I wanted to join the military but couldn’t because I have adhd

What's truly alarming about this executive order is the lack of pretense. Anti-trans laws have usually carried a faux language of concern for transgender people but now it's straight to dehumanisation. Being kicked out of the military is a minor concern now. Trans people in America should be focusing on arming themselves and drills to protect themselves from state violence. If you doubt the state is not aiming to kill us you're living in a fantasy world.

Get the Military there to stop this nonsense. They are no different than solders of another regime trying to take over our country!

The public is concerned about the price of groceries, finding a job, violence, crimes. Yet CNN leads the way, wasting time and money talking to a person who represents less than a third of 1% of our population. The emotional/gender issues and feelings - even of a commander - in the military are not our top priority. That man needs to be talking to a therapist about his gender dysphoria and emotional issues... because the top priority for persons serving in the military OUGHT TO BE NATIONAL DEFENSE - NOT GENDER ISSUES.

Hey when my grandpa (my mom’s dad) who served our military during Vietnam which he was drafted. He saw men of all walks of life even black guys go over there fight and come home in rough shape or worse. He told me one time he while he was on the army base where he was based at and he saw a black man who at the time whites and blacks were still trying to get there acts together. Was flown in from Nam on a medivac with machine gun holes ripped right through his chest and was in bad shape my grandpa said they immediately rushed him to emergency surgery and my grandpa asked the surgeon who worked on him. “Hey did that color boy make it,” the guy said “it was touch and go there for a while but he pulled through but he was that close to d¥ing.” So if any man woman whatever that serves our military is willing to fight and lay down their l!fe for our country/freedom deserves to wear that uniform and serve with honor and pride.

I think everybody is missing a point here if you went in and you had already transitioned.I don't think there should be any problem with serving your country as I am a former veteran. I think what they are saying is that transitioning while you are in the service and taking time away from being readily available for a chosen procedure, it is not military readiness. How is this difficult to understand?

We don't need people getting free cosmetic surgery to their genitals which makes them Non-Deployable, with a PT Waiver, sitting in a platoon room, playing with their cell phone for 2 years, healing from their surgeries and collecting money for college. There's absolutely no benefit to the military or tax payers and only downsides.

No, if you're confused about simple biology, you're unfit to command. Serving is a privilege, not a right. The military is not a social experiment.

Being able to serve in the U.S. Military has MANY, MANY conditions that must be met in order for one to serve!!! If you are CONFUSED about your gender then that is a detriment to serving & considered a MH disorder!!!!

This is the Military, a lethal fighting force to protect your country and for war. There is no place in the military for these types of people and or behaviors. There is no place for specific gender flags and all this crap in what is meant to be the most lethal fighting force on the planet. Can anyone give me 3 reasons HOW allowing transgender people in our military increases the chances of success in combat? Answers that include anything about protecting their feelings does not count. The enemy does not care about your feelings, nor does a projectile meant to cause harm.

I think trans when it comes to men in to women to serve to the military should be OK I feel like they still have all the mam traits but on the other hand I wudnt want a women's trans to a man having to watch my back in war??? HELLLL NAAHHH ??????

This is not the behavior our military wants or needs. Other countries look at transgender as weakness and craziness, and this position is harmful to our country. This is now what Trump is making decisions about, and the voters have spoken. We don't want tax dollars spent on anything trans.

As a combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, multiple times, I completely agree with the president’s anti-trans policy in the military. Soldiers have a hard enough job as it is much less stacking on some DEI nonsense. That’s only gonna take time away from their training and ultimately DEI is going to 100% negatively affect the mission and their safety. Of personally over a 10 year period served with a couple gay and lesbian Service members and never once was what they did in the privacy of their own bedroom ever an issue or counter to the mission but this new age woke DEI nonsense is completely counterproductive, dangerous, And disrespectful to the non-DEI service members. The simple act of picking an unqualified, military leader, who’s responsible for the care and lives solely on the gender, ethnicity, religion, or pronoun, and not on merit, experience, competency, or any of the other real requirements for a military leader is literally the most irresponsible, dangerous, and disrespectful thing you can do to the men and women who have literally dedicated their life for years in service of our country! There’s absolutely no excuse on this planet that would make it ok. Being a service member in combat is already the most stressful job on the planet, but to make them take their focus off of the immediate threat to focus on political correctness or someone’s magical mystery pronoun while trying to prioritize and mitigate threats and combat is the most asinine and literally dangerous Nonsense I’ve ever heard!??????

Never heard of Vets for American and I have been a vet since 78. We do not need a social experiment in the military. I have seen so many people leave the military because of DEI programs and the embarrassment of trans people and the demands they make, their words. All I hear from this person is me and I, words that indicate an individual and not a team member. Who will follow a leader that they have no respect for ruins the team and fails the mission.

also, standards are subjective. if the previous military’s standards were lower than the current military’s, your achievements are a moot point. true merit is returning to our military, and people like this are outraged that they’re below standards now
