I’m a recent Indian immigrant and I’ve lived in Singapore, Malaysia, the USA, and now Canada. I’ll admit that a lot of what’s said here is true: there are far too many cases where Indians abroad show a lack of civic sense, break rules, or behave in ways that don’t respect the host country.  Personally, my family and I have always assimilated wherever we’ve lived, respecting local customs, following rules, and contributing positively to the community and I hate it when immigrants don't assimilate into the local culture and reside in their own enclaves, I mean what was the point of emigrating then?? I truly value the peace and order these countries offer, and I want to give that back. Every community has good and bad examples. The responsibility is on us as immigrants to lead by example, integrate genuinely, and show that we can be respectful, responsible citizens. That’s how perceptions change for the better. It sucks that a whole racial group can be disliked because of some bad apples — and in our case, unfortunately, there are quite a few.

The Muslim communities do not integrate. That's very UNCanadian! Get rid of them. We don't need to be harassed or humiliated. See, not all immigrants are bad. Canadians are not against immigration in this country. This immigration rule is not being enforced the way the government claims. IRCC is still handing out temporary resident visas—student visas, visitor visas, and visitor visa extensions—too easily. Students got their visas agreeing to bear the full cost of college showing proof of financial sources from home. Canadian government NEVER ever indicated it will help. In fact Canadian government has been too generous and linient in looking the other way when minimally qualified students flooded unknown colleges and schools and not exactly following the rules. Rules have to apply same to everyone. If these fake students will get away with fraud, million more will come to try the same. I have been watching you for a long time. And there is always a point you are not addressing in most of what I have heard. You will probably laugh at what I am about to say but please hear me out. The progressives running the policy’s do not only hate America for whatever reason, they hate God. They might not say that and even rebuke anyone who thinks that. The problem will not be fixed in your city until you having a big turnaround of leadership. People who are accountable to this constituents. People who love this country, not hated. Every other country Canadians have to follow immigration rules. They are breaking law. Nothing wrong with their country. We are they all coming here. 2 million going to food bank. They should be deported

Unfortunately, the Indian tourists I've seen in Thailand have shown little respect and dont follow the rules. I saw many times tourists throwing their garbage onto the beach or making a mess and leaving it. I also saw Indian men approaching married women who were with their families and treating them prostitutes, It was disgusting behaviour. If that happened in India, there would be outrage. I believe etiquette must be taught before these types of people are allowed to travel representing your country.

Because of some peoples mistakes other genuine people have to suffer. Which country will tolerate indiscipline and illegal activities. The whole world knows the truth about non-assimilating Indian behavior. Either this reporter doesn't know it or she is in perpetual denial. At my son's school during the drop-off rush in the morning, Indian parents would always, I mean literally always, as in everyday, they would stop in the middle of the street so that the wife can help their child get off their car, all while blocking traffic. In doing so, their child will not be late, but making all the other cars' children behind them late. I witness this first hand, everyday. It's like they had an exclusive Indian meeting, all agreeing to do this during the drop-off rush. It's so annoying. If we honk at them for doing this, they would cause a scene and would call us rude and racist. When all they have to do is simply follow traffic rules and regulations so that all parents can smoothly drop off their kids on time.

I fully understand and agree with why countries deny Indians visas. All Indians must remember this by-heart. India's rank in terms of per capita GDP is 140. Yes, just saying India's GDP is 3rd or 5th doesnt present the real picture. Gotta send some national guard there. People know the rules yet decide not to follow! I do construction in San francisco and many Ukrainians work with me yet every single of them went thru Mexico thru port of entry. Every single came legally. If these people don’t care about US law now, what makes anybody think they will care about it later?
