Stop the steal, think about what this means. It means stop stealing from wealthy americans to help poor americans, help americans have healthcare, help american farmers keep their farms. The oligarchs of USA do not want this, they don't want to pay taxes, they want to rule with impunity like Putin. America is being lost day by day, Welcome to West Russia. I have many friends in the USA, and this is a very sad situation and my heart aches for them. I know this is going to hurt in Canada, but screw you orange menace and president Musk, I will go down fighting for the freedoms we (our forefathers) earned, defeating the last facist pig that ruled a country
2025-03-04 0
I know you mean what you are saying, I'm disgusted with our new president that doesn't care about us or anyone but himself. I wish I could move to Canada. Here we are treated like garbage with no respect for homeless, children, elderly any human being. I admire you and Zelensky real gentleman.

Traitor tRUMP doesn’t know what sticking to one’s word means!
2025-03-04 0
Man, can we have this guy? He makes sense and he knows what all the words mean.
2025-03-04 0
It is very sad that Trudeau waited until he was having the door slammed behind him to actually get a backbone. While his words sound great - they mean nothing. He will not be our Prime Minister for long. He literally has about 2 weeks. It’s the equivalent of taking a dump on your bosses desk because you won the lottery. No consequences.
2025-03-04 0
Just to clarify, I didn’t vote for criminal “Trump” at all. So if ur looking for someone to blame for his victory, u can totally point your finger at the people who actually pulled the lever for him! I mean, come on, didn’t they check the fine print? It’s like voting for a mystery box and being surprised when it’s filled with socks! So, sorry Trump fans, but this mess is all on you! \n“Let America Great My A$$ again”

The FACTS is that there is a HUGE drug problem in Canada worst than the USA! So Canada should STOP fentanyl by all means with a lot of people suffering from addiction

PARTS OF NEW YORK WILL EXPERIENCE WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES WITHOUT ELECTRICITY
2025-03-04 0
You mean Canada's leader doesn't wear orange makeup and vomit forth unending lies? What a strange place Canada must be!
2025-03-04 0
Not the people in the comments glazing Trudeau as if they forgot how shit the housing and drug situation is in Canada ? just because he's more eloquent doesn't mean he's a good leader. He literally resigned ?
2025-03-04 0
This is how Trump is when he’s a president if he don’t get something then this is what he does to payback to other countries and even to other people in America however, he treats people in other country he would treat America just as bad. Trump is a dictator and evil and mean and a terrorist to our own country. Trump don’t give a crap about America. He only cares about himself. I’m with Canada and America to fight for our rights against Trump.
2025-03-04 0
Yep.... that's exactly how our US President sounds. Completely eloquent, thought provoking and with concern and passion for all human beings everywhere. ..................... I mean.... honestly.... does anyone feel that America is stronger & safer today? I doubt even the most ardent supporter of President Trump can honestly think that.... This is getting pretty darn serious and I'm not happy about that. IT IS ONLY THE FIRST MARCH of his SECOND TERM!!!!

The canadian people are about to show americans what war means and how we stand strong. We will not be pushovers and i know rest of world will back us!!
2025-03-04 0
canadians can do better now by flooding USA with this drugs a means of revenge and raise 100% tariff on all US goods so Canadian wont buy them and choose their own local products...
2025-03-04 0
This is beautiful, how well spoken, how are articulate this is a real leader. I'm so impressed, as an American I am disappointed when Donald opens his mouth. This is a sad day for Amaga's I mean Americans oops. You losers get what you voted for. Where's the low prices?

“ They” Meaning Half of the U.S population MAGA cult and its radical leader..
2025-03-04 0
Trump is dumb but he hires keen employees. What do I mean? He knows exactly what he's doing. I call upon anyone to study the history of 1920's USA, politically AND economically.\nBack then they also created policies that deported millions of Mexicans. Blamed Europe from bringing their worse AND imposed tariffs.\nWhat happened? well the Great Depression did AND also WW2. Inform yourself USA.
2025-03-04 0
I'm sure trump is shaking in his boot hearing this fraud talk.. ? America first don't forget.. just because he wants to stop the killing and end the war don't mean his siding with puttin. Just a liberal talking point
2025-03-04 0
Hey, morons at CNN, just because he’s speaking French doesn’t mean he was done talking. Listen to the translation and you’ll see he wasn’t just repeating himself you single language bigots.
2025-03-04 0

2025-03-04 0
Everytime I see the orange mean speak I can not not see and hear an angry toddler babbling!!!!
2025-03-04 0
Goddammit CNN, I don’t want to listen to Wolf, I wanted to listen to someone who had something to say. Just because Wolf doesn’t speak French doesn’t mean others don’t. Je voulais entendre Justin Trudeau.

