When a country is at war, the refugee population will be majority women and children. This is a statistical absolute. See Ukraine. \nEconomic migration follows a different but well traveled pattern: men go alone, establish themselves, and send for family when they are able. \nYet, we see that the Middle East and African asylum seekers are overwhelmingly young single men. They are not feeling war, they are seeking to improve their economic situation. The problems is that they are posing as refugees, and the resources and good will that are meant for refugees ate diverted to the imposter's.\nIt naturally angers people. It's an intolerable Injustice. It should not be tolerated. \n\nEconomic immigrants should arrive by invitation with needed skills. They benefit themselves and their host country. They do not get fee hotel stays and food. \nSo, our imposter refugees are economic immigrants who would be refused entry because they do not have the requisite skills.\n\nThis situation is outrageous.

It is only in the G7 countries that the need for immigration is being called for, and the politicians of these countries do not prioritize their own citizens. They also have in common that they are invited to the Davos Conference and receive special assistance. Think about why China, Russia, and sparsely populated Central and Eastern European countries are not interested in the immigration issue, and why the people at the Davos Conference are not interested either.

As an Indian student, i would like to share with you my perspective \n1) you will never see me dancing in public, blasting music and littering \n\nI actually spend my sundays cleaning plastic from trails \n\n2) i am a full time student for 4 years funding over 90 grand for a bachelor on top of that paying my taxes and paying 1100$ a month for rent being limited to 24 hours a week I do not work outside campus I work the job the college provided to me \n\nThe problem comes up when people use the 1 year and 6 month diploma program to enter the country and work here full time \n\nThey associate themselves only with indians mainly because they cant speak the English language fluently \nTherefore they associate with the exact people they associated with back home \n\nHow will they adapt to a new country if they hang out with the same people \n\n\nI came to canada with a goal \n\nTo make Canadian friends \nLearn about Canadian culture \nStart a new life \nAnd work my ass off to get my degree \n\n\nMost people move here to make more money \n\nThey sell their land and do so \n\nPlease do not associate hard working indians who adapt and leave their past behind with these people who have come here purely to exploit the system\n\n\nTrust me I know it's hard to hear this but good Indians do exist. I have so many Canadian friends who love me as much as I love them. I know how hard you guys work and I am so amazed at how well you carry yourself through this hard time I unfortunately happen to be Indian something I cannot control and I have been a victim to so much discrimination and hate just because I happen to be born in India it's crazy. \n\nWe are respectful Indians we do exist we do have Canadian friends we do adapt to Canadian values and we work hard for the land that gave us this wonderful opportunity to grow . Not all 5 fingures are the same . \n\nYou ask us all to leave but completely forget That it was your institutions invited us in accepted our massive payment , stamped our visas at immigration and let us in \nThe tax money that I pay goes to your government \nThe double fees we pay funds your colleges allowing it to provide quality education to domestic students at half the rate. \n\n\nDon't demonize hard working students because of the people who exploit the system. We have the right to a good life just as much as each and every one of you . We have family we have People we love and we have sacrificed a lot please don't demonize each and every one of us because of the ones who don't know how to behave

it’s not anti- immigration. Our country is in horrible shape. No jobs the ages are decreasing people need multiple jobs. We can’t invite more people here until we get a handle on the people that are here.

Also remember that many illegal immigrants, asylum seekers and refugees simply walked from the northern states of the USA across Canada's border into Canada and Canada got stuck with them too. Having to house them and feed them etc because Canada couldn't sent them back because of some international law. These laws allowing anyone to enter someone else's country without being invited or without asking for and receiving the respective countries permission is not right. We all have borders for a reason. Too keep people and things out that we do not want and to keep things inside that we need and treasure. That's the whole point of a country having borders.

