I Lived in Vancouver, Canada for about 8 years and decided to return to India in Aug 2023. I've been happy ever since. All the problems stated in the video are all 100% true, and were the main reasons why I decided to come back. I felt extremely insecure there.

I have been in Canada since 2015, I always felt it was best place to be in. I got my citizenship in 2021. Things went downhill so fast, now I’m thinking to move back to India. Taxes are insane, cost of living has gone up so much you can barely afford a decent meal. Bigger cities is filled with uneducated morons from all over world, drug problems, healthcare is a joke - they planned for a million immigrants without thinking it will burden existing healthcare with no doctors and enough nurses. Neurologist appointment is 3 years waiting time - it’s not the same Canada it was 10 years ago.

I am super happy that you guys made video on this , stating facts and figures which are completely true, I am student living in Canada, I came from India last year to have change from my routine , and I can say I have faced all most all the issues raised in the video, I do feel that Canada isn’t the problem in my life but it does adds up in my struggle and I would not recommend anyone to come in Canada without knowing the drawbacks, at the same time I don’t feel like it’s the worst country to stay in but , but living here is not sustainable for longer period of time.

Whenever people ask me what it's like living in Canada, I say we pay Switzerland prices but get India quality of living.

What ever problems you showed in the video is only related to International Students. But at the same time when International students come to Canada to study not to settle. When CBSA always asked them how long is your study and what would you do after your studies are completed. Every student would tell them that they will go back to their country once their student work permit is finished. Then CBSA will allow you to enter Canada. Go tell them when you come to airport that you wanna stay here for ever they will kick you out right away. I don't know why students are protesting when they knew the rules for students are different from other categories. And it is changing every year. The problem is international students not the Canadian Govt. Indians know this is the easy way to get into Canada. Canada is a free country to everyone there is no discrimination . I have seen 50 year people from India coming to Canada for study but actually they want to settle here. Drugs problem is everywhere in the world. India also has druggists and mafias. Indian are in much better condition here than India. Fresh air, clean water, work and personal life balance, free health care, Freedom to live and work any where ...Canadian passport is Top 5 in the world. India don't come close to Canada. so please don't mislead people on the you tube

What's the value of a human life in india. You don't have footpaths to walk, cars will never let you cross the road. There is no pollution free air to breathe. Only 10 percent of indians can afford car. More than 70 percent of Indians live in poverty. You talk about excellent hospitals in India, but that's only for the rich and middle class people who can afford it. Have you seen the state of affairs of government owned hospitals?. Also let's talk about work life balance, India has one of the worst work life balance. Is this the sort of life you want to live. Canada might have issues but every country has issues. And talking about buying a house, houses are not affordable to buy by a common man in metro cities. You think a common man can afford houses worth 1 cr and above? Due to limited population, the doctors often have limited experience in diagnosis of a problem! Honestly I lived in India and lived here for quite a few years ...and say both countries have good and bad; but if one has strong monthly income 80k+, better to live in India given the progress over the 10+ years!

I have been in Canada for past 10 years. Life have changed a lot since then. Standard of living has come down. Rent and mortgages increased. Job lay offs. Higher grocery rates and everything have gone up. It’s so hard to survive here. I had a severe sprain in my knee and I could not walk at all. I got MRI appointment 1 year after I went to doctor. This was the worst thing I experienced. My daughter was born very micro premature, doctors took good care of her and she survived here in Canada. We paid 0 dollars. In India the treatment would have costed close to 1 crore or I can say there is no specialized treatments in India for such micro premature babies. I’m thankful to Canada in this case. I have seen best and worst. So I’m neutral here. But I strongly suggest students not to come to Canada at this moment. This country does not have enough jobs, no proper education, no standard of living now

