You forgot to talk about the "diploma mills" problem. Many of them are not qualified and must be sent back. Just because a corrupt government lets you in, it doesn't give you the right to take advantage of the people living there.

Who is paying for these hearing ? Who is paying for their medical care? How are they contributing to Canada ? As an Indian living in India, I’d say it was your country’s government’s problem and mistake, similar to what the UK is doing now. Aside from government or policies, Indians immigrating to Canada is something that dates back to the British era, when Britain sent a group of Indians, specifically Sikhs, for security or labor work in Canada. This started the trend of Sikhs (turban-wearing ones) moving there. In modern times, the West was richer in terms of education and infra compared to Asia, which attracted many normal students and families immigrants also. Canada and America were built by immigrants, but now things are saturated, which I understand, and that’s where the resentment comes from. The majority Sikh state ( punjab) in India is still behind in development and job wise cooperation, and the historical pattern from the British era of moving to Canada for a better life has become a norm for many young people there. The close, collaborative nature of Sikhs—like a cousin in Canada inviting another cousin from India to come over, open a shop, work together, or share housing—is another reason many don’t hesitate to immigrate. These are some of the reasons behind mass immigration from India. Now, with saturation, the resentment toward immigration has grown. India itself faces issues with immigrants who live off our taxes, take rights meant for native children, and abuse policies, laws, or the environment. At least Canada has better-off immigrants—educated and contributing to the economy. While some may depend on taxes, most are hardworking and self-sufficient; otherwise, Canada’s economy would have collapsed by now. In end i can understand the hatred but you guys should stop this yourselves - not hunting them but prevent more.

The problem is not the immigrants. The problem is with Canadian leaders, and the Canadians who elected and reelected them to office. I lived in Nova Scotia for just over 2 decades. I attempted to have many discussions about these issues and was shocked by the generally vapid responses I'd get. Much more to say, but the main point is that Canadians have destroyed their own country's quality of life and from what I can see, Canada is not worthy of respect as a nation. I take ZERO pleasure in saying this. However, the country should have provided the United States with a up close example of what a well run social democratic nation looks like. Personally as an Indian, I really feel bad about it. Unfortunately, we DO go to other countries for a chance at better life and dignity, but a lot us Indians then start to feel privileged and entitled and do not adapt to the culture of the country they are in, and force their own cultures and individual beliefs. This sucks, especially as a young guy who dreams of living in other countries, while respecting their cultures and planning to adapt to them. Even in India too, we don't really pay much taxes since we know its gonna go into corruption anyway, so the Immigrant residents in Brampton may have carried forward that practice as their habit. This gets a lot of us good folks, generalized for no reason too, Although, I do understand the anti-Indian sentiments foreigners have towards us, but again.. not every Indian are like that, since it has also been pointed out by few others. No one has ownership of a country. That is the problem, people, specifically whites, thinking they have the right to dictate who lives in a country they have no ownership rights too. I'm an Indian American, and what Canada is doing is terrible. There's nothing wrong with immigrants, but you need to let in people with the right skills and who are willing to assimilate. Before these people call others ‘migrants,’ they should remember that the only real migrants in Canada were the European settlers who arrived centuries ago and violently seized Indigenous lands. There are always two sides of the story. When British and French went from starting trade with indigeneous to brigning their families and settling towns on their land, they must have had the same feeling. I do acknowledge that there is massive influx of immigrants in a short span which govt. did to compensate for labor needs but they did not invest in infrastructure and orientation of immigrations. I have worked with Canadians in their 60s vs 20s, there was a huge difference in work ethic. My white manager relied on me and my another friend for closing or opening shift than some local preveliged kids. I am in support of deporting illegals but let's educate who are here legally. Collaborate with communities to voice out your concerns and look at the positive impact immigrants have made in past decades.

Conestoga is a sham. The entire region of waterloo has been milking tax dollars to increase things like transit because this greedy "school" totally destroyed it. Canadians who live here can't get room on the bus, or it's just so crowded and smells so horrible they get on and then walk right off again. I've seen people in tears over it. Increasing taxes to pay for the things this school has abused is a load of BS....and worse, They're spreading like a virus. Situated themselves into Guelph - plans for Milton. I lived in Malton in the 1980s when the Sikhs arrived. We were naive in our approach to these newcomers. They bought homes and filled them with up to 25 people breaking property standards. Do you think doing cash jobs will make you rich or something? These jobs are the jobs that no one in the right mind will do. The rates are pretty low and you will be treated like crap. People go to Brampton for cheaper rent. They start to make money usually they move out. We went to Scarborough for 3 months. Then moved to Mississauga and then to Toronto. Bought a house in Oakville and then sold that house and moved out West to Edmonton and then to Calgary. We now live in the States. So these things will happen to pretty much everyone. A few of them will stay in Brampton obviously.

