Break down from a Canadian who moved to the US. Basically, Indians moved to Brampton because it was a cheaper area, yet close enough to Toronto. My parents came to Canada over 30 years ago with employable skills and money to support ourselves. We go through Canadian education system, get Canadian jobs and pay Canadian taxes. We still celebrate our own heritage with food and holiday but we do them in our own house. Not sticking into people’s faces. I feel that’s how immigration should be like. I lived in Canada for 11 years, 2008 - 2019, went to university and worked in Toronto. I come from an upper-middle class family in China, went to a top university in Canada, landed good jobs and I speak English like a native. I got my PR in 2015 and I remember the painful uphill battle I had to go through just get that. All the bureaucracy, redtape, unnecessarily rigid rules, high cost and long wait I received from CIC/IRCC felt like a humiliation to me. Every document was scrutinized and every step had obstacle that fealt unreasonable (my TOEFL examiner ask me why I had to do the language test required by CIC, and I had to visit a notary to validate my Chinese national ID card). It felt uneasy but I understood that these were the rules that everyone had to go through, and moving and integrating into a new society was never meant to be easy. I went back to Canada in 2021 and 2024, and it was evident that the country I once called home had gone down the hill. The streets were screaming crime, unemployment, inflation, drug and filth, it's total social rot. As someone who went through the whole immigration process (and many of my friends who went through the same have left Canada for good, like myself), I attribute much of this to failed immigration policy. I cannot help but feel confused, angry, betrayed and humiliated when I look at the recent immigration policies of Canada and their results, and compare with what I had to go through. The feeling sums up to: Canada penalizes the hard-working and law-abiding people, and rewards the undeserved and the cheaters. Example: when the US creates wars in the Middle East, why does CANADA bear the cost of bringing in refugees? I never regretted moving back to China and East Asia, and I feel bad for those who still truly think of Canada as home, as I am one myself. When the leadership of a country deviates from pragmatism, reason and common sense, and instead embraces idealogies, hypocrisy and political optics, this is what happens. The prices are paid by everyone, immigrant or not. For this, Trudeau deserves a court trial for his incompetence and dereliction of duty; and the people of Canada need some honest and serious retrospection. I will share some words of wisdom by the late Lee Kwan Yew: “Whoever governs Singapore (LKY was the PM and founding father of Singapore) must have that iron in him. Or give it up. This is not a game of cards, this is your life and mine. Two generations ago (50-60 years ago) the Indians who came to Canada, with no family in Canada had excellent qualifications. They had to come with jobs waiting for them in universities, engineering firms, architectural firms and hospitals. The students were Masters or Ph.D. with full scholarship. They went on to build the country but they were minorities fighting the occasional racism on the street (as the woman in the green t- shirt says). Today, as a result of Trudeau's naïveté about the level of corruption in India, there's a huge influx of relatively unqualified Indians arriving and not being able to assimilate into Canadian society because they do not have good job qualifications. They end up living in ghettos and turn to crime. We must fix that by being much more selective of Indian immigrants. As someone of the Indian diaspora, I'd also like to say that there are those Indo Canadians ("brown folks") who want nothing to do with the Brampton or Surrey ghettos. Many of us are completely secular, having no religion and share nothing with these people fighting around temples and yelling at each other in Punjabi or Hindi. We speak English and French and vote in the elections.

As someone who is born in Canada as an Indian. This is absolutely sad to here. I want the best for Canadians who are born and raised here. I have 10 years of experience working in the nation I was raised and I am having some people have my job who aren't even fit for the job. It makes no sense to me. Our wages have stalled due to international students for a better life, but at the end I want money just like other Canadians who have been here for ages. We can have a decomcratic country if our country didn't care about just "growth" we didn't need more immigration. We needed systematic change in government, schools, common sense, I could go on. I think us as Canadians don't know how corrupt the world really is. Look at other countries and how they work. It's lucrative essentives to benefit only certain people. I would rather have our tax payer money be used to fix the system. My dad's been here since the 1980s and he is sad for everyone. This is a loss on both ends. We didn't create new universities, new highways to support the population, no hospitals, new schools. I remember when my class sizes were 18 to 20 kids. We need change, not radical because we were never that. Let's do what we do best and be Canadians for us first.

