I was born in Canada in the 80s. My parents are from India. So call me racist if it gets you off. My ass is browner than yours probably. \nMy parents, and my uncles and aunts who came here in the late 1970s had to work their asses off to prove they were worthy of even ENTERING Canada, let alone to live in the country. ALL of my older male relatives who came to Canada at that time had a PhD in a science related field or was a medical doctor. EVEN then, they had to go through years of re-training in Canadian schools in order to have a shot at PR. And they persevered and did it, and did well. \nNow, anyone and their dog is allowed in, and it's kind of an insult to all my relatives had to accomplish in order to build a life here. They had to earn doctorates and medical degrees TWICE (once in India and again in Canada).\nWell, that generation did well, and now we're the kids who are grateful and enjoying the sacrifice they put in. What will the kids of illiterate, minimum wage workers be like? Probably not so good.\nCanada's probably done. But does the average Canadian have any desire to do anything. Nope. They used to value hard work and ambition when I was growing up but Canadian culture has become lack of ambition, and entitlements just for existing. \nSo, at least I was raised with the idea of working to no end and sacrificing in order to accomplish something in life. Now, I have the resources to live where I like and do. Canada's just a place I visit now if I feel like it.\nThose of you who like to sit at Tim Horton's every weekend with your beer and weed every night complaining about how your employer should pay you more obesity privileges, enjoy being served by the migrants who WILL take over as you approach the counter in your government funded scooter. You all reaped what you sowed. Most Canadians WELCOMED socialism and their wish came true. Peace.

I’m all for them moving to another Muslim country in the region if religious difference are going to continue to be a contributing factor that’s my take on it why leave them there stop the war only for it to start again in 10 to 15 years if not sooner ?

This is going to create so many new jobs, we’re going to need to figure out how to determine better who is a refugee/asylum seeker/international student visa holders(who overstayed) to citizens. These people are all going home it’ll take a few years but they’re not welcome.

