As an American, I stand with Canada. I am worried, but someone needs to stand up to Trump. I am sorry that it is not the US. So many people still support him and I just don’t understand it.

Watching in Hungary/Slovakia: Amazing speech - hope it's understandable also to many Americans. They need to understand it before they feel the impact of Trump's trade war w/ his frm allies. I'm so proud I got an opportunity to spend few months learning English in Canada - lovely country and lovely people w/ great leaders.

From America, the world really acts like we owe them something.\n\nWe get called imperialists when we help, cowards and weaklings when we don’t, we get reprimanded and shit on about how we should get our nose out of everyone’s business. The rest of the world seems to have a hate boner for the US yet can’t even be bothered to figure out how to not start new world wars, can’t even be bothered to take in and handle their own refugees, can’t even be bothered to help your own people.\n\nWe The People are growing real tired of our treatment on the world stage. Furthermore, we have our own issues. We have to focus on our own country and people, because as it stands many of us are struggling to figure out how to pay rent without picking up 2nd jobs or side hussle’s. Please understand this, we voted for Donald Trump. Flaws and all. He didn’t cheat or steal his way in. He isn’t a threat to democracy, or the stability of Europe. He’s and American president for America and if any non Americans wanna take issue with that. Then come get your citizenship and vote for it, but until then, stop crying about what America is doing and focus on your own country. Who knows, if you do your own country might actually be notable enough for you to understand my frustrations :)

Agree with Trudeau here, and as a Canadian conservative, that’s not something I say easily. But let’s get real here. Trump is NOT a smart guy. He has cratered most businesses he’s started, he has no understanding of economics whatsoever and he speaks like a five-year old. Conversely, here in Canada and around the world (including many in the US who are voicing heir support here) we have A LOT of smart people and an enormous amount of good will, and we will persevere and overcome. Bring it MAGA!

This is how a leader should speak. He speaks with sincerity and with clarity. He doesnt speak broadly just to an entire audience. He speaks to each group of people that this is concerning to, and making sure we understand the magnitude of this situation. He adjusts how he speak to each group, and also to our sad president. Thats the vibe of the message he was giving me. Many different types of languages and emotions are spoken at the same time.\n\nI love our country, but I do not agree with how our currents presidents policies, changes, and tear down of our government/agencies in just 2 months. I cant imagine the months to come. People are already struggling, and are divided so much more that Americans are not siding with each other, but siding with Canada and Mexico who have been so patient and understanding with us. We need to stand up against our president to stop this isolation and division. We are already divided in our country. I can't stand to see we are starting to be divided globally. This will litterally shrink our economy and our opportunities. Not only that, it puts our national security in peril. We need to do better to work together in harmony.

My godson's parents, who he loves and respects and helps financially, are undocumented immigrants here in the US for 30 yrs. He lives in a community of undocumented folks. He and his brother voted for Trump. His whole family understands the consequences of so many people being here illegally. They all understand that being here illegally is a way for our government and the elite to use and abuse people much more easily. When you have as large of a percentage of the population who aren't protected by their citizenship and the laws and who can't access the full benefits of citizenship and who are always scared of being caught and will take less pay, people can be used and abused more easily.

I sincerely don't understand why people have an issue with people who came here illegally getting deported. It's not at all racially motivated or discrimination. Whether they are serious criminals or just entered illegally - it is not right for them to be here, or be provided services paid for by tax paying Americans. As an educated American citizen, If I want to move to UK or European countries I have to jump through many hoops, prove I have my own money to support myself, and possibly meet a language requirement. Why is it that we just accommodate anyone who wants entry to USA? It baffles me. I have friends all upset about deportations and it's ridiculous. I can't understand why we bother to have any laws if we don't enforce them? I have 2 family members who immigrated here LEGALLY. That's the only way it should be allowed and we should up the requirements to gain entry as well.

If anyone knew how bad and unsafe life is in Juarez Mexico you wouldn't blame people from trying to run out of there. With the drug violence it's normal to just see dead bodies hanging from the side of a freeway together or laying on the streets. It's normal for young women to be kidnapped and killed. Normal for even the reporters reporting on the cartels to be killed. Many people don't even feel safe leaving their homes. Given half a chance I would try to run in there too but I understand the concern that we just can't let so many people in our country. I see both sides.

