I had exactly the same experiences in 2002 when I went(and came back) on PR to Canada. Getting into a proper paying job in your own profession is the most herculean task in itself. The necessity of a car due to extreme harsh weather most of the months and then initially affording only a basement with mostly indoor activities during non-summer months takes a huge toll on one’s mental well being. Most of the jobs are regulated in Canada so getting an equivalent clearance and compatibility for a job is no easy task at all otherwise you’ll end up doing only sundry manual help jobs around which too aren’t available easily. I found a lot of positivities and possibilities too in Canadian life but then be prepared to sacrifice a lot for many years and then maybe you realise you have a lot more to loose than gain! So as this blogger said Go to Canada first on say a tourist visa to friends or family, stay and spend some time and money too and then make a long term decision to come and stay forever or not. But in the meantime don’t quit your job or business back in India till you come to a final outcome?

I don't get why so many indians think foreign countries can change their lives. You are an average student soo instead of hustling in India by doing fresher jobs, you go to Canada for expensive education from dubious colleges in hopes of getting a job ?\nI say that if you are talented you can make big in foreign countries but if you know you are an average Joe then you are just wasting money and time in Canada. It would be less torturous for you to just hustle in entry level sales job in India than going to Canada.

I had migrated to Nz 3 months back and i gotta say its the exact opposite of whatever Canada has to offer . There is work life balance here, not much of pressure , the people are easy going and its turning out to be the best decision of my life .All the best to my brothers and sisters trying to make it big..

Filming in Public is a Crime especially when you film the police and show their tyrannical behavior. They will come for you and hunt you down and charge you and make up all kinds of lies try to financially destroy you throw you in jail. The list goes on there’s people that are called Auditors they go out and film these people to show transparency. Every last auditor in Canada has been charged and arrested and lied in financially despaired the list goes on just go ask the rise in the falls. We are fine as we are, there are less problems here who go around doing such illegal activities. All this is for those people who are earning crores by doing such work sitting in Canada. I wasn't born here but I've lived here now for 45 years and my god! This place is sadly going into a nose dive. Our Politicians don't realize how good this city and country is and they have ruined it over the years by having an obtuse outlook on the future of Toronto and this country. Crime rate is so high, cost of living is insane. No housing.Housing is suppose to be a fundamental human right and our politicians have made it into a pure luxury now. The other thing is wages have not reflected the cost of living in this country since 2000. Most do not earn a living wage here and its so disappointing to see. The Federal Gov wants to bring about a 1million more immigrants into Canada within a few years...Where would they live? Most are already living in tents in the streets. Its fine now but what happens when winter makes its entrance? From the Provincial Gov to Federal Gov this country is sadly run by idiots!

Honestly, I'm really impressed by this video I got a Canada visitor Visa since July and I have been discouraged by so many people that I can't get a job with it, that is a very difficult thing and what kills me most is that I used agent and the charged me a whole lots of millions and the painful part of it is I borrowed the money even to pay with interest and I just came across this video, please I will need a help on how to go about it I have skills like barbering of hair and shoe making also I just graduated so please I have been going through a lot I don't know if I should make this movement because I don't want to come back and put my family in this such a debt, how can I make it please help me I will really appreciate I'm so muchly depressed ?

If you are saving 1 lakhs per month which is possible in IT/software job then there is no point in going to Canada.\nIf company transfers you, then it makes sense. Otherwise it is foolish to go Canada. Canada govt. is taking million of immigrants and due to this real estate prices have gone up like 2-3 times. Your partner and you will have to work for atleast 20-25 years to pay the home loan.

90% of us live an hour from the border.. so it makes sense for us to use the social health care when we can. and if we REALLY need it. We can still go pay in the :USA.. My wife if from Mexico and when we have kids we are moving back to Canada so she gets paid $1400 a month or more to STAY home and take care of our children. once they are ready for school we are moving back to Mexico where we both want to be. Canada is just where we come when we need to make extra money with my job. Trudeau RUINED Canada beyond all repair. I can see a Neurologist in Mexico for $1500 pesos... $115CAD immediately. Canada that would be a solid 6 month process...1-2 months to see you family practician and then 3-6 months to hear back from a specialist....THEN another 1-2 month to go over results with your Doc again lol...its a joke. Doctors get paid everytime we swipe out health card.. so theres also a problem with them referring to their friends from school...rather than the BEST specialist for you.... first world problems..

