A nation’s policy is and should be intended to serve its citizen’s best interest only. \nBut i get the general msg about Canada that you’re putting in this video and i 100% agree to that :)

What ever problems you showed in the video is only related to International Students. But at the same time when International students come to Canada to study not to settle. When CBSA always asked them how long is your study and what would you do after your studies are completed. Every student would tell them that they will go back to their country once their student work permit is finished. Then CBSA will allow you to enter Canada. Go tell them when you come to airport that you wanna stay here for ever they will kick you out right away. I don't know why students are protesting when they knew the rules for students are different from other categories. And it is changing every year. The problem is international students not the Canadian Govt. Indians know this is the easy way to get into Canada. Canada is a free country to everyone there is no discrimination . I have seen 50 year people from India coming to Canada for study but actually they want to settle here. Drugs problem is everywhere in the world. India also has druggists and mafias. Indian are in much better condition here than India. Fresh air, clean water, work and personal life balance, free health care, Freedom to live and work any where ...Canadian passport is Top 5 in the world. This video does a good job of giving an idea of problems in Canada for immigrants especially students. Thanks folks for your effort. Many people who came in last 5 years to study find it very difficult to get a good paying job and some have even gone back to India after burning around 50 to 75 thousand dollars for a 2 year masters degree.

I have lived and worked as a professional in Canada for over 50 years. I have been watching since last 20 years a rapid deterioration of social, civic and economic fabric of Canada, since the time they opened the immigration and flooded the country with all kinds of so-called 'refugees' from Mid-East and Punjab and using them for vote bank politics, legalizing marijuana by JT, the PM, the country has been going downhill and it needs a divine intervention to turn around.

I am so glad that this is getting talked about now. I have to pay for school this September and I still don't have a job. I have been applying to places for over a year at this point and I have heard absolutely nothing from any of them. I always suspect its because companies would rather pay 50% of a full salary to an immigrant as opposed to a full salary for a Canadian citizen, and to be fair, I don't blame them. If I didn't wanna lose money, I'd do it too, which is why its a completely ridiculous way to operate things! Once I get older, I'm getting out of Canada. Excellent vedio. Whatever information you have gives is absolutely true. I totally agree with you. Health care is not exactly free because people have to pay 40 to 50% tax. Jobs are not there. There are many other draw backs in Canada. \n\nUSA is more difficult than Canada. Nothing is free in USA.\n\nWe can go on and on with this discussion. \n\n\nWhat I will say is that in my personal opinion India is the best country to live in. There are many government hospitals which give free treatment. Government is providing free rations and houses.\n\nPlus in Dental college one can get free treatment to some extent. \n\nOverall one cannot compare the facilities available in India with any other country.

While many points in this video strike true, most are exaggareted or outdated. I would take this with a grain of salt. I live in Vancouver, make far less than six figures and purchased an appropriately sized home 4 years ago. It will become more difficult with a higher rate down the line, but I also don't expect to live above my means and maintain a status for the Jones' while covering my bills and growing wealth when I can. 50% of the issues people experience are self-inflicted, barring unavoidable health issues, etc. If an immigrant like me can do it, surely people who grew up here, who have family and maybe even a partner, can learn to navigate this market successfully.

I'm a born and raised Canadian, and jobs that I was previously able to live off of 2 years ago I am now on the brink of homelessness every single month of rent. Working those same jobs everyday in the lowest rent apartment I can find. I do 10 hour shifts most days retail and spending more than 50 dollars a month on food bounces my rent and negatives my account which makes me pay more fees on top of it. I cant afford a car, or anything for transportation. The wage I'm making now was the perfect amount for me 2 years ago to live comfortably by my standards. Now I'm going to be a homeless 24 year old Canadian that works their ass off every day and can't seem to find a better paying job regardless of how much I put myself out there... In the last 2 months I have lost a total of 16lbs because I can only eat so much on my budget. I am a hard working Canadian that just wants the luxury of being able to not stress about these things because I work so hard. But that seems to not matter.

