His local reputation is not good and to loose upcoming elections , to divert and shift focus, this is an attention diverting tactics to shift attention and make him look like a hero. \nIf he really cared for his people, he would have either prevented it by aggressive backdoor talks or, or if this happened without his awarness then he could have spoken privately to Trump to sort it out in the real interest of his own nation, cut the ego for Good of his own people and an sort it out , why he did not do it ?\nNow by publically engaging and directly targetting, he has achieved two things 1. temporary fame as majority of people are upper grass mongers are emotional but no attention to details 2. He spoiled further his relationship with Trump administration by this public spat, rubbing him on the wrong side, spoils future of his own people. Diplomacy is done by maturity not by ego.

Tariffs don’t help Americans, maybe businesses and corporations but not us. Americans should travel to Australia and see what they could’ve bought and how cheap they are. Thank you government for banning some countries products and making their cheap prices outta reach for the average Americans. ?

At this present time and in this current governmental climate, I do believe that changing a leader now would hurt Canada. Trudeau has first hand experience and has dealt with Trump and his tantrums, this isn’t Trudeau’s first rodeo. I do not know if tariffs or Trump's actions are the correct thing to do. But why can't the USA do 25% tariffs, if Canada has 65% tariffs on the USA? Why is Canada demanding the USA support them? Someone please explain it to me. And Trudeau could have picked up the phone and called Trump, this speech was not meant to solve anything. Canada is in trouble. Joining with the US would help both countries. Detroit would benefit from Canadians moving there, as would other US cities along the border.
