I am a born and raised Canadian and have seen my country go downhill for at least the last couple of decades.\nHealth Care: doctors and nurses are moving Stateside in droves. No, the US doesn’t have universal health care but there are insurance plans and the care is enormously better. My girlfriend had 4th stage throat cancer. In Calgary the doctors at some point told her there was nothing more they could do for her and to get her affairs in order. Her father sent her to the Anderson Clinic in Houston - yes it was expensive but they treated her, saved her life and that was 24 years ago. \nIt’s common in our emergency rooms to wait up to 12 hours to be seen. \nOur system isn’t progressive and doctors and nurses don’t get paid near as well as in the States. That being said, I am happy that I don’t have to pay to see the doctor or have a stay in the hospital. \nCost of Living: Once upon a time it was good - housing was cheap and many companies had the full range of benefits and salaries were equal to the cost of living. Now these same companies have stripped the benefits by hiring people under contract so they don’t have to give them benefits. \nRents are through the roof and in Calgary there are no rent caps. Buying a decent house in a decent neighbourhood is impossible unless you inherit or make a six figure income. This, in no small part, has created a homelessness crisis that never had been seen in such numbers before. Crime also is getting worse by the day. Canada was once known as a safe country. This is no longer the case.\nEverything is very expensive and the tax very high. Plus, we have to suffer winter! Where I live, the joke is that we have two seasons - July and winter!\nI still like my city (not love) but I am retired and own two houses - one inherited and the other bought when it was affordable (32 years ago). Calgary would not be a place I would live if I was a newcomer. Vancouver is beautiful but you really pay for it. \nTrudeau has helped make a big mess of things with immigration and lax criminal laws. My beef is not with immigrants I must state - it is with the lack of jobs for them when they come, thereby forcing bad living conditions and an over reliance on the social systems. I add that the immigration population is much more willing to work in jobs they have to take (despite a high education) than our natural and bloated citizens.\nSo yes, Canada has increasingly gone downhill. On a positive note, hand guns at least are not legal and our country has beautiful natural land.

As a 52 year old born and raised in Canada, I absolutely despise this country and can't wait to move back to USA once and for all! This is no longer Canada and by 2300 China and India will have carved out a 'New' Canada. It all started after Expo 86....the flood gates of immigration were broken wide open and now the country is on the verge of social and economic collapse. Hard to believe this is the highest-paid Government in the world as it is by far the worst run country in the G20

I'll tell you about prices in Canada. (please fact check me fellow Canadians, I wrote this in a rage. Also, most of this is from Ontario cause I live there) The monopolies here are insane. Highways that were built using tax payer money were sold to companies and now Canadians need to pay to us it. Most grocery stores are owned by a few major companies and I see butter prices rising every few months. A 1L carton of cream at my local store is $8! I won't talk too much about housing cause it's obviously sh**. I will say a couple of years ago the Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford (my greatest enemy), was releasing the protection of the green belt, a protect part of Ontario used for agriculture. He said he would use it to build new homes, great right? NOPE. First of all, the green belt is used for food to reduce prices for Canadians cause its local. He has stated he would move it to another location but that land there is less fertile. The worst thing is, the reason he is saying he would use the green belt to build houses is because the land there is very valuable. And guess who owns that land? His BUDDIES! That means he would sell that land to developers and his buddies would get all the profit cause the money developers use to buy the land will directly be put on the buyer. Not to mention, Doug Ford, the same person, since his instatement as premier, has cut the Ontario education budget by 50%. 50%!!!! ABSOLUTELY UNREAL. Can't even afford air conditioning in schools where the weather is so extreme. Rogers? The largest internet provider in Canada? Absolutely cr*p. So many complaints about bad connection and cutoffs which I also experienced when my mom bought one of their products and my internet was sh** for a couple of months. The ONLY, and I mean only, good major thing Trudeau has done is legalize marijuana. Another thing I forgot to mention is that our government is made up of criminals. Doug Ford, he and his family use to partake in drug dealing. Another major complaint is the ttc which is public transportation costing so damn much! As a student, it costs me over $1000 a year to get to school using the ttc. The times aren't even that great either as even on a major road, I had to wait 25 minutes to get a bus. Thats my rant.

