As an American I stand with Canada. Don't let Trump dictate what Canada does, stick it to his ass. He won't be president forever and I feel bad for our next president that person is going have alot to fix and put back in place.

Donald Trump claims to be a Christian but what he is doing to other countries and his own country by firing people from government jobs is totally against God God gives life he don't take it and he would never have sent people to the streets just because some politicians created a job for the people this is going to cause people to lose their homes vehicles and their livelihood it is totally evil. And then placing these tariffs on other countries is no less than say I want your country he wants Canada he wants Panama, he wants Ukraine's lithium. And he wants to take it all and he is wrong in that because he is affecting people's lives and God Almighty will not put up with Donald Trump giving into the spoiled brat Elon Musk and his dictatorship attitude. Both Elan and Trump have no heart for the poor or the hardship they have placed on these people but God Almighty has a heart for the people who have lost their jobs and their livelihood because of Donald Trump and Elon Musk. In the book of Isaiah God said to the people that were coming against Israel, you have pissed on a wall. And everybody knows that when you piss on a wall it's going to come back on you and that's exactly what's happened. They didn't do it to the people that lost their jobs they did it to God Almighty who loves all people and wants them to have their wages. Maybe Elon Musk knows everything about technology and space craft, but the man ain't got a lick a common sense he has exactly zero wisdom when making decisions. But his greatest lack as he has no heart for the people who are going to be disrupted by losing their jobs he doesn't feel a thing he has no heart he needs to read the Bible because that's where your heart gets developed and you know right from wrong. And you know what God approves of and what he doesn't, and I'm telling you right now God Almighty does not approve of what Donald Trump and Elon Musk are doing. I voted for him, and now I am ashamed that I voted for him because he never mentioned he was going to do all this horrible horror to the very American people that voted for him. Now I pray for God's divine intervention because what he's doing to the American people and to other countries is not right

America will no longer carry others, you got high tariffs on America, we put high tariffs on you, turn about is fair play. We voted for Trump to do EXACTLY what's he's doing, this is why everyone is barking now, America has been carrying so many countries for so long, that everyone has forgotten, no longer though. I’m sorry that Trump is so unreasonable. Trump only cares about the income that will benefit the rich, himself and power. The tariffs will effects jobs and people. Trump is an embarrassment to most of the people here. Elon Musk help him win the election by paying people to vote for Trump which I think should be against the law. Trump is putting the USA in a very dangerous place. Most of us stand with Canada and Ukraine but no one can bring Trump to reason. I really think Trump is plain outride stupid. Please keep fighting for Canada.

Doug Ford or Trudeau’s reciprocal actions against the U.S. are secondary to me as a Canadian. For days, they’ve been misleading the public with talk of imposing tariffs on U.S. goods or cutting power supply, but that’s not the real issue. \n \nWhat truly matters is how our government is actively mitigating the economic impact. Are they securing new markets? Have they repaired strained relations with China, which were damaged in 2021 over the arrest of Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou to appease the U.S.? Are we expanding oil exports to Japan, India, or China? Have we dispatched trade delegations worldwide to open new opportunities? \n \nWrong move. Canada doesn't have a functioning government. There is no mandate. The Prime Minister has resigned. Parliament is not in session. There is no reason to escalate. The focus should be on finding a solution the root cause of why the tariff was put in place over the border and fentanyl. \n \nIf not, then all these moves by Ford or Trudeau are meaningless—just political maneuvering to distract Canadians from the real problem.

I am an American citizen. I did not vote for Trump. I would never vote for somebody like Trump and I’m sorry for what he’s doing to Canada but you do what you have to do we’ll survive, but somebody has to put Trump in his place.

I tried launching a startup in cleantech in Canada, shortly after COVID. No private investors had an interest, and none of the banks lend to businesses, unless they have cash flow.\n\nLong story short, there is no economic mobility in Canada. You are either rich or poor, and nether can swap places. Despite how foolish property speculation is, compared to the potential of a cleantech startup (with a patent), rich people put it into real estate anyways. Literally everyone loses, because of the actions of economically illiterate rich people.

Canada is the worse place to live in. USA is doing the right thing to pull back industries and putting tariffs. Better to put aleast 50% tarrif on Canadian products.

