Eastern countries culture will never be watered down, yet we aren’t allowed to keep our westernised countries. I have no issue with being a multi-cultural country (Australia), however I take issue with multiculturalism. Immigrants of the past, would move to a westernised country and adopt the culture, lifestyle , mix with the locals and be proud to be one of them, that’s a multi-racial society. Multiculturalism on the other hand is Muslims and Indians etc that are known for not assimilating, instead living in enclaves and recreating their home country within our country. Why should these people who have zero interest in our culture , people and way of life be welcomed into our westernised countries where all they care about is using our resources? It’s absolutely absurd our governments allow this to happen! In Australia, Indians are the second highest intake, soon to be number one. There are so many of them, soon Australia will be India and Australians of all nationalities will be the minority in our own country. They buy up all the food businesses in the area, and fire all the non-Indians, they take up all the jobs in IT and low paying jobs due to being cheap labour. In teams, they ostracised the non-Indians on the team. Aussie suburbs now look like parts of India with them having multiple local fb networking groups where hoards of them take over the local park, playing their music loudly on the weekends. Ignorant people see them as mild mannered, they don’t see the dangers of how racist they can be to non-Indians and how rapidly they take over areas. When they become the majority in Australia, the non-Indians are going to be pushed out of their country. Unlike other migrants (with the exception of Muslims) they refuse to blend in and co-exist and become Aussies. They plan to overtake and destroy our countries into versions of their home country hell holes.

Multiculturalism is the dumbest idea ever. It simply can't work. Most countries and cultures in the world fight within their borders and with their neighbours. What can one expect when they are all mixed together in one country and they bring all that cultural baggage with them? It doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

racism is just so deeply ingrained in the german mind that at every little interaction with germans, no matter how liberal they are, you are reminded that you are an outsider and will be treated accordingly. Rule of the game is work, pay taxes, and don't ever dare to mix any non-german element to their culture. Anywhere on earth if some foreign person tries to speak the local language, the locals feel pleased if not honored, but here, no, germans don't want you to blemish their beautiful language by trying to speak it and they switch to english when they speak with you, as if the world should thank them because they know english.

Racism is a cultural poison based on the basal ganglia fear of outsiders (xenophobia). The cure is introducing children to foreign languages/culture from an early age, hopefully the kids can mix with other kids speaking another language.

Sounds like you are speaking of permanent tourist who are looking for the free stuff and what you can get out of the country. The fact that to live in Canada you need to understand how Canadian society works. Most people from none Western Countries are not interested in integration in the Canadian society because they don't change how they lived from their home country. Mass immigration and diversity is not working because of the people moving into the country because of how different cultures don't mix.

When did the world decide every country should be multi culture ? It hasn`t been encouraged before so why now? And how is it possible to turn up in a country in numbers that defeat any realistic checks being made on arrival or later? Essentially, they are finding ways to exploit their entry into the country, unlike my parents who had to wait patiently for years to come to Canada. I belong to an ethnic group. In the 1960s, when my parents immigrated to Canada, only a limited number of people from our ethnic group were allowed in. My parents were compelled to assimilate into Canadian culture to make friends. I had hoped to marry someone from my own ethnic group, but there were few eligible women. Therefore, both my brothers and I married Anglo-Saxon women. While I take pride in my parents' background, I do not live in a segregated community of my own kind. Instead, I reside in a mixed area and have no intention of bringing over 100,000 people from my village back home to Canada. Canada needs to restrict immigration until we get a handle on our housing and social services levels. Also, not all new immigrants should be allowed to move to Toronto or Vancouver. They should be sent to live in provinces such as Saskatchewan or Manitoba for the first 10 years. I am sure they need skilled workers. Also, would be forced to assimilate like my family did back in the 1960s because there would not be a massive enclave from their own culture in one area. Also, the reason my parents moved to Canada was their former country was Balkanized into different ethnic groups that exploded into a massive civil war. Canada might be in danger of that in the future. Certain ethnic groups don't tolerate certain policies that have happened in Canada. When they get to a large enough number all hell will break lose as they will have to culture and political power to fight back.

So many towns that were once beautiful have been ruined by immigration. The way the government has poorly planned immigration is the problem. It's not a cross section of culture's coming in - it's too many people from countries that have no plan whatsoever to assimilate or even treat Canadians with respect or gratitude. The real feeling, essence, the once awesome cultural mix is gone. We have so many coming here now who literally act and speak as though they are here to just take over and that will backfire for them. We need to live peaceably, fairly and respectfully with prosperity for all. God speed ????✝️?

Trust is you may need immigration, but that is white European immigration, as it used to be back in the days. Give it two generations of mixing and the third generation will look exactly like you. Not to mention we share pretty much most of our cultures and will embrace each other.

