So Russia is going to want to be with US and be our partner not our Enemies

I am a French Canadian. I did not hear it From Trudeau in English but I heard it in French, the real reason of the economic war is annexation. Fentanyl, immigration was just a Casus Belli. Trump want to put us on our knees and beg to join the US. We will have federal elections soon and we know that Trump will try to influence the outcome of the elections like Chine, Russia or India. We know has Canadian that USA is not a friend anymore. Trump is the dumbest of American President of the history of USA. Americans citizens get rid of Trump and Vance before it is too late.

Trump wants to cripple Canada economically so that his billionare buddies can buy us up for pennies on the dollar. He's working with Putin to divide up the world and take the spoils by force.

Trump wants to break Canada weakening them to make them the 51st state. Canada there are other markets to trade with. Companies are going to move from the US and with them so will your trade route.

If you voted for Trump, you are directly responsible for this. Kamala would’ve at least respected the constitution, and relationships with allies. Trump is a danger to global peace and stability, he has only been in office for 2 months has been tearing up everything you stand for day by day. My sympathies go to the US citizens that didn’t want trump but are now losing their global standing because of him. If he continues as he has done so far, I expect escalation and a war that nobody wants.

As an American, I want to say that I have never seen a more toxic administration in my life. Not only are they hurting Americans but they are hurting Americas longstanding allies. I grew up hearing lots of hate bout USA cuz the US doesn't exactly have a good rep in foreign policies - always bullying other nations, starting wars for oil etc. but I've always preferred USA not just for the world order it brings, it allows different voices, criticism & scolding towards its leaders compared to China, Russia & North Korea. \n\nin the US, you can talk bad bout politicians in power, or probably make movies bout these kind of things like US invading other countries for oil, or testing out some cruel AI military robots on humans (movie name: Monsters of Man), & you won't be persecuted. but after looking at a bunch of executive orders Trump has signed, the way he (& JD Vance) treated Zelenski & Canada, I don't know if I still feel the same bout USA anymore.\n\nif USA doesn't wanna continue spending on Ukraine, perhaps USA shouldn't have sweet talked Ukraine into denuclearization thru the 1994 Budapest Memorandum. that's what you get for mendling with other countries' affairs. by stopping US aid & wanting a new mineral deal, Trump's refusing to follow the Memorandum (I added this sentence thru edit as I can't reply to the comment below).\n\nunderstandably, US & UK don't need to deploy troops in Ukraine as the security assurance in the memorandum wasn't clearly defined, but it also didn't mention that Ukraine should pay the US back financially, nor any mineral concessions. \n\nTrump always wanting a purely 1 sided deal will only isolate USA from more allies.

While I am going to financially suffer from this, I want to see our country start new deals with Europe and Asia. Until tRump is gone and ALL of his minions have left office, I don't want to see any deals with the US. \nWe knew Trump wanted to destroy Canada financially. This was NOT about fentynal.\nWe have enough wood, enough oil, and enough resources to establish good relationships around the world. And sustain fellow Canadians.

What has Canada and European countries done to actually try and end the death and destruction from this war? Europe buys energy from Russia, and Canada is only giving 650 million dollars in weapons over three years, while America has supplied hundreds of billions of dollars in aid and military equipment. Zelensky goes around the world dressed in a military outfit with no desire to stop the slaughter of humans on both sides. There have been thousands of wars where, eventually, one side has to accept the reality that they can not win, Zelensky is unwilling to see this. President Trump was elected because we want his AMERICA FIRST AGENDA, and with us saddled with 36 TRILLION dollars of debt, this war needs to stop.

Who owns the majority of the stock market? Who cares. More than half of us don't own stocks. As for Canada, Trump is doing what he thinks is best for Americans not Canada. Not any talk here on why Trump did this and no one here seems to want to know. Let the talking heads that own tons of stocks through Black Rock tell you all you need to stay in the dark.

For all of you supporting Zelenskyy, the man cannot even account for $100 billions -- yes, billions with a B -- given to his country, and his stupidity plays right into the hands of starting WWIII, if we're not in it already. Ukraine is just another source of money laundering, and here we are just willing to give more and more money without any result, except for dead bodies. There is nothing wrong for wanting peace. You can't negotiate with only one side. And for Canada, Canada has been charging us high tariffs for years, but no one has pointed out that unfairness.

Curious, what is a better solution to tariffs already imposed by Canada on the US? It's amazing that Canada's solution is to argue there is no justification...I'd ask Trudeau, what does Trump want? Is is unreasonable or not...if it is unreasonable, tell us why....because one thing about Trump, he is usually pretty darn clear about what he wants.

Canada and Mexico are not responsible for the people in the US who chose to use drugs. In fact, it's the United States job to keep illegal drugs and immigrants out of the US and they are doing a poor job of it and need someone else to blame. Mexico could retaliate in a way that could flood the US with illegal drugs and immigrants and refuse to repatriate its citizens back into Mexico. The rest of Central and South America could do the same in support of Mexico. Trump proudly stated that this is the greatest agreement in the history of the United States. Last week he wanted to know who in the US agreed to the terrible trade agreement. I don't know why the US government wants Canada. Logically speaking, it will be the bluest of blue states. Think of the consequences. Annexation could be the biggest of own-goals.

With these tariffs and lack of diplomacy with Ukraine we will probably see US Companies start moving to Canada, as well as foreign partners of US switching to Canada. Trump is too chaotic and disruptive, which is awful for any company wanting to grow in the US.
