While no country can afford the flood of immgrants both skilled and unskilled ,its also a reflectionon the country thats not able to utilise its human resource!its a pity that canada geographically big country has no visionaries to utilise this cheap human resource to build infrastru ture and expand its power itilising the oppurtunity of this valuable resource !

Well Indians go to Canada to work. They dont start fights or cause problems. If they are all living in one area what’s the problem? They are here in the UAE as well and live more or less in a community. Does not mean they don’t integrate. I have cousins in Ontario who have married non Indians. It’s the governments fault for bringing in so many people and not providing adequate housing. These people come in with whatever they have and then struggle to make ends meet and then have to leave if they can’t afford it anymore so it’s bad both ways.

❤❤Prime Minister Trudeau is absolutely winning. Canada economy ranks 3rd fastest growth in G7 countries 2024, it set to beat peer countries in 2025. Canada has the 1st strongest budget balance rankings among the G20 countries 2023 and 2024 will be more better. Inflation rate was 2.5 %, interest rate is cut to 4.25 %, housing affordability is improving now, he will help 400,000 kids for National school food program, He will build 4 million homes by 2031. We are better off.

Canada is a large country but only such much land where we can build and we are now starting to build on our bread basket land.We can't afford to import all our food and can only stack people so high.Real estate and rent is out of reach for most, that's why people are on the streets.Generational\nCanadians first no matter race.

Hardworking tax paying Canadians can no longer afford to support mass immigration. They need to stay in their own country and fix what they don't like about it!

I recently worked in a fast food restaurant owned by a foreign national, to begin with there was about a half and half mix between the foreign students and Canadians, it was well run, nice place to work and we pretty much got along, suddenly the owner started advertising for help only in his own language newspaper, as the usual turnover took place all the new hires were of his nationality, students who were limited to 20 hours per week wound up working more hours than the full time workers which in my books left me wondering how much studying they were getting in, Covid hit, I asked the boss if he was going to sign up for getting us paid instead of laying us off, he said he wasn't eligible for that program and laid us off, after he laid us off he applied for and got on the program, suddenly names the Canadian supervisor had never seen working for us appeared on the payroll and mysteriously when we got back to normal and got called back they never did appear in our restaurant. I'm not a racist, have always loved working with other nationalities, but rules are there for a reason and need to be enforced, a lot of folks are taking advantage of our lax enforcement. If you want to work in Canada you should apply for the permit before you come, if you come as a student you need to be a student, if you come as a refugee you should declare that status before you get on a plane. When we have people living on the streets and in cars because housing is not affordable we need to question how many folks we are bringing in.

In Vancouver, the home prices are skyrocketing, the personal taxes are almost half the income, the people are too busy to work to mingle. I don't like the thought that people can do supported drug use freely. It's beyond me to understand that. Why would a governemnt provide drugs for addicts in the guise of harm reduction? I was in Hastings 3 weeks ago and I saw the crackheads just blatantly doing drugs in the streets. A lot of used up needles are on the ground. There is a market of stolen stuff. It is quite scary to walk around. My son don't like it here even when he is born here. The kids are becoming cynical and angry for no reason. A lot just bully for fun. Prostitution is legal and rampant, you would think the young pretty girls are innocent but a lot are actually sugar babies. I'm in the medical field but I don't support euthanasia. I'm quite open-minded but not to the point of loosing my morals just because Canada is allowing it. It is also getting saturated with races with various beliefs. While I don't mind them, I worry that the tensions & clashes may become too close for comfort. In short, I think the country is becoming too expensive & liberated to raise a young imppresionable child in. Yes, we are also leaving Canada for an affordable, safer, more fun & happy place. It doesn't matter if it is not as progressive as Canada for as long as there is better humanity in the place...

I’m too poor to afford college or uni and I can’t even find a job at Walmart or McDonald’s because of the immigration. Have been looking for work over 2 years now I just turned 20 and I’m gonna be on the street by the end of November if I don’t get one but oh well they just keep pouring in by the 100s of thousands getting hired at every single corner in the gta.

election is coming up in canada. canadians do not approve of bringing people n when we have no where to house them and cannot afford to support them when we cannot support canadians. it is unfair to everyone. and we have a legal immigration system so apply dont come sliding in the back door.
2024-09-04 0
i feel so trapped in Canada, theres nowhere else to go and nothing is affordable.
2024-09-04 0
Canadians are fed up with supporting people from other countries when we can't afford to live for ourselves. For the first time ever, Canada's talking about mass deportation being enforced.
2024-09-04 0
For a country the size of Canada only 40,000,000 people, they can't afford to deport anybody... ???
2024-09-04 0
No more immigration until every skilled labor can afford a house with hard work.
2024-09-04 0
In my opinion, a housing market crash is imminent due to the high number of individuals who purchased homes above the asking price despite the low interest rates. These buyers find themselves in precarious situations as housing prices decline, leaving them without any equity. If they become unable to afford their homes, foreclosure becomes a likely outcome. Even attempting to sell would not yield any profits. This scenario is expected to impact a significant number of people, particularly in light of the anticipated surge in layoffs and the rapid increase in the cost of living.

