Canada is over-regulated and over-taxed, and turns increasingly to the public sector to perform essential services, which greatly inflates the price of those services. But in order to pay the workers they need to raise taxes, which negatively impacts private sector growth, investment, and profitability. It is not possible to sustain the growing public sector at the expense of a dwindling private sector for long. Scaling back the public sector payroll is difficult, however, because it's just not as easy as laying people off due to their powerful unions, and the fact that this would be seen as a signal of a weakening economy, further scaring off potential investors. I would propose that no new public sector positions be created without eliminating old ones (essentially halting spending and taxation increases without creating a massive unemployment problem) until the year 2050 so that the balance between public and private sectors can re-establish itself.

They keep talking about losing a huge part of the workforce with mass deportations. So Americans aren’t looking for work? I’ve worked for Amazon for 3 and a half years now. I transferred from Va back home to ny last October. In va Americans are being hired. In ny Amazon is literally hiring nothing but Haitians. We hire a hundred and twenty people every year between July and January for prime and peek. I promise you without any iota of exaggeration, every last new hire is Haitian. I know of plenty of ppl who have applied to no avail. They really need to say if you’re American don’t apply. They get tax credits for hiring them. And because of this they do little to no work because they know nothing will happen to them. So all of the work falls on us . Out of the 120 new hires this year and last year 115 are under 27. They try to alienate us , intimidate us,and are extremely rude to anyone who isn’t Haitian. These are young people who are on straight gang time. I’m a black man telling you this and I’m from the street. It took me 6 years to finally make 20 dollars an hr, they come right over making the same as me while I’m working harder to accommodate their lack of productivity and at the same time hope I don’t lose my job for standing up to their rudeness and intimidation tactics. just deceived by a new Indian immigrant, and it feels terrible. About 10 days ago, I posted an advertisement for a parking spot rental in front of my apartment condo. I then received a call from someone who said he had just moved here from India and needed a parking spot. I explained that parking spots here are rented on a monthly basis. He said that was fine, but he wanted to first pay only for the days from October 24 to October 31, and then he would pay for the following month. I thought that was acceptable, so I agreed.However, on October 31, he didn’t make the payment as expected. When I asked, he said he would pay on November 1. The next day, when I hadn’t received the payment, I followed up, and he promised to pay the following morning. By noon on November 2, I still hadn’t received the payment, so I messaged him again, but he didn’t respond. It was only later in the evening when he finally replied, saying he no longer needed the parking spot and that I could rent it to someone else. Then i asked how to deal with the rest of the payment of these days for the parking he already used, no reply anymore. At that moment, I really felt deceived. Why so much like getting smart with others?

I have been living in Munich since 2021 and I've never experienced any unpoliteness from locals. I came here with 0 German and first year I spoke only English. I'm spending a lot of time and effort learning German. And it'd be great if the government supported learning it. But I'm not complaining, because it was my choice to move here. Nobody promised me that it'd be easy. Regarding friends, it's not so easy to find new friends as an adult even in my home country, so I'd not say that Germans are unfriendly. I can't blame Germans, they already have connections like friends and family, and many of them don't need new friends. But you can try your luck with other expats, many of them also want to find friends.

The liberals will lose if they don’t do something with the international students I think that’s the number one source spot for everybody we want them gone. There is way too many. We don’t have the infrastructure and they’re taking jobs away from our own Canadians. Is there a way that they can be forced to work up north or somewhere, where work is needed not in the highly populated areas. Maybe they can be promised that they stay there for 10 years otherwise they’ll run back.

Canada added more immigrants than they can produce jobs or housing. Carbon tax and many other taxes and programs created also issue. We need cut spending especially so many social programs on tax payers dollars. For those who are already here, if promises were made guaranteeing them that they could stay after completing school, then those promises should be fulfilled. However, all immigration from India needs to be banned for at least 5 years, and then allowed in small numbers after that.

You need people to fill up roles in corporate jobs to boost production, because Canada is seriously behind in technology. Healthcare needs serious people too. There is no point in bringing promising doctors and healthcare practitioners who can improve healthcare services and the number of capable doctors here, but have them working low wage jobs instead to make ends meet. That is unfair to those people and unfair to Canadians who need good medical services in lieu of the taxes that they pay. Canadian Experience is a joke and a very cheap trick played by the incumbent government to swindle good, deserving people of their hard-earned money.\n\nEnough of bringing in refugees into Canada and destroying the economy by giving them handfuls of money paid by Canadians themselves. Trudeau has ruined Canada with its open door immigration policy. When trump was elected I rember him saying Canada welcomes you and ?he had people coming from roxem road like crazy . What was he thinking with his over immigration. And then there’s so called diploma mills from no name colleges made things even more worse. Canada needs to send international students back to India when they are fi disused there diploma . A study visa was never a promise to permit residency. If that didn’t make things worse you had the so called international students lined up at food banks to get free food how embarrassing that food is meant for people\nLiving below the poverty line and as a student on the application you have to check that little box saying you have enough money to feed yourself.