I have a good friend who spent a good many years living and working in the US. He summed it up as being very similar in many ways, with some frustrating drawbacks, but overall it was far better in many ways. Don't beat yourself up. We might have a few things going for us, but those who have the will and determination to pull their weight have a far better shot in the US. \n\nRemember that. Americans get out of America what they put into it. Canadians get what they get out of Canada no matter what. If you like the feeling of the reward of hard work and perseverance, you're only limited in America by your own ambition. If you like the comfort and safety of a network of social systems, then Canada is the place to be. On the flip side, if you want to have the peace of mind that the government will take care of you if you can't take care of yourself, then don't go to the US. If you're ambitious and creative and want to work hard at making something of yourself, Canada will crush your hopes and dreams like a bug.

A lot of Canadians who do move to the US, do so for career development and advancement. My cousin moved to the US and works in IT. He makes like, 5x what he could staying in Canada. He, with his family, is staying and never plans to come back.\nAdditionally, I think the thing that Canadians appreciate about our health care is that we don't have to think abut it. We don't have to assume that giving birth or going to the doctor will cost and that the cost may have some variability. It jut makes it way less stressful, as health scares are stressful enough as they are. But it is true that availability is an issue. I'd say our quality of care isn't too far behind, but I'm not particularly knowledgeable on that.

I live in Toronto and I am not rich. I am regular person. \nIf you are an immigrant and especially if you are considered from visible minority group aka not white, DO NOT leave Toronto at all ! Work hard and make it work for you. I am sure the majority people from your coutires in Canada are located in Toronto and its close cities. If you chose to live outside this multicultural heaven called Toronto then expect to deal with deep racism. Yes people in Canada are rasicst althogh it is not openly like USA.\nIf you are into education and you want to do your degree, move to Montreal. Tuition fees in Montreal are way more cheaper than in Toronto or other parts of Canada. I lived in Montreal before and I went to university there. Montreal is great for education, aba rent are cheaper than Toronto but not for living there if you are visible immigrant. You will never feel you belong down there. Where as in Toronto, you will feel you belong to it within 30 mins max of you arruval. Toronto's motto are : you belong here and we have been waiting for you.\n62%of people in Toronto weren't born in Canada. You will find your community from your country in Toronto and the people are well established. Completely agree with you. I spent 6 years in Canada and quit. Both me and my husband are highly educated but had to end up with minimum wage jobs to begin with. Winters are brutal. 2013 we experienced minus 40 with snow storms !! And keeping urself PACKED in ur home for months is extremely depressing. Medical facility inspite of being free is a joke !! You are better off getting basic medicines from India. They want to fix everything with Tylenol, that too such low potency that even 20 pills will not make any difference. And just 1 crocin in India and you can run a marathon next day. Education too is pathetic. They need a calculator to add 5 +5 !! Here 6 yr old kids do mental mathematics on 4 figures in their heads !! No university in Canada can even come close to IIT'S, IIM'S and IISC ever. 12th std math and science here in India is probably taught to engineering degree students on Canada. Moreover only Asian kids like Indians, Koreans Chinese kids ever reach university level education the rest are dropouts and busy with sex and drugs and temporary jobs to fend for the same. Mind you there is a lot of racism in Canada. Most whites hate Asians as they think that we have 'snatched' away their jobs !! They don't like it when we end up buying own homes within 2 to 3 yrs of migrating. Grocery is expensive. Commercial dairy products are high on hormones and other chemicals. It's crazy how many women there have issues with their reproductive organs. Hormone related obesity, diabetes is rampant. As she said only if you go there thru a company on projects ect it's alright. Else there is no place like India in every aspect.