This is really sad! Ideally, this should never have happened. But Canadian natives are very frustrated with the sheer number of Indians overpopulating the country and degrading their quality of life. Trudeau has completely messed up Canada with his terrible policies. And the problem is that they are welcoming only Indians/South Asians, no other ethnicity. When you invite low skilled population from a specific country in MILLIONS, it's a recipe for ethnic resentment! We also know that a lot of Indians are not the best representatives globally because of the lack of respect for people and their surroundings. This results in the natives lashing out on innocent people who are just trying to get by. It's just a messed-up situation from all the sides. Don't go to Canada guys, it's not worth it. Especially if you go there to participate in gig economy and achieve nothing of value.

I believe India is the best country to stay because:\n- Rents extremely high in developed cities . Property prices unaffordable in big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata. People are paying life long EMI till death.\n- Teachers focus more on Private tutions to make money. If you don’t take lessons from them, they will fail you in education system \n-Government doctors more focus on Private practices than their Government jobs. In ICU doctors sometimes sleep because they are tired for their private pactices.\n- Court takes decades to settle court cases. \n- Extremely high inflation - Food prices uncontrolled \n- Retirees not worked for Government getting hard time to pay bills specially medical treatment cost. It’s really hard for them to stay in big cities. No Indian government help and support. Government basically don’t care them. Only big big words at the time of vote \n- middle class working upto 11 pm to save their job , no retirement money- just surviving \n- After completing MBA, lot of job seekers land in selling target oriented credit card selling and driving Uber/ Toto \n- Ministers have so much under table money they keep their money inside the walls of their property \n- Sides of Highways full of Poverty . Hello, I live in BC, Canada. Canada is currently in a very rough state, and I can only hope things will improve soon. One of the biggest issues is the rampant, uncontrolled immigration. The government invited a flood of people into the country without having the necessary infrastructure in place—jobs, healthcare, housing—to support them. Now they're trying to cap immigration, hoping for a turnaround, but it's like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.\n\nCanada's drug and crime policies are an absolute joke. I also have an Instagram account where many students ask me about studying in Canada. I always tell them that if they're doing well in India, they should stay there. The problem isn't just with India's education system—it's with the unrealistic mindset of people wanting to come to Canada.\n\nWe see students desperately going from one store to another, begging for jobs that simply aren't there. Some even sell their land or property, especially in Punjab, thinking they'll find a better life here. But right now, it's just not worth it. When I advise others, they think we're living the dream in Canada while trying to stop them from coming. I moved to Canada 12 years ago, and the country has changed beyond recognition.

What's one of the main reasons why a foreign country would invite foreign workers into their country to work?? Because there are native citizens of that particular nation that don't want to work, they are lazy.. I understand the issue about overpopulation, but on the other hand, the opportunities have always been there for the natives to take advantage of, but did they?? So the government had to come up with a system to fill those vacancies, and in some cases, another reason why natives can't get a job, is because they are not qualified.. I think if an immigrant should be there with the aim to create a better life, I'm sure it can be achieved with hardwork and sacrifices, because a lot of us want to live above our means/ budget, spending more than we earn, instead of saving towards accomplishing a specific goal.. And i think a lot of people go with this false belief that that particular country is paradise, so they think as they land, their lives would be changed instantly, not knowing that they have to work very hard and make sacrifices to achieve their goals, and that's the main issue, they go without having any aims or goals, they go with the wrong mindset and attitude, and the list goes on.. And these students that are protesting, they should be trying to make a difference in the country to demonstrate to the government and the natives there that they are worthy to be a part of the nation, because they are not taking from it, but rather adding more values to it.. I think it all depends on the mindset.. And of course, i do agree that an immigrant should assimilate..

