In the 51 years I have lived in Ontario as a Canadian Citizen……Canada have always been a Racist Country Starting with The Indigenous people Of Canada !!! Remember Mike Harris the Butcher !!!

My husband and I were both immigrants to Canada, he from S. Africa, I from the UK. I never experienced any discrimination. My busband was diagnosed with late stage bone cancer at 31 years old. The medical care was so good that he lived another 6 mostly happy years. We were supported by the Ontario Health Care system with visiting nurses, even housekeepers and received every help we could possibly need, at no cost to us. I will always be grateful for the love and support we received from Canadian friends, employers and the medical professionals. What a country! I am in Europe now but feel strongly that Canada, the EU, Britain, the wonderful Ukrainians (I know quite a few refugees) and other countries of good will should work together for a better world. We are a family and families support each other in difficult times. Americans welcome when they are ready.

Both my sons were born in Canada! I lived in Windsor and Tecumseh, Ontario for 6 years. I love the Canadian people and my in laws even though divorced from their brother (who is deceased now). I wish I could move back! I am ashamed to live here right now!

Born and raised living in Ontario Canada and I applaud Trump Canada has had a 35 to 40% tariff on American goods. Only difference is we call a duty tax? It’s about time America stuck it back to us.

From Canada: Sorry but we did this to ourselves by not growing our economy as we could have done, by not expanding energy and trade, by being led by a non-leader who panders only to the east and disrespects the west, who spends money like it’s on fire. Trudeau could learn so much from Sen Robert Kennedy about spending money that isn’t his to spend… If eastern Canada would respect the wealth we have in the country, in the ground, we would not be in this position. Canada could be one of the wealthiest countries in the world and Canadians could have a very high standard of living. Instead we are stagnant and woke, dying from terrible drug policies and woke law, and bursting with a terrible “look at me, look at how good I am” immigration policy. We have no investment or tourism in BC, no foreign buyers, almost no airbnb, no fruit, soon to be no wine, but at least we have free drugs and 2000 genders, right Provincial NPD? That will help the bank account. And we have no respect for Alberta’s riches that benefit EVERYONE. All the power is centralized in Quebec, with the Bloc not even a federal GD party but somehow allowed to be a federal party, and Ontario and Atlantic Canada just loving a false sense of moral and intellectual superiority, and don’t forget transfer payments. And we have got ourselves into this Liberal government purgatory (thank God the Federal NPD have been decimated over it…at least there is some justice), so that we write cheques to make us feel good and look good despite that we can’t afford it. And we prevent growth and trade to make ourselves feel good and look good even though we can’t afford it. And here we are now, broke a** with no prospects and no savings. We know why HE is doing this. He is pushing an imperialistic agenda, so he can be like those he admires. He's hoping that Canada will bend at the knee and give in so that he can claim Canada as a 51st state. But guess what? That won't happen. He's just doing himself and his country harm. He doesn't care about you, or me, or us as two countries that have always worked together. But we are setting up border security to keep American drugs, and weapons, and illegal migrants from coming into Canada. We're going to have to survive by reverting our trade to elsewhere, to depend on ourselves, to boycott U.S. products. We may be nice, but we are also tough. We love our society, our democracy, and our benefits. We won't give that up. Growing up, I lived in South Western Ontario, I used to go back and forth from Canada to the U.S. with no issues. Now, I'm sad to say, I won't ever be going to the U.S. again. Let's all hope for a brighter future for both countries.

