Every single country has huge tariffs against our country. All Trump wants is for them to pay us the same we pay them. Why any taxpayer would be upset is against it is beyond me. Course Trudeau just said he was going to sacrifice his citizens in a forever war that is already lost. Thank God Trump will protect our citizens and just wants a even playing field. Canada has gotten away with robbing us long enough.

Trump doesn't care who he hurts. He and Vance stand by Putin! Trump should have negotiated with Canada and not threatened to start a war with Us.. more than a trade war. Trump wants to help Putin take Ukraine and then he hopes his buddy Putin will help annex Canada! It will be war.. we will not give Canada to backstabbers and murderers!

I wonder if Trump is trying to manufacture a war with Canada to justify us taking them over like he wants. That's about the only thing that makes a trade war with Canada makes sense (not that it's OK)

Canadian government has made Canadians paralyzed for decades with high tax rates, made worst business decisions emptied citizens pockets to fill outsiders and their own. Instead of making Canadians rich you have made us poor. I don't disagree to standup for yourself but our foundation is the weakest. If you want to change something think of Canadians make things easier...STOP making admissions hard for professionals pay more wages where its needed and stop increasing minimum wages without improving the lifestyle of people. A 16 yr old making minimum wage and don't even know what to do with the money improve the quality of life. Make businesses boom by helping them with easier access to grants and business approvals. Help investors to grow and help middle class to become investors, make import export much easier. Better laws to protect investors...help those who are growing the economy not dinging them with more and more taxes. This tariff war is going to hurt us more than anyone else. Us poor Candians will have to pay for this hurt our children and our seniors. And that's exactly what Trump and Elon want. To the next Canadian PM - HELP CANADIANS! LET LIVE AND LET GROW...

This is how we treat our friends and allies now. It's as if Trump has chosen to go to war against the American people directly, ruining our friendships like a jealous mate who wants to isolate you from his friends. The relationship between Canada and the US is because of Trudeau. He isn’t getting his way so he is making a huge mistake with his disrespect toward our Great President Trump. Canadians want Trudeau to step down. \nHow do I know? I have a huge number of relatives there. My mother was born there and my dad served honorably in the Royal Canadian Navy during the second World War.\nTrudeau is and always has been hateful toward Canadians. Canadians do not respect or like him. \nBy the way… we are boycotting CNN.

I am a French Canadian. I did not hear it From Trudeau in English but I heard it in French, the real reason of the economic war is annexation. Fentanyl, immigration was just a Casus Belli. Trump want to put us on our knees and beg to join the US. We will have federal elections soon and we know that Trump will try to influence the outcome of the elections like Chine, Russia or India. We know has Canadian that USA is not a friend anymore. Trump is the dumbest of American President of the history of USA. Americans citizens get rid of Trump and Vance before it is too late.

If you voted for Trump, you are directly responsible for this. Kamala would’ve at least respected the constitution, and relationships with allies. Trump is a danger to global peace and stability, he has only been in office for 2 months has been tearing up everything you stand for day by day. My sympathies go to the US citizens that didn’t want trump but are now losing their global standing because of him. If he continues as he has done so far, I expect escalation and a war that nobody wants.

I'm not American. I grew up hearing lots of hate bout USA cuz the US doesn't exactly have a good rep in foreign policies - always bullying other nations, starting wars for oil etc. but I've always preferred USA not just for the world order it brings, it allows different voices, criticism & scolding towards its leaders compared to China, Russia & North Korea. \n\nin the US, you can talk bad bout politicians in power, or probably make movies bout these kind of things like US invading other countries for oil, or testing out some cruel AI military robots on humans (movie name: Monsters of Man), & you won't be persecuted. but after looking at a bunch of executive orders Trump has signed, the way he (& JD Vance) treated Zelenski & Canada, I don't know if I still feel the same bout USA anymore.\n\nif USA doesn't wanna continue spending on Ukraine, perhaps USA shouldn't have sweet talked Ukraine into denuclearization thru the 1994 Budapest Memorandum. that's what you get for mendling with other countries' affairs. by stopping US aid & wanting a new mineral deal, Trump's refusing to follow the Memorandum (I added this sentence thru edit as I can't reply to the comment below).\n\nunderstandably, US & UK don't need to deploy troops in Ukraine as the security assurance in the memorandum wasn't clearly defined, but it also didn't mention that Ukraine should pay the US back financially, nor any mineral concessions. \n\nTrump always wanting a purely 1 sided deal will only isolate USA from more allies.

What has Canada and European countries done to actually try and end the death and destruction from this war? Europe buys energy from Russia, and Canada is only giving 650 million dollars in weapons over three years, while America has supplied hundreds of billions of dollars in aid and military equipment. Zelensky goes around the world dressed in a military outfit with no desire to stop the slaughter of humans on both sides. There have been thousands of wars where, eventually, one side has to accept the reality that they can not win, Zelensky is unwilling to see this. President Trump was elected because we want his AMERICA FIRST AGENDA, and with us saddled with 36 TRILLION dollars of debt, this war needs to stop.