I was really lucky to visit Toronto in 2000-2002 and practice some Portuguese and Italian. The first time, I came by train from Chicago and arrived at 1 AM. I was scared as I waited for the trolley on Dundas St. But to my surprise there was a young lady enjoying the late night and she even talked to me (something that wouldn't happen in Southern CA). I discovered that if was safe to walk until 2 AM in Toronto. It was really pleasant to explore Little Portugal, Chinatown and other neighborhoods. I remember that it hit the 30s with some humidity, but the reward was taking a bus to Niagara Falls at 50% off for being a student. However, I was sad to discover that the old transportation is gone, and prices have skyrocketed (food and hotels). It's not just Covid-19, but the corruption of thousands of politicians in NorthAmerica that have started wars and the flow of drugs and people. I would never think that Canada could change so drastically. But I still think that Toronto could be enjoyable ( what I really didn't like was the subway, since the stations are far away from important sites as opposed to Montréal that is so convenient). I still remember how Pearson airport was enjoyable to walk. But to see encampments like LA, SD or SF in Toronto is really sad. Hopefully, in the near future it gets cleaned up. You can't destroy what took decades to build and admire in a few years. Safety is always a concern in 2024, but Toronto is much better than CA.

They say they need scientists and engineers, meanwhile myself and my Canadian born friends with degrees are working labour jobs in factories that have a workforce that is 50% Indian. Even the Indians talk about going home because it is nearly impossible to scrape by at $20/hr.

Provincial governments will pay at least 50% of immigrant wages in most provinces and in Ontario and BC they will pay 75%. That's why fast food restaurants are now filled with Indians, we as Canadians are paying for it to happen. We have been betrayed.

As a punjabi Canadian who's parents came here over 50 years ago. Watching international students abuse things like food banks makes my blood boil beyond belief. One of the things I've always loved most about being Canadian is our reputation for being kind, caring, polite and helpful.\n\nIndia has a very different mindset, it's much more cutthroat and people are taught to find and abuse any and every advantage they can. When I was younger it was always really fun watching new families come here because the difference in mindset was so refreshing to them and it wasn't uncommon for them to want to very enthusiastically be a part of it.\n\nNow I see families come from India and they seem almost offended by the idea of wanting to contribute or help improve the communities and areas they live in. In the past they could see for themselves that mindset made things better for everyone, but because there's so much immigration now, they tend to move into areas where other new immigrants are also living and getting exploited by other slightly less recent immigrants. That cutthroat mentality is all they see and feel, everyone is looking to get something from them and give nothing back. So they do the same, and attempts to show them the things I love most about Canadians is perceived as just another hustle trying to take advantage of them.\n\nNobody is happy with this, nobody wins.

The government needs to focus on reducing insurance costs for cars and homes, and property taxes should be cut by 50%. Also, cities and towns should stop wasting money on unnecessary projects, and Canadian contractors shouldn't be charging double for the same projects as those in the states.

Indian's are saying they're too many indians here. Its not a secret. We're completely overrun. I like indian people mostly, they're hard working, they don't live off the system, non violent, and they're polite. I honestly feel badly for them. They are treated like garbage by schools (who are robbing them blind) and other Indians who are taking advantage of cheap and under the table labour. They could do with some respect for our laws regarding distracted driving as I've seen countless indian people texting and driving with their feet on the dash whilst operating an 18 wheeler on the highway..Not exactly what I'd call safe or considerate. If they learned how to drive, and %50 of them went somewhere else we'd be fine. They've completely taken Brampton and most of Toronto over. Its too much pressure on our housing and health care currently. We're bursting at the seams with indian people. It's out of control.

They have little to none concept of living in society. Im a canadian student, born here been here all my life. Well show my shock as I cant even get a low level entry level job because my city is 50 percent indian, and the indians took all the jobs. Everything is fragile you know. When you allow certain foreigners in a country and teach them to adapt to the culture, they get the best of living in a developed country by following their own personal beliefs. On the other hand, if you allow a huge amount of population at the same time from 3rd world countries, they become the majority, start doing politics, they don't adapt to new things, ultimately they will come up with extreme religious beliefs, their old culture, corruption, greed and can ultimately drag it down to a 2nd world country! Every country has more or less potential, the reason behind being so poor is connected to many reasons but at least 50% is because of corruption, their way of thinking, thus, mass immigration can never be a solution! In ON we are paying 28% taxes on wage if you earn less than 100k, we pay another 13% while shopping that adds to 41% in taxes. now to add property taxes to that it comes to almost 50% now with rent prices & cost of living it does not take an economist to find out why some left and lots are thinking to leave Canada.

Great job, very good report. I live in Mississauga and the city has changed a lot the past couple of years and the housing prices are unbelievable. Immigration will continue to be a part of Canada’s economical system, but the numbers should be reduced at least by 50% , in addition to put a cap on number of immigrants from certain countries and give the opportunity to ppl from other countries to immigrate. You can’t allow 50% of your immigrants come from one country, that is not acceptable