As an American, I must say we have boot-licking morons running our Government. I can't believe EVERY Republican agrees with anything that Trump says. It's like we're living in a Twilight Zone episode. I feel so bad for Pr. Zelenskyy and Ukrainians. I'm embarrassed to be American and I can't believe so many Americans were voting for this clown. These Canadian Provinces being Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and Saskatchewan.\n\nSuggested is to make Canada’s existing 10 Provinces into 10 individual United States States. Canada will benefit with a strong 10 State influence within 60 United States governance affairs. Benefits are 10 more States on a balanced display welcomed as 10 white stars within the beautiful United States of America field of Blue of our Flag. Other countries will see North America’s Great Power when 60 glorious States, when combined, and working well together, communicating best when communicating with each other only in English, when English is the United States official National Language. No more Government waste of having multi language signage. Another geologically considered North American country, Greenland, with 4 more territories may wish to add four more States, as well as the many existing United States Territories across the globe may desire Statehood. The Sun will never set on the United States. As for 10 Canadian States, think of the  benefit of 20 mostly conservative thinking U.S. Senators which equals a larger majority of conservative votes in the larger U.S. Senate when composed of 120 Senatorial political leaders. 120 U.S. Senators keep the Filibuster procedure balanced. 10 Canadian Provinces converted into 10 United States States equals many more conservative House of Representatives votes enhancing the conservative majority of political leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives. So many good reasons why Canada’s 10 Provinces, with a mostly conservative thinking population of thinkers, should be transformed into 10 new United States States, not just one United States. Yes....10 more States that is the helpful way forward for the United States to have a very dominant conservative thinking population of United States Congress Political Leaders, resulting in a long term more stable United States Congress representing 60 United States, thinking more conservative, thinking more logical, thinking more common sense thoughts, thinking more capitalist job creation thoughts, thinking more tax cut thoughts, are just some of the benefits of having 60 United States of America States on  display, and functioning efficiently going forward for all the World’s Countries to marvel at.

As an Australian who was born, raised, and has returned to VicDanistan... It's been a humiliating few years.\n\nBut when that same man's story has the added context of the fact that I happen to be here as a result of the path my (late) father took, coming here from Thunder Bay Ontario... Hour dump is already full and they have to drive 40 minutes to bring them somewhere else. Everywhere you look they is one of them. We literally have 5 million Indians in Ontario alone looking to get into the USA to live and work. They came here to get PR so they dont have to wait 20 years in india to get a work visa. With Canadian PR can get into the states in under 5 years. You guys are in deep trouble, not a single leader in Canada LIBS, CONS, NDP want to decrease immigration from India. There is very little to no checks to whos coming it. Trump and Musk not helping the situation with keeping the visa programs going. Should have Americans working American jobs, no one else.

I lived in Montana for five years moving from Ontario Canada. I returned after five years because your legal system is a joke. Healthcare is so expensive living in Canada’s way. Better get free healthcare which to me is the number one top thing.Canada has free health care everyone in need can get welfare low income housing the disabled have disabled people a paycheque each month that covers their bills and food costs. I came back when I had my daughter her dad‘s in Montana. I am in Canada now. I lived there for five years and the people are very judgmental. I find and drugs are so much more accessible in the US. I found the racism just blunt in the US Like people don’t even try to hide it jobs in Montana at that time I was making three dollars an hour minimum wage when we were getting paid $10 an hour in Canada at that time so minimum wage is way higher

As a black man living in Alberta you can stop with the ignorance right there. When it comes to racism I would much rather live in Edmonton or Calgary than literally anywhere in Ontario or Quebec. If this was in either of those provinces there would be way more than three people on site.