Some facts are true but honestly its not that bad.. people do qualify for mortgages with 80k income as well.. may be a smaller house.. and the point where they mention we will pay debt for the rest of our life think of the time when our parents took loan to build houses in india and they paid a debt as well. It is because any first generation will have a struggle in any new place or country.since we were born in families where house was not a problem in india we think its easy. May be just move to a different city like move to Delhi from punjab and buy a home there. Can a youg guy in his 30’s take a loan from bank in india and make those big EMi’s in india which is about 30 to 50k a month in india.? We lived 10 years in canada..my wife got health issue due to allergies..however the Doctors in canada couldn't diagnose it properly n no treatment was given...gradually we tried going to emergency and it 6hrs of waitinng time and after that they simply did only blood test , then said everything is good.....but they did nt find what the issue is...we got frustrated for 3 months and my wife health was ruined in 3 months, finally we took decision to come back to india for treatment , on landing day only we went to Hyd Care hospitAl ..all tests done, found the issue.. got treatment in 1 day...alternatively we took Ayurvedic treatment..my wife is doing fine now....those 3 months we saw hell..my wife went almost into deppression....now i moved my family to India...

There are problems for sure. I feel India also has its challenges. God save if anyone gets entangled in any judicial cases there. I have seen it in my family, how one false case against you can cost you your life. No place is perfect. I live in Toronto and it is bad, but I will still stay here over India where things only work for rich and powerful.. before abusing me, pray that u never land it up in any bad fake situation

I honestly feel like if this kind of thing continues, North America is going to end up as a new India in terms of overpopulation. the more population there is the harder it will be to provide food. the harder it is to provide food, sustainability will sink and there will be a situation that is nearly uncontrollable, more and more people will be unhappy, The complexity in how prices are rising with inflation of food and housing is bad enough. Imagine this scenario too though, imagine a time where there are so many people that do need hospital assistance, and the waiting rooms are beyond filled. the lack of space, the lack of medical attention for people because there are too many people and not enough doctors in the first place anyway. We must not forget, the amount of jobs to person ratio in existence and the new difficulty factor to get an entry level job these days compared to some 20 years ago. Some jobs such as cashiers are being replaced by self serving stations, so that reduces jobs, even if it doesn't pay all that much, it is something to help if someone is living with family and might only be able to find that for starters until they find something better paying, at least it gives them work experience. The facts have to be looked at in what is happening in many aspects, but there are a hell of a lot of opinionated people that seem to be just fine with the situation, maybe because they themselves are in a sweet position, in a sweet spot and are supported big time to where some others are struggling medically and financially.

Agreed with all your points and thanks for sharing. But honestly, I fail to understand two points here. 1. People living in Canada and commenting that it is true and they are baffled with this whole situations, when exactly you are coming back to India? People will tell you that they want to come back but no one will. It is because those who actually left for Canada in order to have a better lifestyle are still having a better lifestyle in Canada and they will never return back (atleast in the near future). They left for Canada citing the reasons that India is polluted and they are toured based on religion (you know exactly whom I am talking about) but whatever the case is...they are still not coming back. 2. No country is perfect, I agree that Canada has its own problems to deal with but then why Indians are leaving for US, UK and Australia where racisms and cost of living high too? It is because they have issues with India too and those who have issues with a well diverse and prospered country like India, will have problems in other country as well. Everything that's being said in this video is so true....my elder sister lived in canada from 2012 to 2022 and she has witnessed declining of that country....health-care is big issue....housing has become expensive.....too much of inflation....she had to travel to india in order to get her knee surgery done as waiting time was 120 weeks something....finally she moved back despite having PR and living happily in Mumbai eversince

I lived in Toronto from 2016 to 2019 and worked for a big product MNC. Had to return to India in 2019 due to ill health of father. Had a great time with good salary , great teammates and good food. Only problem back then was the hospital waiting time in GTA area and the ridiculous cost of Dental. However my friends who are still there are telling me that it is not like the old days. Rents have risen exponentially but salaries have not kept pace and with recent immigration increase there is a big load on job market and healthcare services. Worst now is the waiting time for a general physician in Toronto area.

