As an American, I do not want this either! I did not vote for this and I am feeling very helpless. I am a NEVER TRUMPER. Trump is a bully and a narcissist and I don’t think there is any reasoning with this man. You have to stroke his ego and I wouldn’t blame you for not playing games with our impetuous childish President. Additionally, many are stuck in the illusory effect better know as the big lie effect. If you tell a lie often enough it becomes “true”. Narcissists are dangerous people especially when they are given power. We love you Canada?? I am so incredibly sorry.

Not my place to say, i love American people as much i do for Canadians, but go out check in the world, most countries do not like America bcause of this kind of policies, aggression and hatred. No woder he has only ONE LONE friend, Putin.

Why can’t we have a real leader like this! Instead we have a belligerent egomaniac Russian asset as president. He shouldn’t have even had 10% of the vote. As an American, I've been trying to work out in Alberta as a Pipe Insulator for over five years with no response, but you guys let in other foreign nations. How about you give the people in the US citizenship if we are seeking refuge. In America, no politician is allowed to have a vision that will benefit the people and the nation. The essence of America is to be consumed by corporate America until money chooses to leave the country when America runs out of incentives to keep it on its soil. As long as the purpose of America is to keep the dollar as a world currency and make it easy for business to operate on its soil, America politicians cannot make an acceptable proposition to the Americans left behind. America is a money making machine for corporate America and an indebtedness machine for the nation and its citizens. This love affair with money will sooner or later break the country. I would not want to live down there with the pervasive American attitude. I thought my American friends were lovely people, but then we went to a restaurant together. I was flabberghasted by how they ALL spoke down to the waitress, as if she was beneath them. You can pick out the American tourists here, by how they talk to service people. I wish I could say this was a stereotype, but i live in a tourist town and see it every day.

The speech of Mr Trudeau, the way Canadians have shown solidarity for one another, today it all puts my country, The US, to shame. I am ashamed of what my government is doing and I am disgusted with the people doing it. In Mr Trump’s first term, as eclipsed as they were by the many many many actions and attitudes he imposed on us that embarrassed and hurt us as a country, there was the rare occasional decision I could at least understand even if I did not support it. Since taking office literally not one thing he has done has made sense to me as an American.