Canada’s 25% Tariffs? A Win for American Businesses in the Long Run\n\nAt first glance, Canada slapping a 25% tariff on U.S. goods might seem like a negative for America. But in reality, this move could actually work in our favor by making the U.S. economy stronger, more self-sufficient, and less dependent on foreign markets.\n\t1.\tBoosting American Manufacturing & Production – When Canada makes U.S. goods more expensive with tariffs, American businesses have a huge opportunity to shift focus to domestic markets and new trade partners. This could bring more production back home and reduce reliance on Canada.\n\t2.\tEncouraging Trade Diversification – The U.S. isn’t limited to Canada. If they want to play hardball, we can expand exports to other countries with fewer trade restrictions. Canada makes up about 15% of U.S. exports, but the rest of the world is wide open. This is a chance to diversify and strengthen our economy.\n\t3.\tMaking Canada Pay More for U.S. Goods – Tariffs don’t just hurt exporters—they also raise costs for Canadian consumers. If Canada wants American products, they’ll end up paying more or have to settle for alternatives that might be lower quality or more expensive from other countries.\n\t4.\tStrengthening America’s Negotiating Position – If Canada wants to raise tariffs, that gives the U.S. even more leverage in future trade talks. The U.S. economy is far larger and more powerful than Canada’s, and in the long run, they need us more than we need them.\n\t5.\tReducing America’s Trade Deficit – If fewer goods are exported to Canada, that means more products stay in the U.S. This helps lower dependence on foreign markets and could even stabilize prices for American consumers.\n\nBottom Line: Canada’s Move Hurts Them More Than It Hurts the U.S.\n\nIf Canada wants to put tariffs on U.S. goods, let them. In the long run, it pushes America to be more self-reliant, strengthens our industries, and forces Canada to pay the price for their own policies.\n\nAt the end of the day, America has the stronger economy, better resources, and more trade options—Canada needs U.S. trade more than we need theirs. If they want to make American goods more expensive, they’ll feel it a lot more than we will.

What if, The reason whyTrump is so eager to please Putin because Russia played a key role in helping him win the presidency ? manipulating the system and shaping public opinion through a massive online troll campaign and widespread disinformation? If that’s the case, he might feel indebted to Putin, starting with his actions on Ukraine, then moving on to lifting sanctions on Russia, even if it means harming U.S. allies in the process.hmm

Now Americans can find out exactly what it means to vote for teflon Don. All those tarrifs he imposes will be passed onto the American consumer. Funny how NONE of that was made known just prior to the American presidential election. Teflon Don was just waiting to drop it like a bomb after he took office. I feel sorry for the people it's going to hurt.

I wonder if this was the same type of speech he gave when he seized the bank accounts of those farmers and workers that had a peaceful protest, remember that. Look at him trying to pander to the uneducated, brainwashed, CNN junkies. When they give the super long explanation about this and that and little more of this and a little more of that, means they are desperate and reaching. Its funny I read some of the comments from so called American Veterans stating that they stand with this or that, but not your own country...Think about that. I am also retired military.