Its really bad in Canada right now. I can't visit any Gurudwara because all have turned into Khalistani haven. If you speak in favor of Bharat, they target you and even beat you up. Health care is very bad. I had severe tooth pain but did not get any support . I was asked to come after 4 months. I came back to India for a holiday and I can't convince myself to go back. Khalistanis are making it hell and even threatening Hindus. Govt is supporting them so there is no hope for future. Except for some big Canadian Universities, most are scam and are targeting Indian students. They know Indians want to migrate there. Been in Canada for approximately 25 years. I can say that the effect that Canada has on a legal immigrant is neither here nor there. If you can make lemonade out of any lemon you’re dealt, you will thrive in Canada (and anywhere else where your efforts are not overwhelmingly quashed by corruption, blatant racism or other forms of segregation). \n \nLynn, I was a lecturer in Kenya, went back to school here in Canada after wallowing in culture shock the first year, then circled back to teaching in college again after an arduous journey in school, but this time in a different field. \n \nAfter becoming a single mother of four kids, I had to also hustle on the side to build a small business empire along my life’s ladder. Partnership with God, goal clarity, the get-up-and-go, and relentlessness truly work. It isn’t the size of the dog but the fight in the dog that does it, regardless of where you live. \n \nThe starting point for a new immigrant can be very low due to the weather, unpreparedness and culture shock, but if you know that the only way is up, and are self-motivated, those challenges are soon behind you as the tests become testimonies. \n \nBy comparison people have more human rights here regardless of their status. The wheels of justice grind slow but they do grind fine. Women and children have equal rights with men. It the meds that you and/or your insurance pays for. Some medical equipments may be paid for by either or both the individual/insurance and the government depending on eligibility. \n \nBy and large, there’s cleanliness of common spaces. There’s also safety and relative peace. At least wherever I have lived, I can’t tell you how many times I forgot to lock my door with impunity. \n \nThere’s a lot more stressful work here in my opinion, but like you said Lynn, systems work a lot more efficiently and effectively. \n \nThe elephant in the room is the extra hard work that those living abroad must put in to fulfil expectations back home. I can't talk from a point of experience in Canada but from a point of experience in Kenya. Yes things are tough everywhere but I believe things are tuffer here in Kenya, well unless you have a good job, good business or money to invest. I have done of research about Canada, Germany, UK and even Finland. What I have learnt is that opportunities are there as opposed to Kenya. Here in Kenya it's doesn't matter if you have a skill, or papers getting a job is not easy and even harder is getting a good paying job. Most people makes less 10 CAdollars per day which today 1000 or 30 per month minimum wage in Canada is i guess 14.5 in the less expensive provinces. If you work 14 hours per \nDay which I believe possible you have about uko na 20k in ksh, pay tax of maybe 30% combined you have about 130 cad per day work for 25 days in a month you will have about 3250 net stay in most affordable place(hujaenda raha) you can get 1250 in low cost province (not Ontario or BC though here minimum wage iko juu), groceries and expenses budget 1000 per month you can save about 100k ksh pm, save in Cad for few years stay like a student on the budget but work like a donkey. Come back home in few years lets say 5 with save coins probably CAD will trading at 150 coz the hit shilling is taking mind-blowing. You will have 6m to invest any interest or forex gain use them to cover your vacation here in Kenya yes land in Diani you will have missed such weather, enda masai Mara (you deserve it), go visit your parents and most importantly find an investment opportunity you can do real estate but find ideal location but only if you have enough capital ya kujenga and then find someone professional to manage the construction not sending money to your relatives wanapiga sherehe nazo unatumiwa picha za mjengo za nyumba za wenyewe. Pia farming is underated buy a farm land in cheap area ukambani, laikipia, kajiado, taita etc at max 200k per acre 10 acres ni 2m borehole 1.5m with solar and pump. Development such as fenching and service quarters driplines 1m. 1.5 m is working capital ,use it for labour fertilizer, seeds and seedlings. Divide the farm into 5 parts along the fence panda miti ya eucalyptus, other parts do high value perennial cash crops with less management cost like 2 acres of avocado, 2 acres of pixes oranges, lime, the other 2 plant seasonal rotational plants you can even maize, cabbages io ingine do livestock of your choice. If you want low risk investment buy government bond less stress and you are sure government can never fail to repay their local currency bonds ata ikiwa bankrupt coz they can always print more money. Now rates are very high assuming you can get 10% rates with your 6m your will earn 600k risk free income. Your vacation is over, now go back to Canada and work like a donkey because you went there to work, not a vacation. I am currently living in Canada, but wanted to move to California to get a “higher pay” in my field. \nWhat’s holding me back is the healthcare in Canada. In my union, I get 100% insurance in Vision, Dental, Check-ups, Drug Prescription etc.. \nMind that I NEVER waited for months nor years to get any Health related appointments.\nIn the US, (My friends in the same field) says that their health insurances are not 100% covered unlike in Canada.\nBut, I’m also thinking “If I could get a higher pay, then I could pay for the remaining balance” \nWhat I’m scared of is, until when am I able to pay for that? the biggest challenge with most people is comfort, threiving abroad requires more than just one job. If you have gone to hustle please forget about comfort. 2ndly if you are going to canada make sure you have someone who is gonna shelter you for a few months as you stablize, or help you figure out your next step and also have a few bucks on you, otherwise you will die on the streets. And then once you find a job, please subsidize the costs, you can share an apartment with someone, cook your own food.\nlastly people should know that much as canada is a rich country, it also has poor people living there.....inclusive of beggers. I think you should just forget about the negative comments for the people who are not doing well....