We're not dealing with a surge in balanced immigration drawing from a balanced global demographic. That's nearly universally agreeable amongst Canadians and it likely will never change because Canadian itself is not an ethnic identity but an identity built around shared values. We are, in real time and in nearly every city across the country, experiencing solely a surge in Punjabi immigration. They tend to congregate into tight communities, stack houses with up to 10-15 people in hardly adequate living conditions, and then disproportionately and even sometimes exclusively hire or provide tenantship to people based on ethnicity. Not admitting that would be wilfully ignoring the obvious. Canada is exceptionally inviting of immigrants, especially when they try to integrate and join the broader Canadian society. This recent surge of immigration has been different. Everyone can feel it. It doesn't feel like people are coming here anymore, as much, to join and enrich the country but instead just to enrich themselves and create completely separate, ethnically segregated groups. I prefer when the boundaries between groups to associate and co-operate are as open and mutually beneficial as possible. My family came here and now we are entirely embedded into Canadian culture and fully identify with the Canadian values.

But why is Immigration allowed in Canada at the first place. Do you guys know the reason? Thats because of aging population and someone was needed to pay for your retirement. So if Indians chose to come here and work hard why do you have the problem. Immigration is a point based system in Canada. If Indians are getting good points than other countries , is that problem? IRCC validates skill, experience, etc. if Indians have those skills, is that a problem? Not just Trudeau, what about conservative government province like Alberta? Who said they don't want to go home? Canada invites international students with a promise to give them PR if they can finish school and qualify using one of the programs. I know because that's how I came to Canada. Unlike the US where it's hard to stay and you need a marriage, in Canada you can use a qualifying job. Usually people sponsored by family to get PR, as well as refugees, are put ahead of international students as well as those on work permits. \n\nIn the meantime, International students over-pay into post secondary, as well as working off campus and paying taxes, but are always last in line when it comes to being granted PR. The rules change so much so fast, it's easy to find yourself out of time and kicked out of the country. \n\nSo whoever watches this will be happy that International students are getting kicked out, but the problem with too much immigration won't be solved because the country is still taking in so many refugees. Right now it's international students getting the axe and are the scape goats in ths game. \n\nAlso, the reason why Canada takes in more immigrants beyond the obvious, is because they want to eventually do away with property rights. So while people can cheer kicking out international students, it doesn't prevent the inevitable from happening, because the politicians took in too many new people.. \n\nAnyway, good luck to everyone, from either side of this debate, it's bad news all around wharever the final outcome.

Everywhere I go, I’m a minority now. This is crazy! I am 100% for inviting vetted people who can be an asset to our country but I’m not okay with inviting mass amounts of people into the country that aren’t a true benefit having them here. And then no one‘s offering the immigrants jobs because there is no jobs but that’s not again the Canadians fault they can’t afford to put food on their own table. Canadians are hard-working and I know lotta immigrants are hard-working in regards to the students don’t come here maybe the United States will be best for you they offer lotta countries. The gov't is ruining our country. They've ignored the fact that it takes a long time to grow the education system, healthcare system, housing & yes cultural absorption. It just takes time to do this properly and the gov't is just gone crazy ignoring these issues.\n\nYou just can't invite millions of people from different cultures and think our culture will survive. We were already in a housing crisis before Trudeau brought over those 80,000 refugees/immigrants, then we had all those who jumped our border from the US because Trudeau invited them to come to Canada. All that on top of our usual amount of immigrants that come in every year.\nIn the end we should have a MAXIMUM cap on the total # of refugees/immigrants that can enter the country per year no matter how/why they want to enter, and we should require all of them to have skills/trades/etc that we actually need. Why should we be bringing in people who can't/won't work? I know that the UK brought in refugees over 50 years ago that the majority of are STILL on welfare and the majority of their kids are on welfare too.\n\nI think Trudeau has spent more on refugees/immigrants then he has spent on our own homeless people, veterans and mental health care combined.

