Let us be honest, Indian students go to Canada to become a PR or a citizen! Living standard for ordinary people in India is very poor! Like Chinese, Indians want to live in western countries and bring their relatives with them! Australia has become very strict with foreign students too! You cannot jump from student visa to PR or working visa! Overstayers in AUS will soon be deported too!

Most illegal migrants spend thousands of dollars to commit the crime (entering any sovereign country illegally is simply an invasion). If they dare to enter China or any of the Arab countries this way, then who knows, they would be in heaven or hell rather than back home. All the deportees should be arrested on reaching back home for invading a foreign sovereign country and tarnishing the images of hundreds of millions of citizens of their countries who enter the USA or any other developed democratic country to study at the best of the universities, and after completion of the courses, they are not only provided the best of the jobs but also citizenship or other legal status to stay put in the countries. But these people reach their desired destination after going through rigorous educational and other processes and after a thorough background check. But in the matter of illegal immigrants, how are the victimized countries supposed to know their backgrounds? How can one be sure if they are not hardcore criminals, terrorists, spies, or even trained soldiers of enemy countries? In such uncertainty, how can the invaded countries be sure that an incident or incidents of such a large magnitude might not take place that, in comparison, the incident of 9/11 would look like the small incident of bursting firecrackers?But on one election promise, the president is, unfortunately, taking a complete U-turn that those students who do the master's and other higher studies should be retained and provided legal status to stay in the country as their contributions are needed to give the country the perpetual cutting edge in the highly competitive world and keep the country's status as number one. These scholars are feeling cheated that by spending huge amounts of money and contributing to the research and development during the studies, they have not only been taken for a ride but also become the main target of the deportation campaign as their status is available with the government. On the other hand, millions of undocumented workers are comparatively safe, as tracing and deporting them is not an easily achievable task. Besides, millions of foreign citizens are given entry into the country on flimsy grounds, and many of them do not even ever go to elementary school. I think even God would not be able to make out what the fuck this country has become on this issue. Almost the same is the situation with most of the EU countries, the UK, Australia, and Canada.

My dad is an Indian migrant to Australia. He came here legally and worked his butt off for 40 years. To people commenting in the section about how this is unfair and complaining about it. Legal migrants don’t want you in their countries either. It ruins everyone’s reputation. Indians have largely been known to be model citizens. Participants in the western traditions and economic development. By going somewhere illegally you break that trust and let’s be honest the only ones that travel illegally don’t have an education nor considerable skills. That’s going to land you in trouble in any country. If you don’t want to be chained up. Then don’t break the law. As for the rest of it. Racism is going to exist no matter what. We just don't let anyone into Australia. If people smugglers and immigrants try and enter our country without going through the right channels, we jail and fine the smugglers. We then sink or tow their boats, and we put these immigrants in a camp while the Australian government organise them for deportation. The problem is throughout the Anglo World, USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand, we are allowing millions of immigrants from the third world, when in fact if AI is going to take 70/80pct of jobs in the future we do not need immigrants from the third world at all. The fewer people we have, the more wealthy we are. The other problem is allowing immigrants from non-compatible cultures of people who do not share our values, culture, religion, or way of life, they generally live in their own areas, speak their own language, and do not/cannot integrate into society, most consider themselves as Indian, not Canadian because like for instance in the UK where we have similar or worse problems, they can never be English, or Scottish, or Welsh or Northern Irish. We are not and never have been nations of ''communities'', we are Canadian, American British, and Australian, but we are all connected in our Judeo-Christian roots, values, culture, and way of life, the vast majority of these third-world immigrants can never be part of what we are. That causes resentment, even jealousy, and one day it will end badly

I think that’s comparable to cost of living in Australia. So people with a high paying job and skills are necessary to have a good stress free life. If you are struggling to get a good job it’s going to be tough. Especially if you live far away and need to spend on fuel and rent or the cost of buying a house. It’s skewed towards highly skilled and people who already have a good savings account balance

The same is happening in Australia, UK and New Zealand. If you have to take a large education loan to go to these countries, DO NOT GO especially if you do not have strong financial background. Guess what! they fear because they know their actions were illegal. I get some citizens who have certain backgrounds being nervous but fear? No as they are already in the system and safe. But the criminals who took advantage of the US deserve to be deported. I am a UK citizen. I find it strange that Indian nationals claim to be 'proud' of their country, yet they all want to move elsewhere (UK, US, Canada, Australia etc). If their country is so great, then why do they want to keep going to other countries? And then there's the bureaucracy for those who want to visit destinations such as India. If India wants to impose endless paperwork and procedures to other countries, then it should expect the same. India was the one that started the childish tit-for-tat behaviour when the UK and Canada were restricting visa applications during the pandemic, so therefore India banned e-visa applications from Canadians and UK citizens. If India wants to behave like this, then why can't other nations? The UK is full of Indians who come here and don't want to integrate to our way of life etc, hence it's better for everyone if they just stayed in India.

Or just put a hard rule that says your can't go from student visa to asylum without first leaving the country. Australia did this in 2008 to me where my student visa had a direct path to permanent residence and they closed that loophole while I was there.

Canada's TFW scheme is just nutso, and that's coming from an Australian who is living with many of the same pressures as Canada in 2024. You have roughly 40 million people - about 12 million more than Australia - and some genius decided that importing 3 million people from the subcontinent was a GOOD idea ? Like Australia, the majority of your population is clustered in a small number of cities - new arrivals are going to head straight for the path of least resistance. No shame in that (I lived in a notorious 'ghetto' dominated by foreigners in Thailand) but it was never going to be well received by the locals. Toronto and Vancouver, anyone ? It is a significant amount of $$ and boost Canadian economy 2) Indian students 50% wants to finish the course applied, a job after the course and PR and 50% work immediately and don't attend college, wants to go for PR 3) Indians take all the jobs in the supermarket, Mall jobs, fast food stores etc even if the wage is less than Canadian 4) Canadians cannot get any jobs either awaiting government help or going into doll.
