When Canadians boo the American National anthem at sporting events, please understand we love the people of the United States. It is the policies of your president that we are upset about. It is one of the ways the general public can make our voice heard on the world stage. We want the same things, strong economy, safe streets but this has gone too far. The US is isolating itself from the world. It is indeed the strongest and the richest country. But the decisions, the current admin has made will damage the United States. This is really sad to see how they divide themselves and the world. I’m a 53 year old Canadian. I went to college on an athletic scholarship & lived there for 10 years after turned professional in my sport. Why, why, why - with all the problems going on in the world right now to tackle - why would you want to start a trade war with your closest trading partner & most loyal ally? Not to mention that your list of Allies is shrinking daily. This is not going to end well for either of us. \nI just arrived home from a trip to the grocery store - making sure nothing in my cart said “ made in the USA” on it due to the new tariffs that began today. \nThe irony is, many of the states where Trump won by the biggest margin, are the states that are going to get hit the hardest from Canadian retaliation tariffs ( Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Indiana, the Dakotas - just to name a few). A lot of farmers in those states are going to be hit extremely hard with the fertilizer tax. After Canada, the next 3 largest Potash producers are Russia, Belarus & China. So , good luck \nWhen the cost of fruit & vegetables skyrocket across the US. Maybe you’ll put a little more thought into your vote 4 years from now.

You people from XYZ are really like the EU hypocrites that all you got is words. As a Canadian, I hate Trudeau and everything his government has done to the country. When I was living in Vancouver, I (and many ppl) would just drive cross the border to get gas and groceries because it's just much cheaper once you're on US soil.... I used to live in a bubble thinking that even though life is tough and it's harding to make a living here but at least it's more peaceful here than the States. Not only is Donald Trump an overly privileged, pathetic, whiney crybaby who literally folds his arms, stomps his feet, and launches an all out temper tantrum whenever he doesn't get his way or when someone else has the TV remote, he is a dangerously delusional, high stakes risk taker who wouldn't think twice about using his own mother or child as a human body shield if he thought his life were in danger. If it wasn't Trump then I'm sure it's only because he was too busy ordering the National Guard to power hose and pepper spray the 30 or so elderly nuns who had been distributing bottled water to folks demonstrating in support of Black Lives Matter on the hottest day of the year. Satisfied in his victorious battle against the nuns - 9 of whom had been hospitalized for critical injuries including the 92 year old Mother Superior who suffered massive brain bleed, swelling and concussion due to the excessive force of the power hose and an 87 year old nun who lost permanent sight in one eye due to the pepper spray - Trump had the nerve to pose for a publicity shot in front of the church while holding a Bible - UPSIDE DOWN - and scrunching and contorting his face into that hideous trademark scowl he does ever so naturally. Yep. This is the man my fellow Americans chose to represent our nation as President - a man who beats up 90 year old nuns and imposes 25% tax hikes to our ONLY FRIEND in the entire world simply for refusing to accept his invitation for statehood. In Canada, there is a lot of divisiveness between our conservative and liberal political parties. But what is incredible is how much support Trudeau holds in this trade war conflict . While his reign is nearly over, nationally all political parties have come together (in majority numbers) for a unified approach. Trump has single-handedly ostracized the United States from the rest of the world.

Wait until Trump sends his troops into Canada. MAGA , musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Putin, and North Korea are right behind him. You used to be a democracy like America was. America was once known as the United States of America. MAGA has forced the world to call that former great country Shitland.

Born in Europe, brought up and trained into my profession as a researcher, in France, in the UK, in the Middle East, in Africa, and having been a permanent resident of the USA for almost 25 years, I can state that I agree 100 with what Trudeau stated, with the exception of one little detail If Donald Trump is as Mr. Trudeau suggests, an intelligent man, than he is simply detesting all Americans... and if is able to prove me wrong than one has to accept that Mr. Trudeau is wrong in believing Mr Trump to be an intelligent man, because even a ten-year-old is understanding that this tariff war is truly stupid and will not only damage the economy but will further deplete the coffers of businesses that are essential to world growth.