Wall Street Journal is being way too kind. Trump is a dumb ass with the temperament of a mean 3rd grader that was held back a year. All countries should look out for their own best interest when dealing with Americans while Trump and Musk are running the country into the ground. Treat Trump like a suspect Russian asset that is going to undermine your country.
2025-03-04 0
Just because he is speaking nicely scripted it doesn’t mean he is a good leader look at the Canada it’s not that good country, what he did to you during Covid . You need to choose different leader for better Canada ??.
2025-03-04 0
Isn't it reciprocal tarriff? Meaning they just level the tarriff other countries rate to US? Or its more
2025-03-04 0
18:03 \nTarget: We’re paying tariffs due to purchasing from these foreign suppliers. We have a choice: Find a domestic supplier with comparable prices or pay the increase to tariffs or the smaller increase from switching to domestic. As such, there’s only one thing to do to maintain the profit margin. That thing is raise prices in our domestic locations.\n\nAlso Target: We could also make public statements about the products we sell and what it’s like trying to find an adequate domestic buyer — but if we say something that makes the President’s decision look bad, dear leader might do something even worse for our company and actually cause problems for the CEOs.\n\nStill Target: In the mean time, we’ll wait and see how loudly people complain about prices and wages before we do anything drastic (I.e., anything at all).

Well said. I love the USA, I have relatives who live there and in all the years of a beautiful relationship with the people of America I have never seen this situation. Mr. Trump you seem to want to conquer and divide relationships at any cost, even with people who care about you. You sabotage yourself and those who are loyal to you. I'm not sure if you understand the implications of your decisions. But I will say respectfully, there are no winners in a trade war, nor is it you that has the final say on the worlds outcome. This is God's world not yours and not ours. I'm really disappointed to see American people and Canadians hurting because of whatever the point of all of this means. But Canada is strong and we will stand up for our country. The American people are strong and they were strong before you became the President. Working together, we can take care of each other for our families and our country.
2025-03-04 0
I don’t understand the rationale behind Trump’s actions. I mean it’s a given he’s an idiot, but given that context, what is his idiotic idea?
2025-03-04 0
I don't care what side of the fence you sit on. I did not need to hear this man speak to already know Canada was, but may yet be, our greatest ally and trading partner. I have no idea what possessed Mr. Trump to decide to stab our allies in the back, but it was not something good. 27.5% of voting age adults voted for him. How many of them were serenaded by hollow promises and a good slogan. Perhaps all of the mud slinging and Russian media interference helped? If you add in our more studious teenagers, truly reformed felons, and immigrants who actually deserve a gold card, that number plummets to less than 25%. I won't ask people to wake up, if you are reading this you are already more than capable of finding out that I speak only the hard truth. This means less than a quarter of america wanted this. This means your vote and opinions DO count. I know it is incredibly difficult to reach for and find answers in a world where your president or primary candidate throws 'fake news' in your face on a regular basis. He is actually telling the truth. When he is not telling you is that he is a primary enabler of 'fake news'. To him, only his word is law, only his opinion matters, only he deserves to be on top, and he deserves authority over all of your lives. Do the right thing, we all have a civil duty to understand our candidates to the very best of our ability. When a man has been convicted of dozens of felonies, and we tell you that this is only what we were willing to expose. You may want start believing us. The genuine facts of his past are unilaterally corrupting to our children and good people alike. Do not let the american people repeat their mistakes, force Mr. Trump to atone for his mistakes. No not empower him to sweep them under the rug for the sake of his own arrogance, because that is exactly what he is doing by trying to dismantle the CIA and FBI. These two institutions are shining examples of America's pursuit of freedom and justice. Freedom to keep billionaires from corrupting the morals of our children. Freedom to know that the rule of law is immutable, our constitution is not just a paper with fancy traditional sentiment. Even if the law may sometimes be bent for the sake of decency, forgiveness, and the pursuit of 'united we stand', our constitution cannot. Amendments require the FULL support of nearly all Americans, not 27.5% of unrestricted adults.

From Massachusetts. We do not want this either!!!!!?. We stand with Canada more than our own government….meaning this President who got elected with less than a majority vote. Even his supporters are raging against him. I wish that there was something more that we could do as individual American citizens.?? I will pray for this insanity to end.
2025-03-04 0
How about trade between Canadian provinces? First, we should remove interprovincial tariffs. I live in BC so I paid extra tax the Alberta oil much more than American. What a shame, especially liberal under Justin. I think the Conservatives should govern Canada. ?? I mean simple thing liberal was good last 9years then keep liberal otherwise, another party must govern our true north Canada.