Employers should be aware of SINs before hiring people. I am also an immigrant, but my dad worked hard as a skilled worker to bring us here to Canada. I pay my duly taxes monthly and yearly. So I find it unfair when people work under the table. However, I've noticed that some students, who never attend their classes, end up in high positions with well-paying jobs at big companies. Meanwhile, I can't count how many refugees and immigrants are in low-income brackets, receiving 100% coverage for their medication and a monthly allowance from the government. In contrast, Canadian senior citizens still have to pay 20-30% of their medication costs and don't get the same privileges when it comes to their essentials. It frustrates me that the government makes our senior citizens suffer at retirement age, even after they've worked so hard for so many years. Yet they still struggle to pay for their own medication and necessities. I've encountered many rude refugees and people on income support from other countries who feel entitled to special treatment just because they are under government programs. Ironically, some of them come wearing luxury clothes and bags—like Gucci and Louis Vuitton. As I said, I am an immigrant too, but my heart goes out to those who have fully earned the support and benefits they deserve.

The easiest and fairest solution is to ban Indian nationals from applying for a student visa . This issue is not just exclusive to Canada but to other places in the world like the UK, Australia, Germany and the US. There are far too many Indians applying for courses that they have no intention of ever attending.

I can only hope and pray for our Beautiful country to belong to us Born and Raised Canadians again. That these people will be pushed out of our country eventually. I'm an Aussie who did a Working Holiday in Canada and was shocked at the level of segregation in Canadian cities. They have literal cities that cater exclusively to one ethnicity; examples include Surrey and Brampton (Indian), Richmond, Burnaby and Markham (Chinese) and Vaughan (Italian). It's really funny cos Canadians that come to Australia like to lecture us on how welcoming and mixed Canada is when Canadian society is far more segregated than ours.

Lol Also, you came as a international student and knowingly u cant afford the tuition. Its clearly u didnt care about going to school and used it as a gate way to canada. You dont go aboard studying for a better life in that country. U study abroad to either bring back new knowledge to your country or to full fill a requirements for a job back home.. The most common one is the opportunity to have a degree from a well known school for family braging rights and take over family bussiness. Which bring us back to, studying aboard is strictly for wealthy families no matter where u live . Imagine a candian going to london or europe we would pay just as much plus conversion rate. So for indians like him self, studying aboard paying 8 k cad per course shojdl be impossible. Only a super wealthy family can afford that in india or canada .

Canadian that spent 16 years in Japan. I went as an individual. I stayed as an individual. Married a Japanese. Came back to Canada for a pension and can't wait to leave. I were in Japan and if I saw a group of Canadians arrive expecting Japan to change for them, I would have been severely pissed off with them. Every other country and normal immigrant that came as an individual or individual family probably thinks the same way I do. No one in any country likes to see "Mass Immigration" and even Japan these days are looking at an influx of half a million Indians and who knows how many more Africans. This will change Japan and they'll turn a good culture into their shitty culture and I'm not happy with that. I liked being one of few. Yes I had American, Canadian, Australian, Kiwi and British friends as well as Japanese friends. But we were all individuals that adopted the way of living in Japan into our everyday lives. If I go back, I don't want to be in india. It'd be like living in Brampton. What pisses me most is the attitude of that muslim guy. Yes you are out breeding us but not all majorities rule. In Malaysia, Malays rule despite being the smaller population. They have more Chinese and Indians there but they have to live under the rule of the native Malays. So you will have to do the same in Canada despite if your population is larger. You adapt to this country. The country doesn't convert to accomodate you. Individuals are key. Groups are the bane of all countries.

let me tell you why as your white ancestors got new land for their people like golden rush in America from europe we indians didn't capture that but now a days look at the indian population thats why well educated people are moving towards country like us canada australia for better lifestyle and miss their indian environment 😅

Dude it’s just a Hindu temple, and the statue ur filming is Hanuman a vanar warrior who was in charge of guarding lord ram the avatar of Vishnu and a highly revered god or deity in Hinduism. It symbolizes the protection. It’s like you filming a church, mosque, gurdwara, Buddhist Shinto temple or any place of worship . Even the Chinese population is more than Indian over all in North America us-Canada overall. Problem is we don’t spy or build ccp police stations . Weakness is a problem