Before moving to Canada I hired an English profesor for private classes. On the last class he gave two pieces of advice for when I arrive:\n\n1- Get on the line\n2- Act like the monkeys\n\nThe first means to wait for your opportunity not rushing to conclusions on why you are not getting what you believe you deserve. \n\nThe second, instead of trying to do things your way, look at what others do and imitate them. \n\nIf you are not willing to do these, you better stay home.

I hope indians will reflect of what they're doing, like indian students, i see some of them don't pay on the bus, i had experienced when we were waiting in line in bus station, i see them cutting line, they were lucky because Canadians are polite, and just let it go, one time an indian male driver parks his car on where the bus pass through in bus station, in tim Hortons most of the time they give us the wrong order, and i always had a stomach Ache when i eat at tims, but i never had problems when i order from other coffee shops, only at tims, and in our neighborhood they throw their garbage on the side of train rails, and it was clean before the indian immigrants move in in our neighborhood? Canada is Ruined? but i know there are good indians out there who follow the rules, i hope their bad habits will stop its ruining the indian community

I have lived in Germany 9 years. I applied for my citizenship 4 years ago. I am still waiting. My advice to anyone looking for to move t o Europe, don't come to Germany. The culture and climate are cold. Germans are only happy after a few beers.

he mentioned top notch free health care system, is biggest lie in the video. you pay hefty insurance fee every months so its not free plus medical waiting period is unbearable. finding a a family doctors itself is a big task. getting appoint is another headache. DE is very slow moving society. There is always waiting for everything. Just to convert my driving license here i have to pay hefty amount and driving schools have available time after 3-4 months. In us one can get DL for 200-300 usd and here you need 2000-3000 usd. rise in crime also racism is another reason to leave DE

Why not stop paying fake refugees to move to Canada? Why hotel rooms for migrants when Canadians live in tents. Why free medicare for fake refugees when Canadians who paid into medicare for decades cannot find a doctor and ER visits can take ten to fifteen hours in the waiting room? Yes, it is to Russia, because it is here that traditional values are enshrined in the constitution. now Putin has introduced a law where you can get a temporary residence permit for a year or more without knowing Russian. it is enough to be from Western countries, and if you believe in God as much as we do, come to Russia, we are waiting for you, and we will be glad to all people from Western countries.

You don't need to earn 190k plus to afford housing loan, I am not promoting drugs but everyperson who takes drug here is not what you showed in the video, there are specific areas, Yes there is long waiting time for healthcare, which is a concern and I am sure the local government is trying to fight it back, but how about our villages and the majority population with no medical facility even today, not trying to make an argument here. I have been here for around three years now, I am not saying it is the best place in the world nor suggesting anything. I was just expecting properly studied and not partial content from you. Many people now just wait until they get their passport or PR and then immediately leave the country. In my personal circle even I have so many friends from university and work who as soon as they got their citizenship or PR they used it as a way to move to a different country.

As a FRENCH individual, I would\nSay this!!! WHY would you or even plan to come to a country that rejects you??? Why waste your money to come here???? Why immigrate here??? Lately, I have my older brother move back to France and my 2 daughters NOT willing to stay in Canada (they hate the Canadian education system here)! My wife wants to fly back to France and so am I and we will as soon as we can!!!! As for me … I HATE the Canadian healthcare system (rigid and INEFFICIENT) with all its stupid waiting times and lack of humanity and transparency!!! In France NO ONE has to wait 6 years (I heard this many times from friends) for an operation or 15 weeks to see pediatrician!!! I do not like the taxes, nor the hidden racism that is WAY WORSE than AMERICA (I have a coloured friend who knows well and who snobbed racist Canadians by speaking French to them. This friend of mine is in fact… a French citizen himself). I hate the Canadian transportation system, the banking system which is designed to STEAL from people!!! In Europe, there is NI Credit score and NO easy loans and you do not get indebted as in this rubbish country of GREEDY THIEVES (the Canadian bid corps) called Canada!!! Education in Europe is FREE!!!! Why should I allow my kids to study here and pay for veut studies??? WHY???? Le Canada est un pays de profiteurs!!!