They are extremely nepotistic and will only hire other indians and family, it’s next to impossible for young native born Canadians to get even basic level entry jobs if the person hiring is indian. \nindians have abused the goodwill of our citizens and our social assistance programs. For the first time in nearly a hundred years our local food banks had to shutter and turn people away because INDIANS were using it as a free grocery store when they had FULL TIME JOBS and brand new bmws, then they post videos on social media saying ‘how to get free food in canada’, while some poor emaciated bastard gets turned away. What makes it worse, a lot of these Indians, especially in the prairies, already have their groceries subsidized by federal government, and they STILL abuse the food bank. It’s not just food bank either, they all apply for welfare and immediately get assistance even though it takes months to get as a natural born citizen, and that’s even if you get it. I was shocked to find out the federal government was paying indians to move out of Ontario and BC into Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba because the coastal cities infrastructure was about to implode in certain areas. So they they told these people to move inland, and if they do and stay there for 18-24 months, they get $3300 dollars a month every month for that duration. My disability cheque, that I paid into for 40 years of hard work, comes out to 950 dollars a month. This is absurd. These people get literally everything handed to them, and STILL abuse the programs meant for those who are struggling. I have never in my life met such an arrogant and utterly dishonest and disgusting group of peoples in my life. This isn’t just one or two bad apples, this is happening in every city around here. They also get first dibs on any and all medical treatment and specialists. Many local residents who have already been on waiting lists for years to get treatment are getting bumped in order to accommodate the new invaders. It’s basically impossible to find a doctors or dentists office accepting new patients. ER rooms are full constantly of these people coming just for runny noses and coughs, clogging up the already strained healthcare system. The prairies hospitals (at least where I live) were barely holding together before this nonsense. Yet somehow, this is all just white people being racist huh? \nWell I’ll tell you what, I’m not white, my people were on this land long before anyone else can claim to be, and while I’ll admit there’s often still a lot of animosity between natives and whites, youd be quite surprised to see how many of us are in agreement towards the current behaviour of these people.

There's no economy growth here for the millions of ppl the govt are pure in the country c.a not even have a trillion dollar company in the country, America has give trillion dollar company, that's why America so powerful and can do what they want, I'm saying what or these millions of ppl going to lived on live in the country food prices or through the roof right now it causing one person at least $300 a month so my question is where they going to livd under bridge the govt not building apartments building for the average ppl to lived so what going to happen to the average workers in Ontario, a one bedroom apartment is for $2500 plus light no average ppl can afford it. What even make it worse the govt give apartments owners the right to rase rent $60 a month when no employer paying the average workers $120 a month in Ontario that's why ppl or run out the the apartments building because its impossible for dem to keep up to that kind of rent.

I moved from Ontario to florida at age 15 in 1979, when i came back for a few months to rv all over Ontario last year, i could not beleive how things had changed. Oakville my hometown, is a place I would not be able to live, the home i grew up in, recently sold for 12M dollars, thats crazy. Yeah I'm Canadian with a lot of health issues yeah you don't have to pay but sometimes the wait can be long like 21 hours at the emergency + the time to see the er doc and if you need tests that would make it longer. Just recently my waiting time was 16 hours. I live in Ontario and we get a lot of Quebec people because their waiting time can be way much longer.

I live in Brampton they took over Brampton and Mississauga we actually have signs up saying Mississauga and Brandon are the dirtiest places in Ontario put your garbage in garbages instead of parks there's fireworks everywhere every night and yeah I'm prejudiced a s***and they made me this way

I have 3 boys here in Brampton Ontario. It’s near impossible to get a job around here if you are not Indian. I been living in the same house for 30 plus years and I’m the only owner left. All other houses on my street are rentals to Indian students or their family’s. You can’t even park you can on the street anymore. You fu&ked us Trudeau.

I was born and raised in brampton. I am now 41 years old. When i was 20 i remember when the indians started to come into brampton they were taking our jobs because they would work for minium wage without benefits. Then they stated to buy the houses and bring in their families they had like 10 to 20 people living in one house, so only needing to work for minium wage they were able to purchase the houses faster. Then the stores started opening up and theis is when i left. Brampton was the best place in ontario to live (close to everything, small enough to feel like a town but yet big enough that it had everything available) \nNow its a shit hole

We were military so lived right across Canada, and I can tell you the worst province in Canada is Saskatchewan. I don't have enough thumbs to turn down. The people are Very unfriendly. Think there better than everyone else, and if you need compassion from the police you won't find it there. I was with a group of military wives once and we all had to say the best and worst posting we ever had. Everyone said Saskatchewan was the worst. Nova Scotia and B. C the best. . The rest of the country is great. The Maritime provinces are the friendliest. Retired widow now and live in a small town Ontario. It's very nice here.