People in Toronto are rude and soon this city will be like Detroit US not safe to be there .Very very expensive living for nothing special !I hate this city .All Canada is going down the hill not just Toronto .Governament should creat programs to make live attractive outside major cities so the new immigrants can spread and disparse all over the country that still empty ,not all fight for a studio to live in already crowded cities .

I moved to Toronto in 2021. I've wanted to live in the city and have finally bought my condo in the city of Toronto. I love the city, especially during the summer time. Toronto Summer is so much fun and a great place to be in Canada. I am sick of all the Toronto bashing the past couple months. Yes, there are a lot of problems and yes they're all really bad and need to get resolved. And in all honesty, Toronto is probably one of the better big cities to live in in Canada. Despite all the negativity, TTC violence hasn't really gone up on paper. A lot of aspects about Canada are still strong even among western countries. I've been to Vancouver and Montreal. And those are cities have a lot of problems and a lot of different problems than Toronto.\n\nThe reasons that she specified in her video are all valid and they all make sense. I just want to say that I'm sick of all the Canada bashing and all the Toronto bashing. Toronto is a great place. I'm going to be still living in this city as some years it's going to be down and it's going to come right back up again in another few years.

Ppl sell family assets like land thinking they'll recover all that money once they arrive in countries like Canada until reality kicks in on arrival with no working docs. Life is such a struggle in third countries to the extent that some ppl say that they'd rather suffer n die on the streets of countries like Canada than suffer in say Kenya! But we forget that streets of countries like Canada can be real brutal weatherwise esp in seasons like winter where ppl die of the extreme cold. This may not be the case on the African continent with conducive warm weather. The Arab world itself has extreme temps that can knock the isshh out of u! Basically, all countries have challenges..The $1M question is, which challenges can u tolerate as an individual? It is only u who can answer that question n not anybody else. Not even yo own mother of father can answer that 4u!! So, b4 u decide 2 move 2 a foreign country, look deep down inside yoself n ask yoself if ur up 2 the challenges ahead of u, n wether ur up 2 the task of running thru that diaspora gauntlet! You can't just get clips on tick tok and make a story that are very uninformed. How do you expect people who came a month ago as refugees to have a job? This does not happen in any country. That notion of going as an expert does not hold either in Canada. There are a lot of people that come here with a promise of a better life and the notion is that it’s instant. I want to confirm to you that it’s better life, but it’s not instant. You have to put in the work and prove your worth. You have to gain Canadian experience to get a decent job. Also be ready to go back to school and upgrade your skills. There are jobs here zinaitwa Trades. These are the jobs that we don’t value at home but pay amazingly well here. Construction, Electricians, Plumbers, Mechanics, Carpentry, Welding, Hairdressers, Tailors.. Those are very valued skills here- if you can invest in learning these trades but pia ukikuja hapa you have to convert your certs to Canadian ones by doing an exam or going back to school . If you are into office jobs, make sure you have market relevant skills that align to this country. Be ready to embrace the digital revolution and mpende hesabu. Accounting is very much valued here. The secret is be ready to start from the bottom, be ready to upgrade yourself, be ready to work like you’ve never worked before… You will make it eventually .. Mungu mbele! \nI am confirming that we are going through a recession here and as per the market trends, it’s only going to get worser until we get to a point of stabilization. The housing market is crazy, food costs and gas (fuel)costs are off the roof .. it’s not easy. So if you have a good job in Kenya, hold onto it for now until things get better ( due diligence /research) .. Make sure you have the right visa that allows you to work here. I live in Canada as a Kenyan and I have been here for sometime .I work as a HR/Payroll Specialist also certified in the field. The problem is not Canada , Canada is a very good county which I love and I am gland God gave me the Opportunity to Come and settle here with my family.. The problem with some people coming