Loved this video. So real!! I think it's so important to always be moving forward in life. If Canada is that next step for you that's great, but if you've been here for a few generations and it's no longer serving you in the ways you need there is nothing wrong with searching for something more. I think for so long people have looked at Canada as this utopia and/or ultimate finish line destination but once you're here it's quite a shock at how difficult life really is here because of how expensive it is. There was an incident were a cricket match was going to be shown in the mega plex put they did not show it something happened that was not mega plexes fault that it was not being shown there was a group of Indian students who started screaming at the ticket counter. It’s because of behaviour like this Canadians are hating international students from India .?. The 2022 -2023 batch on international students are a disgrace not saying g all of them are bad just most dont come to study just a back door into the country they see one of there family members went to Canada and they should to ?‍♀️. There was a polling conducted and most Canadians want less immigration from India . Canada is not as big like America . Having so ma y people come in just puts a strain on housing, who would think that people from a hot country would want to go to a cold country…. Just go to a wormer country . I miss Canada but I would neither move back there. Living in Switzerland offers great service and healthcare. It is a shame when I read some comments that some have to wait more than a year to see a specialist ! What a shame for such a world nation

I had been living in Germany for a very long time, before I moved to the Netherlands several years ago. If we compare DE to NL, than I would indicate the following main advantages of each country:\n\n?? 1) low prices for food and relatively low rental prices for apartments (the prices in NL are at least two times higher) 2) the enterprises are more willing to invest in their employees (in NL you must be already a very skilled/talented worker) 3) if we speak about the German health care system, then you can directly approach a specialist without visiting your GP, even though you must wait an eternity for your Termin (in NL is your huisarts always a key decision maker). 4) The Germans are more friendly towards foreigners (probably because they made a lot of experience with them, due to the mass immigration)\n\n??1) much lower taxes and premiums 3K net salary = 4,2K list salary = 5,2 K premiums (in DE the same 3K net=5K list=8K premiums, of course approximately). 2) much much less courts/lawsuits/warnings about every crumb (have you ever heard about the German Abmahnindustrie???) 3) the young people in NL are the priority (even if we compare the Corona pandemic time, the whole German society strongly prioritized the older ones) 4) much more order in the cities/villages and much less pre-conventional/spoiled immigrants/freeloaders (step out from the same train in Aachen and in Maastricht- you will instantly notice the difference!).\n\nHope to have informed you all sufficiently ??

stuttgart city ABH makes u wait 2yrs for Niederlassungserlaubnis....n takes more than 1yrs to transfer to another ABH if u move to another city nearby....i mean a snail can carry ur documents from stuttgart to ludwigsburg faster....

Re: career opportunities. I am a Canadian citizen. I worked as a land surveyor assistant from 2017 to 2019 in Alberta. I had very few career opportunities. My supervisor didn't bother to teach me the trade. I was just assigned to be a pack mule/hole digger. I had a geomatics diploma and intended to become a surveyor after working as an assistant for 1 year. I waited 3 years and didn't make any progress. I was so frustrated I moved to France. France has way more opportunities for me. The salaries are lower. But the cost of living is lower too, and the hours are around 35h/week (vs 80+ in Canada). Yeah, it's legal for tradesmen in Canada to work 24/4 day shifts with 12 hour days. This doesn't take into account the 1~2 hours of unpaid work every night to write field notes and charge the batteries/cleanup the equipment. It doesn't help that the salaries are hourly too. So in the slow months you better have money saved up, or you'll be begging for food.

I moved to Germany 5 years ago presently I have a skilled job offer from last 3 months just waiting for the Immigration Office to change my employer name from 2 months.This is Germany they want you but they don’t help you ! I have a job offer but I am unemployed because of the bureaucracy! No one helps and very slow paced work culture specifically in the government sector plus if you’re a people of colour you are treated like you don’t belong here !