The cartel guys are resourceful, they probably charge the same but less hassle to use the northern border. If I would be the cartel I would send endless amount of people and charge them when they have arrived at the destination. As NY give them money I would take 10% for the first year for example. There are now quite a few news stories in Canada of immigrants leaving the country - some back home and others to the USA and other places. Many just get a Canadian passport and then leave. There are public health care and pensions, so it can be an asset and also a convenient travel document to have. A lot of Canadian university graduates have a very hard time finding work in their fields and a lot of them look to the US for a better future. Both immigration and unemployment in Canada are much higher that in the US - so more people are chasing fewer jobs that often pay less and are taxed more than in the USA. Opportunities are generally a lot fewer in Canada than the US, and the business environment is not as favourable, and taxes significantly higher. You would be getting some of the entrepreneurs from Canada moving to the US for more favourable conditions as well to launch a business and also now a lot more rich investor types, so-called high net worth individuals wanting to relocate, because they just raised the capital gains tax in Canada. Capital gains is also triggered on inheritance in Canada with a deemed sale of property and assets, so rich people would prefer the American system and want to be residents there for tax purposes and have their assets grow in value in the US compared to Canada. There are very large numbers of foreign students and other categories of immigrants which may have as their goal going to the US after getting a temporary visa to Canada which is easy to get - maybe something like half a million to a million people in those categories depending on the year, plus around another half million regular immigrants and refugees now. The Trudeau administration has increased immigration to record numbers. It has been steadily going up over the years for several decades since 1990. Because of family re-unification it can have a snowball effect and could significantly exceed 1 million per year. A lot of the sending countries have much larger populations than Canada, so there are a lot more that can be potentially sent to Canada in the future. About 1/4 of the population of Canada has been added in the past few decades. Add to that visitors and temporary visas - that is a lot of people potentially moving to the US. Before the 1990s Canadians visiting the US were not required to have a passport and a drivers' license or birth certificate was adequate. Now a passport is required. It is impossible to effectively control the long Canada-US border, so there could be some unified policies in that area agreed on between Canada and the USA on immigration and refugees. Canada currently has a very open immigration policy with the government actively seeking out more immigration beyond its current processing capacity and trying to take rejected immigrants from other countries. The Canadian government, especially in recent years under Trudeau is immigration hungry. It might be the only country in the world doing that. What some news reports are now saying is that some immigrants are actually leaving, since they find it so difficult in Canada and some are worse off than they were in the countries they came from, which were considered to be less developed than Canada. \nWashington currently has more immigration controls and administrative competencies than Ottawa, so US pressure and influence is a faster way to get reforms into the system than waiting for local politicians to do anything, which is unlikely. Canada is seen by some as a backdoor into the US. Biden's immigration policies could be seen as very conservative in Canada compared to Trudeau's. It used to be in the news about how refugees were trying to get to Canada and walking across the border in Quebec and out west from the US earlier, but now there are more news stories of immigrants leaving Canada trying to go the other way, probably due to high costs and unemployment because the government took in more people than it could absorb into the economy. They have the idea that immigration drives GDP growth so that they can borrow and spend more, expand the civil service, etc. without making any cutbacks or efficiencies, supposedly without the Debt to GDP ratio getting worse, just by bringing in more people as if that would drive the economy. A lot depends on who you bring in as well. Are they going to go on welfare, are they going to increase crime, will they somehow contribute to society, are they a net tax benefit or cost in terms of government services, will they invest money, will they start a business and create jobs for others ? Those issues do not factor into government decision making in Canada for the most part. Ontario Premier Doug Ford did say there were too many foreign students. It is bad planning not to consider those factors since there are other costs that grow with those policies as well, and infrastructure has to be expanded. I think that the real immigration numbers to Canada are not transparent or made public, nor are the costs involved, if anyone even knows what they are. Nor is the impact on crime. You can guess from what the reports are in other countries. The Fraser Institute has made some estimates on the net costs of immigration to the government budget a few years ago, which were very high and which by now have increased - the cost equivalent of several new aircraft carriers each year. They are big numbers which are not publicized, but it amounts to the fact that immigration is subsidized by the taxpayers in Canada and it is not paying for our pensions as an ageing society as has been claimed. There is less money for education, health care and pensions per person, and those social benefits will probably have to be reduced over time. Social programs can only be delivered to the extent that the government has money. The bigger social system a county has, the more such immigration policies are going to cost. Trudeau has been expanding various social programs as well, so higher taxes and debt are likely with that approach. Then more productive people and companies will want to leave Canada and go to the US. Probably the government does not know what the actual numbers and costs are and doesn't actively keep track of that information beyond what is required. Probably nobody knows what the true immigration figures and their associated costs are in Canada, and hardly anyone has even studied those issues. If they can just walk across the US border and get papers so easily making an asylum claim, it is not surprising, since it would take them longer to get a regular visa and work permit if they did it legally. You could call that a loophole in the US immigration system which is being exploited. The US is better governed in general and has a better system in many ways, but I am not sure if it is the same on that. People have arrived on boats and have not been sent back. At least in the US you have more open information about those issues. In Canada it is hard to find out anything about it. Deportations from Canada are very few. \nOn other issues in Canada when voting in federal elections you have to show a government issued photo ID like a drivers' license or passport to vote and bring a card that was mailed out to eligible voters that gets updated addresses when a person files their taxes. I have never heard of mail-in ballots in Canada, but there are remote areas of the country in the far north who may have special system for voting. It is easier to get a Canadian citizenship than US and many more citizenships are handed out in Canada each year in proportion to the population than in the US. Canadian might be one of the easiest citizenships to get in the world. The official line now is that it is a country of immigrants. Based on current trends, will very little opposition to it in the parliament and most MPs supporting it, future immigration to Canada could increase to several million per year because of the rapid growth of population in the world, and the momentum already growing of immigration to Canada, so it may change significantly in the future. Historically around the world you can see many examples that country names, borders, flags and languages change over time with population changes, so it might not be called Canada anymore in 50-100 years. For example, Bulgaria used to be called Thrace which had been a powerful kingdom in antiquity and had a different language which is barely known about anymore. Over the past 2,000 years it has gone through a number of changes and had various regimes governing it, has been independent and also part of several different empires. Canada has only been a country for a short time in comparison and has been been going through significant changes. Trudeau has said that Canada is a post-national country. Canada is also going through a period of critical self-examination and deconstruction-revisionism. A lot of what had been viewed as positive from its history now is seen more critically, with re-naming and removing historical figures now seen as negative.\nDiscussing immigration policy critically is considered by many to be taboo in Canada, unless a person is saying good things about it in general. You can hear people say that the government isn't processing enough people, for example, but not often that there are too many or that it costs a lot of money. The trend of migration from Canada to the US would only increase much more in the future as it is going currently, and its role as a stepping stone to migration to the US could increase. The way this would be seen by many in Canada is that they are losing valuable people to the USA whom they consider assets, since a lot of officials have been trying to bring in more people into the country, but not everyone wants to stay in Canada nowadays because of a lack of jobs and opportunities. Canada is quite laissez-faire about migration, with Toronto being a sanctuary city as well.