here is lacking of knowledge how Canada works .It’s system is very far from how things work in Dubai or Gulf countries. A lot people are thinking than you can just come and get any job even without proper papers or you can earn a lot of money and then build wealth quickly. Which is A BIG FAT LIE. The tax in Canada keeps you humble. That is how Canada funds it's high end life many admire and want to be part of. The more you work in Canada the more tax you pay and many don't know this, and it is one of the main reasons why a lot of people start to regrets, because they realize there effort of working hard is not paying as they hoped. Another thing in Canada is next to impossible to get jobs or rent a place without proper paper work, like work permit, It is not like USA where you can use someone else papers to work. the The main available jobs , easy to get , don’t pay much. And also the cost of living is very high in some provinces like Ontario and BC. They hardly recognize credentials from outside unless you came through a job offer. Also because a lot of things in Canada are paid by the government through taxes, like health care, education. Unless you are tax paper with (and I repeat) Paper work, you cant access the benefit, including thee free food available for the needy. \nMany people forget Canada is looking for people to work for them. Not to grow rich and leave. The system is meant to keep you working. Unless you understand how a system of a country works, one will continue to blame it. Let people get well informed and well educated first , before they jump in the river. And it’s not Canada a lone , but any country in the world. Also a lot of these media post about Canada are misleading. And there is also another trap called debt, a lot of people once they getting working, rush to but things they cant afford and it becomes a stress instead of a blessings.\nIf you want to live well and enjoy Canada . One of the top thing to do is, go back to school once you enter in it, get a good education and you will get a good job. Also give yourself time to adjust. REMEMBER you are starting from square one. You are not continuing where you left in Kenya or in the country you get from. Also, the general social climate is not as friendly as those in USA for example. Not many people are willing to help for free. The most jobs advertised in Canada are the lower end paying jobs, which a lot of people pay a lot of money to come for, just to realize the job they left behind was far much better than this, but no one told them that, just because it said $18 hrs and you converted it to your country and looked a lot, doesnt mean it carries the same wait once you earn in from here. The living expense are very different. The reality is, it is not where you are , but whom you are and determination knows no barrier. Anyone who will trust God for help, work hard/smart and be patience in life, they will make. It might take longer than they expect, but they will get their eventually.

1. Canada's immigration is primarily skilled labour. Non- skilled labour is imported mostly from the Carribean countries especially Jamaica and you have to leave every year and come back in the next. So, that can be disruptive, but I've met Jamaican's who've been on those programs and done well as well as those who haven't.\n2. If you come to Canada illegally utakipata. Be prepared to hustle for long.\n3. Since Covid everything has become very expensive especially housing. \n4. The videos you've shown of people sleeping outside is because of an increase in the influx of refugees wanting to come to Canada. Refugee shelters are allocated money in the budget for what the Govt estimates will be the number of refugees they'll take in, but there's been an influx lately.\n- A point to note though, ALL refugees Canada received from Ukraine had jobs within 2 months. Why? very skilled labour.\n- Canada's refugee policy is much more lenient than in the US and thus most refugees have been coming to Canada even from the US. The US ones have since been blocked by an agreement signed by both countries.\n5. Are there jobs in Canada? YES, but they require certain skills. The good thing is that once you get one, its the beggining of good fortunes.\n6. If you have skilled qualifications, be prepared to start at a lower level than you are used to and claw your way up. Just don't expect to start where you left off. A Nigerian friend of mine who had performed several surgeries in Nigeria could not be hired until he went back to get certified here in Canada. He has since joined the medical field after going back to school.\n\nAll in all, research, research, research before you make any move.

