On average, living in the USA tends to be more expensive compared to Canada. However, it's vital to understand that these costs vary significantly within each country. While some expenses may be higher in Canada, such as food and real estate, the USA faces higher costs in areas like healthcare and education. The bottom line, there is no free lunch!

Coming from the UK, it's laughable seeing white people of European ancestry claiming Canada is 'their country'. Tell that to the indigenous peoples that were displaced as a result of colonisation. They've got the real right to say they feel like strangers in their own land.

Out of the 39 Million Canadian population 1 million people are working and living in the USA in high paying jobs (Canada can't afford them)... Canada hid its inflation in the housing market for a decade. The economy appeared to be growing, and real wages appeared to be staying in line with the consumer price index, but it was smoke and mirrors. If you removed real estate, GDP was stagnant. Wages were actually falling behind and people getting poorer and poorer without realising it. That’s finally become unsustainable, and inflation is showing up everywhere. And the wages are still stuck. The country is sitting on hugely valuable resources it could develop had it not put so many self-created political barriers in the way, and having indoctrinated their population about it along the way. Separately, The healthcare system is getting worse, consistently ranking 2nd last in the OECD in terms of real results delivered. The biggest problem is that the country’s economy is built on immigration to drive growth, rather than productivity, efficiency, or innovation. The more people you bring in, the more housing you need, but they’re at the point that they can’t keep up and people can hardly afford housing anyways. It’s a recipe for disaster. I left Canada by coincidence, having met someone from another country and moved there. I’m glad I left.

I left Canada in 1985. My grandparents were Canadian born, but I could see the trend in the 80’s when the first waves of Chinese were welcome to move to Canada with money, buy real estate, business interests, and provide tax dollars for a Government that was addicted to spending and would never satisfy their Liberal agenda, with the tax revenue alone from hard working, productive Canadians. I have never regretted my move, and have watched Canada sell citizenship and resident status to anyone with the cash. You reap what you sow. home ownership is out of control in Canada because of Chinese moneys in real estate. I understand this is targeting Justin but the real issue is the Chinese investment pushing up prices to unreasonable levels. This is happening in other countries like Greece. New millionaires are picking up real estate in record numbers and thousands of new millionaires are being created in countries like India and China. Many of this could be money laundering like Russians and Chinese do in London and Dubai. What Canada needs to do is make it more expensive for overseas investors to buy homes, crackdown on criminal investments, increase the stock of homes, and reduce construction costs. Trudough does not have the balls to do any of this, as liberals generally lack discipline to be financially prudent.

The real question is can Canada survive without immigrants ?

As a immigrant who recently got Canadian citizenship, I would like to clear few things here. I noticed that the host of the show has some wrong perception in his mind for international students. I agree that the basic jobs should be allocated to the young population or elderly population and international student should sustain themselves, but on the other hand why don't' the colleges charge the same fees that they charge to domestic applicants ?...the international students pays 5X to 10X the fees that the local student pays for the same courses. Also, when the student applies for visa they already pay 20000K to a Canadian bank for the future monthly payments that they will get so sustaining is not a problem. most of these students work so that they can contribute to the 5X fees that they have to pay. Also, when it comes to skill, the students skills are assessed by the universities and colleges and only after that they come to Canada. If you see an immigrant working in Tim Hortons or Food basics, don't worry he will be out of there in 2 years to a high paying skillful job that local population won't do. Now, when I say all this the immigration problem is real, but it is not because of the student who comes here, pays higher fees and than work in Canada, pay higher taxes and contribute to GDP and economy. your problem is with refugees and immigrants who are brought in mass immigration, who does not have skills. Because this is the population which you brought with to match the labor shortage but can not work so you provide them subsidies, assistance etc. and dig a hole in government funds...…now for the host he seems to have an agenda against Indian immigrants in particularly. I don't mind that though we are used to it. I don't hate him but can he make a video for other countries as well ? how Many Chinese students who didn't even past the language test come to Canada to study and drives expensive cars even without working a single day ? how you bring a immigrant under refugees status from any country to match labor shortage, but who also has 5-7 kids which means you get 1 guy benefiting Canada with 5-7 person who will take benefit from Canada?.....

Canada has very large aging population. And they are bringing more immigrants to pay tax to sustain the economy. Growing up in Brampton most of my life and now being able to travel for work I say let them have it. Brampton is over priced and over crowded. High crime rate. No night life. Only a handful of choices for cuisine. Canada is an enormous country and the real shame is not being able to move to another city as easy as it should be when a good for nothing one gets invaded the way Brampton has. I’m currently out in Woodstock and all the new houses in the north of the city is ALL Indians. On any nice day you’d think the neighborhood park is little India with all the aunties and uncles at the benches. The damage is done, this country’s immigration system needs a complete overhaul.

This is pretty hard to describe as multiculturalism. I have no issue with Indian Canadians whatsoever. A lot of really good hard working poeple come here from there, and I respect their culture. My concern is how we maintain Canadian amid this type of immigration 15:21 seems like there is no real attempt to integrate new Canadians to our system and beliefs. We don't want to end up like Europe where foreign cultures have imposed themselves on the population. I was born and raised in Canada and in my 60’s now. I can’t afford to live here anymore, healthcare has declined, personal safety, fuel costs, insurance etc. most of all our politics are a mess on all three major parties. The Liberals are a royal mess and inflation went through the roof. They’re just running around like the 3 blind mice making fools of themselves. The Conservatives are involving themselves in a right wing romance with fascist trumpianism and think poutine is an ok guy. The hate speech is unreal. We used to be a real chill country. I have young 20 somethings telling me they think Communism is a great idea and they would rather fight for poutine if a war breaks out. Well it’s their future not mine. The AI, bots and trolls on the internet are telling them what they want to hear in order to stir up hate and entitlement. The NDP (New Democratic Party) is neither here nor there, they’re kind of always the minority and swing both the other two parties to divide the vote and gain some form of temporary power. \nI’d like to see a politician that has the balls to stand up to the dictators of this world that shit disturb in every continent because they are such little insecure bastards that they think they can conquer it. I’ve got news for them. Every single dictator in history has failed… miserably and often brutally. We need the kind of leadership in our Country that can produce good governance. Our GDP is just under $60K. The dictators out there are rubbing their greedy little hands, for if there is ever a 3rd world war, Canada will be the prize. We are loaded with resources. Land mass, water, minerals, oil and gas, technology, geographic strategic stronghold etc. Don’t let it slip into the hands of fascists, communists, dictators or totalitarians they always make it worse so that it takes a lifetime to recover. I’ve spent 40 yrs in the workforce, and listened to countless people from every continent who told me the truth about why they left their homeland.
