Trump says EU tariffs will ‘definitely happen’ as Mexico, Canada and China retaliate \nTrump takes softer line on UK, saying ‘I think that one can be worked out’, while Mexico and Canada vow levies and to strengthen ties with each other \n \nPhilip Wen, Léonie Chao-Fong and agencies \nMon 3 Feb 2025 03.57 GMT \nShare \nDonald Trump has threatened to widen the scope of his trade tariffs, repeating his warning that the European Union – and potentially the UK – will face levies, even as he conceded that Americans could bear some of the economic brunt of a nascent global trade war. \n \nIt comes as Trump’s tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China, announced on Saturday, sparked retaliation from all three countries. Mexico and Canada have vowed levies of their own while China and Canada are seeking legal challenges. \n \nTrump said on Sunday night that new tariffs on the EU will “definitely happen”, repeating previous complaints about the large US trade deficit with the bloc and his desire for Europe to import more American cars and agricultural products. \n \nEmpty shelves remain with signs ''Buy Canadian Instead'' after the top five US liquor brands were removed from sale at a British Columbia liquor store in Vancouver. \nAsian sharemarkets tumble in response to Trump tariffs \nRead more \n“It will definitely happen with the European Union, I can tell you that,” he told reporters. “I wouldn’t say there’s a timeline but it’s going to be pretty soon.” \n \nTrump appeared to take a softer line on the UK, citing a good relationship with prime minister Keir Starmer while saying tariffs still “might happen”. “The UK is out of line but I’m sure that one, I think that one can be worked out,” he said. \n \n“Well Prime Minister Starmer’s been very nice, we’ve had a couple of meetings, we’ve had numerous phone calls, we’re getting along very well, we’ll see whether or not we can balance out our budget.” \n \nIn Canada, the department of finance published a list of US products imported into Canada that it will target with a 25% retaliatory tariff starting on Tuesday. \n \nThe list shows products that will be hit in the first round of retaliatory tariffs by Canada starting on Tuesday, and mounts to $30bn Canadian dollars’ worth of goods (about US$20bn). The impacted products include tobacco, produce, household appliances, firearms and military gear. \n \nCanada is also preparing for a second, broader round of retaliatory tariffs in 21 days that will target an additional C$125bn (US$86bn) worth of US imports. The second list would include passenger vehicles, trucks, steel and aluminum products, certain fruits and vegetables, beef, pork, dairy products and more. \n \nFILES-US-CANADA-MEXICO-CHINA-TRADE-TARIFFS<br>(FILES) US President Donald Trump speaks to the press after signing an executive order in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington, DC on January 31, 2025. Trump is imposing steep tariffs on major US trading partners Canada, Mexico and China, with a lower rate on Canadian energy imports, said the White House on February 1, 2025. Washington will impose a 25 percent levy on imports from Canada and Mexico, with a 10 percent rate on Canadian energy resources, until both work with the United States on drug trafficking and immigration. Goods from China, said the White House, would face 10 percent tariffs. (Photo by Mandel NGAN / AFP) (Photo by MANDEL NGAN/AFP via Getty Images) \nTop Democrats warn tariffs will hit Americans hard as Trump says it’s ‘worth the price’ \nRead more \nClaudia Sheinbaum, Mexico’s president, said her government will provide more details on the retaliatory tariffs she ordered on US goods on Monday. Sheinbaum, in a statement on Sunday, said she will announce details on her government’s “plan B” as she insisted that Mexico “doesn’t want confrontation”. \n \n“Problems are not addressed by imposing tariffs, but with talks and dialogue,” she said. “Sovereignty is not negotiable: coordination yes, subordination no.” \n \n'Coordination yes, subordination no': Mexican president responds to Trump's tariffs – video \nSheinbaum and Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau spoke by phone on Saturday after Trump’s administration imposed the new tariffs – 25% on goods from Canada and Mexico, with a lower rate of 10% for Canadian oil, and 10% on imports from China. \n \nTrudeau’s office said in a statement that Canada and Mexico agreed “to enhance the strong bilateral relations” between their countries. Canadian officials have had extensive dialogue with their Mexican counterparts, but a senior Canadian official said he would