The people that can't afford to live are the ones voting for this...

Canadians cant afford food or shelter so how can we afford foreigners to take from us. Remember they are taking away from children and families that live here they have no options, foreigners have their own countries.
2024-09-04 0
Canada economy is failing they can't afford more immigrant here who could loopholes in system. It's. Not racist it called survival for Canadian. No other country takes immigrants Australia you need work permit and return ticket. Sorry where maxed out
2024-09-04 0
Time to move on I guess. Canada is rated quite highly in terms of places to live, the reason so many people want to immigrate here. Years ago vacation meant a car trip probably a few hundred kilometers from home, and that's only if mom or dad could afford it. Now if people can't go on a tropical vacation 3 times a year they cry. We had one car, not 2 or 3 fully optioned like today. Good luck on finding somewhere better, and make room for people who want to be here.

Deport the students first living in rooming houses in Brampton, they are messing up the neighborhoods by just existing. That way these Indians wont be buying up properties they really can't afford just to rent them out and to the detriment of their neighbors
2024-09-04 0
If unemployment continues to rise, housing is not affordable, the cost of living is constantly rising, it is NOT going to be a better life.
2024-09-03 0
me self I am Canadian citizen long time but people leaving negative comments these guys are poor hard working class kids they can't afford the corruption in Canadian immigration system where they can buy LMIA fake pay roll fake job letter fake work experince under Trudeau Canada became worst than Nigeria you can give kick back can get driving licence one who are rich they already bought their PR because in Canada money talks

The way these anchors speak. ?Drama actresses. Let’s entice our students to get motivated again. Universities need to CHILL. They should know all changes take time to smooth out. I’d rather afford to live somewhere than worry about the wealthy university’s profit margins.
2024-09-03 0
At the least, international students should not be allowed to work here. If they really came to study in Canada, thry better study and do not go to Food banks and collect free ration or work in Tim Hortons to make money. If they came to canada as students it means they hail from filthy-rich families otherwise how can they afford? If it is so, why do they have to work here? Local students are not getting jobs. Especially, PNJBS & other INDNS have become a MENCE to canadian economy.

Nobody mentioned the brutal cold weather. I got my university degree in computer science then I worked for 25 years. I am now financially independent. I live like a king in a much more affordable country with nice weather.

This is ridiculous. The majority of the homeless are homeless because they don't want to work the jobs. As a greenhouse manager, the local people don't want to work the jobs that the foreign workers work which is why we are required to bring them in in the first place. I have had many local workers try working in the greenhouse only to quit within weeks because they couldn't handle the work or even the heat that is required. So how are we supposed to depend on local people to do the work? The would be a worker turnover every 3 - 6 weeks. With this program we can bring in people who WANT to do the work because its a better opportunity for them than what they have back home. This is NOT the way to fix the homeless problem. High rent, high taxes and high economic standards are the cause of eat. People cant AFFORD to buy food, pay for living costs and even survive in todays society. This foreign worker programs ALLOWS us to get the work done. \n\nForeign workers brought in on the SAWP program or even low skill program aren't stealing job, they are doing the work that Canadians don't WANT to do as they can't handle it or even believe it's beneath them. Todays youth will never do the work that these people do for us. I respect the work that they do. I would love ANYBODY in the comments below to come to my farm in the middle of summer and spend 8 - 10 hours under the sun for a week and then see what their opinion is.

How did Maxime afford the house he bought in the Caribbean?\nWas it the donations that bought it?
2024-09-03 0
We are already 3rd world.\n#3 fruits and vegetables, the protesting, immigration, people living in boxes, tent cities, can't afford anything other than air.\nA prime minister that is a dick puppet to a German.\nAll we are missing is the take down of a political leader and the U.S. flying over dropping food.
2024-09-03 0
We ARE a third-world nation. Millions using food banks, no jobs for youth, no affordable housing, crapping in the streets and beaches, civil unrest, racial division. What part of that isn't third-world.