The USA should take over Canada and become the biggest country in the world. Canada is a mess-up place that had nine years of liberal politics that destroyed the entire country. Canada has no military power, they cannot protect the upper border from Russia and China. The US air force take care of that, and they should not. Context:\n\nAround a year or two ago driving back home with some friends after visiting Niagara Falls, we were pulled over because my car’s headlights were off. I didn’t stop immediately when they turned their police lights on because I didn’t think I did anything wrong but did eventually pull over after realizing they were indeed trying to pull me over. \n\nAfter I pulled over, two officers quickly got out and one of them rushed to my passenger side mirror and very aggressively yelled at me, “why didn’t you pull over” etc. I was very surprised by his reaction and quickly explained that I was a fairly new driver (about 6 months of driving experience at the time). He went away for a few seconds to cool off and later apologized for his behavior (very respectable).\n\nMain Focus:\n\nNow, the interesting part is while the officer was cooling off, the other officer wanted not just my ID but everyone else’s’ in my car as well. I still to this day do not think that is normal, however, I haven’t been pulled over enough to confirm that. Anyways, some of my friends didn’t have officials IDs on them but they did have their student ID. The police wanted that as well. They took a long time to what I assume, conduct a very thorough check on everyone’s ID, making sure nothing is suspicious and everyone is from America. The whole encounter had to be around 20 to 30 minutes long, it was very very long. \n\nTakeaway:\n\nFrom what I experienced that day, I strongly believe that people were at least crossing the northern border around 1 year ago and most likely even earlier. There are bus services that go straight to NYC from Buffalo which is right across the border from Canada to the US. However, I’m not sure if you need ID to use those services. \n\nFor those who read this comment, use this information however you will, I hope it helps even just a little in making some sort of change. \n\nHopefully, there won’t be an increase on how long it takes me to get past border patrol to Canada and back ?. I also hope that our taxes decrease because too much of it are being payed for services to aliens when some of our locals are still stuck in the streets.

It's not even just in Brampton even 1 to 2 hours away immigrant and international students take all customer service jobs to the point that Canadians can barely get hired into these roles because we have expectations and rights that we worked for and I've seen these immigrants willing to work for less than legal minimum wage and they do not stand up for themselves or work towards having any shared rights. In addition many politicians on both sides of the aisle are rental landlords so only stand to profit from low rental vacancies and cramming as many people into a small space as possible. They've also cut funding to a lot of post-secondary institutions who rely on inflating tuition cost for international students. At my current role on a team of 15 people plus one manager there are only three white people, born and raised Canadians. The rest are all Indians including the manager and will frequently talk amongst themselves loudly in Punjabi while we're trying to serve customers in the English language. That's actually against policy but Canadians are so outnumbered by immigrants and specifically Indians in this place that it never gets enforced properly. I've never been anti-immigration but it's gotten so bad in Canada especially in places like Ontario that I'm now against it and will tell anyone regardless of their skin color to avoid immigrating here. I've been on a wait list for a doctor for over 11 years, I know people who have died from cancer due to delayed referrals due to long wait list for additional screening, it's insane and absolutely ridiculous especially considering the amount of taxes I currently pay and have paid my entire life as a born and raised Canadian.\n\nAlso it's absolutely true every single one is either taking or has taken post-secondary studies in business admin or management. We don't need more people in these fields we need Healthcare sector workers and not a single one that I've spoken with which again is quite a few studied anything related to medicine Healthcare nursing... not one.

