I have been out of work for 5 years and still can't find a job because the imagrants our taking our jobs from the white populations. Every where you go like subway Tim Hortons Wallmart and many other stores our getting jobs over the white population. When is this madness going two stop? I am getting pissed off all the time. I would love two see Doug Ford stop stop stop this kind of discirmatation. Can you tell mw when a job agency is going two hire white people like myself? You guys should go back to you Country and be happy over their. I am getting tired when you go two a car wash owned buy Indians they always wont give me a job god dame it. The next Prime Minister needs tow wake up and stop this bull shit. If you live in the UK they would get fined for behaving like this for sure my friend. This country is going down the drain. For the good of Canada and the Canadian people the People’s Party of Canada, and its leader Maxime Bernier, need to swallow their pride, and withdraw from politics. Canadians, Brit’s and Aussies are finally getting tired of their country’s looking like Africa, China, India and Pakistan. Does that surprise anybody? They see Islam spreading, and their fears are justified. It just took too long, and is likely too late. But it was a predictable outcome.

It speaks more about the white people being lazy than immigration if the white people are the ones going homeless and using drugs. ? \nDo you see Indians being homeless in Brampton? TFW here, east Asian, a couple of things:\nI am paid the provincial minimum wage, and work in the dairy industry, medium sized farm.\nI started working straight out of high school\n\nFrom what I can see and hear from across the province and largely in the western Canadian provinces, older generation farmers are at the retirement age, but the younger generation is generally very reluctant to take over. \nNot all industries, but definitely in livestock, people sometimes don't realize that, there is literally no breaks, ever! You work every day, holidays, Christmas, and if you do chose to take a few days off, your co-workers, i.e. other family members or workers, have to take up the extra workload. You barely have time for your family, you are often tired around your kids. Farmers have some of the highest suicide rates among all occupations, as well as a difficulty to find partners due to the nature of their jobs.\nThe work is hard, days long, especially during harvests, and if the ever more expensive tractors, equipment fail...\nThere used to be a lot of family owned farms, over the last few decades most have sold their generational farm and left the industry, most because of the cost to operate and because the next generation's unwillingness to take over.\nYong people my age have not been seen applying for my position in a few years now, despite ongoing hiring effort at significantly higher than minimum wage, and I have repeatedly stated that I, although love my job, am ready to step aside at any point so a Canadian PR or citizen can take my position, as required by worker rules. There were a few inquiries from neighboring areas, mostly made by parents, but their children in the end all refused to work, even part time, or seasonal.\n\nOn the other hand, there is the issue of prices: equipment costs have largely more than doubled since the pandemic, grain prices rose... and all that on top of the constant uncertainty of the weather every planting and harvesting season. Most farms don't ever make a profit after the yearly operating cost is deducted from earnings, and the little profit that on occasion appear, goes right back into paying debt or reinvesting in renewing long overdue old equipment.\n\nMy position, and all those similar to mine in agriculture, are in all fairness, very low skilled, with minimum training, and therefore is only worth minimum wage, in my opinion. I was actually offered a higher amount but in the end turned it down because on the job, I discovered the only thing I bring to the table is manual labor (I know that's not really the right way to go about wages, but I do believe that wages should be based on the irreplaceableness of one's skills, and as it stands, although no replacements were ever found, I am very much easily replaceable, skill wise). That, compared to a slightly better paid Starbucks position, with benefits (most farm workers and owners don't have benefits or pension, yes owners too), air conditioning, regular work hours. I mean, if it wasn't for my particular interest for agriculture I'd pick Starbucks any day too!\n\nI think a couple issues are at hand, \n1. Most of agriculture's profit ends up in the corporate processing and supermarkets, that needs to change, workers could benefit, as well as consumers, from distributing that profit between farmers and shoppers.\n2. Agriculture in today's context no longer fit the modern life, although I strongly think that A LOT of people can benefit from getting their hands dirty once in a while and sweating a bit, improve physical and mental health, have better discipline all that jazz. So foreign workers are the temporary solution, if well regulated so that Canadian PR and citizens are ALWAYS prioritized for hire and at a fair wage. This cannot happen unless farmers can turn a profit, stated in point 1.\n3. A new generation of farmers are needed to take over, and they need to be somehow convinced that it is worth the toil, because as it stands, it is not, financially, life style wise. Automation is one solution, although therein lies the huge, foreseeable risk of corporate takeover.\n4. On a specific note, TFW does mandate that workers are provided up to standard housing (not always followed), which puts local workers at a huge disadvantage if they are commuting to work and paying rent, although that rarely happens, and the majority of farms do offer housing to all.\n\n\nI am aware that me being treated up to regulation is not the norm among my TFW peers, which is quite sad and unacceptable. But in my opinion, even if given a leveled playing field, wages , conditions, housing, etc. Canadian citizens and PRs largely will be unable to meet the demand for these jobs, from unwillingness to work really hard physically, unwillingness to live the lifestyle, wanting a career with better prospects... these are harsh words, but I believe to be true, and they also come from a lot of older generation farmers talking about their children and grandchildren. \n\nThis is just in the agri industry, and from what I hear from farmers from all over western Canada : )

The numbers of Indians coming here is ridiculous. I blame the Liberal Government, whose propping up a failing economic policy artificially by increasing population. But I also have to wonder, the Indians I know are slavishly trading info on their silly Zuckerberg app, do they not realize how expensive its become in Canada? I am a born Indo-Canadian, and I'm getting tired of seeing Indians everywhere, this is Canada, not India. It doesn't help they openly scream in Hindi and Punjabi in public and their work-spaces instead of trying to adopt and adapt to the culture.