Our families have been here from India since 1887 in Canada. Our parents came here 1965. We suffered racism and pathed the way for the newcomers. The difference is that our parents came the right way with a sponsorship. These newcomers think they are better than us. We couldn't afford a car for years. These newcomers are rolling in sports cars as soon as they land. They haven't suffered hardship like we did here. Please don't put us on the same level as them. I know some that have come here and really worked their way up to adapt here. The government needs to stop giving out free handouts to the ones that are abusing our country.

This is what happens when you only interview old, white boomers. I was just in Brampton for my cousins wedding (they’re Indian). The wedding had tons of young white, Indian, Asian, etc. people. Everyone was having a good time and having fun. Old people don’t change, young people adapt and live. For what it’s worth, Brampton was bustling, growing, and there was construction everywhere. It felt safer and definately was cleaner than any size city like that in the US. All the Indians I know there (my extended family) are engineers, lawyers, finance types, and doctors. One of my uncles got the Order of Canada - he lives in downtown Toronto though, very wealthy cardiologist now.

the homeless people who would rather starve at the shelter instead are just too racist to go to the gurdwara for free food, or to realise they immigrants are actually kind and hard working. Not everyone is like that in my experience, I'm not from brampton but I'm sikh and I have sikh friends who are white and indigenous as well. One thing people don't realise is a lot of Canadians are actually really racist. You clearly saw that from the interview of the guy and his wife who was an RN, they passed the exam fair and square but I feel like his lack of understanding of the English language didn't get his point across right. The point he missed was the quality of life is higher in Canada, In India it's way easier, the cost of living is way cheaper, there's tons of cheap labour to hire maids for all your house work for example which is common in their culture, but as you've probably seen online, India isn't the cleanest or friendliest place to be, and if he was a nurse in India he would probably be broke without a good job, and having the opportunity to find good high paying jobs in something that Canadians also do when they travel to the US if a position in their field isn't available in whatever local city they grew up in. The main issue stems from international students from like after covid, regardless of country, India is in the spotlight because there's just more indians compared to other countries international students but its all the same stuff, you have kids from all over the world that might not have learned the same cultural practices, fresh 16-18 year olds living alone for the first time that have to do all their own chores and don't even know how to take care of themselves in some cases or do laundry or anything like that and it doesn't mean they were illegal immigrants or anything, just that they never put in the effort to learn because they were too entitled, its the same with entitled kids that go to Korea or Japan from north America as well that don't learn their culture and customs and misbehave because they are too entitled, and once you understand that you can see the bigger picture more clearly instead of just defaulting to racism. Also I'm not saying they can't be frustrated, its frustrating for everyone, even for me but racism isn't the answer.

The issue with Canada is that, when Europeans came here, they didn't integrate with native Indians, didn't accept their traditions/lanuages but brought their own European culture/traditions and languages and named it as a Canadian Culture. The reason why Europenas were able to take over the whole Canada and impose English and French language is that European culture was strong, then brown/black/asian people are moved to Canada and they are brought their own culture/languages, but the brown culture really stood up and sustained because their culture was strong like europeans and more of them are still coming. the history is repeating itself because of politicians in power. People on the both sides are not willing to listen the other side, for example, citizens think that international students are creating the a here, doing cash jobs but they don't see that this coutntry that charged them $9k/term tution fees can't even provide them a job forcing them to work illigally and commit crimes, and on the other side Internation students think that citizens hate us because they are brown but big NO citizens are frustrated because they have no jobs and immigrants are not integrating themselves among other communities. Higher unemployment = higher crime = more = higher division among people, ALL THIS IS HAPPENING BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT IS ALLOWING.

Who says immigrants from India don't pay Taxes... Our taxes are the reason why Canada is able to pay EI to the unemployed Canadian who sit back and do no work. Be hard working like us and then lift a finger

It's not the first time Canada has changed. The first was when the Whites from Europe and UK colonized it and killed the first nations, enslaved and indoctrinated their kids into Christianity wiping out their own culture, religion & language.
