Immigration MAY play a role in rising prices... In fact, it's negligible. Private Equity and Corps are using the excuse of 'immigration' to intentionally drive up prices. Why have prices increased generally. The Gov't printed too much money to keep the Corps/Bay St Happy and share prices up. They should have just rode it out like the rest of the World (aside from Western Countries, You see the exact same thing happening... Rising costs, mass immigration, etc. coincidence? ?) . So in fact, it's not that things got more expensive... our currency deflated. Aside from US and EU at least... majority of our immigrants aren't illegals, refugees, people seeking asylum, etc. They actually can bring value to the economy (some would disagree... ?, besides that). As long as the Gov't ends the TFW BS... we'll be fine. Maybe... Doesn't help when Can Officials are sharing the bed with Sikh business Tycoons... Sorry Guardian but no one that mentioned their degrees actually have any education or skills that Canadians are lacking, the SKILLED TRADES. The gov are just letting in people and students who are filling up a glut in the market of white collar jobs, none of these people at the Institute for Canadian Citizenship who mentioned their degrees actually have skilled trades, it's just more of the same. How exactly do you expect me to fit in? I've spoken English and lived here since the age of 2. I celebrate Halloween and Christmas but not Pride Month, and I don’t eat Canadian food regularly. What they should do is hit pause on immigration. I believe they should grandfather in those who arrived prior to a specified year.\n\nI’m sure the majority is ok with immigration. This guy is right for the most part. A gov't telling the world to come in and not integrate or learn English is a big part of the problem. Then there are Indians who exploit Indians overseas. The thing too is the bad people coming now get so much free stuff. The rest of the immigrants who built this country had no programs yet have to pay for the newcomers who are changing the country. How can gov officials be so retarded?? immigration doesnt affect housing. Government interference affects housing. Removing the LTB and changing tenancy laws to a free marketplace will open the floodgate, and everyone will want to become a landlord. Now, no one wants to, and this is what drives rental prices up. You have reduced supply due to harsh rules. If a tenant does not pay rent, they should be arrested for theft. Now, with the current laws, a 1 year lease means a lifetime lease. Who wants to rent for life? Who the hell is the government determining rental increase rates at 2% when inflation was at 7-10%? \nI can get a 1 year lease, and that agreement should be honored, but after that, it should be a free market. \n\nIf a landlord were to charge double, would anyone live there? It would have to be competitive and more people with homes would want to do it. Now most people dont want to due to the rules and this creates the shortage.

On my LinkedIn I get people from all over the world who want to come, from Europeans to Brazilians and all these people contact me looking for opportunities. Our gov't prioritized low wage workers who they can practically enslave with minimum wage short term then turn around and kick them out.\n\nThis is the most egregious thing I've ever seen and they do it the most Canadian way too, with a smile and popish attitude. \n\nAll these Walmart, Tim Hortons, basically all these service jobs should be going to locals and locals ONLY! I've never seen an indian eating from Tim Hortons but 100% of the people who work there are indian. Why? because they're working in slave labor.

Same Here 25% of taxes every week from my pay check, one day the company gave me $500 bonus for my performance, ? but ended up with $309 because of the taxes. It funny how you work hard receive a compensation for that and the gov take his taxes from your sacrifices. Wich makes you think stop working hard the more you work the more taxes you pay for nothing, while there are other people abusing of the system, receiving money from the gov for doing nothing.

Canada is still better than India in many aspects, more safe for women, healthcare is free, clean country with low pollution, lots of beautiful parks, most people are tolerant, crime rate is low, multicultural, standard of living is high, Canadian passport allows you to travel easily, gov pension, lots of opportunities, i was able to change my career at 50 and became a private investigator, i was born and raised in India.