not go as far as to say the tariff responses were coordinated. \n \n“Now is the time to choose products made right here in Canada,” Trudeau posted Sunday on X. “Check the labels. Let’s do our part. Wherever we can, choose Canada.” \n \nTrump acknowledged the sweeping tariffs he has imposed on Mexico, Canada and China may cause “short term” pain for Americans as global markets reflected concerns the levies could undermine growth and reignite inflation. Asian markets, cryptocurrencies and US and European stock futures slumped in early Asian trading on Monday. \n \n“We may have short term some little pain, and people understand that. But long term, the United States has been ripped off by virtually every country in the world,” he said. day, Trudeau said: “We’re certainly not looking to escalate, but we will stand up for Canada.” However on Sunday evening, a senior government official from Canada briefing reporters in Ottowa on condition of anonymity said: “We will obviously pursue the legal recourse that we believe we have through the agreements that we share with the United States.” \n \nThe official said the Canadian government considered the move by Trump illegal and said it violates the trade commitments between the two countries under their free trade agreement and under the World Trade Organization. \n \n“If other legal avenues are available to us, they will be considered as well,” the official said. \n \nCanada is the largest export market for 36 states, and Mexico is the largest trading partner of the US. \n \nCanada and Mexico ordered the tariffs despite Trump’s further threat to increase the duties charged if retaliatory levies are placed on US goods. \n \nChina also said it would file a lawsuit against the tariffs. The imposition of tariffs by the US “seriously violates” World Trade Organization (WTO) rules, China’s commerce ministry said in a statement, urging the US to “engage in frank dialogue and strengthen cooperation”. \n \nFiling a lawsuit with the WTO would be a largely symbolic move that Beijing has also taken against tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles by the EU. \n \nThe commerce ministry also said the tariffs were “not only unhelpful in solving the US’s own problems, but also undermine normal economic and trade cooperation”. China has said it would take countermeasures to “safeguard its own rights and interests”. It is not clear exactly what form these will take yet. But for weeks Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning has said Beijing believes there is no winner in a trade war. \n \nLate Sunday night, Trump said he would speak with Trudeau on Monday morning and shortly after said he would speak with Mexico as well, although he did not specify that he would speak with Sheinbaum. \n \nBeyond the official response, people were already thinking of ways to cope with Trump’s decision, including by sharing suggestions on social media for alternatives to US products. \n \nCanadian hockey fans booed the US national anthem on Saturday night at two National Hockey League games. The booing continued on Sunday at an NBA game in Toronto where the Raptors played the Los Angeles Clippers. \n \nFrom left to right, Toronto Raptors forwards Bruce Brown, Scottie Barnes and Chris Boucher react as fans boo the United States national anthem before NBA basketball game action against the Los Angeles Clippers in Toronto, Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025. (Frank Gunn/The Canadian Press via AP) \nToronto Raptors fans boo US national anthem after Donald Trump tariffs \nRead more \nOne fan at the Raptors game chose to sit during the anthem while wearing a Canada hat. Joseph Chua, who works as an importer, said he expects to feel the tariffs “pretty directly”. “I’ve always stood during both anthems. I’ve taken my hat off to show respect to the American national anthem, but today we’re feeling a little bitter about things,” he said, adding that he will start to avoid buying US products. \n \nIn the streets, people in Mexico were trying to absorb the announcement on Sunday, although some in the capital acknowledged that they were unaware of the measures. \n \nIn the border city of Mexicali, across from Calexico, California, some people were concerned about the wider implications of a trade war. \n \nDriver Alejandro Acosta says that he crosses the border weekly in his truck to deliver vegetables to US companies. He said he fears US businesses in the Mexicali Valley will no longer want to operate in Mexico and they will move to the US. \n \n“If they raise taxes on the factories here, jobs may also decrease,” he said.

