A lot of us Americans remember learning about the tariff wars in history class that ended up in deciding fair trade was the better route. I fear we’re about to learn the same lesson again…\n\nAs far as the drug trade goes apparently the GOV doesn’t spend enough time on the internet because the cartels are no longer just in Mexico they’re in the USA and in Canada. They have learned the Canadian border is a lot easier to cross and they can get into BC pretty easily due to relaxed immigration policies In Canada.. they probably don’t actually know where the drugs are coming from or where they’re being manufactured entirely. The cartels are probably a step ahead of them at the moment. \n\nI can’t believe the auto industry lobbyists were not instructed to go full send on the detriment of the opposite position taken from the NAFTA. I am a Canadian. Moved to Houston and lived there for eight years....there is nothing pleasant about living in the United States. Sorry but you guys fail even the basic courtesies of life. Was relieved to get back to Canada and get rid of my sidearms! Hospitals and clinics in the U.S. want proof of insurance or they can refuse to even look at you! In Canada no clinic or hospital can turn you away....and we have the Good Samartan law here...meaning you can't be sued for helping someone in an emegency. These are east Indians coming from the UK. They had US visas from the UK. What is Canada to do when they are in transit passengers from the UK and given fake or real but seems fake US visas. Mexico has been imposing tariffs on Americans, and Mexican’s, for taking their cars over there for a long time. \n\nYou have to pay for a permit, along with a hefty deposit (depending on the vehicle year), to cross your vehicle into Mexico. You can cross into the border towns, but if you want to drive further in, you have to pay. \n\nThis is done to eliminate competition, instead of letting the market dictate the pricing. And if you don’t return your permit, you don’t get your deposit back and lose the ability to cross any vehicles for life. No, how is that fair?!\n\nAnd you STILL see Mexican nationals buying vehicles here, and just paying the hefty tariffs, just to legalize their American vehicles in Mexico. \n\nWe can just start there, and do the same thing to them. Border crossing have stopped due to the election of Trump. Mexico has zero leverage. So she can threaten whatever. Mexico can literally be shut down easily by Trump. Hey CNN you don’t need to analyze. We want Trump and voted for his solution.

As a long time follower of this page... it's time to unsubscribe. You should be able to differentiate between immigration and illegal crossing of the border. I'm a master's student at a top university in the US, my dream is to be staying here LEGALLY and after years of work I want to build my own family and company here. My background is checked before I came here and I'm entitled to the laws here. Unfortunately the situation is really bad with illegals as they have no papers, they can literally go away with everything. They don't pay taxes, they commit crime and don't face the consequences. A guy from my programming class told me his best friend's sister was r*ped by an Afg*n criminal and he's still out in their neighbourhood.

There's a piece missing in the puzzle. Has anyone asked where's Mexico in all of this? everyone seems to forget that they're America's southern neighbor, and they're not helping with anything to mitigate the border crisis. Mexico has to be sanctioned, because they're not actively partaking in the protection of the shared border with the US, they're allowing immigrants to cross the border unchecked, sparing themselves the trouble of dealing with them. They're throwing the ball in America's court, making immigration America's problem. Since they share the border with America, they have an obligation to combat illegal immigrantion but they're not doing that. They want to get rid of their crimnals and the poverty in their country not by enforcing the law and trying to invest in their infrastructure to enhance the living standards of their people, instead they're encouraging them to move to America to find a better life. America doesn't have to pay the price of Mexico being a failed country. They're turning their backs on their own citizens and trying to get rid of them, obliging them to take the perilous journey across the border where they're prone to crime, drugs, rape, human trafficking, sex trafficking, child abuse and all sorts of tragedies but to them the ends justify the means, and they have the nerves to call America racist and inhumane for not rescuing them from the situation that they created for them in the first place. Since the vast majority of illegal immigrants came across the border with Mexico, they should be deported back to Mexico, and Mexico can take it from there, not our problem anymore