I live south of Buffalo NY, and I used to take the Greyhound everywhere. This was like 15 years ago, but Everytime we got to Buffalo officers used to board the bus and check for people that may be entering illegally before the buses headed out. They'd just ask your destination and request ID from anyone they suspected may be foreign. It wasn't extensive but it was something.

Some people get subsidized housing, but those housing are not the best places you would want to live. Mostly in poor neighborhoods and neglected. \n\nI came here and took myself back to school. One of the programs I did was an eye opener Leaderahip program. It gave me a glimpse of who I am and what potential I carry. And boom, I realized this is not my place. My life is not just about working and paying bills, it’s more. And this more can only grow home. Otherwise I will keep working with slow growth in employment, and come back home when I can’t live my full potential \n\n\nIf you have to, leave, come to Canada. Exposure is worthwhile. Make sure you take a technical course, avoid debts. Go back home and grow with your country. \n\nKenya is our Canaan.

Old News,theyve been doing this for years now. Canada the Government has been an enemy of the usa for awhile now aka Trudeau and his friends before him. Canada has let chinese nationals take over places in canada with cansinos and such. Its not just the cartels involved.

As someone who moved from the US to middle of nowhere Canada, this tracks. Most of Canada cannot be lived in as a homeless person for 6-8 months out of the year unless you plan on literally freezing to death. It regularly gets down to -60 Celsius in the winter where I live and unless you live in a big city, alot of the smaller cities and towns that dot Canada ain't willing to take in illegal migrants because they have no resources to do so.

Yes I understand his point but at the end of the day they’re still not taking any in and they should you can always return them and you can still push for them to have their lands but I don’t think they have to stay the sacrificed to do that. If they’re helping them and truly fighting for their land you should be able to remove people for safety reasons leave the fighters behind when it’s safe you can return the people and they probably should make systems in the neighbourhood areas and yeah other countries in Europe and whatever yes we all should help out each other like that I think for sure . Also if people want to leave in peace and harmony , When they return because yeah you should take in the vulnerable people while they’re in wall countries neighbour called country should do that and yeah you should return them properly after and create systems for that , then work on having peace , can’t keep both fighting and throwing rockets so equally needs to be responsibility and obviously people are always going to fight and always have war so I do think yeah we should start creating humanitarian systems where we do take people in and then just yeah fight for their land do the right thing try to get peace when it’s over return the people I just create better systems like that because obviously we think it’s going to be over and then years later people are at war and all these innocent people have to suffer and it isn’t fair and they shouldn’t have to all the sacrifices to fight for their land anyway that’s what I think I think we should be trying to avoid more death you know let the fighters fight that’s bad enough that soldiers have to die and be sacrificed but protect the people as best as we can if people want to volunteer and they want to fight okay but I think you should try to protect the people

I've been bringing this up for years and only get labeled as racist and bigoted. I get told straight up by indians that they don't care about this country, that they just want to take education and money back home. They don't care about local culture, human decency or hygene and don't make any REAL attempt at assimilation, only faking it so they don't get harrassed by real Canadians. \n\nI post exactly whats happening on social media and get shadow banned, mass reported and my retarded friends/family that are too timid and weak minded to point out whats happening attack me instead of having a conversation.

I have some comments about some of the things in the video. Including Olivia Chow in the video when talking about housing affordability with local government policies I don't think is right to inlcude her as she only got elected last year and has to deal with all the decisions and issues from the past Toronto mayor. It's similar to blaming Biden for the economic issues of the US when a lot of the reasons for the downturn economy in the US during his first term was the impact of the economic policies that Trump put in place, it takes time. In terms of the carbon tax, I think its a valid criticism with the compounding issues canadians are facing, but also take into consideration that the provincial governments also have some play with this, as they have the ability to go for the standard carbon tax or implement a cap and trade. A lot of conservative governments like to complain about the federal government about this, but they are also to blame for some of the lack of affordability for political points. As well for the banking fees, we do have a smaller selection of banks, but there are some options that Canadians can have that do not include fees (Simplii, Tangerine). Everything else in the video I agree on, I also think personally that all political parties need a shake up in leadership.

