We must blame this on the failed Canadian government because it should attract immigrants from all over the world since Canada is a country of diverse origins and relies on immigration. Therefore, Indian immigration should be stopped completely, or strict conditions should be imposed for accepting Indian immigrants. On the contrary, immigrants should be attracted from Europe, the Middle East, and South America with simplified and easy conditions to ensure a noticeable diversity in the population composition.

It is mostly the fault of the incompliant and corrupt Liberal government for the massive influx of unskilled India workers/students. Under previous sane governments, there were manageable caps that controlled the influx and allowed for proper immigration of vetted and skilled workers, but the Liberals stopped properly vetting people and basically opened the flood gates. For a Canadian company to hire foreign workers, they used to have to prove there were no Canadian workers to do that job, so foreign workers were mostly used in seasonal agriculture work, but due to very shady government deals with big corporations Trudeau approved paying wage subsidy and turning a blind eye to Canadian workers so Singh Hortons (and many other big businesses) could have workers for a cut rate and the government tax dollars paid up to 70% of wages and welfare. Also Foreign workers think they can stay here once their visa's expire, refusing to leave. There is simply no need for Canada to bring in over a million Indians that are in hard times in their own country. Our welfare or culture can't stand it. Not sure if you missed it or not, but India's foreign minister at the start of summer, thanked Trudeau for taking all their criminals, and low caste people. But People need to follow proper immigration policy, and not buy a ticket to Canada from a India scammer guaranteeing citizenship, which has been the case as well. Getting immigration back to sensible levels of skilled workers in the next step, and not just massive amounts of one culture. Diversifying the diversity. Canada is one of the best countries, I agree there are few downfalls, but on the other hand you can’t even in judge a book by just looking at it’s cover. If you are well educated, this country is the best to live in. Canada has already made their immigration policies stern, and are not welcoming everyone now. Do you think Indian politicians are doing good to keep India safe according to their duties? Don’t you think India has a drug problem too? Apply for a visa and come here, you’ll see many people settled, enjoying their life here. People have to face struggles when you move to a new country, it takes time. Canada in one of the most diverse country, go to a school here, they celebrate and acknowledge different cultures and teach about them. I think Indian are well settled and living luxurious life here.

I am constantly annoyed by the following, but because I was born in Canada, I would be cancelled for saying the things you can. I am also Indian. Here’s the list that comes to mind. I might come back and edit this because I am sure there are things I am forgetting: \n\n- coughing into your elbow instead of your hands (literally watched a guy yesterday on the bus cough into his hands then put his hands onto the support bar)\n\n- Standing to the side and letting people off the train so you can get on instead of trying to walk through people who are trying to get off \n\n- Standing up and moving to the side to let somebody off on an inside seat of the bus. I have a butt. I don’t want to be squeezing by you \n\n- Taking off their backpack while standing on the bus and putting it between their legs\n\n- Moving to the back of the bus instead of crowding by the doors\n\n- Standing in lines to get onto the bus instead of crowding\n\n- Not littering. Either put your garbage in the bin or take it with you. Stop leaving it on the beach or on hiking trails.\n\n- Learn about hiking before attempting it. We have people going up in jeans and flip flops in the evening and getting stuck on mountains or injured. Some wear running shoes but they don’t have enough traction for the trail\n\n- Shovel the sidewalk in front of your home when it snows\n\n- Stop dousing yourself with axe body spray. \n\n- Understand that Indian food makes your clothes smell. It gives off oils that get stuck in everything. Open your windows and doors when cooking to minimize this as much as possible. You won’t be able to resolve this entirely but do what you can. The skytrain now smells like Indian food even when empty. \n\n- Stop riding your bikes and scooters on the sidewalk. It’s illegal and you have a responsibility to learn the rules \n\n- Stop hiring everybody that you know. Before nepotism was all about networking, but nowadays, it seems to be about hiring Indian people that you know. I am being discriminated by employers because they think I will do the same once I am in. Diversity in teams matters. Indian immigrants don’t seem to believe in this and think all that matters is the most qualified get the job. This is how you end up building facial recognition models that don’t recognize Black people. \n\n- You work at McDonald’s. Stop blasting Indian music. The McDonald’s by my place is blasting Indian music from the back and it overtakes the restaurant music. \n\n- In a work environment, even if it is all Indians, speak English. You ostracize your fellow colleagues and customers. You are also not improving your English skills by speaking in your primary language.\n\n- Make an effort to make non-Indian friends. It’s really intimidating even as an Indian to see large packs of Indian men\n\n- Learn how to swim. Every year we have multiple drownings at a lake because Indian people are unprepared for the reality of the water. This is a basic safety skill.\n\n- Stop staring at women. Even as an Indian woman I get stared at by these guys. Just stop. \n\n- Get headphones. Playing music or having conversations on speakerphone in public places is rude and very inconsiderate of others \n\n- Stop cheating. Whether that’s cheating the system or during classes. We grow up here and environment that even though we can cheat, the culture makes it completely unethical and you just don’t. The consequences are significant. I get it that you come from a country that doesn’t have enough resources for its population, but you give the entire Indian community a bad name when you cheat, lie, and do other unethical things.\n\n- Learn about Canadian values. The Canadian charter of rights and freedoms exists. Under it cases were won supporting equality for women, LGBTQ rights, etc. this is built into our constitution and it’s so ridiculous to come across people who don’t adopt Canadian values. Why choose Canada if you want a culture of what’s back at home. \n\n- I get it that our healthcare system needs to improve but am disappointing reading advocacy for private healthcare in Indian Facebook groups in Canada. Tommy Douglas was voted as the greatest Canadian. He is the founding father of our nationalized healthcare system. For the most part, Canadian are happy that we don’t have a healthcare system like the United States, where your access is determined by your employer or your income. We don’t go bankrupt when we have a health emergency. Go back to India or go to another place where you can pay for private healthcare, but stop advocating to transition our healthcare system to a private system. While you’re at it go look up who was determined to be some of the greatest Canadians.

