How about you get an education in your own country. I'm Aussie and we set limits on our own people at University and their education so that they can profit of foreign students, most being from China and India even though they have the 2nd and 3rd highest GDP's in the world and 1st and 2nd highest populations in the world, so they should be able look after their own instead of jeopardising the education of our own, but then Goverment will say we need to increase immigration to 400,000 a year ( just hit 27 million, 2 decades before we ment too) of mainly skilled workers who got their skill and education from our nation instead from their own people. All of this during a housing crisis, cost of living crisis, small job market and overwhelming Immigration. Dumbest plan I've ever heard.

Canada sucks. I came here as a doctor only to find endless blocks and hoops and loops. Before settling here I was told ENDLESSLY about the paradise I was about to move to (Canadians love to present their country as such), and how a job as a doctor would be there for me since I meet the qualifications. You come here and reality hits, this is a bureaucratic nightmare of a country! The lack of Canadian experience is also an excuse for discrimination. I speak four languages, worked in different countries including Colombia, USA, France. Somebody please explain to me what is so extraordinary about Canadian experience that one cannot learn elsewhere? BTW Canadian medicine is TERRIBLE, BAD! I am leaving in June, got a pretty good job lined up back home in Colombia!

Before locking people down for months at a time as occurred during Covid, hopefully politicians will consider the long term repercussions, if such a thing should happen again. This is a national and global problem. Western countries have hit their economic growth peak and the rich are hiding their money. It's easy to blame foreign home buyers which in Toronto and Vancouver is a legitimate part of the housing problem but it more so has to do with some people not paying their equal share while they profit off of our labor and our spending. The system only works if the money comes back and creates some level of spending. The only issue we have with immigration is the downward push on wages and the Fast Pace at which it's happening because local infrastructure including housing Healthcare and transportation cannot accommodate such a rapid increase and again it's happening mostly in the big cities. This worked in the twenties and the 50s and the 70s to bring in mass number of immigrants because we had big economic growth at the time. We have the poorest industrial policy out of the G8 countries it's Dreadful it doesn't even exist