This is really sad becuase life after deportations is tough for somebody who was raised in USA. I was taken to the U.S. as a baby and grew up there, but at 19, I was sent back to Mexico—a country I had no memory of, no connections in, and barely spoke the language. My entire family had migrated when I was little, so I was left to figure everything out on my own.\n\nComing back felt like being thrown into an unfamiliar world. I wasn’t fluent in Spanish, had a weird accent, and my mindset was completely different from those who grew up in Mexico. I used to be outgoing and got along with everyone, but now I’ve become more introverted. I struggle to relate to people, have trouble socializing, and often feel like I don’t belong. I feel completely alone, with no one to talk to in person because everyone sees me as an outsider. Many even think I’m a terrible person for coming back after being raised in the very place they dream of moving to.\n\nMaking friends has been challenging too. Many assume that because I grew up in the U.S., I have more money, and friendships often come with the expectation that I’ll pay for everything.\n\nOn top of that, daily life is a struggle. Renting a place is extremely difficult because I don’t have a co-signer from Mexico, and they won’t accept one from the U.S. Getting legal documents like a passport is nearly impossible because my parents haven’t been in the Mexican system for over 19 years, and officials tell me they have no way to prove who I am. Unlike in the U.S., where there are laws against discrimination, I face rejection at every turn here.\n\nThis life is hard. I wish my family had never migrated—or at least had done so after I was old enough to understand the risks and what could happen in the future.

Happend to see many videos from diff countries depicting rubbish behaviours from Indians. I support visa rejections. Here in north America many north Indians are behaving like uneducated ones i would say. Zero civic sense , no standard no value for relations , zero empathy n tooooo greedy . I had respect for them until i met them in person. Wonder how these many people reached here !!! Lack of education is highly evident in them!! Ladies behave like men. It's incredible that so many of the people commenting here don't understand the reason for the tariffs. We're being invaded by illegal aliens and deadly drugs. People don't understand we have too many immigrants, and many are criminals doing bad to our country. Many don't even like to work. I'm so sorry, but first, Us USA citizens. It's like entering a strangers house without his consent. You can't do that by force. You can get hurt. Try fighting for your rights in your country.

I have to question someone who does not have a proper grasp of physical reality as to their grasp of reality in other areas. How can I be sure that the mechanism responsible for properly understanding reality is not so broken that the individual is not able to properly assess military situations on which many lives may in fact depend. We need people in the military that have a properly functioning reality assessment mechanism in place, not broken machinery.

And this is the part where colombia will retaliate by dropping the Petro dollar. People have to understand the US is on thin Ice for using what was supposed to be a fair tradeable currency and one of the reasons why many countries adapted it in the 50s but since we have been weaponizing it expect Nations to drop the dollar to minimized the US influence in what is supposed to be an open international market.

So many people don't fundamentally understand how tariffs work. America is one of the largest consumer markets in the world with the strongest impact on the global economic scale. Every country NEEDS their goods sold to the United States and tariffs make them pay more to get there goods here giving us a cash influx. while also dramatically increasing the competitive edge for domestic companies to compete against foreign slave markets.

It’s called desperation folks. Do a little research and find out what these people are trying to get away from! What would you do if you believed that this was the only way to protect your children, your family? Additionally, if anything is not going their way, they complain about racism and why Canadians don’t understand their culture. Yet, they have no interest in learning about and adapting to Canadian culture. Many brought with them the ways of dealing with people and doing business that are often very shady and Canadians are forced to adapt to them. I support immigration as it adds to the diversity of our culture. However, when 80% of the permanent residence VISA were issued to Indians last year, that’s not diversity. We don’t want to become India 2.0.