Most illegal migrants spend thousands of dollars to commit the crime (entering any sovereign country illegally is simply an invasion). If they dare to enter China or any of the Arab countries this way, then who knows, they would be in heaven or hell rather than back home. All the deportees should be arrested on reaching back home for invading a foreign sovereign country and tarnishing the images of hundreds of millions of citizens of their countries who enter the USA or any other developed democratic country to study at the best of the universities, and after completion of the courses, they are not only provided the best of the jobs but also citizenship or other legal status to stay put in the countries. But these people reach their desired destination after going through rigorous educational and other processes and after a thorough background check. But in the matter of illegal immigrants, how are the victimized countries supposed to know their backgrounds? How can one be sure if they are not hardcore criminals, terrorists, spies, or even trained soldiers of enemy countries? In such uncertainty, how can the invaded countries be sure that an incident or incidents of such a large magnitude might not take place that, in comparison, the incident of 9/11 would look like the small incident of bursting firecrackers?But on one election promise, the president is, unfortunately, taking a complete U-turn that those students who do the master's and other higher studies should be retained and provided legal status to stay in the country as their contributions are needed to give the country the perpetual cutting edge in the highly competitive world and keep the country's status as number one. These scholars are feeling cheated that by spending huge amounts of money and contributing to the research and development during the studies, they have not only been taken for a ride but also become the main target of the deportation campaign as their status is available with the government. On the other hand, millions of undocumented workers are comparatively safe, as tracing and deporting them is not an easily achievable task. Besides, millions of foreign citizens are given entry into the country on flimsy grounds, and many of them do not even ever go to elementary school. I think even God would not be able to make out what the fuck this country has become on this issue. Almost the same is the situation with most of the EU countries, the UK, Australia, and Canada.

I saddens me that ordinary citizens (not wealthy) are stuck in this incredibly difficult life. We all slug to keep the wealthy bathed in riches and the government assists them. It is crazy that Canada has been rated #1 to #3 of the best places to live in this world. Tells you how other countries are facing even more hardship than we are. The 'let them eat cake' faction has got to be put back in place.

Lets keep i real. The desire that most immigrants have is homeostasis which is the familiar. All humans do this. Individually indians are usually smart and decent people. But in groups ( and this doesnt just include indians) you get this group thinking that is prejudice against anyone who isnt one of their own. Im fairly certain its a good demonstration of what a different culture would experience in their own country. This is especially noticeable in markem with the Chinese population. \n\nLet me say this loud and clear. We didnt let you come here so you could start your own countries inside of our country. And beleive me, your gunna get rocked and put in your place if you guys keep coming here and being disrespectful. That goes for the any culture who is putting themselves first at the expense of other Canadians, and im not talking about white canadians im talking about all Canadians from anywhere. We re all equal and you will not be allowed to position your selves in a way that gives you immunity to these values. \n\nIm getting really tired of going into business like tim hortons and knowing what the nationality of the owner is by just looking around at the staff who work in fhe business. We let you have a seat at our table to break bread with us in a mutually benifital relationship. But what is pretty evident is that a lot of these people dont like us and if it was up to them we wouldnt exist. They fail to behave in a way that acknowledges the truth. That the family whos heritage is of this land, built this house that your living in. With our low corruption goverments , our clean drinking water, our free health care and education system, with our opportunities that make it possible through merit and hard work that it doesnt matter what family or where you were born. These are attractive features of canada that play a role in why people want to come here. And leave where they were. Its it logical to think that you have more to learn about us then we do of you? Not being on some selfish punk shit is canadas greatest strength. Its that same inclusives mentality that keep the government corruption very small which empowers the citizens to make them successful and able to contribute more back into this system. The very nature of hoarding resources for ones family, same culture, etc are the same oppressive situations many of these people left their countries to seek better opportunities. But once given those opportunities and a chance to decide for themselves, a lot of these people use their liberties to create exclusion and hostility toward out groups. The indians do this in a very overt in your face way, the chinese are more polite about it but both have this way of looking out for their own and not being concerned with anyone else. As far as im conerned you should all be split up and dispersered to live in different provinces and cites. I know this isnt realitic but it would save them from what a lot of them are gunna end up be exposed to which is experiences with native born Canadians who are going to very rudly show you what happens when you disrespectf someone in their own home. \n\nThe party is over. You people need to start being Canadian and care about Canadians like you care about your own culture or get the fuck out!