One year ago i moved to germany from Italy as a doctor and i already wanna leave. Because the taxes are very high half of my salary goes to the state and the service quality is relatively bad for everything i need an appointment and wait for weeks to get it done.more problematic is the discrimination. Even tho my qualifications are higher than an average german doctor i dont get treated equally i dont get what my colleges get. So overall its a disappointment for me and i m looking for my next country ?any suggestions?

She talks for 10 mins telling us how wonderful Canada is. She then admits that in spite of all these advantages she wants to leave Canada and live in another country. Having captured our attention for more than 10 mins, we become curious to know where she would like to move to ! Unfortunately she doesn't tell us - as this may compromise her efforts to obtain a visa for this earthly paradise. We will have to wait for a future video !

Let me guess it's either Thailand or Vietnam your planning to move to , I am waiting for my 20 years staying here in Canada and planning to move abroad as well so that I can still recieve my pension abroad if I was on my retirement.

I understand you dont want to wait to tell people where you are hoping to move to until its official, but i think you should have said where this ideal location is for you and your business in this video because it might have helped other people watching who are in a similar situation to you where they have a small buisness and are struggling in canada. It would be unfortunate for those people to have to wait months to kearn of the conclusions to your research when knowing now vould possibly save them from catastrophic consequences as the standard of living seems to be rapidly declining in canada.

Now memory came back to me when I was in Vancouver for 3 days and enjoyed my time over Canada in 2015 for a concert, Canada was the first country I've visited outside of the United States I'll never for get it the people where amazing very polite there was a moment in my life that I wanted to move to Canada now thinking over my decision after some years later I'm glad I didn't. I can't believe how bad it has gotten I'm now sure its gotten worse now. Respect your decision I glad to see your doing it, I would love to experience life for us... we only live once it'll be amazing for anyone do what you are doing, I have been thinking of going over doing content about traveling because it is about the journey and if for some reason If I like then.... go for it! If you can move to the US, do so. While there is tension down here, it is by far the freest nation. Look at Europe, they're going down the fascist route, same with Australia, NZ. And Canada unfortunately is entering that realm whereby your rights are going to be extinguished. Even with a change of government, when you are beholden to an inbred, foreign crown, it gets harder and harder. South America is no different. Don't kid yourselves, places like Costa Rica sound like an idyllic place but there is crime, poverty, nasty insects. Moscow on the other hand is not bad, it's like the 1980s in the US there, sure the infrastructure is sub par and they do have crime but aside from the proxy war going on, it's an option if you are of Russian decent. Your best bet is still the US, if you can wait the years, pay all the fees, jump through all the hoops, unless of course you are an illegal, non-white and a potential Democrat voter.

I've lived in Canada for 33 years and Canada is not the country it was 3 decades ago. Can't wait to retire and move to some country with good medicare and Government using common sense.

People cannot wait to move here from other countries. But it's not because we are getting better, it's because there countries are getting worse. It's hard for someone from Canada to see it get poorer, it's a really sad situation. I'm moving 6 months out of the year to another country, just to get away from it all.