There should be a DMZ border with Mexico so no one can cross it, like make a 100 foot gap. The USA needs to take care of the real citizens before we harbor illegal people no matter where they are from. Just come here LEGALLY!! Stop trying to guilt trip everyone just because you wear dark colored clothes and look desperate. We all have to earn what we have and so do you

As uncomfortable as it may be this needs to happen. This is a very generous country for legal , key word , immigration. This whole amplified mess with its crime , drugs , smuggling people and dissapiintment for the immigrants themselves , is the absolute fault of the Biden admin , mayorkus , and the democrat party. Look at what their desire for perpetual power by trying to gain voters has cost so many. Shame on them.

It is hard to even believe the world has come to such a ridiculous, immoral place... I do not understand how people on the news can even discuss these things with a straight face..... Our president is wealthy. He is powerful. He does not have to do anything for anyone .. He is putting his tom energy, an effort and to our country out of the love of God add all of those that are intimidated for no reason by him misunderstand that God illuminates helm and others do not even understand why they hate him.... God does shine through people add. I can promise I have the same hate and people try to destroy me.And I am just a simple person... God is good and I am so happy and evidently, I shine way too bright, also, because my joy in the lord illuminates from me... When I go into a store to use the restroom, and the people working in there has the ability by just looking at me to call 911 and tell them I stole... Which the surveillance never lies..\nYou know something about me was so bothersome to those ladies they couldn't help themselves... But I did. However, receive massive legal problems for making up lies and wasting all fifteen cop cars of cops, they wasted it.... So people need to understand those that shine with God's glory are hated by those that don't serve God... People hate me when I am and giving to them. So it makes all the scents in the world why Trump goes through what he does.. the ones that our most amazing to me are those of the view.... They are so in awe of him. They cannot stop talking about him every day... And I do not even understand how ignorant they or because they are truly in awe of him, they can't manage themselves.... If people would just choose love and support our own president in our country, it would be amazing..\n. I'll bet the united states is the only country that has so much hate for our own people and president... why not just choose to wait and see what happens?Hoping for the best... That man tells us, uh, every time he speaks the most wonderful news we have ever heard... It is obvious by all of the people unable to handle themselves because of his amazing everything... Whoopi Goldberg is the most evil bully that lies like a dog. They let on tv

Our president of the United States Donald Trump is back. He’s a man of his word and he means what he says. If you’re legal you’re a citizen you’re not getting nothing from the government free he will not bother you but if you’re not, you better watch out cause he’s coming after you. He’s gonna look at after the US citizens, his families and their selves who’s worked all their life to make America a better place in a safe placeyou can best believe that

They look like a bunch of wild animals they must be stopped at any cost. Come in the legal way or don't come at all.

Why can’t she just help her family become legalized instead make herself look bad in front of a camera?
2025-01-21 0
Immigrant families who are here should probably have conversations with their children about the possibility of being deported together and what that could look like; now is the time to have a plan, not the time to sit and wonder and wait for the inevitable. Its the responsibility of the adults in the families to have thought of all scenarios prior to relocating their minors and putting minors at risk of rape, assault, trafficking, and orphanhood. While I am praying for these individuals and have great compassion for them, the priority needs to be those who are paying thousands and waiting years to come in legally. Fair is fair. America and Americans first.

”Black” Indigenous Americans are wealthier than these Indian Immigrants. You people use OLD FAKE data which FAILS to include the HIGH incomes, wealth, net worth, LAND and properties of “Black” Indigenous American Sportsmen and women (millionaires and billionaires) along with “Black” Indigenous American Celebrities (millionaires and billionaires) along with “Black” American Business Owners and CEOs, “Black” American Doctors, Lawyers, Judges, Politicians, Leaders, Pastors, Activists, Teachers, Authors, Scientists, Singers, Actors, Actresses, Dancers, Performers, Comedians, etc. You looked on the (Du@MB) Internet and took “OLD” out-dated, FAKE and racists data of “ Black” American wealth at $53,000 per year And even less for women?? Your data SUCKS because OUR TOP “Black” Indigenous American’s WEALTH, completely CRUSHES Indian Immigrant”s cheaply earned “tech” wealth! Our “Black” Indigenous American Football and Basketball Players make more than your ENTIRE Indian Immigrant population wealth! \n\nBTW….Your “Black” Indigenous American US Census population data is FAKE also….OUR US Population is greater than (>42%), while the LEGAL Indian/Asian Immigrant US Population is less than (<5%). \n\nIt BUGS me when FOREIGNERS come to OUR “Black” Indigenous American country and try to tell Us OUR AMERICAN HISTORY! We have HISTORICAL RECORDS, FAMILY GENEALOGY TRACKING AND INDIGENOUS AMERICAN DNA! \n\n\nPlease include your IMPOVERISHED fellow Indian-Countrymen when you’re BRAGGING about your UNDERPAID “Tech” hourly wages (with ZERO benefits).