I lived in Brampton until middle of 2009. There seemed to be a good mix of cultures and lots of diversity then. I'm surprised to see that it changed so much. I'm okay with people from wherever and why not India, but it's disturbing that there are so many drug addicts and homeless people. Is it the immigration or is it because of the kind of people who stayed in Brampton? Did they stay because they had no choice? It makes no sense though that so many people left this city. Well, I left it too. Edmonton is a much nicer place than anywhere in the GTA.

This immigrants are mostly from one indian state ie Punjab. In Punjab every young person just have to dream i.e. to move to Canada. Even Indians from other indian state dint want to live in Brampton anymore, Let me tell u most indians dont want to leave in isolated community but want to leave in mixed community with local people and adopting their culture. But ur Canadian govt policies and support towards khalistaani movement make many punjabi people to move to canada. Im not saying anything about immigration like it is good or bad but one thing is clear its all ur Canadian govt policies which are responsible for this scale of immigration.

At this point, it's not immigration anymore, it's invasion. So many don't assimilate, they just strictly stick to their communities and their ghettos, and don't mix with the rest or learn about Canadian values. It's not racist or xenophobic to want to preserve the country as it's always been. I'm from Québec so I sure do know what it is to be called all sorts of names for wanting to preserve our culture and language.

When it comes to immigration, most people talk of diversification instead of integration and assimilation. They dont love their culture and identity. Diversity in culture for me is like mixing fuel and air and flame, or, to not start a fire, getting rid of something to fit in others.

Same thing in Richmond BC. English not required.\nIf immigrants arrive in dribs a drabs, they are forced to mix with the locals and their culture.\nIf they arrive in a mass, they form their own community and create their own mini country.\nI went to a shopping mall in Richmond and could feel the hostility, they did not want me there, I had previously been warned about that by a Chinese work colleague.

The situation is that; Canadian population is in major decline post boomers. Canada is increasing the population via immigration to keep up with economic demands, nothing more. This has nothing to do with culture, religion, race. \nAll to do with money and increasing economy for Canadian government. Not true for everyone, but for some yes and I worry about their own retirement because retirement in Canada without lots of savings means you might be homeless or forced to live with family even if it’s not your preference. \n\n without investments and savings, it will be hard to beat inflation. Getting into debt and getting bad credit can mean not getting an apartment. \n\nThe birth rate is going down because it is expensive to have kids and income isn’t enough to match with living costs. Getting help from government is really not something everyone gets access too. One person might get housing support, 10 others may get nothing. Different governments offer different things. Programs end and change often. \n\nIn Canada definitely bargain and shop around for good phone plans. one idea is to get a pay as you go until “Black Friday” then every year or two when your good offer expires there will be many others. It’s the time with the best deals saving almost half. For instance, I have 50 gigs for $25 for two years from a large provider. Telephone companies are the one place where people must bargain and even ask for better deals as a must.\n\nThe people you see living in big houses, will have kids that can’t afford the same. This is because prices keep rising. The system protects the very rich, but will also drain the middle class often within 1-2 generations. Do not link your business to your personal finance, or creditors can take your home. Some not knowing this lose everything and rich people know better. \n\nPeople live until they are very old, so inheritance is pretty much meaningless to rely on, so no matter what your parents have you must hustle in life. \n\nI do think Canada can become what we want over time. Citizens need to fight the trend of great community spaces, restaurants and bars going out of business and dumb corporations move in with bad boring restaurants. Like a McDonald’s where maybe a popular cultural hang out was. \n\nPart of the problem is a lack of mixed income housing areas, so it’s hard to stay living where you grew up. Artists and musicians help make a city great, but many cannot afford to live here.\n\nFamilies and communities staying together means more support for those with young kids and older relatives when they need help. Yet how is this possible in a city that is always pushing out lower income people when wealthier people desire the area. \n\nIn Toronto, every time you move you have to take what is available and that might mean moving an hour away from everyone you know. This weakens communities. I think this is a wonderful idea. I truly feel most Muslims would be happier living in Muslim countries. The Palestinians have a right to live in Israel. We live in multi cultural societies of mixed people, races and religions and no nation or monocultural states allowed. As for terrorism it's part and parcel and you just have to accept dying.

I love Canada and I love the fact its mixing so many cultures in together, but we just can't keep up at the current pace. Another thing lots of people have an issue with is the lack of diversity in the immigrants. Our services and lifestyles are being strained to the point where people are getting sick of it, put a cap on each country and only allow that cap to be broken for asylum seekers/refugees. This isn't a cultural/race issue either and people who say this shouldn't be called racist, I mean its honestly insane to call it racist when the very immigrants you bring in are making the same points.