All I can say after 12+ years in Germany ?? ( just like I always tell people on my channel), people have to learn and accept that much as there are opportunities in first world nations, you must work hard and strategically ( integrate, acquire knowledge) for you to be able to make it.\n2-As regards Canada just like in Europe, the countries are overwhelmed especially as a result of the Corona pandemic and inflation.\n3-If you relocate illegally, you are definitely going to have it very rough!\n\nUnfortunately people are being scammed because they are desperate and ignorant! My humble opinion: this is one guy, whose story hasn't even been confirmed yet. People need to not jump into conclusions. I know a Kenyan in Canada doing care jobs and making close to 10k per day when you include overtime. Which job in kenya (formal or informal) is going to pay you even 5k per day without selling your soul to the devil? Once I see scientific research from a reputable source with clear evidence and data that moving to Canada for work is a bad idea, I'll be convinced.

I have lived in Canada since 2000. My dream is to go back to Kenya and live there. We lived in Toronto for ten years and it wasn't easy for our parents to make ends meet. I moved to Alberta in 2011 and I am so happy that I moved here when I did. We live well. My husband and I are into trades and we thank God for taking good care of our family. It is getting harder here since Trudeau became the prime minister. Food, gas, clothes. housing everything has gone up and you need a good job and have legit papers. Alot of jobs in Canada but it's almost impossible to change a visit visa to work permit .most Kenyans are going to Canada with visit visas hence can't get work and are suffering..if your going to Canada make sure you apply for skilled jobs such as nursing and get the job first before travelling.

Lynn the problem is people don’t make their own research. Even if you show this, people are going to still go there Lynn. Just like the girls who go to the the Arabic countries even when they see what happens to the girls who go there. People are desperate and just hope for the best I guess. But all countries are struggling after the pandemic ? and some are also struggling with the people coming in illegally with boats. Europe and the USA are struggling with thousands of people coming in daily, which means the governments have to support all these people before their cases are being worked on. So they are working hard to send people back that are not coming from a country with war. Also means the jobs that don’t demand high education are on very competitive. Canada and some of the developed countries only want highly educated people with skills. Who can start working right away and contribute to the society of course through paying taxes and taking care of their families. But the struggle is real.

I always say, if you can make it work back home please consider saying home. I dont understand why one would part with millions to go to canada, you can make alot of money back home with such capital

Canadians are smart with procedures, regulations, and laws. Their red tape will make even a qualified doctor give up and turn to be a taxi driver. There is no way you can work in canada without the right papers. People spend years repeating education they completed so as to get certified to work. People may be silent, but canada is one of the most expensive countries on earth. I got a rude shock when I went visiting, and I can assure you to burn your fingers if you go there and assume it's like the USA where you can work jini ya mwamba. (Do research ? make sure it’s a legal company), UNDERSTAND YOUR CONTRACT before you choose to travel. Please this is very important. You can seek deep information about what you are going to do, information is everywhere guys. SEEK information. I think it's a matter of where someone's blessings are. We have people who go there and are successful and probably live there, we have those who go there maybe for further studies but end up working in their home countries. We have others who don't go there at all they make it in life in their respective countries. Canada is going down.The government build that economy around housing. Most people from China bought so much of those houses.They don't live in those houses,it's a way of most Chinese millionaires hid their cash because the government in China can confiscate your money and property at any time if you get on the wrong side of the government. US is far better for individuals who wants to grow and work on themselves. I lived in US for 2 years and I got the best education learned a lot and met one of the most ambitious people. I always was motivated to do more. US boosted my education and career. Unfortunately I couldn’t stay there due to immigration issues. I moved to Canada and I am here for almost 5 years now and I am still struggling just to make ends meet. Every day I am looking for ways to get out of here back to US or elsewhere. Legalization of drugs, prohibitably expensive housing, poor access to health care, lack of availability of well paying jobs, massive intake of immigrants, overtaxation and fewer businesses opportunities. Canada was great place to live back in 1990s and early 2000s. Everything is going downhill after 2018. Immediately they need to fix immigration, taxation, healthcare, housing, drugs, and support small businesses.Else, Canada will continue to be the place of broken dreams.