Maybe 1 person leaves Canada, but when that 1 person leaves, there are 10 waiting to take their place. A transition to Conservatives at the Federal level may lighten the load on a few things like Carbon Tax, and Income Tax (maybe), but they won't be the party to introduce limitations and regulations on investors that are responsible for driving up housing prices, by treating the housing market like it's a stock exchange. \nI will applaud Trudeau on winning over the EV battery plant, for pulling us out of bombing Syria and Iraq, for legalizing Marijuana, and for including Dental Care in health coverage (albeit limited...), but some of his decisions should have been better thought through, like the capital gains tax, and should only be targeting investors that have more than 3 properties. While he increased the budget for the Military, he's spent his first two terms ignoring it and that's severely hampered our readiness, and equipment. And while I do think we needed to boost immigration to stave off economic disaster, the current level that its at is problematic, and many bad faith actors are taking advantage of it and enriching themselves like the diploma mills.

My mom was unemployed for three years when we came to Canada, despite having a computer science degree. Now she's in the top one percent of earners. When you're a first generation immigrant you have to overcome racism, and it takes time.

Why are people leaving? BEcause in the last 7 years we made a huge mistake of letting in too many people and spent less time developing ourselves and infrastructure. Way too many came and got seated in the usual big cities where things are getting worse. Right now there is a gradually increasing anti-immigrant sentiment, especially towards East Indians, Bangladeshiis and Pakistanis, and there is a worry about having existing culture turning too Islamic and Hindu. So you can often hear some pretty racist things or read some pretty racist stuff online.\n\nThe problem isn't immigration. Immigrants are amazing and we need them, but our country didn't play the long game and let in too many too fast. Right now esp[ecially for Bangladeshiis and Indians, is that ,many are coming illegally and getting a REFUGEE status, paying their own to do this who work in lawyerships [and you shoudl see the scamming being done by Indian and Bangladeshi Canadians who are just taking their former countrymen for everything they are worth!]: Canada is like a person taking on too much all at once and then resenting its choices once it becomes responsible for them. Between bad decisions and some very seedy practices by immigrants coupled with the general greed to own land....and you have a modern crisis.

As a born and raided Canadian I'm sick of this. I have 3 jobs, none of which have hours for me in my professional field, my bosses are hiring on foreign workers to do the work i can do. Our public spaces are overrun by people who stick together and refuse to acknowledge our culture, and have no plans of assimilation. Went to Canada in 2005 first. Things were so different. Was there just for a year before moving to California for about 9 years. Now back in India and love it here. Glad I enjoyed the good days in Canada and USA when it was really good times there. Even Many parts of Uaa are like this now. UK too is bad choice. I worked for a Canadian school/institute as their admissions advisor for India. But when things were not looking good for their job prospects I honestly told them not to go or wait to get in a better US university. Ofcourse this ethical mindset was causing trouble with my work profile and targets, so I quit. Atleast I won't feel guilty of misguiding hopeful students who were ready to take education loan by keeping their homes or ancestral lands as mortgage. I will advise the new generation to choose any country for education after doing all research, not just by the glossy picture they portray.. or best to stay in India and help our economy grow.. create jobs here. Living in Canada since 5 years and never faced any of these issues mentioned in the video. Its a beautiful country with most polite and helpful people, one of the best work culture I have seen. We recently welcomed new born baby in Canada and medical care we received was top notch. Been growing personally and professionally in this land with grace. \n\nThe only issue I see here is growing number of unqualified immigrants which doesn’t help Canada and creates stress in Current system. Its good that they are starting to take measures on quality of immigrants.