Illegal is illegal! Rules are made for a reason! Come to the U,S. Legally, or you will have to keep looking over your shoulder forever!

Even with the guns like. We have guns here. We just don’t think it’s better to have barely any regulation control or laws about attaining them owning them and what is appropriate use of them versus not. To watch Americans defend their right to bear arms as a reason to entirely ignore the amount of gun violence , combined with insane laws that literally enable or encourage said violence , from people who are not in anyway necessarily trained to asses or handle as safely as possible , urgent situations. To have any children or schools shot up not immediately cause a national need to solve the problem but jsut have it ongoing and not much change to address the issues of innexsssary gun violence to not just Canadians but a lot of the world , looks entirely insane and white honestly idiotic lol I’m just being real. \n\nTo spend the amount yall do on military to feel safe , but have such unsafe conditions in the general public is crazy to a lot of us. Outside America. Yall are a danger to yourselves and okay with that? Lol same thing with food and nutirion and fda things that are acceptable and legal but banned everywhere else ?like. You guys do realize ur safety is not only about who owns the most guns you will be less safe if ur health is poor, bec of insane things being legal to be sold and eaten , healthcare is not easily accessible , and the gun violence of ur own is always a possibility like. How does that feel safe ? \n\nI have a friend who went to school on scholarship and now works married and lives there and she hates it and feels terrified all the time. Her own husband is American and owns a gun but she hates it hates guns now. And is exhausted and has anxiety issues as a result of a lot of the culturally and legally normal gun ownership and attitudes there. A lot of Canadians would feel the exact same way. And to WANT your country to be run and managed that way screaming it at the top of ur lungs is. Bonkers bat shit crazy to many of the rest of us. Ur not the only country where it’s legal to own guns and have them, but yet we’re not hearing about school\nShootings as a problem that just never gets solved and everyone who lives there sort of shrugs about ? lol it’s. Odd. To. Us.

If you would look of any recent random street walk youtube video in Canada, all you see are Indians... My God...\nThey should all be deported ASAP legal or not. Canada is disappearing. It's really alarming.

You guys have no idea how powerful Mexico is, in the economy... jutst look to Europe's economy; thanks to all expresidents that have enreached their economy by their corrupt moves sending their billions to Europe while and after their president terms, and later they move to Europe(away from legal prosecutions). This is just one country, but if you now count all latinoamerican countries that have done the exact same thing... well, now you know how Europe is enreached. If only the current president does the right things... You'll see the real México's economy power.?

I hope she's not looked at as illegal, even though she is legal! \n\nIt's the nationality, not paperwork that gets you harassed.

America was founded by immigrants. Legal immigrants. Illegals or even too much legal migrants from poor countries with no skill set keep wages low. Look at the South park episode goobacks for a whimsical lesson on this.

They are so many how they enter America nobody knows what the enforcement don't know immigration I thought America are so strict people come legally but give them hard time paying visas passport but look at them free come to US
2024-11-18 0
Small correction - After more votes have been counted it looks like Trump will not win a majority of the popular vote, it is down to 50.00% with still more votes to be added, and you should wait until all votes have finished being counted before stating that he won a majority of the popular vote.\n\n\nAlso I hope the other commenters realise that almost all people crossing the southern boarder are legal migrants claiming asylum legally. Anyone walking up to the US and claiming asylum legally must have their case judged and are legally allowed to remain in the US whilst that happens.
2024-11-18 0
Many, many Americans make a distinction between legal immigration and illegal immigration. The center and right are supportive of LEGAL immigration, as it is part of the unique fabric of our country - but are against ILLEGAL immigration. The American left tends to purposefully muddy the waters on this issue, so they can make anyone opposing illegal immigration look like they oppose ALL immigration.\n\nThis is also a distinction that is often muddied or glossed over by Europeans when they try to understand American politics. In Europe, being opposed to immigration, generally means you’re opposed to all of it, legal or illegal. So many Europeans incorrectly view the America center-right as being anti-immigrant. That’s not the situation, at all, in the US.