If you watch CNN ? you are part of the problem LOL check on WHO pays them to spin the narrative!\n\nWar? Dictator ? Those are some strong and exaggerated words. As a diplomat he should know better ? just protect the borders like a good neighbor and you won’t have any issues … I think the US will be ok. \n\nCanada ?? has been an open border, ask all your DoorDash and Uber drivers in the US where they are coming from !!!! They all say Canada… Indians, Turkish, Palestine, Hispanics… quit lying ?\n\nJust because he speaks gently doesn’t mean he ain’t full of ?\n\n“Donald” uhmm President Trump .. homeboy shows little respect … for the president the entire country chose.

Day one of Trump's grand stupidity, I mean tariff plan.
2025-03-04 0
I'll tell you what it's really about. Trump means Little Horn in the book of Daniel. He's the son of perdition and the lawless one. He IS the AC. It will be revealed halfway through the Tribulation period. It's soon.

Justin knows all about policies that raise costs on essentials, harm national security, and impede access to natural resources, and harm families. he's been doing it for years. When he says we are all going to pull together he means he is going to raise taxes.
2025-03-04 0
Supposed to happen. Read your Bible. I mean come on.. I’m not even educated and I can see between the lines. beware of actions
2025-03-04 0
I mean just cut off all energy supply immediately until he pull off the policy and sell it to other countries. US will find its own way out.
2025-03-04 0
We must get rid of Trump, Vence, Musk, ect.. ASP by any means. ☠️☠️☠️
2025-03-04 0
Polite does not mean weak.\nI wonder if Trump's government can be taught this in time.
2025-03-04 0
WWCDD? I just hope we all remember the hard times we have had to go through together, the exploitation of white males going blackface will never be overlooked. Justin we stand with you (as an American), I am willing to overlook your blackface picture. Yes, you have made some horrible decisions but that doesn't mean we are not with you! We will get through this together!!!!!

I maybe an ignorant on politics , but what happens when USA , well not USA but the Trump administrations has caused so much damage to the country to the point where other maybe most of his allies start taking responses such as that of Canada , and escalate to the point where perhaps USA lose most of his allies at least important allies such as Canada, the support of the global geopolitics , I Maine that scenario for a moment wouldn't that give Trump an excuse to align even more openly with Putin? I mean why would Trump want that at all who knows but he is certainly aligning with Russia just not openly at least that's what a lot of these decisions he has made recently seem to suggest I mean a lot of the consequences of those decisions and acting really seem to benefit someones agenda and to me a politics ignorant seems to be Putin ... Am I too crazy for thinking and feelings like that???
2025-03-04 0
I’d use that closest ally comment very loosely Mr dictator, erm I mean Mr Castro Jnr.
2025-03-04 0
Tbh not a fan of tariffs but now Canada just announced war on drug smugglers which means Trump was right
2025-03-04 0
N what you mean y'all Canadian dnt want to hurt us the United States citizens really are y'all threaten us
2025-03-04 0
Let's be perfectly clear, here: The United States, leaving her markets WIDE OPEN -- as if a woman flinging her legs open and apologizing if she can't 'service' everyone in the crowd -- for EIGHTY YEARS and our workers, engineers, factory builders, etc., etc., all just watching our jobs float off to other shores...is OVER.\n> As is to be expected, Trudeau is keeping up appearances. \n> About THREE-FOURTHS of Canada's exports are converted to CASH inside the United States. \n> That means JOBS for Canadians, paychecks for Christmas time and tax revenues for Ottawa.\n> Yes, the US really does need Canada. We need Mexico. (We don't need Communists like China.)\n> But we have SACRIFICED our most vital naturally-occurring need: our personal and industrial productivity and creativity. \n> The United States, thanks to Her ideas on governance and empowerment of the People, invented and created the modern world that, now, almost 8 billion people expect (maybe closer to 6 billion of the 8+). \n> We have suffered unspeakably for the past -- at least -- 50 years as more and more of our ingenuity and creativity that once fueled our production has disappeared in the name of keeping the world free.\n> Enough. \n> The world WILL change. We can either accept China's version of Soviet Communism, relinquishing all global empowerment for whatever the CCP feels like, today.\n> Or we can bite the bullet and allow the People of the United States to restore what we sacrificed for the stability of a free world, starting about 80 years ago.\n> Either way, Canada will not go back to the way things were.\n> They can be better. But not like before. Period.
