I think one of the main issues is the quality of some of these Indian migrants. What does a poorly educated, low skilled countryside bumpkin that can't speak English from the backwaters of Punjab offer a modern first world country like Canada? And many of these Punjabis have a skewed perception of Canada when they arrive here, often swaggering around like gangsters and making a show of themselves. They arrive here thinking the country belongs to them.

Major chunk of Indian immigrants are from a state in india called Punjab. And most of them belong to Khalistani Ideology which is a violent anti India organisation. So these people if you notice are quite rude, arrogant, and loud in nature. They don't care of other's and will play some loud punjabi music in public places. Most of them are illiterate and have entered canada by some illegal way. They have a big Nexus through which they enter canada by some illegal means. People from non punjab region are in general peaceful and follow local laws. They just want to work there and live a good life. Before British went to India, Indians were not migrating outside of India. India was a group of rich kingdoms. British ruined our country and robbed it for 200 years. They left the country in 1947 in very poor condition, dividing it in to 2 countries, India and Pakistan. Instead of blaming these people, one must question their own government authorities who make the rules and legislation to facilitate this. Maybe it's just the truth of a desperate Canadian economy that needs immigrants to keep fueling the 'aging' Canadian economic engine. These people come in and work hard, odd jobs (not to mention the exceptional skilled ones as well like Doctors, health care workers etc.) which the regular Canadian wouldn't do. I've been in Canada for 2 years without a Family doctor. Thank God, the last 10 different Doctors I met were all fresh immigrants and came to my rescue. Ask your conscience, without these immigrants, you wouldn't be getting your late night coffee at the time Hortons drive thru, no one to take your blood works without you waiting several months in waiting, no ways for universities to subsidize tuition fees for the poorer Canadian students. If immigrants stop coming in, the nice detached home you live in will go down in value, the nice truck you drive will become more expensive, your kids University tuition fees will sky rocket, Canadian companies selling groceries, furniture, etc. Will have lesser revenue and eventually get eaten up be American giants, Canadian companies won't have cheap labour to build those much needed housing. \nNot only question your government, but also question your 'own' people.. Where are they to serve you? Where are the so called patriotic 'original' Canadian Doctors'? They are off to US to earn more money. U think they care enough for their home country?\n If Canada won't, somebody Else will accept these people. Im seriously considering leaving Canada. I was born here, but its the not the same as it used to be. Rent and food prices have skyrocketed, theres massive drug abuse and homelessness issues, and the culture has changed completely. Im not racist, but lets be real Indian culture has completely taken over. I feel like i dont belong in my own country anymore

I went to canada with my family when i was 6 years old i thought it was so beautiful the native americans treated us with kindness my dad bought me some moccisens there. A chinese immagrant restaurant owner was nice to us the white people many of them wrent very nice this was in 1969 in the summer but i loved the wilderness and wanted to go back and see the indians. I was a dreamer. Unfortenately and through my own fault after i got out of the military honerably discharged . I got a dui again it was my stupidity but i payed my fine did my jail time and got educated about not drinking and driving. It is not a felony i the US but it is in Canada so canada gets ahold of my driving records maybe they hacked in. And said i could not go into canada. I noticed they let george w. I moved to Halifax from India. Lived there 2 years, moved to Etobicoke then Kitchener, then Waterloo and now leaving in Brampton.\nIts been 7 years in Canada and 1.5 years in Brampton.\n\nWhen someone asks me why you live in Brampton, it’s unsafe city or ghetto. I am like hell no, never leaving Brampton. Brampton is safe city compare to some other GTA cities, look at statistics. Its just have bad name because of lots of south asian people.\n\nBrampton is brampton, only place I feel belonged and enjoying living in Canada with little Indian tweest. \n\nBrampton takes away our dependency on cooking during hectic days as restaurants are hell cheap, easy to find home-cooked tiffin with lots of options. Main reason easy to find Gujarati foods and other vegetarian food. Tons of pure vegetarian Indian restaurants in Brampton.\n\nGreat feelings come when you are tried and don’t want to cook and at same time don’t want to eat in restaurants then home-cooked food is always available to your neighbourhood for just 6-7 dollar.