It's only a matter of time before America pushes every country right into arms of The BRICS Nations. You can BET THE FARM if Canada and Mexico join BRICS China, Russia, and other countries will be invited to set up shop right on the Rio Grande in the South and Niagara Falls on the Northern border of the United States. America will LITERALLY BE SURROUNDED. If Panama feels threatened they will join BRICS for protection as will Greenland and every other nation on earth INCLUDING other international port locations. This is a disaster of BIBLICAL proportions to the US economy if the US loses the privilege to be served at just a couple of the strategically placed locations. Canada, Mexico, Panama, Greenland, etc... have to be asking themselves is it worth it being Americas FOOLS???

As an NRI I honestly don't see what the problem is with this and if anything more stringent measures should be put in place. Look at the state of Canada. Is anyone honestly surprised that anti-Indian sentiment exists? It isn't racist. It's common sense. Behave and assimilate or you're not welcome. This should be a rule (and not just an ideal) that all nations and people should aspire to.

Indians have no respect for their host country and are involved in lots of crime. They bring their local politics and religion and make a mess about it here in Canada. I also think their mindset is very parochial. For example, you hear some Indians saying they are taking over Canada and behaving arrogantly. The Chinese don't behave in that manner despite the fact they have a huge population. Indian so-called talent is just a farce, It's all about cheap labour. Expect more countries to kick Indians out and put in place stringent visa policies.

You seemed to have conveniently missed a few more main points. We, Indians, put ourselves down.\n\nThey are;\n1) Out of 100 Indiands traveled abroad either for tourism or business, only 50 returns home, and the rest try to find jobs to live there.\n\n2) Many Indians forge documents or produce fake documents to get visas.\n\n3) Where the Indians go, they bring pan and pan parag items and spit sll over the place, especially the North Indians. South Indians are much better.\n\n4) We, Indians, can go any lower to get a job abroad at low pay. So, we put our own grades down.\n\nThere are numerous examples I know of. Let me cite a few below.\n\n1) In one of the Western countries, a few years ago, a real Punjabi brother and sister who staged fake a marriage, got a marriage certificate, and other documents only to migrate there. The government eventually found put and deported them.\n\n2) Canada deported a few hundred Gujarati students when the US border security found them not speaking in English. On investigation, it was found that they all came with fake IELTS certificate.\n\nThere are many incidents we get to witness the day after the day. So, we can't blame other countries. It's us who made us very cheap in the international market. Because of those Indians, the entire innocent, honest, and talented Indians community is affected.

They bring their Hindu religious supremacy into Canada. In Toronto these new fake students even brag that they will put 1000 statues into the water in the Wasaga beach. We pride our secularism and Wasaga beach is a public beach. We respect other religions but we dislike other faiths trying to monopolize public places.

When Mr. Trump comes to power, he will put those illegal scammers migrants in their places and will give Canada a big warning for causing all these problems.

Low skill and low wage might have been ok when costs were low - low food prices, low energy prices, low housing and rental costs, etc. Now that everything is incredibly expensive, Canada is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either wages will go up (which have been fairly stagnant for the last 30-40 years) so that it goes above and beyond inflation, OR you will not be able to bring in low skill, low wage labor. Simply put, when rents are $3000 a month in Toronto, minimum wage of $15/hr is $2500/mth (before taxes). Add another $1000/mth for food, and $500/mth for other expeditures - and you can see that just to survive - a person in Toronto needs a minimum of $4500/mth to not be on the streets. And this is IFF they are not married and have kids which can easily drive expenses to $6000/mth\n\nSo... for someone to just live normally, they need a bare minimum of $30/hr for 2000hr/year - this is a salary of $60K before taxes!\n\nBut the median income in Canada is 35K to 40K (it's on your tax return which determines if you get extra help from the government).\n\nSo... with these prices - you will never get low wage workers here... period. You can't expect immigrants to work as slaves and then pull your country out of the mess you created by spending money on useless programs like a drunken sailor.\n\nCut costs, cut taxes, cut inflation (stop printing money), cut useless programs (ala DOGE in the US), allow housing to crash, diversify your economy, invest in start ups and entrepreneurs, increase salaries, scrap the carbon tax, etc. Notice - none of these have anything to do with immigration.