Is Stopping them from coming in, not the easiest answer? Give back the part time jobs to Canadian teens so they can afford to go to school and send home the 8 million immigrants that came into the country during the time of Trudeau and Carney. This will lower cost of housing, right now it takes 5 people on minimum wage to afford a 1 bedroom apartment and we wonder why we have so many people living on the streets. This will open jobs lower prices on food and allow the future generation to afford a a home.

You dont go aboard studying for a better life in that country. U study abroad to either bring back new knowledge to your country or to full fill a requirements for a job back home.. The most common one is the opportunity to have a degree from a well known school for family braging rights and take over family bussiness. Which bring us back to, studying aboard is strictly for wealthy families no matter where u live . Imagine a candian going to london or europe we would pay just as much plus conversion rate. As a brit living in Calgary, who is currently trying to jump through several hoops to try and gain PR, it's super tough and disheartening to see so many people here who don't speak english, don't work in a skilled profession, and don't engage with the Canadian community or culture. To expand on that, I have a great job in construction estimating on $85k a year, I speak fluent english (of course), I rent my own condo, my partner is Canadian and I have multiple Canadian friends. Yet, still I'm not convinced my PR visa will ever be granted. Then I walk into Tim Hortons or Subway and the foreign workers there can't understand a word I'm saying... how is that right??

Not everyone is like that in my experience, I'm not from brampton but I'm sikh and I have sikh friends who are white and indigenous as well. One thing people don't realise is a lot of Canadians are actually really racist. You clearly saw that from the interview of the guy and his wife who was an RN, they passed the exam fair and square but I feel like his lack of understanding of the English language didn't get his point across right. The point he missed was the quality of life is higher in Canada, In India it's way easier, the cost of living is way cheaper, there's tons of cheap labour to hire maids for all your house work for example which is common in their culture, but as you've probably seen online, India isn't the cleanest or friendliest place to be, and if he was a nurse in India he would probably be broke without a good job, and having the opportunity to find good high paying jobs in something that Canadians also do when they travel to the US if a position in their field isn't available in whatever local city they grew up in. The main issue stems from international students from like after covid, regardless of country, India is in the spotlight because there's just more indians compared to other countries international students but its all the same stuff, you have kids from all over the world that might not have learned the same cultural practices, fresh 16-18 year olds living alone for the first time that have to do all their own chores and don't even know how to take care of themselves in some cases or do laundry or anything like that and it doesn't mean they were illegal immigrants or anything, just that they never put in the effort to learn because they were too entitled, its the same with entitled kids that go to Korea or Japan from north America as well that don't learn their culture and customs and misbehave because they are too entitled, and once you understand that you can see the bigger picture more clearly instead of just defaulting to racism. Also I'm not saying they can't be frustrated, its frustrating for everyone, even for me but racism isn't the answer.

this video was very unresolved message buddy. i am sorry if my words sound stupid or weird, my apologies. as an indian who live in india, yes the scarcity related to jobs and financial scrutiny is real but i wouldn't dare leave my country. there are ways to live happily here i am sure for some it might not be as such and they chose to live abroad that's their decision i have nothing to say there. but you have to also understand India houses 1.47 billion population. 1 out of 300 people are able to get in canada but since the size pool is bigger that tries for it the number sky rocket as well. i have no remarks against india not against the canadian who have lived there for generations. in my eyes they both are right and it's government that should do something about it. i can totally understand the perspective of white canadians if all they see is a chruch that was turned into a hindu temple.

In States where there are fewer of outsiders, they have love and respect for these communities, but travel or live in TX, CA, NJ and the likes and you see the friction - the reason we see is the new ones don't follow the laws as strictly, don't respect the local practices as simple as yielding to cars or pedestrians, queuing up in stores, etc. They don't do that in their home countries so they assume it is what they are going to do and locals who built the country with a lot of effort don't like it.

Come & check out Hawkesbury Ontario. Used to be a small town with a few immigrant families here & there, which is totally fine. Now, all sorts of newcomers arriving here with no jobs & no place to live ahead of time. We have some kind of temple that we have no idea what it is and recently an Islamic Centre right on Main Street which we also have no idea what it is really. I could go on & on about this, there are so many strangers here now, walking everywhere, talking on their cellphones and sitting on our Main Street all day long....We try smiling at them or say Hi and they turn their head away from us... We don't recognize our town anymore...

Why wouldn’t they be there. I agree with you to the extent of your understanding of Canadian culture. However, immigrants to Canada should be aware that the First Nations and indigenous people of Canada often have to seek a better life in other countries because colonizers and their descendants show no regard for treaty rights and have disenfranchised First Nations. The government hides the facts about the plight of indigenous Canadians and lie to Canadian immigrants and citizens, always to divide and conquer. Immigrants often don't realize that most indigenous Canadians are living in worse conditions than what the immigrants themselves came from, and few live as comfortably as white Canadians. When white people talk about how hard they have it because of immigrants, they should think about what First Nations have to deal with everyday because of them. Why is there a French-speaking province and not a Cree or Anishnabe speaking province?

