This is a human tragedy. I try to put myself in their place, with my daughter, desperately needing a safe haven for us and being treated with disdain and hate. I don’t know how refugees have the courage to keep going.

They have no respect for law in their own country and we welcome them to live civil here.i lived in Venezuela for 5yrs these are the ones that caused support for Chavez to grow over the last 2decades and now their gonna come here,let them deal with their own problems that they brought on themselves .they hate us any ways They're lawless. Send them back and bring real refugees. They're coming because they're being invited. I have inlaws in Venezuela that are still able to live and have what they need each day, their countries in far worse conditions.

As a Canadian I find this utterly terrible. These migrants will either add to the chaos of the mass housing crisis, crime and antisocial behaviour Stateside which will ultimately spill onto Canadian borders. We just shut down Roxham road a few weeks ago yet these ILLEGAL ALIANS KEEP CLIMBING ACROSS CANADA US BORDER. CANADIANS AND AMERICANS NEED TO UNITE TO KICK THESE MIGRANTS BACK TO WHERE THEY CAME FROM. WE DONT HAVE HOUSING OR THE SOCIAL ASSISTANCE THEY REQUIRE AND WE DO NOT WANT THEM AS ILLEGALS. IF THEY WANT ENTRY APPLY LIKE NORMAL HUMANS AND STOP ACTING LIKE RATS. IM TIRED OF THESE REFUGEES COMING INTO CANADA TAKING UP ALL MY TAX MONEY YET I, A CANADIAN BORN WHOS FAMILY IMMIGRATED PROPERLY INTO THIS COUNTRY IN THE 1940 HAS TO SUFFER AND TAKE HOME LESS THAN HALF OUR PAY CAUSE TAXES EAT THE REST THAT GO TO THESE IDIOTIC MIGRANTS. Obama ended refugee status for Cubans before he left office. Biden making Venezuelans wait in Mexico who are actually refugees fleeing a murdering dictator not just wanting to enter a country just to find a higher paying job. What you are doing is sick. You are replacing a generation of babies that weren't born due to financial genocide with foreigners that are not wanted here. Our economy doesn't need more cheap labour, it needs more well paid labour. We need the price of housing to come down and that means lower population density. If businesses can't find enough employees then boohoo, PAY MORE. Replace the minimum wage with a living wage if you want to grow our economy and population, rather than the pocketbooks of the rich while they scab off the new cheap labour and continue paying meager wages that are getting our economy nowhere but benefit them greatly. This is cultural genocide and you need to stop, NOW! You don't see us burdening India with an additional 500,000 political refugees per year, now do you? They wouldn't allow it. We shouldn't either. I am angry about it and I hate my government for being such horrible sell-outs while throwing Canadians under the bus for a business bribe. I'm never paying taxes again. Why is everyone surprised Canada has immigration laws??? We do not hate ppl who want a life in Canada but you need to inform yourself properly before actually showing up here.Canada’s immigration system is not unnecessarily strict like the us, but that doesn’t equate to anyone coming here. There is no false hope. Also Vancouver is literally the worst place for an immigrant/ refugee to start their lives; way too expensive.

To me, it looks like Vice is really trying to pull the emotional card to get people to sympathize with this man because he really is in a rough situation. But, he is in a situation of his own making. It sounds like he had not done any prior research about Canada before deciding to claim refugess status. Yes, Trudeau was not giving the full truth when he made those public announcements to the media. Yes, people (educated or not) can be swayed by words of leaders they respect. But, to think you can just enter another country and claim refugee status without understanding what that actually entails is very naive. Canada has very transparent laws that are easily accessable in a multitude of different languages. The provinces also have legal assistance for those who can not afford lawyers. So, the fact that this man was able to spent $15,000 when he is being portrayed as a low income earner makes me question his income, or if he was even aware that he could apply for legal assistance. And since he has a lawyer who has been working his case, I would like to assume that the lawyer would have said something about assistance.\n\nI really want to be sympathetic for this man and his family, because security uncertainty makes life extra hard. But, as I have had to live in more than one country due to the Canadian immigration system refusing my husband due to a very old DUI (which has set our life on a completely different plan than anticipated), I have a very hard time being sympathetic when I feel as though they did not reach out to educated themselves on the laws of another country. I am a Canadian who currently can't live in Canada with my husband of 3 years and I still don't hate my country. I respect the hell out of it (this is not to get into our historic treatment of BIPOC, which deserves it's own seperate time and is a bloody stain on our land's history.)