And I would even go so far as to say most Canadians dont hate Indians either. What we DO hate is the disrespect we are being shown by many (not all) of these immigrants coming into OUR country. Dont cut immigration down.....tell me how did Indian intl student makes up about more than 80% out of all international students. Why didnt the government put a cap or a stop specifically just for Indian people? Why didnt the immigration look deep before giving student visa just like a snap of a finger and see if they can support themselve for school and living expense. \n\nI am an immigrant myself but when i decided to come to canada as a student. I made sure i had enough funds to sustain myself here in canada for 2 years until i can get my work permit then a head to PR. I was never racist or taught to see people of other ethnicities or religions as inferior so I don't hate Indians, nor do I show them disrespect unless warranted but the rampant abuse of our systems has messed up so many things. I know of large families of Indians who came as asylum seekers who'd come over separately while claiming different names so when they all come together some families are getting $30k or more per month just for being here. They drive expensive new luxury vehicles and mostly wear expensive designer clothes and are given homes while at the same time us Canadians born and raised here are struggling to even get to eat well every day or have a home to begin with. It's not entirely the fault of Indians, the blame also needs to be shared by our gov't as well since they opened the borders and have mostly waived the process of vetting who comes into our country. It's never a bad thing to have people who genuinely add to the collective greatness of a country but we have let in too many freeloaders and even criminals, the Indian gangs extorting businesses for millions in BC and Alberta for example. Nothing wrong with Indian immigrants as long as we can balance the needs and safety of everyone involved as well. Right now there is no balance and the results are catastrophic. Canada never used to be host to so much divide and hatred as it is now, we can thank Trudeau and his people for that.

I lived in canada for ten years, and become a citizen which im really proud of. But now i believe the majority of people realise we do need a major change in everything. Gov did a terrible job about the economy, and immigration policy, making canada not a suitable habitable place to live.

Why some skilled immigrants are leaving germany? I have many friends who did that- IT, finances, etc. 1. Very high taxes and thus net salaries comparable to Eastern Europe. A senior dev in Bulgaria gets 2000-3000 NET. After taxes in Germany, well, he will get a little less. 2. Cost of living in Germany is much higher- rents, energy(because of green policies and taxes), services(because of costly labor), etc. \nImagine a budget of 1000-1500 eur to give you a nice apartment(400-500), bills, food and bars/restaurants 1-2 times per week. With a net salary of 2500 eur(average for qualified jobs in the capital) you can save 1000 eur or more with ease. With almost no illegals security, standard of living, etc is close to german. That is why qualified bulgarians do not go to Germany anymore. Same comparison can be done with all other EU contries. \nBecause of socialist policies for equal payment, high taxes, etc even germans leave Germany. What was the number? I think I saw more than 100000 qualified germans leaving each year. But why stay? To be taxed so that an engineer gets 1.5-2 times the janitor? With german social security unemployed get more than many working people. Rent covered, money for food and more and social payments leave you with more than the one working for twice your income because he pays rent, bills, etc.\nThere was an article I think in DW years ago about unemployed young people working for 2 years paid by gov and leaving the job market forever. Currently we are paying to the gov't upwards of 50% of our earnings in a gamut of taxes and excises. That hard earned money is spent with zero transparency on activities that, many of them, are directed against the people. However, finding another country to move to, with better leadership, where to work and live, now and in the near future is a real challenge

I left Germany after a year working.\nReason:\n15%- Even though i learnt german, but still faced discrimanation sometimes due to colour. Due to discrimanation outsiders can never go up the ladder. In the USA, You would see many Indians as CEO, but in Germany its impossible.\n25% - Work is too slow. Many people remain on leave/holiday. Not just my office, bank and other gov work are also very slow.\n20% - Too many immigrants. its no more germany. school has almost 80% non german.\n10% - Dependency on trains, and trains are often delayed. Getting driving licence takes lot of time.\n5% - Cold weather\n5% - High taxes (but we get some benefits)\n5% - People are very closed. I wanted to help and talk to neighbour, but they were so cold to interact.\n5% - Away from home, never felt like home.\n5%- Doctor appointment, sply for kids is nightmare. \n5%- Drugs, beer, smokers everywhere. No culture.\n\nOthers find difficulty in finding house, but i got easily.\nNow some positive:\n\n50% - Too much time for yourself. It is very hard to point out all the negatives about Canada (at this time) without getting into politics, but I am looking forward to your video.\n\nCanada has changed over the last 10 years that it is unrecognizable. While many countries have changed due to global factors, many changes in Canada can be traced back to the policy issues and politics (all levels of gov but especially federal gov). That includes: 1) mass immigration (at a time when we have a housing crisis and most of ppl living here cannot afford a place (to buy or rent)), 2) crime - this is directly related to changes introduced by the federal liberals, 3) drugs - federal liberals again, 4) housing crisis - all levels of gov - most of people in Canada cannot afford a place to buy or rent - what kind of country are we???, 5) economy (GDP/capita has been decreasing for 2 yrs now, investment per worker has been stagnant or decreasing, productivity) - our economy is real estate, education and public sector, 6) deficit/fiscal irresponsibility - all levels of gov but federal liberals are exceptionally good at this. We are a mess.