As a Brit I know many decent integrated Indians here. But none of them are recent arrivals. Older immigrants were respectful and wanted to be British and adopt British ways. But newer immigrants act as if we owe them something while acting in disrespectful dirty disgusting ways. For example in India I have to use Indian toilets as Indians do. I don’t pretend I don’t understand how to use them, I don’t need instructions on the door and I don’t break the toilet by standing on it, shytting up the walls and all over the floor and leave it there like that’s normal. I’ve worked in offices where this was routine when Indian contractors were brought in. Integrated Indian men seem to take great pride in dressing smartly and smelling good. But it’s really common for Indians to smell REALLY BAD. Poor personal hygiene plus excessive amounts of Indian food (you’re abroad ffs try some different food!) creates a truly vile odour. Some Indian men also think it acceptable to stare at and harass British girls (although to be fair they do not have as bad a reputation as their neighbours) they are also rude and racist to white people especially women. Some Indians in 2025 still seem to think they’re living under the Raj and Britain is ‘oppressing’ them. They’re not and we’re not. The empire brought benefits to India and left peacefully over 70 YEARS ago. We don’t owe you ANYTHING. This victim mentality means India will NEVER be a proper first world country. You can flood the world with sheer numbers but you will never be respected or improve the world in any way, you will only ever leech off the invention of others. I do not mean to disrespect the many decent Indian people I’m just telling the truth. As a culture your presence outside of India is negative because of the way so many Indians act, trying to create India wherever they go. And they have the cheek to say this is ok because they got colonised. WELL SO DID WE! That is the truth.

I don't understand why India has to be so reliant on foreign countries. Especially with so many young and talented kids joining the workforce. Indians are smart people, and are bright and talented, and should focus on making work/life conditions better in their own country and focus on the growth of their own country. It's not like we lack intelligence, or culture, or values. I don't like this constant feeling of rejection if visa gets denied to move to a foreign country. Oh we can quadruple our income in a foreign country and send money home. Make changes in India to facilitate that, and not have to feel reliant on a foreign country to make that happen. It's time to make other countries want to come to India for a better future..

All other countries are allowed borders and laws so what is this issue about? Furthermore the USA was paying for other countries borders. This is not about Trump this is the will of the people! My ancestors came legally, my wife came legally and it was very hard, took years and cost money! Do it legally!\n\nI spent the first 4 years of my relationship with my wife in separate countries. We saw eachother twice a year, and video calls each night. The thing is i understand because laws are in place. As a country there is nothing wrong with Mexico and many Americans retire there. I dont understand why people can't migrate there? I mean they are already there, and living well why do they need to proceed to America?