From Poland. Arrived yo Canada at the end of 2020. I am nearing my 4th year here, in a small village. I arrived with my 6-year-old daughter to begin my writing career. Now, 40% of my daughter's childhood has been spent here and I I go to court soon to fight for my child to be returned home to me. After nearly one year- a year of financial hardship because I have to travel without a driver's license and without a group of friends to drive me- I have my very first hearing with a judge in Youth Court in a matter that has no foundation to begin with, follows no rule of law, and acts arbitrarily. My child whom I homeschooled to the praise of the provincial ministry of education and was following a classical liberal arts education path that had her outpacing students in the province was entrusted to the care of a Child Services company (that has a record of placements that have resulted in child murders). My child's life has been irrevocably upset to say the least. NO ONE LEAVING CANADA GIVES THIS STORY AS A RESON FOR QUITTING THIS COUNTRY. I guess no Canadians care about their children like I do my precious gift from God. True, O come from the former Soviet Union where Marshal Law (Emergency Measures Act) were commonplace. I lived through two in Canada in 4 years: one Federal, and one through Provincial Youth Court where I await my turn to see a judge after my daughter was removed from my care. People do not know they have no biological ownership of their children, because I guess few Canadians value their children to care about their own laws. But these laws also apply to immigrants too. What money was taken from me during the move and resettlement, the government takes by creating more expenses for me than I could ever imagine or budget for. Emotionally, I am a wreck. Rather than commencing my writing career, I have been seeking low-income lawyers, reading the provincial law on Youth Protection, filing complaints within a circular system (the watchdog is part of the system not outside of it) and preparing all evidence to prove I have done nothing wrong [just like in communist rule]. Have you ever given any thought to the difficulties in proving your innocence? \nNO ONESEEMS AWARE OF THIS DETERENT TO BRINGING CHILDREN TO CANADA. NO ONE. IT IS THE ONLY ONE I COULD NOT PLAN FOR. All other complaints like the economy, or the weather, or inflation I have survived. But taking away my child, my reason to settle in Canada for a life of freedom for her, my legacy, was unthinkable. People ask me in this small village where is my daughter. Their rosy cheeks become snow white when I tell them. Canadians here are unaware and scared like cattle in a thunder storm. Many are addicted to welfare payments, cannabis, prescription drugs, and television. They all seem to be waiting in a pen of fear. I am stuck here now, with little financial resource to fight for my child's life. It is unfortunate that no one will read my comment because it is an inscrutable wall of text or too frightening. Unless someone reads it, no help will come for my daughter. (Because she is a dual citizen, the local Polish Ambassador will not step in - another drawback for having a Canadian passport). Born and raised in Canada but left in 1999. I have only been back 3 times and although I retired in 2015, I have decided to not move back, maybe never. I am absolutely heart broken about it because I love the country I grew up in. Been traveling full time ( no home base ) since retirement and we keep looking for a place to call home. We are ending a 2+ year stay in South America and are now headed to Japan, just for the heck of it, change of scenery. We are not too keen on hot and humid but we still want to visit SEA. Justin Trudeau and the liberals have destroyed this Country. I was born and raised in Canada in a town in Ontario along one of the Great Lakes Lake Erie. My parents and even their parents were born and raised in that same area I am from and Canada was a great place but since Justin Trudeau become PM everything started to change and not in a slow unnoticeable way it was fast. Drugs and homelessness started to become a thing something I have never seen in my life and even my neighbourhood and town started to change too with people that don't speak english and wait times in the ER started to be so much longer and even finding a doctor when I moved to the city was impossible to get. I have not traveled much only in a car or truck and never been on a airplane but I am considering moving out of Canada too. I am going to wait and see what happens in the election and see if things begin to charge before I leave the only place I know and start new somewhere else. I have been thinking of Southeast Asia like Laos or Thailand because there Canadian funds are worth something and you can live and at for very cheap and get a very nice place for half or less of what rent is here.

Canada is no longer great. As a third generation Canadian, I was always so proud of my citizenship and thought I was lucky to have been born in the best country in the world. Well, I no longer feel that way. This country is turning into a third world shithole. I want to leave sooo bad but where would I go? I'm 59 but If I were younger I would leave. Can't wait to hear where you will move to.

I came to Calgary in 1983, and since then, I've seen Canada change for the better and worse. I moved back to my native country of Malaysia in 1997 and lived and worked there until 2012. I can honestly say that my native country is so much cheaper to live. I don't need to wait months to see a specialist and wait over an hour to see my family doctor despite already booking an appointment. Doctors just want to get you out of their office fast so they can see more patients. Got a second health concern, well, book another appointment. What a joke! In Malaysia, I can get full body check-ups, including x-ray, ECG, and blood work, including results the same day. What's the use of free health care if the service takes donkey months? I've decided to move back to Malaysia in about two year's time and enjoy the warm weather and cheaper cost of living. Canada is a GREAT country, but the elected government just screwed things up. Will miss the Calgary Stampede for sure.