I think people don't actually hate Muslim they are afraid that whether they also have to leave from their homes as Syrian refugees. Also i think the laws in Islam is no way close to existing world and they must take initiative to change the laws inorder to gain the trust Muslims. And since they are the ones who are struggling they themselves had to take the initiative. All the countries around the world are doing their part in trying to trust Muslims, they cannot ask for more they must change their laws.\n\nAnd education in Islam should not be allowed in schools

And why is Canadian government taking so much refugees from Africa and middle east if they know that many Canadian are racists towards blacks and Asians, racists people are just ignorance and they don’t want to accept their denial of the racists. Example I didn’t know that there’s different between humans and we are all humans but not kind of aliens from somewhere, as human being we should have just live together and treat people like we treated ourselves rather than hating others because of their skin color. Am African man and here in Africa we don’t have such things as black or white but we are all humans and we all believe that all humans are equal and it doesn’t matter whether you’re white or black..

Stop accepting any Muslim refugees unless you want to be eliminated. Stop being fooled. A religion based purely on hate. Period.

If the West is so anti-Islam or anti-Muslims, why then does the West still accept Muslim refugees? PS. Still wonder why Muslims who hate the West still choose to come to the West than emigrate to a Muslim majority country.

He is right hate is wrong, but the people also look into people who concerned about themselves. Maybe this guy might have forgotten about their ancestors past. \nNot every Muslim is bad, but Western world is too weak at present , they are unable and confused about refugees as they are standing between ethics and concerns of people of respective countries. \nAnywhere in democracy or any country in that matter , elected representatives are answerable to only their citizens. Not to other country people . They must listen to their people first, then others. I thought Western world is strong in administration and follows ethics. May be present situation shows how weak they are.

Hate refugees

Canada refugees and asylums are to be blame for this. I don't see Canadians converting to Islam.. I see the Canadian immigration taking them in by the thousands, this is why they are the fastest growing religion in Canada. Canada is potentially another Sweden and France. I hate to use the public transportation and these NINJAS choose to come sit right next to me. I get very nervous

15 years and can't speak English??!! Come on. My mom was illegal in the US and we moved to Canada after. She learner English because that was the language of both countries. She wasn't lazy. I am a 16 years old muslim from egypt, and I am saying that what ISIS are doing is against Islam, my relative was in the Egyptian army while he was shot by ISIS terrorists, what I am trying to say to all the world is that ISIS targets everyone, wether a muslim or non-muslim, they keep bombing masjids as well as churches, they keep killing thousands of muslims and christians in many states. ISIS islam is totally different from the Islamic values that I was raised based on as a kid. If the government of Canda wants to fight it, then they should take these steps.\n1- They should have a security cameras secretly placed in islamic schools and masjids\n2- They should have a security bars over the masjid doors to check if any one who enters the masjids has unouthorized materials\n3- They should have a continous and a strong link between the intelligence and the islamic centeres as this may help greatly in fighting back terrorist attacks\n4- They should give muslims equal rights, consideration, and responsibility to those of non muslim canadians as banning something may add the fuel to the fire.\n5- Those who have hate towards the nation should not be allowed in\n6- Measures should be taken to reduce hate crimes\n\nJust to inform you that those muslims who are living in Canada, most of them are either refugees or converts, those refugees have harsh conditions in their countries due to civil wars, thats why they fled the country. In Egypt, were the population is 90% muslim, there are 9% christians, mostly were Coptic Orthodox Christianity, and they are living side by side with muslims peacefully without any violence or discrimination. Muslims have ruled Jerusalem for many centuries and Jews, Muslims, and Christians lived side by side peacefully without any violence or discrimination. Those terrorist have nothing to do with Islam, they are claiming that they are muslims but they are actually not.\n\nBut, what I am surprised about is that those muslims living in Canada that is shown on this videos are very religious and they are a tiny percentage of all muslim population in Canada, In fact, a study survey in France says that before the Ban of Burqa, of 4 million muslim women living in France only 368 muslim women actually wore it, many muslim westerns dont even wear the Hijab except when they are praying. Even of Burqa was banned, this will never reduce the statistics of terrorism.

He has to understand that just by coming to Canada and claim refugee status wont guaranty that he will be accepted. He needs to have a long beard, hate women, cover his wife from head to toe and try to change Canadian ways. Then, and Only then he will be accepted.

So I can walk around in a full faced motorcycle helmet with just my eyes showing and be able to function in society within its laws and policies. Look at Europe , refugees not accepting help but then wanting to sue the governments who took them in . Riots rapings and violence hostility , no jobs or plans for jobs . Damm they are getting more rights and support than our own citizens receive and do activities that if we citizens done, we would be incarcerated .