I see no flaw in their logic,\n\nThe truth is that I believe that the bad strategies implemented by the government, and the lack of regulation, harmed everyone who wants to do things well. I don't want to offend anyone, but it is totally illogical that a country as popular as Canada has not put these measures in place before, which are not brutal, they are basic. \n\nThink that most countries in the world do not allow an international student to work 24 hours a day. Furthermore, the level of fraud for admission to colleges and universities is very high, many students do not even go to classes...and do not even pass the language filters. Added to the agencies that promoted the lie that if you studied two years at college, you would get the PR :S, NOBODY DID ANYTHING.

The new immigrants are finding Canadians not so happy and friendly as advertised, since covid the streets are full of homelessness and sad faces, when you go to the grocery store the bill will put a frown on your face, the price of staple foods from back home is unaffordable in Canada, I'd flee back home to if I had a place to go, Canada is moving backwards at a rapid pace and only getting worse. I must mention the brutal cold winters.

I understand traveling for years outside Canada for the last decade will put you far out of the Candian market. If you followed the traditional work-invest in Canada approach you might feel different. As a baby boomer, I am set and my nieces and nephews who have entered the market early, they all have homes. If you are just coming to Canada now, blame the Trudeau immigration plan that has overwhelmed the system. In 5 to 10 years we may have caught up, I will be gone but the current immigrants will be in good shape. Leaving now will just put you further behind in Canada unless you can find some place that will pay you an outrageous salary and no taxes. Good luck.

Any politician/corporation/CEO that supports, ignores or enables the breaking of laws, should be considered to be in breach of those laws as well. Any one that makes use of or allows illegal (as in breaking the law) immigration/immigrants should be removed from the post and jailed. \n\nWhy do liberals progressives think they are above the law or that they only need to follow the laws that they want too? I can only hope Canada, the UK, the US and EU see extreme changes to our immigration and protections put in place for citizens and our cultures in the future.

I'm esst indian born in a small northern BC town and these indian students have literally ruined places.....its a plight. None should have been let in esp that many. A lot of these people are poor backwards villagers...rapists and just lowly people who shouldn't be here. They should put a freeze on it all. Its a literal burden...disgusting. it's feeling less like canada every day.

Actually she's isn't wrong if indians start taking over jobs and properties or businesses in canada where will the natives go? It's their country so they have the right to speak up if your presence or actions is hurting them atleast she didn't abuse you she was honest about the problem she and her family might be facing because of indians and indian government should bs ashamed that every year massive amounts of indians abandon their citizenship and settle in other countries spreading like a virus engulfing opportunities that the natives deserved... Put yourself in their place for a second and think...even in india Mumbai used to be peacefull and clean all those beautiful beaches... As soon as people from other states were allowed to settle in Maharashtra they overpopulated the state making it very conjusted for natives....indians especially the sanatani community once they spread beyond a limit in a country they try to force their ideologies on the natives thus ruining the peacefull environment and now even the indian government seems to be involved in a murder of some sikh guy which was expected considering the hate for sikhs they spread here in india which is how they win elections...

I thought the whole concept of Canadian immigration is to seek new settlements in other provinces that are lacking population. I wonder if the government are doing that to put immigrants in those provinces and to build a strong Canadian society, with a strong-hold economically throughout the country. But that includes having the immigrants agreeing to setup bases in rural areas that needs a build-up. It's literally a settlers 2.0. But I see that as an escape from another place that has nothing. No is pressured to doing anything, it's just being transparent in what will happen. And in another way, the citizens of Canada will see it as giving into the country.

I'm Canadian and I'm surprised that even African news outlets can see the mess that Canada is. I think India needs to put in place a policy regarding childbirth its gotten out of hand.