This is an unpopular opinion but as a non white person, I feel it is the overwhelming diversity. So diverse, a country has lost its identity, it’s values. When I visited Canada in 2019, I wanted to experience “Canada” but I saw India, Pakistan, China, Africa, Middle East..you name it.

As an Indian living in India, I also hate Canadians as well. They stereotype whole India without realizing the diversity of India. They are putting the blame on Indians, but not ready to acknowledge their immigration policy is poor. Your immigration policy should encourage bright minds to move there, but their selection criteria favours particular religion, area and people. Punjab is only a small part of India and so is Gujarat. Majority of Indians don't care about Canada.

Canadians are to be blamed for this. They do not want bright students or the best minds, they want people who falsely portray they are persecuted in their country, they want people who can do blue collar jobs. They have poor screening process. They don't profile based on the region for diversity. They are too many people from few states of India and Canadians don't have insights into the diversity of India. People from Punjab already have a bad repo for being bad tourist in Himachal and Uttarakhand as well.

The real goal of diversity is to erase Western culture which, was one of Karl Marx's wishes.

The countries of European nations are being flooded with foreigners, overrunning these nations. Places like England, Germany, France, Netherlands, etc are ethnic wellsprings. Just like Japan, Korea, Vietnam, India, etc, etc. Flooding these wellsprings with other ethnic groups dissolves the ethnic groups (the nations) of those countries. England should be for the English, Japan for the Japanese, Germany for the Germans, etc. If the ruling regime actually cared about respecting different ethnicities/cultures and their existence, if they cared about actual diversity, they'd be opposed to immigration. But instead they are destroying European nations - and places like Japan and South Korea are also in the early stages of this. i used to be proud of our diversity. i’m 41. \nbut starting a year ago. no. it’s just too much. where did all these people and specifically from india come to canada? it’s out of control.

In Canada, diversity means bringing more people from India! The politicians are ignoring real Canadians when they spend billions to put asylum seekers in hotels!! When will there be a Govt who takes care of its citizens first?

I been in Canada since age 11 and now 48. It is great to be part of both sides as I m an Indian born but got best of both countries and values. I work for a very large company and I feel I treated fairly and with utmost respect. Fact is Canada was hard for me when I started school from grade 6 to grade 10. I then changed schools and I was not bullied and face racist people. I went to diverse school. So diversity is good. Now my kids grew up here and feels at home but now there so many Indians here and clearly people here are annoyed and racism is become quiet high. I was verbally abused by strangers with racist slurs in the last few months. When I go shopping I been getting picked on by strangers at least 5 to 6 years the last 5 years or so. But now people don’t care and they act more and more racist. Indians sending there kids here should be aware of this. Also kids from India come here and try to do parties and drugs also. This becoming common. There is also many idiots from Punjab also. Many have criminal and drug and alcohol problems and they bring it here. It’s getting quiet messy. The government issues visa without checking peoples background. It’s madness. Stay safe. Canada is good country but the risks are also there now.

Agreed with all your points and thanks for sharing. But honestly, I fail to understand two points here. 1. People living in Canada and commenting that it is true and they are baffled with this whole situations, when exactly you are coming back to India? People will tell you that they want to come back but no one will. It is because those who actually left for Canada in order to have a better lifestyle are still having a better lifestyle in Canada and they will never return back (atleast in the near future). They left for Canada citing the reasons that India is polluted and they are toured based on religion (you know exactly whom I am talking about) but whatever the case is...they are still not coming back. 2. No country is perfect, I agree that Canada has its own problems to deal with but then why Indians are leaving for US, UK and Australia where racisms and cost of living high too? It is because they have issues with India too and those who have issues with a well diverse and prospered country like India, will have problems in other country as well. So if you don't wanna come to Canada, all good but other countries have same problems as well (atleast 80% matches the points discussed in the video - exclude drug ofcouse).

