Canada needs a new leader, Ukraine will take the deal to end the war, Trump can and will do what he said .. it doesn’t matter what anyone thinks of Trump personally.. it’s going to be uncomfortable people don’t like change but Trump is not going to stop he’s just getting started and he doesn’t care what people think of him he’s confident in his choices

I think it's important to citizens of the world outside of America to know that not all of us represent this government! I am a veteran and never would turn my back on leadership... Until this clown. I stand with Canada, and all of you who have stated as much. We who didn't vote trump in can now only stand by and watch this mistake happen! It's going to take nations to come together with us to stop this dictator from destroying everything we've fought for! I have given my life to the military as we deployed to many countries to support efforts to rebuild after disasters both natural and man made. I do agree with you for some things but not all and i do think it was your best speach since 9 years but it does not take away what you have done wrong over your 9 years attacking freely canadien on there rights example:hunting right, sportshooting rights and freedom of expressing,running after the wrong person example:taking away legal firearms when they are not the problem since 80% of illegal firearms comes from outside the canada, I think that trump is just not taking canada seriously, over the past years since you are in power,canada has made a very bad name except for the freedom convye, which in that case made canadien stick together while you steaded in your office,i do think that a new leader/party should take place and give a chance for canada to walk out the mase you have done over 9 years

All these years US has a trade deficit of 1 trillion dollars every year. With tariffs we could have recovered 250 billion every year. That is a lot of money. Currently every American owes $110,000 because of the accumulated debt of 36.5 trillion.\n\nJustin, how long are we supposed to bend back wards while US has a trade deficit of trillion dollar over the past 20 years. Why cant to you balance the imports and exports so that you don't have to keep taking advantage of USA. CNN did not see the trade deficit every single year for 20 years? what are they talking about? Our news channels have just become political entities rather than looking for the greater good of the Americans. One is for Republicans and others for Democrats - ridiculous. \n\nCanada and Mexico are saying, please stop tariffs, it is going to hurt America. LOL. No it is not. If tariffs were there in 2024, US would have gotten back 15 billion dollar revenue from Canada and Mexico would have paid 46 billion to USA. All this time, this was affecting only Americans and while you are enjoying not paying for your share, you have made US pay by taking loans to pay for the imports increasing our Debt. Yes it has been hurting America for the past 20 years, otherwise how did we accumulate 36.5 trillion debt.\n\nLike Justin said, if Canada can survive while paying 15 billion to USA, of course USA will do fine while collecting the 15 billion from Canada and 46 billion form Mexico. USA will use the revenue generated (total around 250 billion for 2025 form tariffs) to reduce our tax, make things more affordable, inject in to our own businesses and generate more employment.

I don't think I've ever seen or heard Trudeau this angry before. Justifiably so. I hate that your government has done this but Canada will not back down. There is no real justification for these tarrifs other than Donald trying to take our land and resources. \n\nYou can think what you want about Trudeau, but he is absolutely correct. I maybe an ignorant on politics , but what happens when USA , well not USA but the Trump administrations has caused so much damage to the country to the point where other maybe most of his allies start taking responses such as that of Canada , and escalate to the point where perhaps USA lose most of his allies at least important allies such as Canada, the support of the global geopolitics , I Maine that scenario for a moment wouldn't that give Trump an excuse to align even more openly with Putin? Canadian here. Wake up Canadians. Many people are praising Trudeau for this speech. Don't. He is out as Liberal leader within the week. He doesn't have to follow through on anything he said. Plus, he just stated that he's smart enough to suggest that Trump just put a 25% tax on Canadian goods for Americans but he also thinks that you are dumb enough not to realize that he just put a 25% tax on Canadians for American goods. Trudeau basically created the situation for these tariffs (open border to let anyone come here). He loves this as he gets to take the apparent moral high ground for the first time in his life and wants this speech to be the way he is remembered rather than years of failing Canada. Forget about the last 9 years and vote Liberal if you are a fool.

I live in Nashville, TN USA. I am so sorry Canada is suffering due to Trump. I do not support this move on Trump's part. I never voted for him. I have known for many years he is a dangerous narcissist. Canada is our friend. You have come to our aide in times of trouble. Our forest fires, 911 when the planes hit our twin towers. Trump wants a 4.5 Trillion dollar tax cuts for the wealthy. He sees tariffs as a way to make up some of that money alone with huge budget cuts to many of our programs. Trump is an unreasonable person who only thinks about himself. I hope he will eventually be impeached. I do not blame Canada. I blame Donald Trump and the the Republican Congress. As a Canadian I dislike the tarrifs and think they are harmful on both sides. What is keeping me awake at night is what we all fear is truly behind this. This is only the beginning. The pressure for Canada to accept becoming an US state will get to levels you guys don't even imagine now. He will go as far as invading you and take you by force. He wamts your huge territory and resources. Unless the congress impeaches him, you will be taken by force.
