But we can’t let our fellow Americans write him off like one. Evil thrives in the shadow of dismissive mockery, which is why we must take the danger of Donald Trump very seriously. Before the US election, any concern about Trump's radical proposals was dismissed as falling for his hyperbole or over-reaction, that Trump was just babbling and didn't actually mean half of what he said on any given day. And this was the argument from those trying to defend his campaign. now, watching him deliver on one whackadoo plan after another.. so freaking depressing. The only bright star I have found is that there are still functioning democracies around the world. Never thought I would become a refugee of a totalitarian state. The problem is the US runs a deficit of 6% and piles up public debt although unemployment is extremely low , so instead of raising income tax or other social security contributions, the new administration tries to get money from tariffs, it will work like an increase of VAT . Cutting expenditure and increasing income to finance the federal budget through tariffs is another way to reduce deficits. The price however is to loose a lot of partners and the status of a super power.

Reading as much as I could of the comments below, it is with great respect that we as human can still care for one another even when we are from different countries, continents, backgrounds an so one. If look at another perspective, if Trump did not impose tarrifs, then Canada will continue to sell the cars back to US for high profits. Trump mentioned about this, he is not happy. The province of BC just ceded sovereignty to an Island chain (Haida Gwaii) to an indigenous group that is against virtually any economic development. Northern Canada, as vast as is, is essentially blocked from new resource development. Every investment, including housing development, needs approval from, usually in the form of a payment to, an Indian Band. The level of corruption here is at South America levels.\n\nI think the unsaid part about excessive immigration levels the last few years was that was used to mask what the government was doing.

Been to USA and was terrified of getting sick or hurt the whole time I was there. Our healthcare is free. Everyone possibly carrying guns was a scary thought also. When I was 19 I went to ft lauderdale, scary as youth were falling off balconies from drunkenness and I got accosted (attempted recruitment). by I don’t know how many pimps. If anyone has seen a trans person who is going through any psychological stress or issues, you know that they can be some of the most viable and erratic people.
