housings money and cars, it’s a sin that they don’t fix our economy first before letting 1000’s of people in , a lot of us are literally living pay check to pay check and barley surviving the immigrants are taking over..

I live in El Paso and the migrants were escaping the corrupt police of Juarez, Mexico. The place caught fire and the police didn't open the door to let them out. You can see the video. They were constantly being harassed and extorted by police. Who wouldn't run.

Why are they not opening fire? I'm not sorry for your situation as we have problems here too. If you want to act like fools charging the gates to our border, that is an act of war and should be treated as such. One warning shot would have made them stop. That means we need to do a background check before anyone can cross that border. If you are cool with that, then you are an issue and should second guess your own citizenship in this country because we the people are always first, no one else. Our government has forgotten that for quite some time, but amazingly Trump actually was bringing it back. Thats coming from someone who hated Trump, voted for Biden, and regretted my vote in March of Biden getting in office.

The issue here is not that we have a housing crisis , first of all let’s start with honesty. I have multiple friends from different culture backgrounds, however, one thing that sticks out to me , and some of you may not want to hear it , it’s that most of my friends that are predominantly “white” have become homeless or nearly missed it by being able to get some rental assistance either through local or federal grants. With that being said, I’m an American as well but in all reality it’s mostly immigrants or their offsprings that I witness myself still living regularly even during and after covid,why is that ? What Americans do not understand is that there are people in other Countries who are starving because their Countries have gone bankrupt, or their government system has collapsed in those Countries. Funny story , they gave my aunt asylum for a fake story she invented, she now has work permit cashing big money on this year tax return as she has 3 kids she is living the life ! In much poorer Spain, people still have universal education till university, good healthcare, good public transportation system and they don't have to eat the frozen crap most Americans eat. Spanish people eat fresh meat, fruits, cheese and vegetables and drink some of the best wine, despite earning much less than Americans and working astonishingly low hours. Moreover, their cities are livable, not like the concrete jungle of Texas. \n\nYes America is rich but DUDE, Its seriously third world, if you arent rich and successful.

Can someone tell me if Canada is a good place to move for a couple of years? I'm from the UK but lived in Spain for most of my life. The reason I want to leave Spain is because the average salary is low and job security I.E work contracts are all terrible unless you're in a big city like Madrid or Barcelona. Plus I live in a tourist/ retired destination so work here is seasonal as we are only busy over the summer time and trying to meet people around my age 20, 30s is difficult. I've heard so many good things about Canada from people I know but looking into some more I'm seeing that there's a big financial issue for those who plan to move over as the taxes are very high. I'm just looking to come over for a couple of years, save some money and then move back to the UK. If anyone that has travelled to Canada for a few years could let me know what its like now that would be great ?.

They don’t realize the harm they’re doing to the ones that already here illegally and are trying to do the best to get do everything right without breaking the laws , such as paying taxes. It’s selfishness from their part for what they’re doing and it’s only harming people like me. I’m was brought here to the US when I was 2 years old I am now 20. I graduated high school , don’t have any felonies or misdemeanors. I have a degree for machine technology and I can’t work because I don’t have a work permit , and these people are coming and getting all these privileges I never got. This is causing bad to those who are already here and are trying to do everything according to the law and yet we have no support in getting atleast a work permit. I agree daca was unconstitutional which is why they’re trying to shut it down but trump was trying to make something happen for teens that were brought here at a young age. Unfortunately people are blind and selfish and only care about themselves, I get it that they live in poverty because so did we. And my beautiful mother suffered so much. But atleast wait until the US can do something about those who are already in weather it’s helping them or not. There’s so much problems happening right now in the United States such as mass shootings. Let the authorities, government officials , etc try to clean up the United States from how bad it’s getting before raiding the border and causing a burden and headache to those who are in office trying to come up with solutions to this madness.

I'm a Canadian living in the UK now. I love Canada with every piece of my heart but couldn't see myself ever being anything other than working poor there. I went to college but couldn't get a job in my field so had to take whatever minimum wage I could get, couldn't afford rent let alone buying a property so moved in with my parents and there isn't any support from the government for average citizens, only if you're an immigrant, disabled etc. I'm not against helping immigrants, disabled people or those that need it, just sucks that if you don't fall into certain categories it means you'll always struggle in your minimum wage job.\nLife in the UK isn't perfect but I was able to find a decent job here, the public transit is actually usable, phone plans and other bills/groceries tend to be cheaper and the working conditions are significantly better. Like I get 32 paid days off a year in my average job which is just wild to me! In Canada my sister who is a police officer only gets 15 days off a year and that's a lot compared to other people, like I never use to get any paid time off at my previous jobs. I miss parts of living in Canada but for the time being the UK is making my life a lot easier.

As a Canadian, let me tell you, most of these issues stem from our very poor choice in government ATM, for almost 10 years Justin Trudeau has been our prime minsiter & has done very little besides raising taxes too actually help low income Canadians, I'm on of them, i barely make $20k a year & i live with my parents, its tough & i don't think i'll ever own a house:(

Dude, I have lived in both Australia and Canada for 4 years each. I've seen racism in both unfortunately, although not much. Now... I live in Switzerland and let me tell you these two countries have way way less racism than here and most of Europe. Sorry this won't help you much, but in many ways Canada and Australia are very similar.