Not enough affordable housing, not enough jobs and not enough hospitals to support healthcare of people. Developed countries term are scam. Its crappy, I'm at the point in my life where me and my fiancée are making more money then we ever have, but its going no where. We need immigrants, we do not need this much. I go on tiktok and there are tutorials for people coming into this country on how to obtain free food, like from food banks and what not, spite the fact we have minimum funding requirements for students coming here. It sucks, because the minimum isn't high enough for somebody to actually live off, and its taking food away from desperate Canadians who really need it. Some of my best friends are immigrants, and it sucks to try to speak up about it, only to be bashed as a bigot or xenophobic. I'm not either of those things, we just have a HUGE issue caused by a massive influx of people. Its not the people's fault, its the failure of our government. I have no issues with anybody who wants to live a better life, I have massive issues with a government letting new immigrants experience a mediocre, and overpriced, life at the cost of everybody else's life getting WAY more expensive and difficult. My rent for a 2bd apartment in 2014 was $770 all included, Grocery bill was about 170 every two weeks. That has all tripled in the last 10 years, Legit tripled. *Only mentioning those two, because they have gone up the most, but EVERYTHING has gone up. (about 2-3x) Its crazy to think when I was making 8-10 dollars less an hour, I had more money, it went MUCH further.

Instead of taking advantage of a class of working age people who can immediately start paying taxes we have allowed capitalists who own both parties with their lobbyists to extract wealth from rent farms and using their monopolies to overcharge us for basic needs under the guise of inflation. If this were true and you have to raise prices by 25%, how come they dont also raise wages by 25% if their profit and overhead have increased proportionally? Increased profits during a slow economy with the pandemic is so blatant whats happening. We are being robbed by long established canadian nepotism families that run our government and point the finger at immigrants. Economies are supposed to scale with population, in the case of immigrants many dont require the necessary fortune we spend on native born peoples public education so they are able to work. We spend nothing on integration efforts our schools abuse them charge the massive international fee. These are rich people coming here with families capable of paying the additional 10-20k a year being international students, and we are not benefitting from this extremely successful industry only the rich are. Imagine if we could be proud of the fact our education is so good people will pay our country double just to get it. Squandered opportunity on every side.

Don't generalize things..there are good things and bad everywhere. Canada has problems and they have grown over the years but it is still the most friendly place to live. If you are well educated and getting a job offer,take it. It's a big beautiful country to explore if you are an outdoor person. Don't believe everything on the internet.

I really like your videos abhi & niyu however this video is not showing the full reality. Every country has its goods & bads and same goes with Canada. I have lived in Canada for 4 years since 2004 and some problems may have increased, but that doesnt make it such a bad place to live or immigrate too. Drugs is a choice and the percentage should be compared to India as well then.\nYes, there is significant wait for doctors but its not what you showed in video and if you want to expedite, private system is a choice you can take same as india. \nIf you work hard & save, you can definitely afford to buy a house, same as India.\nI love India but that does not mean I close my eyes for any good things outside of that country.

I moved to USA with my wife in 2022. Initially we felt very good being in a developed country. But eventually we started seeing the realty. In movies, USA is shown as the perfect place to be. Cops, healthcare, services, quality of life, everything. We reality is opposite. So many homelessness, theft, cops won't even take action, car breaks, expensive healthcare. I was shocked that USA isn't as perfect as advertised! The loneliness is so bad that US surgeon general declared loneliness as epidemic!! Mental health issues, so much depression, drugs. What is mental health I got to know only after being in USA. Seeing the reality of USA, me and my wife decided to move back to India in early 2024. We have started appreciating India alot! The kind of growth India is witnessing in last 10 years is mindboggling. Infact India is much ahead of USA in many things. Honestly we felt we downgraded our lifestyle when we moved to USA.

This gov't can't do anything right. That's because they have a different agenda about immigration than what it's supposed to be. Initially, the Canadian gov't would take in a certain amount of immigrants per year based on the needs of the country. All immigrants were vetted from those that applied through the proper channels i.e. LEGALLY. Canada needed certain types of workers to fill a need in a certain industry, it would prioritize those newcomers with those skills and education. But now, it's a free for all and it has nothing to do with industry nor economic needs. It's instead all about the numbers of voters that are likely to keep the Liberals in power. That's it in a nutshell. It's all about power and control. Same thing with catering to special interest groups. The gov't cares nothing about hard working middle-class taxpayers. And if this creates divisions among Canadians, too bad as long as it fills their purpose of staying in power forever. And they do it by lying and using political correctness and punishment for speaking up as a threat. Canadians are now accused of 'racism', 'Islamophobia' and 'xenophobia' if they even question the issue of immigration. It's all a political game meant to keep the politicians in control, well fed and wanting for nothing while the hard working Canadian is stressed to the max trying to make ends meet.
