People who do not know how the customs duty system works think that the customs duty is paid by the country where the goods are imported, but this is not true. The importer company pays the customs duty in the country that imports. The importer company collects the tax it pays from the people of that country by adding it to the price of the goods it sells in that country. Therefore, a 25% customs duty will cause the price of the products sold in the United States to increase. The increase in product prices will also cause inflation to increase. One thing to note is if there are high tarrifs on one country..as a business person I would choose the second lowest country to get the same product(if the product is rare and unique to that country obviously gov will exclude that from tarrifs)...why would I pay 25% extra...\n\nSince US has money many countries are willing to do business...So it's finally a loss to Colombia or any other country.

Yes I was, after Trump got elected no. Disabled human rights are horrible here and as compensation for lawsuits can be capped in cases that is unlikely to change. I should state the government had to pay me $25,000 dollars for violating my rights (this cost me $35,000+ in legal fees!) so I know of what I speak. It was the same when I moved provinces. In terms of mobility my fate was better in the 4 third world countries I visited after my stroke, there are no busses in loads of places here as we can’t “afford” them. Why do disabled people struggle to get a family doctor when they move provinces? She got no help here and her child was in our system by then and her husband has been paying taxes since I got him a job here 3 day a after landing.