If you or anyone inn the same situation have enough (A lot) of money, of course it's the smart choice to move abroad. You are still super young. But someone close to retirement and after living in Canada for a long time, Its not that smart. Canadian goverment wont pay you full pension if yu don't live for a minimum amount of time a year inside Canada. So giving away your money to the Canadian gov is not something that a lot of people are willing to do. Not after living years here and paying huge tax. But again you are lucky that you are young.

I think all things are possible when you are young and healthy. As someone with an unexpected chronic disease that showed up in my 40s I'm on immunosuppressants that are very costly. Thank God the gov't here covers them. With treatments every 6 weeks I have no freedom to leave. While that's taken care of, access to a family doctor or emergency care is horrible. Waiting a month for a doctors appt or having to spend 10 hours in emergency is not okay in a developed country.\n As a citizen you have Canada as a safety net, so its no big deal if you move and don't like it. I'm not sure where is safe in the world right now. A lot of people moved to Equador, and then boom the violence got out of control. Just my thoughts on things.

Probably its from Canada there are lot of uneducated resist people live their living on gov freebies

Not just in Canada. We can read the same comments from trolls and bots influencing people to create chaos, the same comments in Canada allies from all over. Trolls and bots factory have a plan and its on the rise. Not defending the gov, the system is broken, always more and more for the economy that will brake someday, globally.

The reality in here is, the the mayority of british people do work and most of this people anti british people do have benefits and have the time to do this in a weekday. the sun said britain united but and i do not see any union jack flag wales flag england flag scotish flag in there iris flag. where this people from really? Where this anti british people get momey to pay for this banners , we british people only come out with our own union jack flag , other england , wales and iris flags . If if your country where is the union jack flag representing british values? there is not unity here . the goberment and media are trying to put the dirt under the carpet, the gov and news papers only keep dividing even more and more ...not uniting.

first i am an immigrant for 20 years. i see the problem has been rising. \nthe problem is not just immigrant, its the overseas students also. Gov try to solve the issue but they are doing it blindly. the problem are those small schools that focus on making school as a business and let people get working visa. \nwe need doctors and nurses so badly. why cant we take more doctors and nursing, have universities specifically train then. we can also have golden visa and wealthy immigrants to come in . we dont just need cheap labour, we also need money. \n\ni cant wait for next election to vote this gov out!

Family immigrated there in 85. Back then my parents needed to prove and bring certain assets as part of the requirements. \n\nNow it seems they don’t really care, just come in with nothing, and the first thing to figure out is how to get the gov to pay out to sustain.\n\nHow this change came about… got no idea. \n\nAnd when looking at it culturally, that has changed as well. Being Chinese, we brought along our traditions. Those were celebrated and introduced to other Canadians, and it was a joyous thing. That being said, Canadian culture should come first and foremost. That should be understood. You are living underneath someone else’s roof, you should learn their culture and accept it. If not, why are you there.\n\nNowadays, it feels like it is a right to alter, and place your original culture above that of Canada’s. That’s just weird. Why did you move there in the first place if you can’t accept and get along with everyone else there.\n\nI decided to move back to Hong Kong because I didn’t like it, and for people that feel the same, get out of there. People that want to stay in Canada should be contributing, and live like a Canadian.\n\nProud to be Canadian, but it feels different now. Only hear crimes and homelessness, drugs… gun violence. How things have changed in these past 25 years or so.\n\nI do hope the gov wakes up. But yeah, not betting on it. Wish my fellow Canadians the best of luck. It’s a pity that groups fighting for this issue is being called racist. Utterly ridiculous… the power of the western media. ?