Construction has slowed down here , no one can afford anything , I live in Guelph Ontario on the main floor of a house with three bedrooms , and paying $1800 , I'm one of the lucky ones because my good friend bought this house in 2012 and I moved in , I was paying $1300 up until he sold it three years ago in 2021 and the new owners jacked the price to $1600 for fair market value , we didn't think he could raise it that much but he was able to because of new ownership, as of now 2024 , almost $1800 still not bad for this area , the trick nowadays is to stay put anywhere you are

After having moved from my birth province of Ontario to Québec (2years), I moved back in Ontario because Eastern Ontario ( Ottawa) is the best place and more affordable to live. You pay alot more taxe in Québec.

Rents and forget about buying a house in BC, AB, Quebec, Ontario. High unemployment, Inflation is high and going up more. We also do not have a military defense system and the U.S. is tired of Canada not spending money to meet their responsibility as a Nato country. Many Canadians are leaving the country permanent. Investors and businesses are pulling out. Canada is trillions in debt but keep printing more money (toilet paper). Canada has gone downhill significantly over the past ten years. Born Canadians and legit immigrants having to go through a rigorous immigration process are very unhappy and cause conflict. Besides all the different ethnicities cause unrest and are ungrateful, daring the burn the Canadian flag, uttering death to Canada, death the US and Israel. These trouble makers have not intentions to assimilate into Canada's culture and are disrespectful to the Canadian government and it's citizens. Our youth are very unhappy and do not see a future for themselves yet have to work very hard and pay unbelievable high taxes. The minimum wages are only 15 bucks an hour which cannot sustain life here in this country. Please stop making false promises to foreigners to come here and be disappointed. This is not a country of milk and honey any longer but poor and enormous homelessness. Hunger, terrible health care, incredible post secondary tuitions and books. Now that president Trump has won the election he is going to place tariffs on Canadian goods and rightfully so. Russia is very interested in the Antarctica and should they or anyone invade Canada we got 3 days of ammunition. The food in AB is very bad for your health. Everything has pesticides, hormones, and by the time fruit and vegies arrive here from the US all the nutrition have gone. A extremely high cancer rate, young and old, diabetes, depression and other mental disorders are rampant. Our children and grandchildren do not have a future so why bother going to school or work. Our kids live on the streets, shelters, camping in the woods and using fentanyl and meth all kinds of dangerous drugs. The cities and small towns are full of used needles, pipes, and more paraphelia just thrown on the trails everywhere. The US will not assist Canada when a possible War 3 will occur, and we the people of Canada and the land are easy prey. If you do not believe me, just come visit RED Deer shelters and walk around on the trails, go to Vancouver but becareful because random assaults are happening every day, people living in tents, using the streets as toilets, drugs galore, even the police is unable to act nor arrest criminal activities caused by desperate people who need to survive. Canada's economy is about to collapse and fall into a recession. We have too many people coming in our country without checking their back ground and many criminals and terrorist groups are entering declaring refugee status whether it is true or not, we do not know. The people of Canada who work and pay highest taxes are used to house these newcomers and education, jobs, food and money. Our government take better care of these illegal people than their own people especially our youth. So please let us not pretend Canada is a land of opportunity and great. We have to vote for the right leader who will have a very difficult time and challenges to overcome if at all possible and make Canada Great Again!

I moved to Canada upon retirement at age 60. Best decision! I’ve had good experiences with the Ontario and Nova Scotia healthcare. As I didn’t have emergencies, I didn’t wait more than a month for specialists. Canadians don’t like travelling to get appointments sooner which is common in the US. \nMany here think emergency room wait times in the States is much shorter, but I’ve accompanied friends in New York State for treatment only to wait over eight hours. \nHere in Niagara Falls, Canada my ex had a kidney stone causing great pain. The wait time to get morphine and treatment was about 45 min. \nI got a colonoscopy in four days here. In the US I waited three months. \nNo cost or copayments, and there are no in-network requirements that I know of. \nI would not live in the US again. Visiting is just fine!