My family immigrated during the war, my grandmother came here after escaping a concentration camp when she was a little girl, her and my mother taught me to appreciate what we have, because it was worked hard for, they worked hard to make a living and a future for their families, they were given money by family that was here and paid back every, single, cent, it wasn't just given to them for free by the government while the rest of the people here suffer, so many of the people are brought here and given everything, it's like people have never heard the phrase "Give a man to fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he eats for life." the problem is that they keep giving them fish, so now they expect it so much they damn near demand it... it sickens me. I'm a student right now, 15 years ago it felt like I lived in my home, proudly in Canada, with all kinds of people... now, I go to class, and I feel like I live on a different planet, everyone looks the same, with a hint of variety... American complain that they don't see White people much anymore, I complain because I only see ONE type of person now... nobody else...

This is why I desperately wish there was an actual Libertarian party to vote for in elections! There is a party, but they have not gotten enough signatures to be able to run yet, I don't even know if there is an office or representative in Ontario right now! I wish! Their policies (on paper) seem great, and geared more towards a 'Canada first'/'Canadians First' approach. They touch on a lot of topics and there seem to be a lot of things they want to change! But a government is still a government, they will be motivated by money regardless of any good intentions they may have. So if and when things change, WE NEED TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE! We as the citizens have the power to change things for the better! It's just unfortunate that I see so many people getting pushed down or ignored or hated because they are speaking their mind. Remember, Canada dosen't have laws like the US, our freedoms aren't as protected nor do we have the same freedoms they do (like owning and protecting your own property, or self defense!) We as people need to start being honest and expressing things instead of being terrified of the backlash (of which there will be in these times). The only way we can make progress is by deciding to get out of our comfort zones and standing for what is right! For the freedoms and protections we deserve! To make a future worth living for us and our children! It will not be easy, but when is change ever easy? I hope that one day I won't be terrified of the thought of bringing a life into this world and country. I hope I can be stable enough to be able to give my future children a decent life. But right now? I would never want to have children, things are too unstable and I don't want to bring a child into this country and force them to live a terrible life they never asked for! I desperately want to be able to keep hoping for a better future, a better country, and people who can enjoy their lives instead of constantly worrying and stressing about everything. I hope some can consider looking into the Libertarian party as well! They may be small right now, but they seem to be wanting to right the wrongs that have occured.

I heard why the government did the immigrants wrong. I was talking to an uber driver and my pharmacist. They told me the promises of luxury in Canada has and offered for them to live a better lives. They didn't know after they came here for work and or college/university they become in major debt. They said that they're in a luxury debt and never getting out of debt knowing that they're stuck in Canada and can't be allowed to leave unless they pay off the debts. That's 100 % wrong to do that to people when they know they don't feel welcomed and want to go home. I'm a metis Canadian and I had to leave Ontario to find affordability and miss my home. GOVERNMENT THIS IS YOUR FAULT AND YOU KNOW IT! Let them go home in debt. You made this mess. FIX IT! Including the baby boomers that made the problem started 8 % rate interests to buy houses. That was a mistake that should be bought 1 house and nothing else. I forgot to add something. The uber driver told me that india doesn't know that it's a debt luxury trap that you can't leave unless you pay your debt. He felt alone and found some people and the internet to make himself feel better temporary. TEMPORARY! He hates it here, but he respects Canadians. He feels sorry for the new ones that are coming to become debt trap. It's the same for the pharmacy. She got into college to be a pharmacy and bought the store. She is on low income but doesn't qualify for any supports like benefits to pay off her medical things. The reason she can't because they'll see the pharmacy store is income. Wait what? So she doesn't quilify for benefits because she's making income to pay off her massive loan to do her job. It's not enough to live by as what she told me. She also does misses home, but also traped in luxury debt. This is what I have learned so far. I went through a car accident and coudln't get out of the car. I thought in Brampton, Ontario was the rudest people on the planet, but was saved by the angels of indian people saved me out of the vehicle from the smoke. I still thank you! There is still good people out there and some are stupid people out there. Keep it up because being kind gets you to be positive to others and make things better when the world is fcked right now.

I'm a Canadian, I was born here, who knows what generation Canadian I am - my ancestors were here long before Canada was a country, later they fought for the British (one naughty son fought for the "rebels" americans and was in jail for 5 years), the monarchy granted them 100 acres in the Niagara region which was farmed by a line of my family until the 1980s when the last of that direct line sold which is tragic. blah blah - Canadian. ANYWAY - I love other people, other cultures, every immigrant that spoke in this video I welcome with open arms, would befriend, share a meal with etc. I grew up working with many people from Pakistan and India who were escaping really scary situations, worked their butts off to be part of this country, learn the language, save for a home - live a safe and happy life.