I live in Scotland for last 5 years, moved here because I was tired of India. Its corruption, polarized politics, and also how people behave. I have been welcomed by the Scots here, treated with respect and made many Scottish friends and know families who are some of the kindest warm people you will meet. \nI also know lots of Indians who are well behaved and good residents of Scotland. But sometimes I see Indians who simply take advantage of the Scottish hospitality. These Indian abuse the honor system to the point that it has become less prevalent. I once seen some north Indian guy singing vulgar Bhojpuri songs to a white girl when on the sidewalk in a manner that can be called eve testing, that made my blood boil. I absolutely hate it and avoid some Indians unless I personally know them. Being and Indian I dont want to be associated with Indians abroad because these 1-2% Indians have given the rest of us a bad name.

I'm a Canadian and I moved to Asia 20 years ago. My motivations for leaving were the endless winters, the absolute necessity of having a car and two sets of tires, crazy insurance prices, and getting taxed on everything without seeing benefits. Now when I visit I am shocked at the price of everything from food to gas to hotels. In addition, I hear that housing has gone through the roof. Many can't afford to buy and face bidding wars to rent a place. With oil, timber, minerals and more, Canada should not be in this position. The government(s) have really messed things up and need to start reversing these trends now.

This journalist seems to forget that immigration is not a right but a privilege. As a Canadian - the immigration tom-foolery that is happening is just as bad up here. Our Prime Minister is a handsome idiot, he was a drama teacher before he became Prime Minister (I know, make that one make sense). He has no idea what he's doing, he's being used as a puppet for more experienced extortionists-erm-politicians. With the help of his party members and a coalition with another party, in less than ten years he has taken Canada from a great place to visit and live to basically what's happening in NY. Crime in our cities has gone up dramatically. Theft is on the rise. Homelessness and drug use is through the roof. Immigration is out of control. And our government also prioritizes immigrants and asylum seekers before born and raised Canadian citizens. As a Canadian who is tired of the nonsense that's been happening in the world this past decade, I wish our government would put on their big boy pants and do something about this uncontrolled immigration. Things are bad here too. Our government seems to keep changing policies and laws to further accomodate the insanity that is happening, I promise, not every Canadian wants these changes to happen. We are just as sick and tired of all this nonsense as our American cousins. I wouldn't be surprised if both countries at some point united in objective and worked together to fix this problem - but that's not gonna happen anytime soon as long as these dummies are in power. But believe me, the regular people of Canada see what you're going through because it's also happening in our own back yard. canadian here, born and raised in ontario, you literally cant go anywhere without seeing indian people celebrating their culture in our streets, they're literally taking up city centers, blasting music and dancing, the people being let in are very uncivilized, unhygienic and its to the point where the immigrants that came here to get away from those people are tired of it too. i cant find a job because an indian has taken it, i cant speak out on issues in public because its a possible hate crime, and i cant even choose a PM that will do anything abt it because both are supporting it, we're screwed.

I’m tired of seeing them in every business out there. Tim’s, almost all gas stations, banks,I understand they come for a better life but you have to have a limit on how any come in. The one thing I noticed is most don’t have a common understanding of the English language. I’ve seen customers get agitated because they have no idea what you’re talking about. I avoid Brampton at all cost. Majority of the car accidents and trailers being flipped over on highways are Indians. This has to stop.

