I'm with the guy in the vest...I can deal with an Indian invasion over Muslim/African any day! We've had a huge Indian influx in our area and though they usually group together, they at last largely assimilate even if their yards don't say it! Not to mention do this same interview in a largely Muslim area and see how the people react if you don't have a body guard!

Brampton and surrey are hubs for punjabis and Indians. The rest of Canada has smaller populations though they stick out more with their identity and choice of jobs that usually are in your face.

Punjabi people being suppressed in India? 😂 These khalstanis never fail to make me laugh. 😂 First of all India has federal government. There's a central government & state government. Central government allocates budget to State government which politicians from punjab itself(means people from their own community or region) have to use the upliftment of their people. But yet they blame Indian Prime Minister Modi for their problems even though his party is not even in power in punjab. A very good friend of mine lost her husband to an illegal Indian driver with no license. He ran a light or something. This was about 3 years ago, but his daughter will never have a father. They sued though. This happens all of the time and it hardly makes the news.

Punjabis take offence when they are called indians and demand a separate country. As a Brampton resident, the newer Indians, are giving the good ones a bad reputation. It used to be more multicultural city and immigrants actually assimilated with the customs of, Canada. It’s pretty much 90% Indian now and about half of those don’t show signs of assimilating. Drivers here are so bad man! I’m convinced that a lot of them just pay for it. 😭 Their cuisine is good though, so, I’m grateful for that. 😅

I am Indian, and I request that Canada and the USA deport Indians back to India. No country should feel as though it is being invaded or colonised by people who do not belong there.... This is stupidity...I did my Masters in London for two years. I promised myself that I would make friends only with students from the UK, Europe, and other countries—except India, experience their culture and then return to India once my studies were finished. I did exactly that.

I have an Indian friend who I'm sure is a Sikh (has the turban. Never asked though). He's also very much a proud Canadian, so I can just picture him being mad about the Indian invasion the most.

The massive majority of Indians I've met in Canada have been absolutely kind. I have no ill will for the people. I do have ill will for our liberal government though. There's just too many people coming in at once. In 2025 we had 415,000 new permanent residences. 2024 it was 425,000. The liberal government said they were going to lower immigration and they didn't. They gutted the international student program but they kept the influx of permanent residences coming in because they're not done buying votes.

Where I'm from, we have a decent size Indian population. But we get a lot of the tech guys or doctors and stuff. They're nice for the most part, but some act like they're better than everybody. I think it's possibly remnants of living with a caste system, even though it was supposedly banned I think it's still a big part of their culture.

India has its problems, but Indians legally migrating to Canada should not be seen as criminals. The visuals used were also very offsetting - when a woman said India is a beautiful country, you showed us dirty Indian roads. Here is a aggressively neutral take as a Canadian elementary school teacher in an area with an extremely high Indian population (around half our school is ethnically Indian). It is also my own opinion, and some opinions on the internet suck: The good: Cultural integration IS possible (the Indian families are more into hockey than the white families where I live), tons of cross-cultural friendships, beautiful blend of cultural celebrations, top achievers are almost always second-generation immigrants, kids are growing up to love their parents' culture while also loving Canada's, many fantastic families who engage their children well and raise them very respectfully, religious temples that will feed an amazing meal to ANYBODY who walks into them (as long as you cover your hair), low rates of family trauma (drugs, abuse, divorce, etc.), families that take care of their elders The rough: Not all families are interested in being Canadian (some families just send their kids to Indian speaking private schools, live in Indian areas, and only seem to practice Indian ways of life - what's even the point?), many Indian families retreated into their home-lives during Covid which removed their children from integration opportunities, a very small percentage of the families are absolutely TERRIBLE at parenting and treat their sons and daughters with different levels of respect, multi-family households pay a single property tax which makes the contribution per taxpayer much smaller (while social benefits are equal to anybody else), some crime such as extortion and gang activity has been imported into the country, some individuals' disregard for rules and laws (setting fireworks on Diwali in the middle of a dry, grassy field is just plain stupid), some Indian communities seem to vote blindly for their own ilk during local elections without any regard for policy or experience, LMIA immigration program has been corrupted by the nepotism of bad actors and the greed of large corporations (wages can be federally subsidized which makes it cheaper to hire immigrants than the 16 year old down the street). Many of these families were simply making good choices for their own family, so don't blame the people themselves for this - blame the government that allowed it to fester unsustainably. I'll continue to stick up for the majority of these beautiful families though - haters be darned! Watching these kids grow up gives me some hope for humanity!

My only gripe is that they litter and don't clean up after themselves. Indians are generally good people though.

As a Canadian born, brown resident of Brampton, it truly sucks to see the Canadian culture we all love be completed obliterated by large scale, unchecked immigration from India specifically. In the gym, grocery store and most other common spaces, people speak Punjabi, not English. Truly horrible what happened to what was once such an awesome country and the worst part of it is, nobody, no policy maker will ever face justice for the cultural destruction they have caused. I am concerned about the comments here! Right now we need to welcome people from the US escaping ICE! We need to be humane! I agree that we need to be discerning to risky people, and there needs to be limits. But this is an emergency situation! We need to help good people who are at risk and just wanting a better life! I was in niagara ontario last weekend and back in October. Its all indian, i mean 7 out of 10 people were indian, store and resturant owners, employees, tourists, residents all indians, very very few whites or english being spoken. I even tried to get pizza from a place called pizza depot, it was indian run and owned. The pizza was good but it seemed as though every which way i turned i couldnt support anything actually canadian.