I'm amazed by the check list that goes on in people's minds. You can't predict the future and even your Soviet union stopped at 5 year plans. I left Canada on a whim in 1994. I never thought I couldn't come back if I wanted or needed to. My bet is you met a guy in Serbia (let's say) and want to be in a reasonable place where it's financially possible to build a home and start a family. They didn’t work 40 years in the USA either. And those Canadian dollars don’t stretch far in the States. Tricky, eh!\n\nSometimes, countries struggle to manage pensions. The country might be too big, its borders too porous, its economy too fragile, and its people too ready to abandon it. Yet, Canada’s natural resources, like Ontario’s 20% of the world’s fresh water, guarantee its revenue. That will be gold soon enough, and you can bet the USA, the global superpower, will want a piece of it.\n\nThe immigrants coming to Canada are smart.

If Canadians are unhappy about immigration, that literally means it’s an indisputable scientific fact that there are immense issues with our system. The dark and disgusting side of this that doesn’t get talked about is how many newcomers leave shortly after spending everything they have to boost our GDP before they realize they’ll never get the opportunity or life they were promised here. I am an Indian and every day I see ads from Canadian universities promising me work visas and top quality education. I also get calls from agents time to time saying my alma matter is more than enough to land me a job there and they just need a certain amount of money to send me to canada with work permit without any college enrollment.

It all comes down to how many babies Canada makes versus the cost of social services. We have anti-family systems, crushing living costs and aging population. Our socialist system needs tax dollars to fund “free healthcare” and other election promises that require funding. So, Canada realized this, and the bandaid approach is to fill the country with young immigrants. To hear this is about population growth is flat out, wrong.

It's multifaceted. Liberals opened up the flood gates with policies making it very easy for people to immigrate to Canada and increased immigration numbers. It's no longer tied to what Canada can support based on services, resources, and housing. It's simply: Come on in. Second, I've watched a few videos on Youtube showing how immigration is almost a form of trafficking at this point. Immigration companies are making money hand over fist promising the moon to students and people who want a better life and when these poor people get here they end up in crowded lodging with horrible job prospects. A lot of this goes back to the government laxing immigration policies and not being firm on how much we can bring in. This tsunami of immigration has impacted health services, governmental services, and the lives of Canadians. We need to do this smart or not at all. It's frustrating and the frustration needs to be put where it's due, on government and policy but it's also impacting the people and community around us. :( It really isn't the Canada of 10 years ago.

An immigrant student told me she was lured by the ads in India to move to Canada, they promised housing, and a job. When she got to Canada she had to room with 4 people in a 1 bedroom apt, worked the graveyard shift at Tims and couldnt get in to the classes she needed at school, she returned to India bc she said her quality of life was actually better there. As a Filipino watching the economy of USA from afar, I think that no other politician has shown significant concern to help its economy except for Trump. He's pretty bold and not scared to voice out issues that make the democrats uncomfortable. It is not for me to decide who others will vote. However, I see a leader in Trump and he's not afraid to fight back. It's only a matter of time for the Chinese to create its own microchips that are of novelty and prestige. Their economy is of course stagnant as of the moment because many foreign companies pulled out from China. Nevertheless, do you think it's going to be forever? They will cope and soon establish theirs given their population and government financial backing. Trump was right to put trade war against them to regulate foreign trade as it did with Japan. All countries will suffer when the dollar loses the international prestige. It is fastly losing it's international reputation as of these days. If this won't halt, imagine a future where the Chinese RMB will be the basis of international trade. You don't know the real plan of the Silk Road guys. Americans are conquerors and we have adjusted with their ways already. And, the Chinese are conquerors as well. Their goal is to really surpass the USA. The rise of China has benefited every ASEAN member, but greatly the former than the latter. We can adjust with their ways. However, America and Europe may not be that ready to adjust their ways for them should they surpass USA. The USA has become complacent and too liberal where individual rights, although important, have gone too far-fetched. This has created entitled individuals who think they own the world. Now, look at the Chinese. While most young Americans are busy dancing in TikTok and the likes of wasting time for entertainment, most young Chinese are studying hard and upskilling. Let's remember that America became great because of its inventions and extremely the nuclear power. Without great minds, minds that are feebled by drugs and misguided philosophies, a society will crumble. USA can use its weapons and influences against other countries, but can it hold the progress of it's rival economy for the rest of the years? You guys need a leader who is competitive and won't back down from a fight. As of these days, given only two political candidates to choose for presidency, I dare say that Trump has a higher bidding for the goodness of USA. As a Canadian - the immigration tom-foolery that is happening is just as bad up here. Our Prime Minister is a handsome idiot, he was a drama teacher before he became Prime Minister (I know, make that one make sense). He has no idea what he's doing, he's being used as a puppet for more experienced extortionists-erm-politicians. With the help of his party members and a coalition with another party, in less than ten years he has taken Canada from a great place to visit and live to basically what's happening in NY. Crime in our cities has gone up dramatically. Theft is on the rise. Homelessness and drug use is through the roof. Immigration is out of control. And our government also prioritizes immigrants and asylum seekers before born and raised Canadian citizens. As a Canadian who is tired of the nonsense that's been happening in the world this past decade, I wish our government would put on their big boy pants and do something about this uncontrolled immigration. Things are bad here too. Our government seems to keep changing policies and laws to further accomodate the insanity that is happening, I promise, not every Canadian wants these changes to happen. We are just as sick and tired of all this nonsense as our American cousins. I wouldn't be surprised if both countries at some point united in objective and worked together to fix this problem - but that's not gonna happen anytime soon as long as these dummies are in power.