they way i look at this is sure they may get deported but if they choose to come back legally the country itself will be better i doubt even illegals want gangs and criminals

I am Cuban. I came to the US legally in 1967. My parents left their families and everything behind in order to give my sisters and me a better life in the freedom and democracy of the US. We flew out of Cuba the day after my 7th birthday. I was young but old enough to see the look on my mother’s face and my grandmother’s face to realize that they new they were never going to see each other again. We left a land ruled by an iron fisted dictator. It was the sacrifice of a lifetime for my parents to bring us kids here and now my sisters can’t understand why I don’t want to talk to them because they have voted for a man who wants to be a dictator, who disrespects women and took away their right to control their bodies(I have a college graduate daughter….what if someday she needs an abortion to save her life because the fetus did not develop right?), a man who is clearly a racist in every sense of the word, who only projects hate and division, but does everything he can for white billionaire men. This Mexican-American woman and my sisters disgust me. My sisters have betrayed my parents and the sacrifice they made.

We the people TRUMP THE GOVERMENT. WE THE PEOPLE WANT THEM GONE. THEY CAN COME BACK. ONLY LEGALLY. LOOK THE GOVERMENT FOR PASS 4 YEAR CORRUP? SO WE THE PEOPLE SAY IT AND START WORKING FOR US. U ASS HOLES.

Come in LEGAL WAY!!\na lot of people dont know and don't understand hiw broken the immigration system is.\nI have seen they don't want to fix the problem and they use that excuse of come legally, but won't truly fix it.\nThey deny and deny when its done the legal way. So , by denying they keep those people away and so on and so on. \nYou have to be white and from an European country with lots of money to get in quickly. \nJust look at Melania how she became a citizen . ?
2024-11-14 0
Little does she know the Trump presidency is also going to look for every excuse they can to also get rid of legal immigrants. Don't cry to me when that happens. She voted for it. She can deal with it. ?
2024-11-13 0
Looks like 3.7 million immigrants are trying to come in legally. It’s the undocumented immigrants that are getting targeted. In way it’s mess up, but get in line like everyone else.

This is one dumb Mexican ... Trump don't give two shits about her legal or otherwise. His America includes only those that looks like him....period! She said take out country back...boo boo that slogan wasn't meant for YOU...

You wait when she goes out after he gets into office. Does she not realize that they will not know whether she is legal or not. Her accent and her looks. She got hers and she is so selfish she wants to hurt them by voting for him. I bet she attends church regularly. Well, lady Jesus would be crying. Unfortunately i have met people in Arizona that think the same way. They don't want to share. She had better wear all the trump gear after he is in office. She might be rounded up first.

I am a Documented Legal Alien and married to an American citizen. I choose at this time to not apply for my citizenship as i dont want to have to apply to my own country of birth to enter again should i need to visit relatives there. However i have lived happily now for 20 years in the USA and have never looked back. We did our immigration LEGALLY and as much as i dislike D Trump. I do agree that undocumented Aliens who live here and married to an American' should not be here. We have the same issue in the United Kingdom and its far harder to deal with there, and there is an Ocean surrounding it. If you want to live here, learn the language, (English, even though America has no definitive chosen language) become a legal Immigrant and most of all contribute to America, its people etc and stop using it for your own selfish gains.
2024-11-10 0
This guy is in fantasyland. Notice how he says we’re going after the criminals 1st. That’s because the 15 million who have come through the caravans ARE NOT ILLEGAL. They have legally asked for asylum and they are awaiting their asylum hearings in immigration court. TRUMP can’t touch those. In Texas, many of these people have their 1st immigration court hearings in 2027 & 2028!! It usually takes at least 2 years to get to “trial,” then if you lose, you have 2 appeals and each appeal can take 2-3 years.\n\nEven the criminal aliens they pick up will be entitled to have their day in immigration court. This is nothing new. Bush and Obama deported millions of criminal aliens!! Criminal aliens have always been deported. This has never stopped, regardless of who’s the president. Look up ICE detention facilities. You have 2 big ones in California, Otay Mesa & Calexico; in Arizona it’s Florence & Eloy; in Texas it’s Harlingen. They’ve been operating before & during the Biden administration.\n\nAnd wait till businesses & employers start complaining. ?. Stephen Miller could’ve gone after the slaughterhouse meatpacking industry illegals during the pandemic. They were easy targets because they were the only ones working and ICE had the manpower to do it. Did he do it? Of course not!! America would’ve starved to death. \n\nMAGA nation has been played.