If look at another perspective, if Trump did not impose tarrifs, then Canada will continue to sell the cars back to US for high profits. Trump mentioned about this, he is not happy. As a Marine Corps Veteran, a die hard patriot to the USA, and as a Trump Supporter; I do not support this. We shouldn't Impose tariffs on one of our closest allies. It should also be stated I'm not a fan of Trudeau at all, but I commend him for helping out with the fentanyl situation. Also I don't like how Trump is Siding with Russia. However I do understand his stance on not wanting to continue to send Money to Ukraine to keep the war going on longer, As we have sent them Billions of Dollars in the last three years. However as a US citizen I also have to state the the US has a history of supporting countries that were invaded in the past, which we have done up to this point in Ukraine. A lot of us Americans remember learning about the tariff wars in history class that ended up in deciding fair trade was the better route. I fear we’re about to learn the same lesson again…\n\nAs far as the drug trade goes apparently the GOV doesn’t spend enough time on the internet because the cartels are no longer just in Mexico they’re in the USA and in Canada. They have learned the Canadian border is a lot easier to cross and they can get into BC pretty easily due to relaxed immigration policies In Canada.. they probably don’t actually know where the drugs are coming from or where they’re being manufactured entirely. The cartels are probably a step ahead of them at the moment. \n\nI can’t believe the auto industry lobbyists were not instructed to go full send on the detriment of the opposite position taken from the NAFTA. The only thing I can see is auto sales are slumping and maybe they can blame this on the tariff policy for massive restructuring. \n\nI kind of understand wanting to negotiate with Mexico because they probably buy less American goods than Americans buy Mexican goods (drugs excluding) but I’m guessing Canada is a better customer of American goods than Americans are of Canadian goods. Why would you want to upset a good partner, customer, and ally!? It’s Beyond my comprehension…. If Trump was really smart he’d convince some factories to actually invest in Mexico with cooperation from the Mexican government investing in efficient transportation from the manufacturing sectors to the American border and the coasts for distribution. This would likely really help their economy and change the whole dynamic of all the things Trump has issues with. Fix it at the source not try to treat the symptoms.

For the vast majority of Americans, including Trump who don't know this: \n- 90% of all aluminum used in the USA comes from Canada. \n- 80% of the potash used to grow food on US farms comes from Canada. \n- Steel is made in Canada. - Uranium is exported from Canada. \n- Minerals needed for electronics are exported from Canada. The only alternatives are China and Russia. \n- 60% of all imported oil in the US comes from Canada. \n- Electricity produced in Canada is delivered to the states of New York, Vermont, Maine and over 20 other US states. We’ll soon find out if convicted felon Trump and his supporters need Canada when that electricity gets turned off. If Trump can rip our mutually-negotiated agreements so can Canada. We did not ask for this economic war nor did we start it. Trump did. \n \nIt's also time to super-tax every pound of US coal being exported through Roberts Bank Super-port in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. The American coal exported through Roberts Bank does not even pay a provincial carbon tax like all BC residents pay. Canadians are about to show Trump what happens when you consistently lie and stab your best customer and neighbour in the back. We are not afraid of Trump. Canada is the second-largest country in the world by land area and we have the longest coastline in the world, with over 243,000 kilometers of shoreline. We will continue expanding our trade with Pacific Rim countries, Europe, Mexico and beyond. They all need and want our lumber, minerals, oil and gas, grass fed beef, and the dependable, respectful trading partner that we are.

Trump should really look hard into the last time the US went to war with CANADA it really didn't end well for US. We are really only nice when treated with respect as we treat others. This does not mean we are a push over or that we can be bullied. My family has a lot of US friends and we are sure that don't want this either...but rest assured we will not back down....and we do not want to become part of your USA Trump by any means. I earned my permanent resident status back in 2001 and joined US ARMY during war in terror and served for 8 years. While serving, I was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in the middle of hot zones, dodging grim reaper's radar for many, many times. I concur any monetary penalty against anyone for not having health insurance is outrageous. I could be wrong but I believe this aspect of the ACA was never implemented under President Obama and it was indefinitely suspended or revoked by President Trump. I don't know why she was asked to be escorted out, but by her own words the people in the crowd were throwing questions at her as to whether she had a bomb under her cloak. Well, whether she knew it or not, she provoked the crowd by wearing the mark of a Moslem - her cloak. Also, by going to the rally dressed the way she was, she knew before hand that she'd be treated that way. On her part, I see that as provocation. Had she gone plainly dressed or attired like everybody else, there would have been no adverse reaction toward her.