This guy makes his living helping foreign workers come to Canada. Of course he thinks limiting them is a bad idea, he stands to lose some clients which means he won't have as much money for next year's new BMW and whatever options he wants. I strongly support limiting the influx of cheap foreign labour into Canada. It's so bad that almost no Canadian can afford to work at a minimum wage (or less) job. We want jobs for Canadians, and the same goes for housing. This guy is working against Canadians.
2024-09-03 0
Okay... what about the foreign investors? We don't have a housing issue. There are condos popping up left and right. The issue is the affordability of these housing projects. That's what is going to stop 8 people from living in 2 bedrooms. Not limiting foreign workers who are doing jobs Canadians don't even want.

As what experienced, i knew so much international students from India, Nepal who are students here, some work with them having a lot of issues now. Not enough money to pay their tuition/rent/food. As when they enter, parents support them and after months or a year , they stop sending money. It affects student as can’t really afford to support themselves, having hard time to find job as there are limit to their work hours. It will not pay off their bill entirely. It end up looking for cash job everywhere. There is no much cash job anymore. \n\nGovernment should take action to this!!! \n\nLucky those who came years ago as they were not much international students as to compare today. \n\nI feel this students but government keep bringing them to Canada without checking this situation…. Unemployment is real!!!
2024-09-03 0
Canadians would accept these jobs, but they pay so poorly they cannot afford too!
2024-09-03 0
This must be a rhetorical question, right? Everybody knows why, but most people can't afford to say it ?
2024-09-03 0
Because we can't even afford to live in the country we were born

THE U.S CAN NOT AFFORD TO TAKE IN ALL THESE POOR PEOPLE . OUR GOVERNMENT IS NOT DOING ITS JOBS. ITS NOT OUR PROBLEM INDIAN IS CORRUPT AND POOR.

I need assistance regarding a situation with an immigration agent. I processed a PR application for Canada through an agent who initially requested an advance of 3 lakhs Nepali Rupees (approximately $3,000). He claimed this was a security deposit required for an interview and insisted it was necessary. Initially, he quoted the total cost of the process as about 25 lakhs Nepali Rupees (more than $25,000). Later, he informed me that due to changes in the system, the cost had risen to 45 lakhs Nepali Rupees. Without prior notice, he arranged a PR interview through a consultancy named Bright Canada Immigration. Unable to afford this amount, I canceled the interview and requested a refund of the security deposit. The agent then told me the deposit was non-refundable because he had already paid a lawyer for the interview.\n\nWhat should I do next?

Moved back in with my parents in 2021. Still here because it's the most affordable option. I don't want to pay some scumlord's mortgage and not be able to save for my own. If that'll ever happen...

It's great that immigrant dreams are coming true, but what about my (and other citizen dreams)? I can't own a home, have my dream job (because they are all being taken by low-wage workers or outsourced) and potentially not even be able to afford children, let alone a vehicle.
2024-09-02 0
Immigration lawyers want to profit from foreign workers who then find they cannot afford rent or food. How amusing that Global would peddle this garbage. But Global peddles Hamas garbage as well, so no surprise.
2024-09-02 0
If you are coming to Canada as a student you have to show that you can 100% afford to be self sufficient without requiring a job in Canada, nor rely on our social systems and food banks.\nThose services are for Canadians only.\nInternational students should be forced to house on campus, until our housing crisis is under control. He who profits, is responsible for their “lucrative assets”

For myself, I'm against endlesss expansionism. I think lonly greedy politicians and international investors want it, in order to drai resources. I think less is more. The people here, now would have more resources, more opertunities, more access to affordable homes, businesses farms, if all imigration from everywhere was banned.
2024-09-02 1
I saw a CBC article about an international student and how shes going to struggle financially with less hours to work. First of all theyre supposed to have the money to support themselves. Secondly working a full time job while studying full time is weaking educational outcomes. No wonder IS are failing! If you cant afford too be here then you need to move back home.
2024-09-02 1
It’s not about politics or polls . It’s about affordability . This time I support the government to curb the temporary foreign workers program . This guy is saving his clients

Canadians can not afford sny more immigrants, go home

A government can’t make housing affordable for its people is a failure government

Anyone want to talk about the environmental policies and regulations that prevent Canadians from taking advantage of their massive natural resources? Huge tracts of land are off limit to development due to environmental protection rules, there's minimal infrastructure investment (few roads, ports, etc.) outside of Toronto, and people wonder why there's a lack of affordable housing.
2024-09-01 0
I can't afford to pay anymore,from a 54 year old Canadian taxpayer.
2024-09-01 0
Genuine question. Other than money. Why does Canada want X amount of more international students? It's obviously, going to cause backlog in all sectors. Not enough jobs, not enough affordable housing for international and domestic students, lack of education etc