this plan of Mr. Trump will be wholly legal and wholly accepted by 'most' US citizens as it will be passed by a Rep controlled congress. \n\nE-Verify will be a centerpiece of it, significant financial penalties and prison time for those who attempt to skirt around it including homeowners looking for day labor at a Home Depot. \n\nSecondly the fed. dollars will no longer flow into states who do not enforce this mandate. \n\nThirdly 'zero' remittances can be sent unless the sender can prove US citizenship or green card status.\n\nLastly a $5000 a head bounty for illegal aliens brought into collection centers nationwide putting countless folks into moon lighting which will have the effect for 'most' folks of this being wholly legitimate. \n\nSadly illegal aliens were buffaload into believing citizenship or a green card awaits them if they criminally cross the US' southern border by Mr. Biden and his leftist followers, illegal aliens will have 'no' one else to blame when they're walking 'back' across that southern border.\n\nThe final chapter has yet to be written...

If they were viable options for legal immigration particularly for people of color, the US border would look very different
2024-11-09 0
What about the immigrants that have been working and contributing and trying to get citizenship for decades and the spouses of American citizens still fighting for their right after paying taxes for many years - are we raiding all families homes and splitting up kids from parents? Did we ever find the families for the 800+ kids that had no details taken still unable to contact families that trump split them from the first time? Or does that not matter cause it’s not YOUR kids? Huh. When they come and create the detention camps and ship people back to places they haven’t been in decades who cares right they have been paying American taxes and have no rights while their years of waiting for their citizenship - fix that maybe so those who are working, contributing can stay and work in the jobs they have and keep families together. But no let’s demonise EVERY single person because most who voted are ignorant just like abortion about the actual application and situations that arise within a MASSIVE spectrum. Just dumb it down to ANY illegal, and does that also include the legal folks that GOP decide aren’t anymore just cause they came from elsewhere on an invitation? Springfield residents I would suggest if you haven’t or can’t left the state already you find points of contact for legal battles. \n\nWelcome to the start of your facist, authoritarian, white nationalist, dictator era AMERICA. What follows was your own doing. To any woman that voted republican - No matter your faith there is no well I always vote republican defence. Women have and will die for lack of healthcare, their deaths are on your hands and every republican. And so we are clear there are ZERO babies ‘executed’ after birth cause anyone changed their mind. The deaths of fetus carried to term are due in almost all cases to massive complications, unviable development or other mitigating issues. Those babies were wanted. They were mourned. \n\nWhere is the magic money for all these deportations coming huh? Reconciliation won’t pay the bills, and once the workers who do the labour that effect service, hospitality, food supply the costs of things will rise. But apparently multiple Wall Street and top economists telling you outright that trumps plans will tank the economy still you don’t believe. Even though Biden landed the best recovery in the world post covid and gop. When musk and the rich are getting another tax break and the costs of food and gas rise who do you blame then? If it wasn’t for all the innocent ppl about to suffer I would wish you welcome to just implode with this vile plan but the dictators like putin are already rubbing their hands together in gleeful joy. People of Ukraine I am sorry. People of Yemen, Syria, Palestinian civilians, Israel hostages, lgbtq+ communities, non white Christian faith followers, blended families, veterans, minorities or anyone fleeing violence, death or persecution - there will be no aid or help by the GOP Trump administration and in fact I fear you will be targeted by hate and ignorance or selfishness and greed. But I hope enough columns of good remain to shield as many as possible from what is in their plans. Folks who voted for gop while being in the targeted communities you need to take a long hard look in the mirror and soon you may experience your choices in vivid regret. \n\nFor those who still have a conscience I share your heartbreak and wish the future 4yrs pass quickly and a flicker of hope that there is still good enough people who will offset the hate, division and evil that’s about to erupt all over the country. ?️