I married my spouse and moved to the United States from Canada. Before, I didn't give the US much thought and merely loved travelling to a few of the locations. Having said that, even after spending five years there, I have never witnessed a country and a population as divided as the US. You proudly display your flag, yet you're so racist, illiterate, and a bible-thumper that it disgusts me. The United States is not the most free country in the world, despite what the public believes and thinks. In reality, it is also depressing to observe how the healthcare system handles people. The social safety net is completely missing, and by that I mean that most jobs don't pay for maternity leaves or vacations unless you work at a senior level or for a high-end company. The political system is so rigged that it is understandable why people are tired of voting every two years, and perhaps even every year. Most certainly, especially since your elections begin almost exactly when the previous one finished. I suppose I could go on forever, but I'll stop here. Although Canada is not perfect, is not free from controversy or problems, and is not the best at everything, we are able to concede defeat, acknowledge that someone was wrong or that we might have done better, work together with one another, and express that we are SORRY. Yes, it is a word that is never used in the US, and that is also the issue. I'm pleased to be back in Canada, where I belong, and I regret ever leaving. Yes, returning to Canada feels peaceful and inviting compared to travelling to the US, where every trip involves an interrogation to ensure that you don't remain too long. There is no need to worry because I won't be returning to stay, only visit, as previously.

I'm not an immigration expert or an economist, but the problem with Canada isn't our immigration system, but WHAT the immigrants do afterwards. Sure, we take in hundreds of thousands of them...but for what jobs? Is Canada, for example, a truly dynamic tech hub? At one point yes, but only briefly and it seems like that process has stalled out considerably since the pandemic.\nDo we have the infrastructure for all of these people or are we adding hundreds of thousands of new competitors for housing? We have population growth, but the wages are so uncompetitive that it increasingly feels like Canada is inviting immigrants in to build the country...but Canadians have to create things for them to build or else, this doesn't really work, and these highly mobile, educated people will end up leaving (which is already a problem).

It's unconscionable that we've invited people to come to Canada without actually following through on the promise we made to them in the first place. Was it all just sloganeering designed to appeal to liberal progressive NIMBYers? Was there ever any intent on actually doing something for these poor people beyond a sound bite or photo op? \n\nThe solution to migration because of war, terror, famine and so on is not by opening up the borders and allowing everyone in, the solution to mass migrations (over 100 million worldwide) is to tackle the conditions that make such migrations necessary. Almost without exception, each one of these migrant/refugee situations are the result of political problems that have to be tackled in those countries where the conditions exist. There are over 100 million people fleeing conditions that make life unbearable, even if we wanted to, how are we to take them all into North America? How does anyone propose we do that, and even if we could manage it somehow, another 100 million would show up on our doorstep next year...or next week...it's simply not possible or reasonable to expect us to be overwhelmed by wave after wave of the poor unfortunate. The solutions to war and famine abroad can't be found here and we need to make it plain that people who live in such conditions must first rise up to help themselves. We can and should help, politically, through foreign aid and individual donations (North Americans are among the most generous donators after all), and even militarily where feasible or possible. The UN and other coalitions of nations, must each take up the burdens before people smugglers take it up for them. We have our own problems to deal with here and I'm not willing to vote for promises made that were never meant to be kept.

The first time i travelled across Canada on a road trip, heading west, going town to town along the TransCanada Hiway, i choose a black friend to accompany me. I choose him because he was really easy to get along with and i knew he was an auto mechanics enthusiast, which, as it turned out came in handy on the trip. We were on the road for a few months. I grew up in a city in a little multicultural bubble of liberalism and was taught as a child not to judge others based on skin colour or sex; to be respectful towards people of all ilks and ethnicities. The thing is, i was young enough to not really realize that i was in a bubble. As we travelled though parts of Saskatchewan and Alberta, where there are few to no blacks in many towns, i began to realize that Canada is quite racist in the outback and little towns mid country. I was surprised and actually angered by it. My friend took it in stride however. For example, i was meeting people, getting invited home for dinner and meet the wife and kids sort of thing, and my friend couldn't even get a conversation going with most people, they just totally ignored him and gave him a wide berth. I know underlying all of that is just the fear of an unknown quantity and the fact that a lot of Canadians watch American news sometimes which tends to be chock full of black in gang wars, shooting each other and committing violent crime so they get a false view of black culture because the news at that time rarely showed blacks unless they were committing a crime.
