Anyone reading this that is planning on crossing the border. I'm gonna be frank with ya. Aside from the fact that you probably shouldn't be trying to circumvent our laws just to avoid a situation you don't like in the USA right now... you also shouldn't be trying to cross our border in what is becoming our winter season. \n\nThere are plenty who try, and many do meet a grim fate due to the elements they are just not prepared for. And even if you think you can do it, or prepare enough to do it, you still shouldn't. There isn't much you can do when you have fallen into one of the many sloughs that hide beneath the snow and ice during winter, waiting to make you a popsicle. And if you get out of that, you still have to somehow get warm again. But let's say you avoid that, what then? Well, we have these really cold biting winds that make the -30 temps feel like -40 or worse. But you came prepared, so let's say you can handle that for a bit. Well, you sweat. You will get damp, then wet, over time. Then your fancy clothing doesn't do much for you anymore. Ya dig?\n\nOh but wait, there's more. So we have this wildlife eh', and it likes to do this thing that wild life does... and it eats you. Coyotes are one such kind of wildlife. Bears are another. Both are prolific in certain areas, all the way down to the border in some cases. \n\nGranted, coyotes usually aren't a huge problem for us up here, but that's cause we know how to deal with them usually. Bears are another issue, that even we have problems with at times. You'll probably run into a black bear if you run into one. Grizzlies tend to be further north and to the west. You're gone too far somehow if you find Polar bears. \n\nThere are other critters to mention, but they're more active in the summer, like rattle snakes. (Yes, we have them)\n\nOkay, so you got past the border, and you actually somehow managed to survive the winter temps in your trek to some sort of civilization. Now you have to somehow find a place to live. This is of course assuming you decided to try to bypass all our border security of course. You could go to an embassy and declare asylum I guess. But right now, you're more likely to be given a ticket back to where you came from initially. So that's not something in the game plan for you. What then?\n\nWelcome to being homeless. Oh, and you're still having to deal with our winter temperatures. \n\nSuffice to say, right now is not a good time to be trying to ignore our laws just to do whatever you want. Consider this a fair warning, as this about all the F's I have to give over it all in regards to your safety. I just am dismayed that some of you mouth breathers are going to get your kids harmed because of it all as well.

That Cuban woman describes a lot of minorities believe it or not. A few more tips for driving - 1. Outside of the large cities, cars almost always stop for pedestrians to cross the street, even if they aren't anywhere near a crosswalk. 2. We often blink our highbeams at oncoming cars to warn them of police doing radar ahead, especially from a hidden position, but be aware that although it's considered polite to the other drivers, the police won't appreciate it if they see you do it! and 3. Never let your gas/petrol get below a half tank in the winter, because if you slide into the ditch on a slippery day it can take several hours for a tow truck to come, and you will need to stay warm!

I was working DoorDash making about 300 and something dollars a day I was able to feed my family and pay my rent, then the legal immigrants came. They all had cars. They were all sitting inside of the parking lot waiting for orders and then I started to make about $60 for 12 hours of work I had to leave California and lost my place and could not afford anything!!! Montrealer here. You can send your kids to any school you can afford. If they're destined to be part of the elite (because you have a lot of money, or whatever), they'll fit right in. Just make sure you can afford all the years it'll take for them to graduate. Otherwise, the switch could be a bit rough on them.\n\nIf you drive, invest in winter tires, even if the province you're in don't make them mandatory. They sure are in Quebec, and they make a big difference while driving in snow.\n\nDon't wear your winter clothes (big puffy jackets, knit hat and scarf, etc.) before winter. Get some in-between-seasons clothes (polar sweaters and jackets, long sleeves t-shirts, cotton scarfs, hiking boots, etc.) If you dress super warm while still in fall, you'll freeze come winter. You have to give your body a chance to acclimate itself to the lower temperature. \n\nWhen buying clothes for winter, the secret to being warm is NOTHING TIGHT. Get a loose jacket, and boots you can move your toes in, with a good sole (no thin cute leather boots please, they are not for winter, just for show), and wear them with fluffy socks, no tight bands. Also, get mittens instead of gloves, much much warmer. And a loose tuque, or ear muffs with the hood of your jacket.\n\nAnd get a pair of ice cleats, for those days when everything is covered in ice. Or learn to skate ! ?

If they can even navigate than they have gps and phones so they can also be traced easily via gps if not theyd get lost everywhere but non rural areas plus you need tons of gear to cross a state like montana which they dont have and its getting cold af

just deceived by a new Indian immigrant, and it feels terrible. About 10 days ago, I posted an advertisement for a parking spot rental in front of my apartment condo. I then received a call from someone who said he had just moved here from India and needed a parking spot. I explained that parking spots here are rented on a monthly basis. He said that was fine, but he wanted to first pay only for the days from October 24 to October 31, and then he would pay for the following month. I thought that was acceptable, so I agreed.However, on October 31, he didn’t make the payment as expected. When I asked, he said he would pay on November 1. The next day, when I hadn’t received the payment, I followed up, and he promised to pay the following morning. By noon on November 2, I still hadn’t received the payment, so I messaged him again, but he didn’t respond. It was only later in the evening when he finally replied, saying he no longer needed the parking spot and that I could rent it to someone else. Then i asked how to deal with the rest of the payment of these days for the parking he already used, no reply anymore. At that moment, I really felt deceived. Why so much like getting smart with others?

Canada needs skilled immigrants because Canada failed to create a real education system. Even the schools we have are a joke, no one fails, no one gets disciplined, criminal behavior is tolerated and allowed.

I came to Germany in 2008 to do my Bachelors and later did my masters and working for 10 years now. Got my citizenship 5 years ago. Lets say i have to travel a lot due to my work.. If i move out of Germany, it would be only because of insane tax . I expected even a colder or harsher condition but since my expectation was soo low, it was all good.. At my work place, the working language is only German. I knew that before so it was not a hard time when i was thinking from time to time regarding the difficulty.. \nOne thing and most important thing, Even after getting your citizenship in Germany you are not automatically a German. You are just a paper german ( Even though i dont hold other passport ). I knew this before and it was not hard for me but for many immigrants who become german citizens, they will still be seen as an Ausländer .. Thats the reality which will take another decade to change.