These have got to be the dumbest most delusional people on earth, it is not about legal or illegal status !!!! It has everything to do with their color !!! If it was thousands of folks from Greenland or Sweden or somewhere with white folks he wouldn’t even mention a border or illegal immigrants, when are people gonna stop being so stupid, Spanish people really screwed themselves big time with this one , especially for a man that hates them with such a passion. Remember last time when he was president and Puerto Rico had a hurricane and when people were asking him what he was gonna do to for them and he said that their own government needs to help them out because he did not know that he was their president as well and asked if they could trade Puerto Rico for Greenland ??? and than still blocked aid from them and said he did not want to give them handouts so they could lay around and be lazy, than when they finally said he needed to go because it didn’t look good , he went and stood there and just threw rolls of paper towels at them.

ALOT of HOMELESS are American citizens, and yet look at them lol. A lot of AMERICANS get welfare, and where does this money come from!!??? US tax payers. “Who knew mass deportation was so complicated” -Trump \n\nYou latinos that voted for Trump should realize that Trump isn’t encumbered by concerns about being re-elected. The voters have no leverage on him any longer. And he’s not big on laws or rules or nuance or details. And his SCOTUS just recently made him a King. So it’s gonna be much simpler to just grab people who look Latino and bus them to Mexico. Say what? You were born in the US and are a legal citizen? Well not anymore, birthright citizenship doesn’t count if your parents or grandparents can’t prove their legal status. Your “citizenship” is illegally predicated per new DHS secretary Stephen Miller. So you became illegal too when Trump won Pennsylvania. So sad. \n\nYou probably should have thought a bit more carefully before you put your trust in a serial liar and criminal. \n\nTa-ta.

She Asked him how do you do it. And his answer is I don’t think it’s that complicated. I think they may end up sending legal immigrants back to their original homelands and that would be a crime. I mean look what they did to all those illegal immigrant children when they separated them from their families and too many of them just went missing. Did you people really forget about that? Of course you did since they weren’t your children you selfish a***s.

Option 1 we gonna SPEND a HUGE amount of money to deport millions of people. \nOption 2 we filter out high crime immigrants and filter those out, after we charge $20000 each illegal for a 2 year visa and work permit as a trial time, and see how they contribute to society. \n Do you have any idea how much money will come in?? It will close 1/4 of your countries deficit.\n Look I'm an immigrant myself, and I was brought in legally as a kid. However because of the difficulties or the bureaucracy I was left out of status. The company I worked for (a delaship) wants me back, customers reach out to me directly because they trusted me and were happy with my performance as their advisor. But guess what I can't work, but I also can't be deported because my country of birth is at war. And I dont want to go back quite frankly because it's back there I'm gonna be an alien more than I am here. I finished a degree and paid my way through collage here I grew up here, and even though because of the problems of the immigration system I was constantly limited with basic equal opportunities I still see this as my home, and actually appreciate this country more than some people I know that were born here. \n Now again - I suffered plenty with being limited as an immigrant here and I was forced to work shitty heavy labor for years and years, I worked overtime plenty with no overtime pay and such (y'all just have no idea what immigrants life is) and in my case - I got stuck in that status for 2 decades. Where I could have had a high degree by now, I instead have been just busting my ass for peanuts. I never asked for any help from the government here even when I could have, never filed unemployment. \nAnd after all this you gonna deport me? Great fucking plan. Land of brave and opportunity ??

Look at this woman's face as she's asking the question about deporting legal immigrants as if it's some sort of a terrible thing to do .............. I just can't believe it's a taboo issue, this is exactly why the Democrats lost massively this election cycle

JAIL TIME?? If you listen to her words carefully, Cortez (aka AOC) could actually be breaking the Law by creating an Insurrection among the Public?? Trump's Legal Team should look into the Legality of Sandy Cortez's Words and if that constitute an Act of Insurrection among the Public?? The Ideas she is spreading to the American Public is very Harmful and perhaps Unlawful???