They rank countries not only based on the size of their economies but also on the behavior of their people. Palki believes India is a superpower, but for the West, it is seen as a developing country with many people lacking proper behavior, ethics, and hygiene. Indian media needs to understand that respect is earned, not demanded or forced. Many Indians I have met in foreign countries tend to boast about their homeland while choosing to live in a developed country without fully integrating into the local culture. People even dare to charter a flight to Maxico with a plan to cross the border and into USA, like a flash mob, without a visa. Well you don’t have entitlement for that, just like you don’t like Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Rohingya crossing your borders by any means.\nHow many Indian agents have befooled fellow Indians who want to go and work in UAE, Behrin, Muscat, Qatar, Oman, Jordan and Saudi Arabia but landed on one of the beaches of India or have their Passport taken away to make them work like a slave in servitude by their fellow Indian contractors? Where are the destination countries that those Canada immigrants moved to? You did not tell the whole story. The audience may think that those people are leaving Canada to US. \n\n1. Among five eyes countries, Canada is the easiest country for people to migrate to. For example Australia skill migrant program does not accept the flight attendant as the required talent. There is very slim chance that the flight attendant can get the PR through the skill migrant program in Australia. Canada is now getting into the trouble similar to the sub-prime crisis in US 15 years ago: too many people who are not the qualified immigrants arrived to Canada in past 2 years. They are leaving because the minimal hourly wages cannot support their living in the big cities like Toronto and Vancouver. \n2. High income tax ? In UK the top tax bucket is well over 40%. In Australia you need to pay 45% income tax plus 2% medical Levy surcharge\n3. High cost of living? I think the cost of living in London of UK and Sydney of Australia are also exceptionally high. The cost of living affordability depends on the income of the migrants. Low income working class will feel the cost of living and housing pressure. Rise in crime: I do not understand this logic as the migrants left Canada to US - the city of LA, New York, Seattle and Chicago are far worse than in Canada \n5. Limited Career opportunities: the only country that has better career opportunities is US. What are the main reasons for those who are not migrating to US?\n\nIn summary, all the above points are not the main reasons. The main reason is the liberal government. Canada had taken a large number of wrong low end migrants in wrong time. When the economic downturn turn comes these are the most vulnerable group of people that should leave Canada.\n\nMany Canadian found that they resolved some of the problems by relocating from city to city ie moved from Vancouver to Calgary. Idk i think you need to realize that we also have our bias in addition to you having yours. Meaning, to most of us , excepting the most left leaning socially progressive pockets and contexts , which even then wouldn’t be viewed that way to us just acceptable lol ?\n\nOur baseline/political middle in Canada is A LOT more left leaning than the baseline normal/political middle in the states. So while people tend to equate your democrats to our liberals or our NDP , and equate your republicans to our conservatives. It’s just not accurate. If you throw our span of parties and American span of parties on the SAME spectrum /polarity line. You might be surprised to realize how shifted left our systems range politically is from the American one. \n\nThis hugely impacts the average normal expectation , what we clutch our pearls at hearing coming out of the mouths of the general public , and our range of what we expect to not hear or see ranted about unless they’re to our view , extremely right leaning politically /social values. \n\nFor us this means that actually genuinely , a lot of America does get experiences by us as bat shit crazy racist homophobic immigrant intolerant culturally and religiously ignorant , and somewhat backwards in larger or smaller amounts ? I know that’s not fun to hear but. Being the most diverse country based so much on immigration means. What is normal and known /familiar and normal so we aren’t ignorant to , is completely different. \n\nFor us we have our pockets usually in more rural less populated areas further away from larger cities where there is more diversity but that’s the same often in many countries that you will find some of the louder racist homophobic intolerant voices typically in places that truly are unfamiliar and ignorant to the experience of growing up with and around much of any diversity of varying kinds. So it’s not to say we don’t have racism and intolerance of course like anywhere we do. It’s just contained and the range and frequency and intensity is MUCH different. We distinguish nuances of diff cultures and religions more easily and in larger numbers we’re more familiar with diff ways of life , language , food, dress , holidays , values and used to a much less segregated way of existing even when we are differnt from each other as the NORM. My parents were both born in the states and my older brother was born there but they moved up here when he was a baby. So nearly all my extended family lives down there and I’m a duelly. And my experiences discussing things with my cousins or visiting absolutely could be described as culture shock at times. The insane things that came out of my own cousins mouths when they hear our friends or partners of various cultures , our not understanding how big a deal and incredibly insulting apparently it is to have assumed someone American was lgbt lol the list goes on. Like I don’t think our most intolerant Pockets can hold a flame to even ur closet to middle a bit intolerant places and contexts in America. Quite honestly. \n\nI think the absolute undying favourable passionate upholding and support of nationalistic, capitalist, hyper individualistic mentality about society as a whole (from my Canadian born and bred perspective lol) makes the differences even more glaring blaring and hard to swallow for us lol. I think more Canadians would feel exactly how that comment stated , that you felt was not fair for us to experience America as. I think the truth is a lot of Canadians are being too polite to let you know that’s exactly how a lot of America comes off to a lot of Canada ?

Thank you for summarizing these key changes! Many problems are actually the Canadian immigration system not learning from the mistakes of the US system and now it’s suffering the same consequences. If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Selected immigrants are allowed into Canada to help alleviate Canadian issues…or at least people who come through Express Entry are less likely to become a burden. See, I know this is wrong. But we have to be honest I am an Indian but moved to America. I stayed in New Jersey and the environment we created there is absurd. We made the place dirty, uncivilized behaviour and the list is long. This is happening in Canada too. Canadians identify everyone as Indians but the major problem they have is with Khalistanis. I am a double hater cant stand Trump and I am a farmer, i dont use immigrants because i just grow crops that can be mechanically harvested and I have a small farm, But in the past I used to manage large farms where we had a lot of immigrants most were illegal and people don't understand why they're illegal It's because there is an arbitrary cap on how many migrants can come from Guatemala and Mexico if they wanted to come legally just a normal worker They have a 60-year waiting list so it's just impossible to come here legally. And if you have any children during your 5 years, the government tells you that you have to register them, so the government can create another bond, so they can borrow more money from the bank! The government gives you a birth certificate, but they own your children until you go to a court of law to get a certificate of custody! Because if you decide to leave after getting your landed status, the government may not allow you to take your children with you! Look up family court and custody law, once you get here, the government manages you on behalf of those who own you! You need to look it up for yourselves and understand that any western country that you goto is ruled by Rome. And if you came from a country that was once a colony of the British empire, you will get here a little easier, it’s a simple transfer because they have your record on file in the city of London.