I immigrated to Canada in 1981 because I married a Canadian I should say French Canadian girl and it was just a better place for her to continue on with her background. We relocated to Ottawa which is bilingual and made it very easy for both of us to assimilate together. I moved back to the USA in 2006 to help my sick brother and move back again to Canada in 2016. I came back for many reasons. The political Edge in the united states, the guns out of control, the increased crime rate daily, in just too many people everywhere. Now I was living in the Tampa Bay area and a lot of the people come from out of state and out of country especially in the winter to spend their cold months in the sunshine. Some things I miss in the United States comes usually down to the cost of living. Unless you get sick. And I miss living by the Gulf of Mexico. Except during hurricane season. I prefer living in Canada only because it's a slower easier paced social environment. It has nowhere near the political stress that the United States has where it can almost be violent. Actually, where it has been violent. Revisit January 6th. Out of control guns with hot-headed men mostly can force you out as well and back to Canada. Canada's social structure and environment supersedes the United States tenfold. And of course as we get older, Healthcare is a priority. I'm thankful there's a place like Canada close to where I was born or I can spend the rest of my life enjoying it as opposed to looking over my shoulder constantly. I also find that Canadians have a huge appreciation of warm months. So many people are outside even when they are eating at restaurants. Because of the warmer months are so short, Canadians really take advantage of enjoying it and those months are never taken for granted. Winters in Ontario, like here in Ottawa, can be very cold once January and February come around. But once you make it into the middle of march, you can almost smell spring in the air and somewhere on the way. But there are those dreaded 8 weeks of oh my God ?

I appreciate the effort these two women are making to educate Canadians about their own country, but! I can see that their focus is strictly the Gen Z crowd, who really need educating, but not by a couple of foreigners who are just trying to make a living. Good for them. I admire your tenacity. But, ladies there are 10 provinces and 3 territories in Canada. Here's something you may not know...Canada is the second largest nation in land mass only after Russia...FYI!\nNow if you had lived in Canada for over 70 years; as some of us have; you would come to have realized that there is NO central Canadian culture. There are 13 different cultures and societies associated through a federation with a central government in Ottawa. Every province is unique in its politics, social programs, even cultural events. Not every province and territory celebrates the same holidays, memorials or statutory holidays.\nPeople in Newfoundland are as different from the rest of Canada as the Scots and Irish are in their homelands. Alberta has cowboys, BC has sailors, Saskatchewan has wheat and Manitoba has the Guess Who and mosquitos. Ontario is just arrogant, Quebec is just Quebec. There is NOTHING Canadian about Quebec. If they had it their way they would have been independent since the 1750s. They don't even like to speak English. They do it out of obligation to the federation. \nThe Maritimes are again, unique unto themselves. They could easily be an independent nation and then their true culture would shine. Why they practically speak a different language. They have been here longer than any of us and are in fact the most unique culture in all of Canada with the exception of one very important factor:\nThe First Nations of Canada. Their culture is as different from 'European' as Indian is from Chinese or Russian and Korean. \nAnd they have been here for thousands of years. Are. you addressing them as well in your broad stroke analysis of my great country?\nYou need to get to know this country from those who have been here long enough to educate YOU.\nWith all due respect I think you over reached your grasp of the situation. You can't learn about a nation just by travelling around and talking to people. You have to live here...for a long time. Good luck and effort though.