This lack of access to health care is a new thing. I agree with your assessment. It now seems lonelier in Toronto. \n\nCanada used to be different because anyone with a good job could afford at least a condo, but life became unaffordable not just for immigrants, but for everyone unless you are in your 50s-60s and own a home. \n\nI have friends working double jobs supporting family back home in other countries, but for some of them the family back home sound like they are doing better than them and own a home. Not true for everyone, but for some yes and I worry about their own retirement because retirement in Canada without lots of savings means you might be homeless or forced to live with family even if it’s not your preference. \n\n without investments and savings, it will be hard to beat inflation. Getting into debt and getting bad credit can mean not getting an apartment. \n\nThe birth rate is going down because it is expensive to have kids and income isn’t enough to match with living costs. Getting help from government is really not something everyone gets access too. One person might get housing support, 10 others may get nothing. Different governments offer different things. Programs end and change often. \n\nIn Canada definitely bargain and shop around for good phone plans. one idea is to get a pay as you go until “Black Friday” then every year or two when your good offer expires there will be many others. It’s the time with the best deals saving almost half. For instance, I have 50 gigs for $25 for two years from a large provider. Telephone companies are the one place where people must bargain and even ask for better deals as a must.\n\nThe people you see living in big houses, will have kids that can’t afford the same. This is because prices keep rising. The system protects the very rich, but will also drain the middle class often within 1-2 generations. Do not link your business to your personal finance, or creditors can take your home. Some not knowing this lose everything and rich people know better. \n\nPeople live until they are very old, so inheritance is pretty much meaningless to rely on, so no matter what your parents have you must hustle in life. \n\nI do think Canada can become what we want over time. Citizens need to fight the trend of great community spaces, restaurants and bars going out of business and dumb corporations move in with bad boring restaurants. Like a McDonald’s where maybe a popular cultural hang out was. \n\nPart of the problem is a lack of mixed income housing areas, so it’s hard to stay living where you grew up. Artists and musicians help make a city great, but many cannot afford to live here.\n\nFamilies and communities staying together means more support for those with young kids and older relatives when they need help. Yet how is this possible in a city that is always pushing out lower income people when wealthier people desire the area. \n\nIn Toronto, every time you move you have to take what is available and that might mean moving an hour away from everyone you know. This weakens communities. Plus, if you live too far from your work you will have no time to socialize for most the week due to travel time. \n\nI think those who grew up in Toronto do have a certain culture of acceptance with others from many cultures, because your friends at school were from all over. But with new migrants sometimes it isn’t until the second generation that their social circles get diverse. This can be isolating and it’s even isolating as those from Toronto eventually leave dreaming of staying in one spot and not forced to move constantly when a landlord investor sells every house you move into. \n\n\nToronto really needs to protect affordability of housing for at least some housing in every section so that people can save money if they live in the city, and not have to leave their communities and be far from their friends and family. \n\notherwise eventually people get sick of the hustle and it’s too tiring to travel 1+ hrs each way to visit someone during Monday to Friday. \n\n20 years ago any professional could at least buy a condo. Not today. There is too much competition now and investors are allowed to buy up all the most affordable housing that once was a pathway to owning a home. \n\nRich policy makers got greedy and destroyed canada and hopefully diversity in leadership will help make Canada better. But they perhaps people knew to Canada can reject this lonely structure and help us rebuild Toronto into an amazing place. \n\nWe need to make sure everyone can afford housing with 30% of their income. Don’t come to Canada. Housing is expensive, food is expensive, taxes are high and rising. If you do come to Canada bring your own tent so you have a place to live after you get tired of the homeless shelter. Don’t worry there are plenty of tent cities all over the country but do your research because some of them are dangerous. Don’t get sick because it’s hard to find a doctor and the emergency rooms are backed up for many hours to see a doctor. Violent crime is on the rise as well. I’m doing ok but will leave Canada when I retire.

Reduce taxes and remove Justin and his allies ASAP who are openly threatening minority religious group and telling them to leave the country. instead of making it welfare state, encourage both parents working families - that also implies improving education and health quality. Tired of waiting for hours to see a glimpse of medical staff at other end. Have no idea where all the tax we are paying is going. Probably for Justin's ski vacations!! Look at the road and transit conditions in any of downtown. Also make RCMP accountable and give them some power to deal with increasing crimes. We live in usa since 28 yrs, We are ok as our whole family is in abroad, but We recently took a trip to Canada, in Brampton and we were shocked nothing to put down but we felt it’s India except fee things, as everywhere u see Indians, employees are Indians, jn my uncle’s street 99% were Indians, my cousin told me in his class all students are Indians even the teacher and there were some more things that I can’t explain in words, because during childhood when we took trip to same place we felt we came to Canada but not anymore, I think Canadians are tired of Indians they mostlyhave diff ares where most Canadians live and areas where Indian community and we felt lucky we are only traveling here, so it’s better to live in India instead…

He was in pain and the nurses would not give him any pain medication in the emergency waiting area, wait for the doctor. He called me at work and I took pain killers to him in the emergency room. He was in the emergency room for 14 hours before he saw a doctor, had to sleep upright overnight.\nIf any American favor's our universal medical system as it is so called free (comes from taxes we pay) come try it and see if you like it. Pricing is not a Canadian specific problem. Look at anywhere people actually want to live in the US, it's essentially the same. LA and NY are just as expensive as Toronto. Only difference is there's less people in Canada that live in rural states like Iowa where everything is cheap because there isn't major city for hundreds of thousands of miles. This is all part of late stage capitalism and our inability to see past the short term. Corporations eventually take over if we don't do anything about it and everything becomes too expensive. People stop having kids so the government needs to increase immigration to support what few social systems we have left. I am so sick and tired of seeing this all the time. Look at all of our homeless all the veterans that fought for us to have our freedom that we hold so dear, What about those people ?? Some of them are on the streets and are homeless!! We’re not even barely helping our own people but yet we’re supposed to help all these immigrants that are coming over illegally and forcefully?