They have little to none concept of living in society. You said yourself: To be eligible for a mortgage , you need to make at least $250k per year. According to the news we broke 40 Million residents in Canada in the new year. They just announced that the Canadian population is already at 41 million as of last week. How can we absorb this many people. I would say the majority are from India. A lot of these new residents are amazing. But hear me out......For more than 70 years Canada has accepted diverse immigrants from around the world. These immigrants have always had challenges with acceptance and integration as they bought homes and had families and raised children to be Canadians. But these immigrants are economic migrants. They don't want to be Canadians like they used to. They want the PR, and the citizenship. But they want to work and move all that money out of Canada back to India. Then when they retire, they themselves will dump all their Canadian assets and move to India where cost of living and home ownership is exceedingly less expensive. Even their federal government pension plan money will move out of the country. I'll be totally truthful...MY perception of these economic migrants is that THEY HATE US. In India they are educated, come from Middle class and upper middleclass families. They want the PR and Citizenship so they can eventually pull their entire family from India over to Canada. But they have to Work at Burger king or Tim Hortons when they arrive. And the HATE and resent Canadians for it. \n Canada allows people to keep their foreign passports and citizenship. There are 300,000 people with Canadian citizenship living in Hong Kong, There are 450,000 people with Canadian citizenship living in Lebanon with a War about to expand across the border. I think what Canada needs to adopt it’s a quota on the number of immigrants coming in from each country. Open it to everyone based on the same point system we have now, and once’s those openings are full for India, Italy, Thailand etc… that’s it you’d have to wait till next year that the quota opens again. This will allow a more diverse immigration and minimize the xenophobia that come with having huge numbers coming in from only one region

Canada is INDIA! I am a immigrant and my family wanted to come to a diverse country but my ENTIRE neighborhood is INDIAN or MUSLIM. Indians are racist and bring their caste system and color issues and they do not assimilate because there are no Canadians to assimilate with. VOTE TRUDEAU OUT!

Even from a liberal standpoint, this doesn't seem right. Diversity means people from diverse backgrounds. It is only India, India, India, India, and India in Canada. Get rid of all of those Indians from immigration office and let others make the decision. Indians shouldn't be granted any kind of visas.

Note how majority of people interviewed had accents from different countries? How many sounded as if they were born here? That's not saying these are bad people nor unwanted. It's saying that this is NOT DIVERSITY. MAJORTY are coming from India and its killing our job prospects, housing market and CANADIAN CULTURE AS A WHOLE.

As an Indian (not living in Canada), I want to beg Canadians to stop calling them Indians. Most of them are from just 1 region of India. Don't know why you are interested in people from this 1 region only instead of providing visas to diverse group of Indians. Secondly, as you have seen recently, most of these people are anti-India and hate India and want their home region to get separated from India even if they are not living in India, they want to comment on India's sovereignty. All the racists stereotypes that you guys have are originating from this 1 community only who themselves don't think they are Indians. Your anti-India PM Trudeau found their support in these anti-India elements and now your own country is suffering because of them. Do whatever you want to do with them, just don't send them to India.

I lived in Brampton until middle of 2009. There seemed to be a good mix of cultures and lots of diversity then. I'm surprised to see that it changed so much. I'm okay with people from wherever and why not India, but it's disturbing that there are so many drug addicts and homeless people. Is it the immigration or is it because of the kind of people who stayed in Brampton? Did they stay because they had no choice? It makes no sense though that so many people left this city. Well, I left it too. Edmonton is a much nicer place than anywhere in the GTA.

Canada should stop receiving immigrants from India, we should enforce immigrants from other countries to make that bar more even. I don’t want Canada to turn into India 2.0. I want more diversity.

Don't blame the students. Blame the govt. All this is drama and Trudeau pretending to aquiescent to the protests. You should never allow more than 5% of diversity in equal men/women proportion and that too from every country with the exception of India. India gets a bit more share because India a collection of countries but not a country in reality. India is just a concept created based on religion when partion occured to separate and form Hindu and Muslim states.

I came here from India to Canada to research in machine learning at a top lab. Every single tim horton has an Indian PR holder who has never been to college. I feel like I am back in India lol. I'm a Japanese born & raised in Toronto, and used to love Canada. Now I'm seriously thinking of moving to Japan - a country that protects itself from migrants, and even over-tourism recently. I don't mind diversity, but not willing to live in Little India, nor listen to people preaching their Muslim/Islamic faith every day ???