Never posted in English (with no input from Canadians including Canadian colleges/universities). \n⦁\tNo more IELTS spouses in Canada. Anchor babies. \n⦁\tNo more Canadian housing being scooped up en-mass as investment vehicles by, and for, foreign nationals. With 'slumlords' charging way too much for rent. \n⦁\tNo more foreign protestors on Canadian streets demanding permanent residency, when they don't qualify for PR (which was never guaranteed). \n⦁\tNo more foreigners asking for Canadian asylum THAT THEY DON'T QUALIFY FOR. \n⦁\tNo more visas being used to illegally cross into the USA from Canada. \n⦁\tNo more social hierarchies popping up at Canadian workplaces that divides people into groups based on their ancestry, perceived purity or worthiness, and birth. \n⦁\tNo more tech support scams, phishing, and identity theft scams linked to foreign countries. \n⦁\tNo more major auto theft cartels shipping stolen car parts to lower Asia and northern Africa. And no more foreigners speed racing on Canadian streets causing injury and sometimes death. \n⦁\tNo more Canadian charity services being recklessly advertised on social media by foreign nationals (and not in English or French). \n⦁\tNo more dealing with those who won't blend to a country’s way of living, including rules and conduct norms. Unfortunately now, Canadians are dealing with far too many people from a very low-trust society. \n \nSupport the country you live in … or live in the country you support.

Having lived in Alberta for years and being raised in Ontario and then there is no way either should be higher than about 6 and I would put Alberta at 7. BC I would put first. In Alberta you have that nutso conservative premier and party. Ditto in Ontario. Alberta is a one industry province and when oil tanks which it does every few years the province is a wasteland. And in the winter it gets down to -50 at times. Ontario just sucks.

Try and be a good person.....period.\nCanada is a huge country with many variables in taxes, climate and culture. In southern Ontario I shovel the driveway about 4 times a winter. Winter is mild now compared to the 60's. \nI try and aviod processed foods that are taxed as opposed to most groceries that are not taxed. \nHealth Care has gone downhill in the last 25 years. \nBut, no one goes broke paying hospital bills. Fortunately health care where I live is very good. No wate times or problems. But, it would be great if nurses and doctors came to Canada!!!

I lived in New Hampshire in the Mountains and in Vermont for 8 months for Medical reasons. When I got back to Ottawa Ontario Canada they sent me a Health Care bill that was quite high but my Social Assistance Worker paid Thousands of dollars for my use of your Medical Services otherwise I would have had to pay 30,000 dollars that I couldn't afford. Your cigarettes were cheap as I smoked Marlboro smokes which reminded me of cigars ? in the form of cigarettes.

Canada is the super wild West of the rich. Only the truly rich people can live and survive in Ontario and BC. Sad truth is most immigrants come to Canada to get the citizenship because they cant go anywehere else, esp the US ???

I was born in Quebec, moved to BC and then too Ontario. You should ask why so many of us left Quebec (the last place I would want to live ) why I left BC (most woke province ) and settled in Ontario. I love Atlantic Canada but only as a place to visit. I would move to Alberta for it's politics but not it's weather.

I'm 43 years old in Ontario as well.I'm having a hard time making ends meet.Just lost my second job.Second, job being taken over, mostly by new emigrants and students, and education is no longer required in most sectors of work. I came out of insurance, to be precise. I'm practically living up my credit cards at this time. So sad.

I left lovely Toronto, Ontario, Canada in May 2021, after covid life no life over there. It's beautiful and I miss Canada, the nature. But the cost of living is higher with not much work opportunities in various sectors.

The current government increased immigration to have them beholding to them and so they get votes. At the same time they are leaving people that were born here, homeless and living in tent while the immigrants are taking up the shelter spaces and the Canadian tax payers footing the bill for them to live in motels and Ontario housings. I can tell you that if the homeless people in our community were voting, this would never of happened and they would not be living in our parks, in tents. As for me, I would give my address for them to have an address to vote from. All homed Canadians should be doing this to help these people have a voice in the country that they were born in. VOTING IN POWER FOR THESE PEOPLE! Make no doubt the the large portion of our homeless community have mental health issues and our society (GOVERNMENT) is not helping them. We are loosing generations of our Canadians. The Mental Health Act trumps The Rights of Freedom. Under The Mental Health Act if a person is a danger to their self or others, they are to be formed and get the help they need....SHAME ON THE GOVERNMENT
