I know I will get attacked in the comments for this, but I grew up in the US watched many presidents come and go, and I have never seen the country that I live in turn so corrupt and evil in my life we have been lied to by our president. A man I did not vote for and it almost feels like it is turning into a fascist regime. I think it is time for me to leave and move to Canada because at least they know the difference between right and wrong. my family, a long time ago fled from fascist Germany and came to America because back then it was the land of the free it terrifies me to know that my family ran from that only to end up right back where it was before in the future my prayers go out to every American citizen and hope that you all rise up, right and left and independent and do what you can to get this dictator out of office. He’s only been in there not even two months and look how bad everything is already. United we stand divided, we fall.

More inflation isn't going to affect most of us. We've already had so much that we can't afford anything anyway. If a house already costs a million dollars who cares if it goes up to 100 million. Is truly not worth working during this period of time until work pays a living again. I'm at the point I'd rather go live off the land on a commune

I see this as nothing less than Trump wanting to do to Canada a slightly more palatable version of what Putin is doing to Ukraine. Trump has openly said he wants Canada to become the 51st state, even though this is a huge ask as Canada has a population larger than any US state (California is close in population size), Canada has a land mass nearly the size of the US and, including water mass, Canada has a larger overall area than the US. Trump also wants Iceland to be owned by America. He has become power crazy during a war because this is his only chance to stoke his ego to undreamable levels. Trump wants to be America's Putin.

Now with 20% tariffs on China , the iPhone full import price $700 (sale price). is taxed(tariffs) x 20% = $140. Trump wants 20% corporate rate extended and ultimate 15% corporate rate. Most all the overseas US mfg might come home to moma. \nI would advise Trump to selectively wave tariffs on some items like lumber from Canada and food from mexico. As for oil from Canada I think Trump will let Chevron develop and buy heavy oil from Venezuela. If not might have to wave/reduce tariffs on Canadian diluted bitumen oil.

I’m American..I love the people of Canada & Mexico..and the beautiful land of both countries. I truly believe illegal fentanyl will become a presidential justification for annexation of our allied countries. Putins attack on Ukraine has emboldened a specific American to seek out his own tress passing, imho. Canada is being too gentle in its initial response. Why not go full throttle right from the get go. It’s shameful what “the most powerful country in the world”,”the land of the free” or whatever arrogant nickname the USA wants to go by. @robertedward7023 It can but I think Trump is right on this one. Zelensky needs to realize that he won't get his land back that Russia took, and that negotiating is the only way to come to peace now. He's living in a fairytale world fighting an unwinnable war. I think the US is right to pull the plug on financial aid to try to pressure Zelensky to negotiate to end the war. Unfortunately, to end the war Ukraine will likely have to concede the land they lost. But the reality is Putin will never give that land back. But it's better than more people dying everyday. Zelensky has gotten all too comfortable relying on financial aid and as a result he hasn't been willing to try anything new (like negotiate) to get this war finished. If we keep sending him money, nothing will change. Now he has pressure to negotiate. the US and Canada can't keep sending money to Ukraine for the next 20 years while this war carries on.

The tariffs make sense from the position of trump being an ally with putin. trump is punishing countries that have supported Ukraine, thinking that if he weakens these countries with tarrifs, these same countries will turn inward and discontinue their support of Ukraine. I wonder how much putin has offered to pay trump if trump can strong arm Ukraine into ending the war, leaving russia with land stolen from Ukraine. Being the US's neighbor wasn't a choice. It's geography. For decades we worked together to create a safe and friendly border.