Hey Igor, I feel your view is understandable but the issue I see is mostly in Ontario. There are many examples of people who seem to be from a particular community creating issues there, I have heard of persons who don't seem to understand how to communicate and making things difficult for other groups of people, coming to canada to work and slacking in their studies which is why they are in canada and also where people who are PR unable to get a job because only international students are getting hired. but I agree the government need to put better regulations in place to prevent people from being taken advantage of and hire people based on qualification and make the work place more diverse where possible with fair wages that are liveable as well as understand that they sold canada as the place to be for anyone to gain citizenship from the education stream

I am constantly annoyed by the following, but because I was born in Canada, I would be cancelled for saying the things you can. I am also Indian. Here’s the list that comes to mind. I might come back and edit this because I am sure there are things I am forgetting: \n\n- coughing into your elbow instead of your hands (literally watched a guy yesterday on the bus cough into his hands then put his hands onto the support bar)\n\n- Standing to the side and letting people off the train so you can get on instead of trying to walk through people who are trying to get off \n\n- Standing up and moving to the side to let somebody off on an inside seat of the bus. I have a butt. I don’t want to be squeezing by you \n\n- Taking off their backpack while standing on the bus and putting it between their legs\n\n- Moving to the back of the bus instead of crowding by the doors\n\n- Standing in lines to get onto the bus instead of crowding\n\n- Not littering. Either put your garbage in the bin or take it with you. Stop leaving it on the beach or on hiking trails.\n\n- Learn about hiking before attempting it. We have people going up in jeans and flip flops in the evening and getting stuck on mountains or injured. Some wear running shoes but they don’t have enough traction for the trail\n\n- Shovel the sidewalk in front of your home when it snows\n\n- Stop dousing yourself with axe body spray. \n\n- Understand that Indian food makes your clothes smell. It gives off oils that get stuck in everything. Open your windows and doors when cooking to minimize this as much as possible. You won’t be able to resolve this entirely but do what you can. The skytrain now smells like Indian food even when empty. \n\n- Stop riding your bikes and scooters on the sidewalk. It’s illegal and you have a responsibility to learn the rules \n\n- Stop hiring everybody that you know. Before nepotism was all about networking, but nowadays, it seems to be about hiring Indian people that you know. I am being discriminated by employers because they think I will do the same once I am in. Diversity in teams matters. Indian immigrants don’t seem to believe in this and think all that matters is the most qualified get the job. This is how you end up building facial recognition models that don’t recognize Black people. \n\n- You work at McDonald’s. Stop blasting Indian music. The McDonald’s by my place is blasting Indian music from the back and it overtakes the restaurant music. \n\n- In a work environment, even if it is all Indians, speak English. You ostracize your fellow colleagues and customers. You are also not improving your English skills by speaking in your primary language.\n\n- Make an effort to make non-Indian friends. It’s really intimidating even as an Indian to see large packs of Indian men\n\n- Learn how to swim. Every year we have multiple drownings at a lake because Indian people are unprepared for the reality of the water. This is a basic safety skill.\n\n- Stop staring at women. Even as an Indian woman I get stared at by these guys. Just stop. \n\n- Get headphones. The Canadian charter of rights and freedoms exists. Under it cases were won supporting equality for women, LGBTQ rights, etc. this is built into our constitution and it’s so ridiculous to come across people who don’t adopt Canadian values. Why choose Canada if you want a culture of what’s back at home. \n\n- I get it that our healthcare system needs to improve but am disappointing reading advocacy for private healthcare in Indian Facebook groups in Canada. Tommy Douglas was voted as the greatest Canadian. He is the founding father of our nationalized healthcare system. For the most part, Canadian are happy that we don’t have a healthcare system like the United States, where your access is determined by your employer or your income. We don’t go bankrupt when we have a health emergency. Go back to India or go to another place where you can pay for private healthcare, but stop advocating to transition our healthcare system to a private system. It’s because of behaviour like this Canadians are hating international students from India .?. The 2022 -2023 batch on international students are a disgrace not saying g all of them are bad just most dont come to study just a back door into the country they see one of there family members went to Canada and they should to ?‍♀️. Having so ma y people come in just puts a strain on housing, who would think that people from a hot country would want to go to a cold country…. Just go to a wormer country . Landlords do not want to rent their places because of stories like this and THAT is why there is a shortage of rental housing in Canada! Why would any landlord want to put themselves in such a vulnerable position, potentially not getting rent and in turn not being able to cover their OWN mortgage. Does the bank let people not pay their mortgage for a year?! No! I know so many people who have empty suites that they won’t rent out because they are worried about tenants not leaving when it isn’t working out or when they want their space back etc. It’s so frustrating as an owner and parent of kids who are getting older and who are looking for rentals. If the tenancy board can’t do their job then get rid of them and hire new people who can.