I think all things are possible when you are young and healthy. As someone with an unexpected chronic disease that showed up in my 40s I'm on immunosuppressants that are very costly. Thank God the gov't here covers them. With treatments every 6 weeks I have no freedom to leave. While that's taken care of, access to a family doctor or emergency care is horrible. Waiting a month for a doctors appt or having to spend 10 hours in emergency is not okay in a developed country.\n As a citizen you have Canada as a safety net, so its no big deal if you move and don't like it. I'm not sure where is safe in the world right now. A lot of people moved to Equador, and then boom the violence got out of control. Just my thoughts on things.

I am a designer and artist who moved to Saxony to reunify with family. I can say, being here for 3 years, it is VERY difficult to find a job in your profession when you do not speak the language. I am not a blue card holder, but my partner is. Despite our financial situation not being a dire one, I still look forward to integrating well in the job market and contributing my expertise + passion in the local society. \n\nI spent around 1.5 year reaching B1 level German (+including the waiting time for german tests, orientation course test and test scores etc.) Even with this B1 knowledge, you cannot communicate in a professional setting, more is needed. I also spent another half year time contacting our local Agency for Work, and experienced discrimination from their consultation service, a long waiting time and no assistance at the end. \n\nIt has been quite a discouraging journey, especially for someone who has high motivation to work and contribute. My current options are looking for jobs in Berlin, English speaker environments like Burger King etc. In my personal case, it has largely affected my confidence and enthusiasm for living in this country.

Canada is getting the Globalisation treatment that all western nations have had in the last three decades. The more immigration into the country from non Western countries the more cultural and liveability friction they will have. Those from poorer countries are waiting in their millions to move to the West. Its that simple.

People complain about doctors leaving to the States for more money. But reality is, there is no job opening for new specialists finishing up fellowship. So they are pushed around diff hospital as part timer and they end up leaving. Family doctors are also pushed to become a hospitalists or to just become surgery assistant to avoid paperworks and fees that follow being family doctors. Our healthcare is becoming useless because our government is not grasping the reality.\n\nWe need more highways, a real metro system for to support its growing population with integrated infrastructure. If we need to construct more housing, make it possible for architects to build faster and make it easier to become an architect here too. What is wrong with our roads? Gardiner is being fixed and I hope not for 10years. \n\nThis government legalized drugs for taxation, but cannot control harder drugs invading our cities. Our parks are filled with needles...\n\nNow I am in the process of dual citizenship to move out while I retire. Because I dont want to be sick and wait for 10-20hours in the ER.

Back in 1998 I was laid off and waiting for U.I/E.I to kick in and send a cheque and was 2 months behind on rent, they had me in L/T Tribunal Court at St Clair/Yonge before my 1st cheque was mailed, I wasn't kicked out but had to agree to pay my full rent on the 1st from that point and $200 each month on the 15th til I caught up on arrears (took 1 year) if I had been late once on either date they could have re opened the L/T Tribunal case and kicked me out. If I couldn't have paid I would have moved out, that's the difference between those born before 1990 and after, morals and having a conscience, lacking in most Millennials and Z's because X mothers didn't want to discipline their 90s babies or make them responsible adults.

The problem with some of the immigration is that some forget the values and ethics! Something simple is like waiting in a que or driving on the road.\n\nThis idea of Canada dream is a false dream cannot start a family or buy a house.\n\nI’m saying that - Canada is land of opportunity, if inflation was a lot lower and salaries were not living hand to mouth. People’s quality of life would improve and people would be happier which would result in playing staying in Canada and helping the country grow.\n\nWhat is failing Canada is excuses blaming 1980 1990 is poor we in 2024 country has had 24 years to move forward. With Justin pushing for immigration so hard, housing should have been kept on par with it. This is a government fail. Sooner or later water and hydro will feel the pitch of the population and then Canada will fall from 1st world to 3rd world and people will be looking back not knowing how they got here so quickly.

Apartments in my building have doubled in price in the last 5 years... DOUBLED. We were full with a waiting list last year, but this year the whole wing I live on is empty, except for a few suites. Pretty obvious that either people cannot afford to move in OR there isn't a housing crisis as bad as they want us to believe anymore... which one is it though?