I really like your videos abhi & niyu however this video is not showing the full reality. Every country has its goods & bads and same goes with Canada. I have lived in Canada for 4 years since 2004 and some problems may have increased, but that doesnt make it such a bad place to live or immigrate too. Drugs is a choice and the percentage should be compared to India as well then.\nYes, there is significant wait for doctors but its not what you showed in video and if you want to expedite, private system is a choice you can take same as india. \nIf you work hard & save, you can definitely afford to buy a house, same as India.\nI love India but that does not mean I close my eyes for any good things outside of that country.

Settled really well but since last few years we’ve noticed a lot of crime drugs and Canada became culturally insignificant place to live. Lately Khalistani movement have become more frequent on the streets. The schools are focusing more on LGBTQ and sex education and there is not much other education provided in the schools Finally we decided to move back to India after a lot of discussion with parents and friends and we moved back to India last June. After spending a month in India (Ahmedabad, Gujarat) I feel so secured for my family and kids.\n\nMe and my wife are pharmacists, we have witnessed heath care very closely. we’ve seen a lot of patients died due to not getting heart surgeries on time . Knee replacement has become almost impossible due to a long wait times and patients are badly suffering with pain. Some hospitals had to close down on weekends as no doctors are available, there are no enough beds so patients are being treated on hallways, The wait times in Emergency Departments is so long…\n\nYou should have talked about schools, education policies are not so good till 10th standard they are only focusing on arts, music, drawings, basic maths, sex and LGBTQ. The sex education is compulsory from 5th standard (It was optional before)

Canada is pretty banged up by all immigrants, while living there I met a couple who came from India by spending 60 lakhs and were not even able to properly talk in English all they did was spend money forged some documents and came directly as permanent residents!

All the points mentioned in this video are 100% true. I live in Vancouver, and I'm an international student I really wish I knew the truth about this country before. There is no proper education, too. Everything is self-study and assignments with no campus placements. You won't get good professors in your universities because they are overbooked for the semester, and then you are left with no option but to settle for whoever you get. There's also a lot of exploitation by the desi employers who think they are the king of the world you have to do everything they say so that you don't be jobless all your work experience from India does not count here which means you won't get a decent job and even an intern requires experience of 2-3 years with base pay. The only suggestion I would like to give to the people who are planning to come here is to THINK AGAIN, do your research AGAIN. We cannot undo our years lost, BUT YOU STILL HAVE TIME.

Hello, I live in BC, Canada. Canada is currently in a very rough state, and I can only hope things will improve soon. One of the biggest issues is the rampant, uncontrolled immigration. The government invited a flood of people into the country without having the necessary infrastructure in place—jobs, healthcare, housing—to support them. Now they're trying to cap immigration, hoping for a turnaround, but it's like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.\n\nCanada's drug and crime policies are an absolute joke. I also have an Instagram account where many students ask me about studying in Canada. I always tell them that if they're doing well in India, they should stay there. The problem isn't just with India's education system—it's with the unrealistic mindset of people wanting to come to Canada.\n\nWe see students desperately going from one store to another, begging for jobs that simply aren't there. Some even sell their land or property, especially in Punjab, thinking they'll find a better life here. But right now, it's just not worth it. When I advise others, they think we're living the dream in Canada while trying to stop them from coming. I moved to Canada 12 years ago, and the country has changed beyond recognition.

They all immigrate to PEI because it is the quickest way to seek citizenship in the country, as soon as they gain it they move to Ontario. I have met many wonderful people from India through work and because of our government choosing to allow so many people over here without providing proper housing for not only the new immigrants, but also for our own native born citizens, there is nothing available at any decent price for young people like myself who want to move out from their parents homes. It's also causing a lot of people to be racist towards Indians when the fault truly lies in our government. And because we are allowing so many people over here without proper background checks and things such as that we are also allowing people over here that could pose a threat to women or others. I had a cab driver last week (who was from India) who tried to hit on me and told me he left India because he was getting into too many physical fights over in India and also told me he had gotten into physical fights with some of his customers as well. It was scary for me as a woman to be in a car with that man who was taking me to my home. The government needs to do better for us. We feel alone and ignored when it comes to this. The greed pushing this stupid, and not properly thought out, immigration policy needs to be put to an end so that the people who have lived here their whole lives can get a chance at life.