If you put high educated people in a bad position, plenty of contries offering them higher life conditions. It is same for Germans, Germany creating very good engineers, doctors, etc and they are leaving the country.\n\nMaybe instead of creating making migration easier. Canada's peace, safety, security, and economy are being negatively impacted by some individuals who come to Canada on student visas, particularly those from India. These individuals are allegedly committing various crimes such as carjacking, theft, and other offenses to support themselves financially while living in Canada and sending remittances to their families in India. Unfortunately, their actions do not contribute positively to Canadian society or the economy; instead, they place a significant financial burden on the economy and create unrest in the community.The Canadian government must put a 5-10 year ban on Indian student and deport all those who are involve in illigal activities or does not have financial funding from their home country to study and live in Canada.

I left Canada at the end of last year. After years of busting my butt and trying to get ahead, i wasn't going anywhere. \nThe job that i had worked at for years decided to outsource my entire team to another country and i was left with a decision to try and atart from scratch or atart fresh elsewhere. \nSo i booked a flight to Thailand and i spent three months there. While going on a border run to get a visa extension, i went to Cambodia. It was just a short trip, but it keftnits mark on me and ive been here for almost six months now. \nI didnt like how i felt back in Canada and i didnt like what i was seeing the countey become. Instead i ended up in a country that had been through one if the worst thjngs imaginable and the people were the most lively and welcoming that I've ever met. ********Important**********************Since I've been living in Canada for more than two years, the immigration protests you mentioned have occurred. To put it briefly, everyone moves to different provinces for PR, just like I did when I studied in Toronto for two years. The CRS score for PR is significantly higher there, and there aren't as many easy possibilities, therefore students there relocate. The protest is taking place in Prince Edward Island, where I moved a few months ago. They are protesting for the extension of their work permit and the opening of those easy PR draws, which are currently paused. I moved here in order to obtain PR, but I worry that this protest is inappropriate. Because everyone must submit a statement of purpose (SOP) when applying for a visa to Canada, and in that statement you clearly indicate that you will return to your home country after completing your studies and working there. However, if this statement is not clear, the visa officer may reject your application, stating that they believe you will not return home after completing your studies and working there. In order to avoid having our visa applications denied, we always attempt to assure the officer that we will return home. You have no right to request a PR, an extension of your work visa, or anything else if you have made this statement of purpose plain on your own. If you're thinking about moving to Canada, always make sure that the government is in charge. When I planned, getting our PR was simple, and now that they've changed the laws and regulations, they have rights as immigrants, so nobody should fight against getting PR and a work visa, etc.

I was born in Canada in the 80s. My parents are from India. So call me racist if it gets you off. My ass is browner than yours probably. \nMy parents, and my uncles and aunts who came here in the late 1970s had to work their asses off to prove they were worthy of even ENTERING Canada, let alone to live in the country. ALL of my older male relatives who came to Canada at that time had a PhD in a science related field or was a medical doctor. EVEN then, they had to go through years of re-training in Canadian schools in order to have a shot at PR. And they persevered and did it, and did well. \nNow, anyone and their dog is allowed in, and it's kind of an insult to all my relatives had to accomplish in order to build a life here. They had to earn doctorates and medical degrees TWICE (once in India and again in Canada).\nWell, that generation did well, and now we're the kids who are grateful and enjoying the sacrifice they put in. What will the kids of illiterate, minimum wage workers be like? Probably not so good.\nCanada's probably done. But does the average Canadian have any desire to do anything. Nope. They used to value hard work and ambition when I was growing up but Canadian culture has become lack of ambition, and entitlements just for existing. \nSo, at least I was raised with the idea of working to no end and sacrificing in order to accomplish something in life. Now, I have the resources to live where I like and do. It is happening both ways, USA and Canada. For 8 years, migrants have entered USA from its southern border, prob. from Central America, then bussed to New York, then put into taxi's at New York and driven at Roxham Road into Canada. We don't need them in Canada either. Last I heard, Roxham Road has been closed. Only way to bring sanity back to the way it once was is to elect Trump in USA and Pierre Poilievre in Canada where migrants will be sent back to their places of origin.
