the united states allows the flow of drugs into our nation and then we blame other nations for the problem we create and prop up. the cia has a long history of drug running. the war on drugs is literally a way to aide and abet cartels? why is it the cartels have us military hardware? americans love using drugs, thats just the simple truth. and now trump is doing everything in his power to allow the large corporations to increase their prices for their goods with these tariffs. its why his first term added 8 trillion to the debt and he is scheduled to add even more this time in 4 years. trump caused the inflation to help the super wealthy and corporations. and now he is doing it again. and americans are too stupid to realize it.

As a Canadian, I am boycotting all products from the US as much as possible. The US Administration is weak and unrespectful of allies. They want to annex Canada for our natural resources. Anything else is BS. Instead of having an even stronger relationship, they choose a commercial war... And the Americans people will face inflation and see their prices grow. It is a non-sense. All joking aside, Canada has been able to form a symbiotic relationship of mutual benefit with the United States since even before NAFTA 1. US states are always competing with each other, but what prevents things like, oh say the American Civil war from happening is the Federal apparatus keeps them in line for the good of the empire as a whole. \n\n If Canada is like a 51st state, then it is competing with the other 50 states in a way that all 50 of them are going to get upset about. So either the states complain, or you treat Canada as an economic competitor. Mexico being behind the United States and Canada is what makes it a good candidate for a symbiotic relationship. For all its problems, Mexico has a Christian population (with some indigenous traits) that goes well with America. Their nations different economic status means we can support them and they can support us doing different things for countries of different development stages.\n\nCanada being so similar to the United States will want that as well and will never outbid the United States. Again this is seen as a hostile economic competitor. \n\nIts not Canada or Americas fault. After 2007 and the lies about fanny and Freddie, leman bros, mortgage backed security's, and a cash shortage that was not real. How was it real if the offshore exchanges did nothing? 2007 was not financial in origin it was our global monetary system seizing up. Both Mexico and Canada have fallen into Trumps trap, if you do not see it, let me explain. Trump has been pushing for more manufacturing at home, for more oil drilling and for more rare minerals mining. He can impose those tariffs and either Canada and Mexico agree, or the do exactly what they just did, think they can win a economic war with the United States. See, Trump gets what he wants either way, they don't cooperate, Trump gives huge tax incentives to companies to start producing here in the U.S. which will in turn reduce the price of everything for Americans, see, if you produce it here instead of overseas, Canada or Mexico, we can pish for a huge increase in overall production reducing the costs to consumers, since the products no longer have to be imported. Like i said, sometimes i don't think the left has any brains left.

PREDICTION: The rise of international tariffs will ultimately uncover a huge underbelly of unemployment ironically in the USA and create a wave of an unexpected underbelly of poverty unseen by America in many years. USA will suffer in the next 4 years due to tariff wars and causing its international allies work in new relationships with its unexpected competitors such as China. The EU will learn how to live without relying on the USA - as is the same with China and other countries. Countries will turn their back on America, knowing they can work well together than rely on the USA. \n\nThe average US citizen will be receiving tax rise after tax rise, causing more poverty within states and due to the 'xenophobic tariff mentality' - will find the middle income earner slip down to a lower grade, and ripple this effect. Medical aid will only benefit the rich while everyone else will pay for minimum service but premium for medication. \n\nThe price of food and transport will quadruple over the next 4 years, not because of the natural progression of price rise, but immediately due to tariff wars. \n\nAmericans, ultimately pay for tariffs - bullying words of 50 percent tariffs on another country means a surge in prices for everyday goods Americans take for granted. The only winner is the Government - which means it chooses what to spend on. \n\nA recession will hit hard....AGAIN -- on the USA.

A tariff from Mexico to the US, will skyrocket the price of millions of products such as tomatoes, avocados, strawberries, onions, garlic, ginger, bananas, pineapples, mushrooms, potatoes, and more fruits, vegetables, tortillas, and more products that are products from Mexico. Those tariffs guess who’s going to end up paying for that? Of course us. I voted for Trump but that would be such a stupid movement from Trump’s administration. I'm from Brazil and I thing that here the things can be worse! Of couse that everyone have your opinion, but if people live here,, everybody will change your opinion! Abaut prices, violence, taxes.. The next year, i hope so, I will grap my italian citizenship and move on to Irland with my husband. We're 31 yeas old, and we are public servent, but it's impossible live here. I think that the world is change! Because he have war and others things. Came to Canada due to a war in Ukraine, love the country and people but found it extremely challenging to settle in due to the prices. We are just trying to survive and pay the rent and food. Almost 2 years here and no result. I am thinking to move out of the country as I really doubt the situation will drastically change in 2-5 years and I am not 18 years old any more.

The problem is simple. If its an issue of cost of living, while its true that it is very high, its very high across the industrialized world. That is because the causes influencing cost of living are not related to inside Canada but are being influenced by foreign actors which Canada has no control over. The Ukraine-Russia War for example is causing increases to food costs which are not easily overcome. The situation in the Middle East between Hamas and Israel threatens to spiral into a regional war and that threatens the oil supply and the present price for oil and gas. The Houthi have been making it hard to traverse the Red Sea which is forcing shipping to travel around Africa rather than directly through the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean Sea meaning those additional fuel costs get transferred over to the consumer. As for housing, while efforts to cool housing markets have been made, Canada's housing market is still relatively hot meaning the prices remain high in big cities. Its like a perfect storm. Increased costs on mortgages are an attempt to push down inflation but in the short term you are going to feel that as well. Also we are living in a transition period as the world sinks back to the older model of trade before before Bretton Woods in 1947 which is leading to a decoupling of product lines that at one time coming from Asia were cheap but are not more expensive because they are being made back in the home countries. Transitions do come with a price. Finally, add taxes which help to deal with health care, social programs and government services like embassies, foreign missions and the army well yeah its a perfect storm.\n\nI hope you have luck where you end up but do not for a minute assume that the grass is greener on the other side. Even Japan which attempts to keep certain costs low, has been forced to increase its national consumption taxes to offset overall costs. It isn't going to get cheaper but more expensive as we move back to the old trade model. However, as the world weans itself off of the World Trade Organization and the IMF, the world also re-opens the potential to a Great Depression because that was the reason Bretton Woods appeared in the first place.