There are so many people waiting in line for years to come here legally, and it is unfair when illegals just enter and can stay in such a short time. And they are given services that American citizens, who are having a hard time making ends meet, need. Look at New York, it is a shithole right now

What they should do is hit pause on immigration. I believe they should grandfather in those who arrived prior to a specified year.\n\nI’m sure the majority is ok with immigration. JUST DO IT LEGALLY and for the gov to stop over extending our taxes and money. \n\nAmerica should come first. Americans have been put on the back burner while illegal immigrants get way more help which in turn hurts the very people who were born and raised here. We got people and children starving in this very country yet have a helping hand for those who don’t live here, came illegally or even like us. \n\nSo put the pause on and help Americans then help others. Other countries have stricter policies than we do and they’re thriving. and I believe don’t have as many issues as we do. \n\nAmerica leaders need to look into how other successful countries are running things and see how they can implement or improve on those.

Marc miller you don’t care about keeping Canadians safe you have brought terrorists into this country including that man and his son from isis you don’t do proper background checks to make sure people who come across the border aren’t criminals you let anyone come across the border look at all the crime and violence in cities like Toronto this is caused by you Marc miller and all the liberals including Justin Trudeau because you allow this to happen you won’t do this the proper way because your government is too lazy and only cares about themselves so stop lying close the borders and hire people who will do background checks on people coming across the border most of these people aren’t here legally and need to be sent home as well because they don’t want to accept Canadian culture they want to change it into their own culture from back home you either accept Canadian culture or don’t come here at all!

I've lived here 6 years and can't wait to leave. Salaries are just enough to get by. I work full-time as an analyst and am looking for a minijob just to save money, which I already live quite modestly. It's easy to come across nasty unfriendly people, neighbors, service people, people in government agencies. I hate people staring in the most unfriendly manner or givng attitude for no reason other than they are nasty people. Don't get me wrong, there are nice people as well, but the bad experiences outweigh the good. Beauracracy is overbearing, personalities are underwhelming, the food scene is underwhelming, learning German is a big burden when you work a full-time job (and now I need a minijob too??). The country seems like it wants to diminish the human spirit and ambition. I definitely regret moving here. Many housing companies are over charging rent. I found out the company, Deutschewohnen, who owns my apartment was overcharging me by nearly double!! I had to go through a year long court procession to get them to lower it to the legal price which I won. And now they sent me a letter last month saying they are raising my rent, which is illegal and I have to go through ANOTHER court battle with them. Of course it is exhausting to try and find another apartment. Some people search up to a year. What a joke. And not to mention the dating scene. I've been single the entire 6 years and I'm quite an outgoing, friendly, loveable person. Dating Germans comes with own weird experiences and I refuse to give them a chance anymore, for my own mental health. If you're POC, it's not uncommon to come across strange sexualizations and general lack of understanding other's cultures. A couple years ago I was attacked by 8 men while walking home at night. I ended up in the hosopital and there was an investigation opened. The police asked me why they attacted me, which I didn't know since it was unprovoked. They just followed me for awhile, surrounded me and started beating me. The police said it was probably because I'm Asian. Meanwhile, I'm not even Asian!!! I'm Latino. ??‍♂This is the type of ignorance POC have to deal with in Germany. Also, I only have 1 German friend and all my other friends are immigrants (which I love) but this poses it's own frustrations because many people move here, then move away after a few years when they learn they can have a more fulfilling life elsewhere. So keeping long term day-to-day friends can be a challenge. The entire system is exhausting and there's not enough balance to bring joy to my life to want to stay. When I lived in NYC, an African American aquaintance had just moved there after living in Berlin for 8 years. She warned me not to move here because I will never feel I belong. I didn't listen. That was a big mistake. Germans can have Germany. I'll find my joy elsewhere. End of rant. haha

Lady... Under Trump's immigration policy he'd forget that American claim of your Mexican-American status. If you don't believe me, look at how he is treating the legal Haitians who sought asylum.