In real everthing was cleared and legit but they were not want to handed a realy small document. \nTwo days ago i arrange a guy he charge Rs25000 and next day evening they handed the document. I live in Winnipeg for last 5 years now. I can agree with all the problems as stated. I feel India is much more safer than Canada. I know it because a friend of mine was stabbed in stomach with knife because he didn't have any drugs on him.

The dark side highlighted in this video is not only true for Canada but other countries like USA, Australia, UK as well. If the public healthcare is broken then citizens can choose for private healthcare insurance just like in India,many employers cover this insurance, so that you don’t have to spend out of pocket. All these countries are facing a cost of living crisis. The message here should be to choose wisely if you want to immigrate abroad for the right reasons. Canada has always been a peaceful, prosperous, progressive and a good governance oriented nation. In the recent decade, too much of woke, radical left wing ideology has penetrated into policy and public institutions that have led to Canada’s current day crisis. \n\n2. This country has always welcomed talented immigrants who are willing to integrate with the Canadian society, embrace its values, traditions and culture. However, in the last 10 years, too many refugees and reckless mass immigration has put an incredible pressure on the economy, infrastructure and social cohesion. \n\n3. The political leadership has allowed reckless mass immigration without caring to boost the economy/infrastructure to handle the volume and hence the sorry state of affairs. \n\n4. Too many immigration consultants of Indian origin engage in outright VISA frauds (yes, this is unfortunately true) leading to ppl coming in as a tourist and then seeking asylum or converting their visa into a student visa (55 year olds from Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat coming here as students).\n\n5. A significant chunk of people coming from India (esp. Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat) seeking a permanent residency in Canada are using student visas as a back door to claim eligibility for PR/citizenship. This is downright abusive and was never intended to be used like this. This has fueled a fake college diploma industry into Canada where “2-room” colleges have sprung up along the highways giving out fake diplomas and certifications for easy cash. Thus, the students, the immigration consultants and the fake diploma issuing colleges are all getting benefited from this scam. Unlike the past, the recent batch of immigrants in the last 3 years or so, make no effort at all to integrate into Canadian society and abuse the system, create law and order problem, drive recklessly, talk loudly in public spaces, litter everywhere, cross railway tracks like they do in India, steal liquor from stores, shamelessly collect food from food banks (as a way to save on groceries) that are meant for the elderly, disabled or those that are in utter poverty. Immigrants and temporary visitors from India have some soul searching to do as well.

The more I watch this video I feel how ridiculously wrong this video is!! Housing is not that unaffordable in Canada. That is not ground reality again. This video is not at all well-researched. I see such propaganda against Canada in this video! I have seen multitude amount of Indians coming in the past 5years and living a very good life. They touch education and talk about the high quality education but do not expand - education is really top notch here. And intense drug problem is in India too! I do agree Canada is not perfect anymore but it is not unliveable!! Also only 10% of population able to take mortgage is very very wrong and false information. Indians and non-Indians have been moving in droves from USA as they cannot afford houses in US but can easily in Canada. The only thing I will agree with in this video is increase in drug problem but it is not horrible or as intense as shown in the clips of this video.\nSo many points to counter but if they did not do a thorough research before making the video - then there is no scope of discussion.

I live in Montreal and everything said in the video is ? truth! Education in Canada is no longer worth it and I am seriously considering coming back to India.

It's a hub of car stealing. I agree... I've been living in canada since 2018. Pathetic hospital service, education is also not up to mark, basic food is more expensive than India, no jobs, housing is unaffordable, lots of stealing, etc. I am telling this because I have seen this and it's real.
